Because I don’t have insta and that stuff
I already have a monitor so $600 more to go

AOC C32G2 32" Curved Frameless Gaming Monitor FHD, 1500R Curved VA, 1ms, 165Hz, FreeSync, Height adjustable, 3-Year Zero Dead Pixel Policy, Black
@harsh portal wat
Oh wait
im getting the AOC
24
Yea aoc c24g2 is good
Mr1111 is the arctic freezer ii 280 better than nh-d15?
pretty sure u can tilt and elevate the AOC
yea I heard good things about the aoc
@stoic island
ok fanks
Is it VA
144hz you should go with
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qMyqqs/aoc-cq27g2ubk-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-cq27g2ubk <<<< best budget 1440p monitor
I’m a noob ppl told me to get it 😔
on a 165hz monitor
@glass depot the AOC CQ27G2 is a good option too btw..144hz at 1440p but its VA so kinda sucks but its fine
Ips is better
I’m so picky I’ll probably end up buying an expensive one
My specs rn
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
20 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
500gb SATA disk
you said this
Mr1111 so should i get the arctic freezer over nh-d15
what is your budget
what is your use
do you want water in your case
@small osprey also, nh-u12a >:P
Budget ~100
Gaming, streaming, video editing
Cpu is 5600x
Idc about water as long as it has warranty
better hope all your parts have waranty
No chromax.black
breh
Lmao i want it to look decent
aio warranties usually only cover the aio itself and not everything
...
bai
u12a is life
guys is Corsair Hydro Series, H100i RGB Platinum SE better than NZXT Kraken X63 ?
@woven pumice neither, get an Arctic freezer ii
@weak field i saw you were talking about some lower latency ram, sorry im late
any good 32 stick ones?
usd right?
em i meant 32gb sticks, but yeah on usd would be fine
alright
@woven pumice neither, get an Arctic freezer ii
@stoic island wait so the arctic freezer is half the price here, is it really better?
2 32gb sticks right?
ye
It's much better
Reason: Bad word usage
@stoic island Arctic freezer ii 240 or 280? does it make a difference
Whatever fits
240mm looks weird when it fits 280mm
Performance wise should be similar
240mm was in stock on Amazon for 100$
280mm should be ~110$ somewhere
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory/#X=0,28233&U=4&S=3200,5100&Z=65536002&L=30,160
@weak field hm so these have lower latency but lower speed as well right?
the ones i had were 3600
thank you! its definitely better
yeah
youd have to ask what the pros and cons of lower latency and lower speeds
@stoic island could you explain that
im not the best with memory
Tbh I don't even know now
The previous thought was higher freq mattered more with Ryzen
And then GN testing happened
dont you need something to connect to the internet from a new build?
@arctic jungle im curious: could you elaborate on this?
so wifi need to be built in the motherboard if not using the ethernet cable?
i half expect it to be semi-taken out of context, hence why i am asking you @arctic jungle
so wifi need to be built in the motherboard if not using the ethernet cable?
@ebon matrix you can always use a usb wifi adaptor
I mean i kinda understand that mentality, a lot of people dont upgrade frequently, and if saving more money now, means more moeny later, i can totally see why someone would scrap upgradability for savings (but at that point i would go refurbishing an old office pc route, but i guess that does take a bit more time than just getting cheap new stuff that works with limited upgradability)
Idk if that what they were saying tho
@arctic jungle im curious: could you elaborate on this?
@foggy hazel yea why would you get b550 and a 3rd gen ryzen cpu if you plan on upgrading soon? 1, since AMD is probably not gonna use AM4 for their next cpu, 500 series chipsets don't make sense if you wanna upgrade it... for the psu I was saying there's no way that ur going to need a 1000 watt power supply- my whole advice was waiting a year or 2 for amd to pick their next socket, because they alr had a working PC, and make a bigger budget then
if u alr have a decent enough PC, no point upgrading just before they drop the next chipset
IF you want any of the zen3 cpus this year. With official support. You need to buy a b550/x570 board
not zen 3, zen 2
@icy lichen not universal support
can't say "you can use b450" when not all of them will be getting the update.
