i still wont be able to get to level 30 to get the skins and I am pretty sure that you have said that you would make the skins available in the shop for the captains that cannot obtain level 30 in the dungeons. But i have not seen them able to be purchased with any currency. Am i missing something? Or am i just continuing to be ignored?

thank you, sorry to make it sound that way but it is frustrating to host battles for people and then miss out on something that I am playing for myself.

We're not ignoring you. In Dungeons 16 we added the skin to the store for a week after the event was finished, so if a Captain didn't reach level 30, they still could get the skin for some keys. We didn't announce it for this Dungeons 17, we we are planning on doing the same.

#

We still feel level 20 would be way to easy. We're thinking we might add a badge at level 20, but we haven't been able to work on that yet

I'm sorry. That's not what I meant. We added a special skin as a reward for "beating" the Dungeons event (you can't beat Dungeons, but we wanted to give players a milestone that feels as a big achievement). And we're for the most part confident that getting to floor 30 should not be an easy task, but should also be doable. Data from previous Dungeons showed us that was a good place to place it. Of course, for some Captains is too early in their run, and for some is too late. We will never ever be able to satisfy everyone and we will keep looking at data and taking everyone's feedback into consideration in order to make the game as fun as possible for the Captains and players that enjoy this game mode. We may lower the required floors in the future, the same way we might place the rewards higher if we feel it's easy to get.

But the whole idea behind Dungeons is to actually make the game harder. More challenging. So in this cases we lean more towards the hard difficulty than the easy one.

I'm sorry you are not having fun because of this, but I assure you we do read everyone's feedback and have constant internal discussions about the game with the other Devs. Sadly, there's a lot to be done and we want to make everyone happy. Wich is impossible. But, if more people starts complaining about this specific issue, we will for sure adjust the difficulty so more people can get the achievements. This system is still kinda new and so far we haven't received much feedback besides of what we can extrapolate from game data.

I hope this helps change your mind about our intentions. But I also understand you might not be satisfied with this answer. You're welcome to reach out to me here or by dm if there's something else you want to discuss or more feedback you want to provide us.

Something I'd like to address about this, briefly, is that the Patch Notes announcement on this was either wrong or part of what was meant to happen didn't.

The Patch Notes for Dungeons 16 said "After Dungeons 16 ends, that skin will be available for everyone to purchase.".
But in practice what happened was "After Dungeons 16 ends, Captains will be able to purchase that skin for a few days.".

I assumed I'd be able to get the skin both captain side and viewer side after Dungeons 16 ended.
I like to do a lot of stuff at once, rather than going in and out the store to do single things. ||(So get to 2k event currency, get to 5k keys, wait til end of event to claim battle pass rewards, etc. and then do everything at once.)||
So yea, I focused on joining Dungeons runs while they were available.

I understand there was a timer, but those get updated all the time. On mobile the Dungeons 16 Halloween chests timer also counted down til the day Dungeons 16 ended, but they were still available after it ended too. Timers being inaccurate or getting changed is all too common.

Either way, that's how I ended up not getting the Epic Headless Jerry Necromancer viewer-side.

It'd flow quite nicely, even ..

Level 30: bronze badge
Level 40: silver badge
Level 50: gold badge
Level 60: emerald badge```

To address the increasing difficulty of Dungeons, maybe add some high reward that people can actually get something out of beside the badges.
Give more of a reason to push further for both viewers and captains compared to badges that still do nothing currently.

#

An example could be, once per Dungeons event:

Level 20: 200 keys + skin
Level 30: 300 keys + bronze badge
Level 40: 400 keys + silver badge
Level 50: 500 keys + gold badge
Level 60: 600 keys + emerald badge
Level 70: 700 keys
Level 80: 800 keys
Level 90: 900 keys
Etc.```
#

With an once-per-event restriction and how few captains even get to level 40+, it wouldn't be "broken" but bring rewards a bit up to speed with the state of the mode.

  • it'd help casual captains and viewers mostly who might only be doing a single 4-6 hour run/stream of the mode per Dungeons event, remembering a single 30-level run equals at most 264 keys currently - not much for that intense effort. Would be good to entice more people into at least doing a single run and get a lot out of it.
  • it'd not change much for the grinders of the mode, just add a bit of satisfaction maybe, especially as the Hell Mode levels still only giving 10 keys per full loyalty battle feels very underwhelming. Again, badges don't do anything currently and have been a back-burner future feature for 4 years now.

I think small streamers feedback often gets overshadowed by the data of larger streamers. L30 is too high and badges alone aren't an incentive.
