#Warlock boon?

We're looking into it 🤓
Omen of the Sands affects Gladiators. The "doom" part of the omen affects Warlocks. Still worth using them even with that downside imo. Everyone knows warlocks' summons are very powerful.
Hope this helped!
New unit Warlock confirmed!
Was looking for this too. I too was curious if Warlock is what was Necromancer was called previously or if I was just blind and/missing something.
But what is Warlock? Is that was Necromancer was previously called?
So then is it only for the warlock necromancer skin?
No
The skin being named warlock has nothing to do with a stray string pointing to a unit named Warlock.
this is the only connection to warlocks that I have seen
If you follow what the debuff is refering to...what other unit summon?
I did the research and the necro has no warlock tags, that's why I'm asking if we are being teased on a new unit. Too random of a boon and it points to nowhere apart from the gladiator 🤷♀️
It seems most of these Omen boons buff one class and debuff another. Context clues would point to necromancer.
I agree with you about what else can summon, however with Dungeons, other classes can summon as well. It is however most logical that it's necromancers since if no summoning boons are picked up, the debuff wouldn't take effect. Though, that could be a plus for us.
Further more to add, Sky does bring a valuable point to the table. A teased unit. Perhaps what Necromancers do but maybe not as strong for their units summoned. However, maybe there's something else they bring to the table? More buffs/heals?
Overall, using the term Warlock if when Necromancer is the specific target is kind of weird unless it's like I suggested, the Necromancer's previous name. Perhaps this is a buff from a previous dungeon from way back when and it's being reused but the term Warlock was overlooked and wasn't fixed to Necromancer.
Oh yeah I agree. I originally thought it was a typo and thought they meant warbeast since they could summon skeletons in previous dungeons. But there are several necromancer boons in this dungeon refering to summoning speed and whatnot
Mages also can summon stuff which is where my mind went too.
It has always been Necromancer since release. Still possible it was an internal playtest name, I suppose.
The big issue that causes me to hesitate from just accepting it is Necromancer:
All of the other Omen boons name two units that are the same rarity.
If Warlock=Necromancer, then this is the only Omen that breaks the same rarity buff/doom pattern, and also the only Omen that mentions a legendary unit.
From a game design perspective, I question why this does not Doom maybe Shinobi?
I know this post is old, but it's finally come full circle. Welcoming the Warlock unit!
I still think it should have been dooming another rare unit 🤷♂️