@arctic jungle not countering. Putting forth a reason for "why get a b550/x570 board"
tru
Yeah ofcourse but eventually, and at least i dont plan to move to zen 3 soon
Oh ill have to check the b450 list
there is no list
@arctic jungle and keep in mind, am5 wont be here for a good while yet
yea, but my advice was- if you already have a working PC that semi satisfies you, do you really need to upgrade right now?
they didn't
so I just advised to wait
aye aye. hence why i asked you. Because of the lack of context @arctic jungle
(more uncertainty on B450 getting that optional bios)
thank you for the clarification
ofc
fair tho
Oh what are ur thoughts on thermoelectric cooling
some people are the 1 upgrade a year train, some the 1 upgrade per 5 years.
when you use a wifi adapter u cant take it out?
wdym can't take it out
its a solution that imo is not very relevant for the regular consumer
generally: if you need a TEC, you will know it.
if you look at the coolermaster page for their tec 360 cooler linus used for heavy workloads its not much better than a normal 360 aio
its also in the small range of TEC
ya
changed over to the arctic
should be good to go
might get everything but the cpu tonight

case i really like actually, ssd I could change if there's something with a better value
MP34 maybe
like it's in my budget, so the more performance i can get the better
is the mp34 comparable in speed?
is a 240mm radiator sufficient for the 5900x?
@fading kiln you will not see the difference unless you are copying files everyday
I mean, here's temps on the 280mm version on a OCed 3950x
@elfin jackal i made you a list ystrdy
@arctic jungle ik, but the mobo don't have wireless WiFi networks, so I changed it back to MAG x570 tomahawk WiFi. It's only 10 USD different compared to msrp in Canada
Ok
yeah but tech deals said in his videos that for high end cpu like the 5900x you need min a 280mm radiator @stoic island
@fading kiln you will not see the difference unless you are copying files everyday
@little osprey hm im doing a lot of coding / video editing so i'm guessing it will be noticeable
not much of course
@little osprey ah okay
i wouldnt be able to fit a 280 rad in that case :/
240mm has 37% less cooling area than 280mm

@little osprey perhaps techdeals should go back to his benchmark numbers then.
aight so im set with my stuff, anything else I should buy with the parts? like cpu paste, tools?
also will i have to get some cables for the modular psu or do they come with the case/mb
the psu comes with cables
okok thanks
dont really need cpu paste unless the kind u want isnt rated for the amount of ocing you want to do , its pretty decent. the stock paste that id
is
in theory, the only things you need are a screwdriver and a dishtowel/paper towels
but i doubt i'll do anything too aggressive
in theory, the only things you need are a screwdriver and a dishtowel/paper towels
@foggy hazel which i got then
dont you need snippers and stuff
also got zipties for any cable management
you dont "need" those @weak field :)
even tho the case has a huge second compartment so i'll probably just forget to manage the cables
so just a screwdriver and paper towels
aye
awesome
post a picture of it in a couple weeks when you build it
yeah.
dont know what vidoes/articles you have read/watched: but do yourself the favour and boot it once outside of the case
great reminder actually
it will make your life SO much simpler
i ll make sure to read the manuals too
I'll gift my current build to my sis who is picking up video editing, so we might build it together at xmass
what do you do after you build your pc?
do you have your lan drivers on a usb stick?
what do you think of this build? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/gbKmrr
NO
@weak field hey, you have access to internet, so all you need to worry about is internet access for the hardware
@weak field hey, you have access to internet, so all you need to worry about is internet access for the hardware
@foggy hazel hm yeah
what do you think of this build? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/gbKmrr
@woven pumice im not an expert but if i had something to say it would be that the mobo is over the top?
@fading kiln when you make the usb stick for windows
didnt jaystwocentz make a video about what to do
I'm trying to upgrade my pc's ram and want to make sure i get something compatible with my PC I got from newegg a year or so back.
