it might not have worked for the other person because if you don't have the USB formatted and plugged in when you launch boot camp assistant, macos assumes you're trying to boot camp on that machine, so it defaults into 'partition space on this machine for windows' mode
it also might depend on which version of macos you're on
i've had success lately in catalina myself, but haven't done it on high sierra or prior in quite a while

So can I get some insight on power needed for a build? I have a gen 9 i5 and 970 with a 600W PSU. My friend is offering me a deal on a 2070S that has the EVGA step up registered to it. Will I need a better PSU to run the 2070S while I wait for 3080 restock?
