#For future events, could we not have so many "Place X Units" quests?

So just as reference when the ~10-11AM PST timeframe kicked in, I started the day with:

  • Place 6 Warriors
  • Place 6 Archers (event-related Daily Quest)
  • Place 10 rogues (Daily Quest)

Having a couple I think is okay, but if I was playing for a stricter captain who doesn't go as laissez-faire in their captain placements, it becomes difficult to get 22 unique placements done in a timely manner (28 when factoring in a place 4 barbarians and place 4 berserkers quest in the Tidal Trial). Moreso that (opinion-wise) rogues do not fare well in a lot of the levels on this event, so I have to pray that a captain can forgive me for just dumping a unit like that in there.

Like, acknowleding that I'm in a place of privilege because I do have multiples of many of these units, but if I was new and maybe only had one of each, having to do 28 placements that aggressively is very painful.

I prefer placement quests over any kill x quests.

I have had similar thoughts about this concerning new players as well. I am RnR100Green% in agreeance with Zam Zam in that I prefer placement quests over kill quests, but some of the steps in the questline could pretty difficult for newer players that probably haven't unlocked some of these units yet and are missing out on some of the rewards because of the a.) number of placements for that same unit and b.) the amount of time given to complete them.

One thing I would like to suggest is that, instead of having it expire allow the quest to be available until the end of the event. Once the questline is completed, have the next one load in when it is time for the new quest line to reset and load in. And maybe have the message state "Next Quest in x time" so we know that there is another quest available once the current one is completed or just have it automatically load in like it does when we have another quest available for that questline.

I have been enjoying the questlines quite a bit, so I don't want to give the impression that I have a problem with them. But I see @versed spear's point. Just thinking about our new players and trying to find a way to keep things balanced, I know is tough.

Lol. There's my two cents. BethLaugh