My PC:
ABS Mage M - Ryzen 7 3700X - GeForce RTX 2060 Super - 16GB DDR4 3000MHz - 1TB SSD - Gaming Desktop PC
looking to increase to a minimum of 32Gb RAM
thanks!
whats the mobo
@woven pumice If youre spending that kind of cash I would seriously consider AMD over intel
Also 80 pounds for a wifi card seems a bit much imo
could prolly check theire website for compatibility of the speeds
@woven pumice all those parts are being bought new?
@woven pumice and the memory is very slow
the ram paired with the gpu
@solar sigil i already bought the wifi but didnt buy the gbu yet, i'll check out AMD
@foggy hazel yes
@fading kiln i know :( i bought it a while back
@woven pumice could you please mark the parts you have purchased, as purchased (its the gear icon on each item)
you are welcome, that makes the conversation a bit easier to have :)
@woven pumice https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/vXfBj2 substitute the case for whatever you want that wont choke the airflow and this would be my recommendations
why an 8700k?
if you haven't bought the processor yet switch it out with a 10600k
@solar sigil if you wait until we know what they have actually purchased, then everything is just a bit more practical :)
this is true
also, less confusing for them :)
@weak field probably easier to find than 3000 series atm
💸
thank you @woven pumice
i thought i7 is better than i5
thanks for the update Melly!
you're right
@green kestrel chipset support
how expensive are 9900ks these days
@woven pumice unless you have a very very special scenario in mind, the 3090 is a waste
yeah
i just need it for gaming really
@solar sigil Micro center
3080 at the max then @woven pumice
unless you need the 600fps on ultra
lol
Reason: Bad word usage
oops
none needs a 3090 for gaming
@weak field wrong.
yes. you are objectively wrong in that statement
how
a 9900k would be loads better than the 8700k right?
the 9900k would be an upgrade yes
yea
@woven pumice ^^^
if you are going to get the 9900k buy it from microcenter if you have one near you
@weak field a user could be doing something on the side that requires the grunt that the 3090 has. So please dont make sweeping statements like that
9900k is not compatible with the build
for gaming?
So back to why someone would need a 3090... unless youre running flight sim what is the benefit to justify the cost
when i added the i9
what do the details say below @woven pumice
yes, bios support
you need to update the bios.
eah
i dont know what that means
i know they did for b450
@solar sigil old board. unlikely
rip
and yes, anything that ships out of the factory runs on the newest bios <- that is the general rule @solar sigil
but, shipping out of factory is not the same as arriving at customers
henh?
think about it :)
it goes in a warehouse
yep yepp
then the vendors get it
do i update it by myself?
for storing in THEIR warehouse etc etc etc
they have already bought
Reason: Bad word usage
hence the second list :)
would they have a sticker on the box like they did with AMD?
@woven pumice do you have a local it shop near you?
yeah
they should be able to pop in a compatible cpu and update the bios for you
I wouldnt brick a system to try it yourself first right? it just wont post until the update?
and yes, that CPU is close enough (difference is lack of integrated graphics)
i was talking about the bios update process in a vacuum @solar sigil :)
yes, the process would be:
Try and build the machine, see if it works. (the 9th gen cpu that is)
If not, go to local store
Ok yeah thats what I was thinking
never had to do an update myself
so just making sure
:)
depending on the board, you can do it without the cpu etc etc etc
i'll take it to a local store
it should be very very cheap for them to update the bios for you @woven pumice
Having someone physically look at it is always better than us speculating 🙂
Hello 🙂
hello
o/
i should tell them to upgrade the bios there right? after i complete my build
so if they start talking bs. please go somewhere else
I would ask them if its necessary first @woven pumice dont have them do something that doesnt need to be done
@solar sigil you are misunderstanding what i said earlier then
oof sorry what did i miss
@woven pumice the simplest for you would be doing a test boot of your mainboard+cpu+cooler+ram+gpu OUTSIDE of the case
i know
so gonna need an 8th gen if it doesn't work immediately
do they already have the board?
yep
@earnest olive read back please.
fair enough i just woke up
@woven pumice because that means IF everything works. you can just assemble the case with everything.
