not if it is setup properly, you can either dual boot or you can install a vm within windows with linux distro on it. either you want is fine, linux is nice for its customization but takes time to learn. as for general cs most courses start off with java, you can ofc choose any language you want if one may work better for your projects and such

so this issue was fixed. but it seemed really weird when it happened. a friend of mine had tried to make a backup of his windows on an external hard drive with the windows backup tool

#

whatever it is i havent looked into it

#

the backup process finished in a flash. pressumably failed because the backup that appeared on the drive was 0kb

#

then on his main drive a banch of "found" files appeared

#

the only thing that buged out besides making his hard drive scream from time to time was the xbox game bar

#

we were trying to find a solution because we didnt know those files affected it. after he deleted all the files he could besides those used by the system it got fixed

#

and his disk didnt scream either

#
