Can we please Get the same mechanic in Dungeons as we have in PVP/Clash/Duel where you CANNOT place on a do not place marker and it prevents you placing the wrong unit aswell. All too often in the past dungeons and this has been NO exception dungeons get scaled way too heavily as a result of this and it has been an ongoing issue for a long time! its annoying Captains and Placers.
Surely this mechanic wont be hard to implement as it is already in the game in the PVP Modes. i have seen increasingly less and less captains in dungeons as a result of these players.
#Dungeon Runs being Greifed by Rogue placers

i know we have the ban feature, but by the time you get to ban them the scaling damage is already done
I'm assuming you already using room codes?
yes even with codes on its happening
and banning offenders it still happens, which is why this is needed as there is NO other way to stop it
Title misleading, rogues are good units
That's unfortunate... but can't stop people from grabbing code from stream and running out 🙄
which is why i and ( i know a lot of other caps feel the same way) feel the implimentation of of the mechanism which is in pvp preventing people placing on "do not place markers" or the wrong unit is needed
I definitely understand the issue
but on the flip side, some captains use do not place markers for specific epics or whatnot
imo banning is the only real solution for people that don't want / can't follow the markers
problem with that is by the time you know who a griefing/Rogue player is its already too late and the damage is done. Which is why a preventative measure like they have in PvP is needed.
They have it in PvP because of exactly this issue. people placing whatever they want to place scaling and filling the battles. same thing is happening to dungeons. and by the time we can ban them as they have to place a unit first the damage is done
We actually considered this. We decided to wait until we had some data about the DNP markers. I think those worked well in Versus, so maybe we can try to import them in an upcoming Dungeons (I don't think we'll be able to try them Dungeons 16 though).
yes i genuinely think this will make dungeons a better place especially for captains who suffer people who place like that
Another solution could be that banning a player could remove all of their placed units.
That would work but not sure how they would work that in, where as the DNP markers are already in the game,
that is a good suggestion though
throughout the entirety please.
if people can place on DNP its not a Do not place zone at all imo T_T
not a clue @latent kiln for kicks of ruining others days? maybe they are just simple bullies? or just dont want others succeeding? i know @proper swallow had some theories
I know for sure I get placers deliberately trying to ruin my runs to the point I stopped playing dungeons as much. Then as soon as I did my saved dungeon run I get someone dropping an epic orc slayer on my do not place markers (level 1).... then in the very next level I get someone dropping an epic balloon buster..... Bye bye scaling.
Luckily we were able to get things back on track with the sensible players... Even one account that placed rogue was called MantisFU... Felt very on the nose for the situation.. however that was a 1 off and they placed well for the rest of the run.
Some people just like to watch the world burn.
make dungeon rule where you cant place legendaryes unless they placed markers for that
If this happens I will quit playing SR for sure. A better idea is to make it optional for each captain with an in game button.
yeah\
off topic but there's at least 2 mantises in my garden
That still wont stop people Deliberately Ruining Dungoen runs though.... placing units on DNP Markers to Grief Captains. Plus the issue isnt just legendaries, epics on lvl 1-6, busters, high scaling units at low levels aswell
Why would this make you leave? this would be safer for everyone.... as then people couldnt just place what they want where they want. they would have to follow captains plans, which is the whole idea of the Markers...To be followed