However IF it does NOT work. you can take the mainboard with the cpu+ram to the local store. No need to bring the rest of the system.
does that make sense @woven pumice?
yeah it does
yeah naed's got it covered
thank you so much, you helped alot @foggy hazel
you are very welcome @woven pumice
tomorrow is giveaway of 3070 i entered ending, i hope i win
regular role pog
gg
@little osprey keep the jokes to #general-chat please
Ok
Nice almost level 13 B)
that hurt me
lol
physically
lmao
Guys whats the difference between Asus ROG and Asus TUF
ones built FOR GAMERS
I believe ROG is a bit more if ya know what I mean
one is spelt ROG the other TUF <- that is all @raw mist
lmao
lmao
heh
sounds about right tbh
it all comes back to the specific models in each line
as always model over brand/line
yeah i think TUF is more oriented to budget whereas ROG is more high end
nah
No Tuf is tough
its just marketing bs
lmao
1 vote and 5 comments so far on Reddit
Effectively it's all fancy branding that matters little. Instead look at what specific features each board offers and decide based on which satisfies your needs the best.
The biggest difference in tuf vs rog is power delivery and pci-e lanes. tuf is going to be your best bang for your dollar
except pci-e lanes is decided by the chipset, not the marketing
yes and no. Pci-e lanes are decided how many there are based on chipset. how and where they are used is the biggest difference on the rog vs tuf boards beyond powerdelivery. but i suppose you are right, as all board/versions have pci-e lanes used in different ways and areas
Need a pc build with 1k budget
@jaunty elk its a splitting of hairs
right
Details: 1k budget, Black build (RGB isn't important), Wifi
Want AMD and m.2 WD 1TB only for storage
@exotic saddle Cdn or USD?
USD
I got kinda close https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RVzcbh
could probably save some if you find a better price for the 2060 and shave a few dollars off with a less GAMER case
Any more budget freindlt GPU options?
yeah pcpartpicker didnt have many options with actual prices
IF you can find a 3070 you should be able to get one of those in a 1000$ build
SHould i get the MSI B450M BAZOOKA MAX WIFI or MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
Need this build before novemeber, don't think I can get one in time
i like the bazooka
ooops. sorry. my link bad. no price on cpu
How far do you think 240gb will get you I’ll be upgrading it in about a month after the build but

far enough to install os and mission critical programs maybe one or two games
minus COD MW
before the end of november*
Well I’ll probably just play tf2 and csgo until I get money to buy games
oopsie lol
120gb is the bar minimum
@exotic saddle thats going to be tough regardless
Any GPU that is in the 300 range?
300 for a 1070? I WISH!
how about a rx580?
i cannot sell mine for 200$ Or else I would have. lol
anyone around here (Canada) wants a 1070 for 150. and at that, its better used as a gift to a cousin. lol
@jaunty elk please no selling/offering
i think hes joking
rules etc etc
IM NOT. How was that a sell?
ok. complaining about being unable to sell something is NOT a sales pitch. is it?
We're just keeping it out :)
better safe than sorry and its a very very slippery slope
hi mr1111
u missed a 1 there
no
issa me
@exotic saddle https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7CHgbh
3600x was chosn as my pcpartpicker no longer showing 3600 non x price
you can edit price
What a chonker
like MC still has 3600 at 180$ last I checked, but PCPP doesn't show MC stuff
b550 is recommended as its last generation with this socket, we believe, therfore you could slot a 5600x in there in a year or two. and 1660ti should manage for most anything, and always room for upgrade
might want to do 1660 super
like MC still has 3600 at 180$ last I checked, but PCPP doesn't show MC stuff
that honestly pisses me off more than Id like to admit
@solar sigil take that up with Microcenter. they are the ones that have (most likely) asked to not have it listed
in that case. here you go. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rPwQ68
That pisses me off in the way that I don't live near a MC
Downgrade 5600x and you COULD upgrade video card, especially if you can get something used
dang really? I would think they would want to be listed on one of the most popular pc building tools
Easier to edit em instead of just saying stuff
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s3LTnL
there are pro/cons to being listed @solar sigil
@solar sigil most of the time they do in-store pickup and the rest of the PCPP retailers are online.
that's one thing
thats fair enough just sad they arent included cause im lazy etc etc
do the B450 pro max have wifi built in?
ok
honestly, i wouldnt build a ryzen system today with a b450 or x470. x570 or b550 or bust imo
me too
k
but B450m vdh or whatever that's at 60$ is a valid option for very very budget builds
but a520 also an option
^^
its raining hard
i love the rain
no scary rain scary
when you build a system for a blind person and without rgb or looks cuz they don't care and then realize they can't see the screen....

