I noted this message from @proud canyon that the subsequent dungeons starts on August 8.

#raiders-chat message

The offseason window between this past dungeons (D22) and this upcoming dungeons (D23) has been a span of roughly two weeks. In the past, we usually had maybe 1 to 1.5 months, or even alternating events, for dungeons. I think lessening the time between a dungeons offseason is a mistake and I urge the team to reconsider this moving forward.

I think dungeons is a very thrilling game mode, don't get me wrong. I'd also like to take the time to congratulate someone of the captains who made leaderboards who don't always make it in - people like lont123 (who I raided that night), or MYKLMantis, kingjerry_4ever, or Rafipi. We also had bakodemeester who made leaderboards on his first dungeons as a captain, as a long-time viewer. I think these are great things that we can celebrate as a community, without disrespect to our perrenial contenders.

But while I think it has been an integral part of Stream Raiders, Dungeons comes at a cost, particularly for a captain, as it is very stressful to run. Any of those miracle runs, those who make it past 65, that make it to the leaderboards, is something like a 7-10 hour stream. When an event is bimonthly, then sure, doing a couple of those in a two week period, then having lots of time to either enjoy other game modes, take it easy. I think having dungeons more frequently and doing these intense streams more has the risk of causing burnout. I know a lot of captains stopped trying.

It also takes away from Clash. I get that it is a small team, and that Clash isn't in the greatest state. There are still double win/double loss battles, and the scaling effectively prohibits larger captains from participating. But when Dungeons and Clash happen, many captains who otherwise play Clash play Dungeons. This past weekend's Clash event had parts of the event where there was not a single Clash match going on. In comparison, when Dungeons did not happen, this past 24 hour event on Thursday or Friday consistently had matches and at some points, we had over 10 captains do Clash.

This totally killed clash. The last 2 events, there was only 1 match, and if we were lucky, 2 matches going on, a few times during each clash event period.

All this on top of the Beastlands campaign, which was was already so unusual with how it was run.

Thank you for the feedback. We understand the concerns. We're still experimenting with the event schedule, so we might change this in the future. But at least the next Dungeons events won't be moved.
