It depends on your goal for backup up, do you want a complete system image backup to be able to restore right back to where you were or do you just want the data saved so in the event of your hard drive crashing you don't lose all of your personal data?

I finally won. Got Windows 10 to run without glitching on a 2017 Macbook Pro. And the copy of Windows is activated. It will automatically boot to Windows unless I choose to have it boot into MacOS

if you make a hdd bootable, and then extract a windows install ISO to it. then it will function just like a usb stick that has been made with MCT

I’m currently starting the change from windows to ubuntu, and to get my files, I’m going to dual boot just in case I need windows and can’t use a vm. It’s not giving me the option to dualboot, only deleting the entire hard drive

I advise making a full disk copy to an external drive, and booting the windows off the external drive as desired.
Alternatively, you can try to shrink the C (Windows) partition and create a new partition in the empty space, but that's more difficult and risky

I ve built a pc for an elderly lady to for her work and for some time now, when you open a new application or in chrome or in adobe reader it scolls down all the way. I have done a reset for the pc deleting all personal data and resetting the settings and it still does it

in other news ive got lots of work done in terms of getting arch close to fully ready for use

got my screen refresh rates fixed, hid polybar when applications are fullscreen, set my primary monitor

fixed my sxhkd hotkeys (i have since switched F3 to XF86AudioRaiseVolume because before i couldn't use the F3 key)

so now i have to press fn + f3 to raise volume

the r710 is okey, for "sshing" between machines, but i'd recommend the HP dl120 g7, the dl385g6 is not good, their operton family is laggy when installing "cpu" needed softwares. i recommend you to look for r420's, they are cheap, yet double cpus and ddr3 ecc is cheap to get hands on from ebay, i run 2 servers one r420 & 1 hp dl380g8 the r420 specs is 2xe5-2420, 36gb ram & hp is running e5-2650, 80gb ram.