guys, does mini itx pc's generally have higher temperatures bc of the smaller size?
@stoic island
im not sure if you would know, but some help would be awesome
and sry for ping
Hurricane will hit Jacksonville Florida tomorrow night
I have compatability question. BIOS update might require for AMD Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 series CPU and Sabrent 2TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal SSD Maximum Performance Solid State Drive With Heatsink (SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-HTSK-2TB). Any compatabilty issues with MSI Radeon RX 580 DirectX 12 RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model CMK64GX4M2E3200C16
now in english
um
Trying to ask whether there are any compatibility issues with ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS motherboard and abrent 2TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 with heat sink using MSI Radeon RX 580 video card and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB RAM?
@plush mist well yes, you have less room for airflow and less space for coolers/fans
Are you asking if they will all fit together dimension wise?
@little osprey i'm sorry but like can you type "RX 580" instead of "RX 580 8GB ARMOR OC GRAPHICS CARD THAT DISPLAYS PICTURES TO MONITOR" i can't read your message without getting a headache
yes
for mini itx you just gotta be careful checking all your dimensions
cooler clearance, ram clearance, gpu clearance, gpu height, everything
needs more planning than a regular build
absolutely
Didn't think I was building mini itx. Thought motherboard is atv which is going into a full size case
atx
no problem
i'm kind of interested in doing a mini itx build in the future
@little osprey just to clarify you're asking about sizing compatibility too right? it sounds like youre asking about that and a BIOS version compatibility
@little osprey what's the cpu
primarily sizing compatibility but yes BIOS as well
Also, just pasting the pcpartpicker.com/list would be nice
I think everything work from electronics perspective but will I have clearance issues?
can we get a pcpartpicker link?
where would I find that or put that together?
Mhm, it checks a good amount of the physical clearances (not all) for you, and makes it easier to look at what you have
And also shows price
Ok, working on the list
we should have a command like !ppp that requests a pcpartpicker link and all that jazz
Imagine if we get a bot command that just links my saved lists >:D
Back
We gotta get one of those commands
PSU stuffz -> only one psu
Does anyone know if this is a decent fan or not?
@stoic island £23
@stoic island also do you know if the logitech g pro x headset is good for gaming he is giving me them too for money
Hey should the psu fan face up or down
@grim pagoda people in #peripherals-and-displays don't really like it as an audiophile headset, but how much?
£90
eek
Let's start with this, can this ship to you? @grim pagoda
https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-pc37x-gaming-headset
it's 90gbp, but VAT might hike the price up really high
I’ll check
@stoic island is seasonic a good brand for psus?

Ok
in what way
upgradability no
cheap, not right now
When it was 75$ for the chip, it was cheaper and therefore better for cheap builds
now it's 110$
(Not quite bad enough to blow up, but still really bad)
smh
just use 3100+b550m hdv at that point
Me?
MSI AMD cards aren't great
Who?
So if i get the 9400f
it has low upgradability
i could just sell it and build another in the future tbh
alright boys read em and weep em https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Vt6HV7
Around 1200
K
Not really an intel guy so cant comment on this one
wait @stoic island where your copy of windows! that'll puts you over budget
@ripe gulch So, why Intel, why the AIO, and what's the purpose?
lol
@solar sigil 5$ ebay windows key
madlad
they look like this
VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
:D
no need for the full 100$ to microsoft

I heard intel was good enough, AIO for saving space, and generally just for work I may need to do and gaming
lmao
Id go AMD if youre dropping 1200
@ripe gulch what specific workloads?
good question
anime binge watchibg
Tell me about it, Does it Good just to make you know, I didnt get it yet.
