#How is this new Captain Spell supposed to operate?

Did a few tests of the new Aegis spell, and it left me with questions. It's not giving me any area of effect information, but causing my entire screen to be tinted blue while dropping; and no matter where I place it, all allies on the entire map are held in place for the duration.

If this is the intended effect, I don't like it. The spell description doesn't read that way, IMO. Also, the icons on affected units cover a bit too much. I can't always tell which units are engaging the enemy and which are just sitting there waiting their turn to die.

For the record, this happened in Duels and Campaign...

I've been having some good luck with hidden maps campaign as the army doesn't split nor walk into a trap. Haven't done dungeons yet to comment.

I also found the 120 range very unusual too.

Thank you for the feedback!

Aegis is working as intended, but we can clarify the text and change the way the area is displayed. Aegis affects all units, so it tints all the map.

We can also take a look at the icons if this becomes a big issue.

Alright, so it's working as designed - got it. Thank you for that info, and acknowledging further feedback. 👍

It would have made much more sense, to me, to have designed it to affect ONLY those units inside a normalized area of effect, so that it could be used to replicate the original Tank Soul (when desired)...a larger version, so to speak. As-is, I don't find it as useful. I want my army to be versatile and do more than have a group sit-in...unless the situation calls for it. No other spell affects this wide of an area, why should this one?

I'm disappointed.
