This might be related to the bug I was having where the units aren't actually there. I first noticed it when I saw a unit outside of the placement area

Just had this as well, shows an epic artillery outside the placement area. Was not visible on the streamer captain's end. Leaving and rejoining the battle showed it still there, but when I refreshed the webpage and went back in it was no longer there, so it may be a holdover from a previous battle. Images show before and after browser page refresh (all the skins hadn't loaded in, that's why it looks like some different units, but it's from the same battle).