LUL
Ping me plz if you gonna reply for me.
Id rather not download a file
can you provide a pcpartpicker link or a newegg builder link
@agile rivet
Wats ur budget @agile rivet
Didnt know until now, My father said Max is 1k.
If I said enough to have more than two tabs of chrome open would you laugh at me @stoic island
oh thats easy
@solar sigil How I do this? I download it as PDF from New egg Pc builder.
@ripe gulch then AMD time
@agile rivet good utility : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
@agile rivet use pcpartpicker.com , they offer more products from a variety of retailers
@ripe gulch so, what do you think about this list?
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mr1111/saved/DvDv3C
More then New egg?
so you're not limited to only buying from newegg
Better deals
@agile rivet take a look at this for reference, pricing went wack so over budget, but a decent build for reference.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mr1111/saved/qn9H23
And then this is under budget still, pricing a bit wacky, but good reference.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mr1111/saved/2P8cbv
I'm not really sure, I'm relatively new to computer stuff but it looks good to me
wait
30USD more..
3070 in 1000 dollar.................................
omg
i regret my life decisions
yesterday there was one for like 195 iirc
Lmao RTX 3080 @stoic island My friend you put super Graphic cart and rest correctly dead.
Nvm
they're coming in stock if that's what you're asking about
a good few were in stock yesterday
I'm waiting for the 6800
I was gonna get a 3070 but I missed it by about 30 seconds at a memory express
then the RX 6000 benchmarks got released and I was like damn
why get a 6800 when u can spend 50$ more and get a 6800xt
6800 = 579 and 6800xt = 649
$1500 3080 + r5 5600x build $300 monitor and the rest towards peripherals
ok
200 for peripherals?
yeah, mic, headphones, keyboard, mouse, etc
if you're looking for epic setup, id leave 200-300
hm
ebic setup would be like 300$
yea
I got Arctis 5, Razer Seiren X, Razer Blackwidow TE v2 and Razer Deathadder v2
nice
do you game using geforce now or sum
nice i have a cheap reddragon mouse corsair voids and a really old razer ornada chroma

https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mice/g703-hero-wireless-gaming-mouse.910-005638.html
that
or the g502
Thank u
but thats my opinion, you do you
hello
hey
heyyo
what is
its a skam

If you're wanting wireless, check out the new Rival 3 wireless
Pretty sure SteelSeries is also making a honeycomb version of it
Seems pretty sick imo
Got this in today
I vibe with this
Im getting that for my build too
It looks hella clean
I got the pc o11 so I need more fans
..
mf120s or whatever they're called
I got 6 LL120s lmao
halo nice
mhm
LL120 hoping they’ll be discounted on Black Friday
Does anyone know if it’s possible to get just the pump of the nzxt kraken z73
It's not worth it in my opinion
Performance isn't that great for such an expensive aio
But if you got the cash then go for it ig
late lunches are weird
what is better intel or amd
AMD
The answer used to be "Depends on what you're looking for" blah blah blah
Now it's just AMD
amd if u can find it in stock
can yall give me a build with i7 9700k
yee
cool, find a cheap Z390 board in stock and just buy the bundle
also u kinda need a budget
hey my friend is trying to switch to PC, but he wants to buy a prebuilt bc he doesn't want to go through the hassle of building one himself
any good deals/ kinds of prebuilts anywhere from 800-1200 dollars
Nzxt bld
nice
i havent been this excited and anxious at the same time
@next kestrel around 1000
I just need cpu and gpu now ;p
@late ravine I would recommend looking around at some of the AMD builds that have been posted here from users like Mr1111 and the likes.
if you want to put together a pcpartlist and get some advise I think we could help a lot more then
Oh sorry i cant read, you want prebuilt
Microcenter can have some gem prebuilts if you have one nearby
It finally came!
Yup
nice
But now time to put it back in the box cause I can't use it right now
Nothing
pretty pog price/performance
Can I get a 1440p monitor for a i5-10400 // 5700 xt gaming X build?
Tf is a gaming X build?
lmao
Can I get a 1440p monitor for a i5-10400 // 5700 xt gaming X build?
@grim pagoda if you're planning to game at 1440p then sure go for it
Will Intel Core i5-10400 bottleneck AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT? Find out in our detailed analysis of Intel Core i5-10400 with AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT bottleneck based on game, quality settings, and resolutions of 4K, Ultrawide, 1440p, and 1080p showing results in terms of average fra...
cool little tool I found
@green kestrel ye I’m just worried that I am better gaming at 1080p but people say to me you can game well with i510400 and the 5700xt gaming x at 1440p so not sure
seems fine to me Novel
@floral tapir its compatible, not sure how I feel about that specific psu and that m.2
@solar sigil it says some games it bottlenecks the 5700xt by 14% is that a lot or no?
In terms of performance is that a big hit like
you sure you want a sata ssd and not an m.2
not a ton but the CPU is the bottleneck not the GPU
@solar sigil i dont know what psu i need
I think I messed up words
i just picked one that was fully modular
@floral tapir check this m.2 out https://amzn.to/2Iqs7Zm
less storage but you can easily throw in a SSD if you need more storage down the line, use the saved cash to upgrade your GPU
Finally here
If I get a 1440p monitor is there any point in getting a 144hz one as I probably won’t be able to reach that performance
Youll be able to use it later down the line if you upgrade your rig
ok but isnt it slower
Reason: Duplicated text
henh?
It looks to me like the Crucial one is faster
2x
some reason I cant copy and paste the specs cause its duplicated text
i see the spects
@boreal merlin What do you need help with?
@solar sigil i make this build https://newegg.io/64f62f4, but i dont know if its compatible
thats expensib
@boreal merlin Looks fine compatibility wise, although I might recommend looking for a different motherboard/cpu in general since as these are incredibly expensive
what u running, pp suck 2
Anyone know of a good build for warcraft? 😮
@solar sigil wich one would you recommend? i dont know to much about computers
What are you planning on using this for? gaming streaming?
@boreal merlin unless ur a million i do not suggest that
@solar sigil yes
and ye if ur going to game, stream watch a movie and play vr at the same time i dont suggest that
what makes you say that Novel?
would 8 cores be just as good for streaming and 32 gb of ram
okeey, what do you recommend me? @floral tapir
Well we dont really know what they NEED to get out of it
if u have the money go for ut
whats a good card for Rust Overwatch Csgo
$4,200 is alot for a person who says they don't know alot about computers
Quite a few of them lol Cin, whats your budget
for gpu 300-400
@raw elk im just asking, whats the correct price for eath component?
If you are putting a build together please format it in pcpartpicker as it is easier for us to pick apart
really the motherboard is more about the features you wan't
one question what do you mean by "eath component"
each?
each, sorry
again that's heavily dependent on what gpu and cpu you have
want a 3080
I am going for around $1000 for my computer https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2WWQ68. And I know I didn't bugget the best
well I am not totally sure about the 3080's needs
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gyKrDc feel free to swap out the case or GPU with a 3080 if you REALLY want it. Storage is expandable as you see fit as well @boreal merlin
and for nearly half the price of the other build!
@ebon matrix i think a 1660 super for the right price would do you fine
meh
pretty decent, see if you can find any 2060s for less than 400 im sure those are out there
anything less than 350 is priced ok
if you want to spend more that is
ehhhhhh
pretty decent, see if you can find any 2060s for less than 400 im sure those are out there
@solar sigil yeah
ehhhhhh
@simple turtle whats up?

what about it
@ebon matrix dont go 2060 lol
but money
yea
@ebon matrix What made you choose that mobo?
So I may suggest looking at b550 motherboards instead and grabbing an expansion card for wifi
its a little more expensive but it would allow you to upgrade your cpu down the line a lot easier
@little osprey budget, uses?
@little osprey theres a b550m ds3h version thats b550 and 10$ more
yes a b550 version thats b550

what about a wifi adapter @solar sigil
rip pokecord discord server
is their anywhere i can improve it
ok
