nope
that one u linked me cost more lol
It's 1359, yours was 1463
u using US dollar?
or r we not seeing the same thing
Base Total: $1279.41
Shipping: $8.99
Total: $1288.40
1st one
Base Total: $1290.81
Shipping: $8.99
Total: $1299.80
2nd one
The price for the PSU and GPU are off
bb
They're out of stock at the place pcpp is pulling the price from
Downside is you get a 2080 super instead of a 2070 super
bottleneck?
No
cheap mobo is fine ?
bottleneck has nothing to do with brand lmao
The frame difference is when the GPU is the same
In this case, the intel system has a 2070 super and the amd system has a 2080 super, so amd will slaughter intel
so where do i get psu from
The mobo should be fine. You can get a better one if you want, but the 3600 doesn't need it
sense u said the price was wrong
Right now the cheapest price for it is from amazon
I'll look if there's a similar PSU for cheaper
Will you be overclocking the GPU?
that one cost more then the last one
No clue
It just came back in stock about a week or so ago, and it's gone again
Not the best PSU, but it's cheap
whats up with the bios warning
Not an issue
When ryzen 3000 first came out, not all motherboards supported it out of the box. They've almost all added support now though
With the usual caveats, yes
Basically that you build it right and don't mess it up
If you can plug things together, the system will work
yoo
Usual caveats being like : If you don't plug in the CPU 8 pin, it ain't booting
could someone help me out w a pc upgrade
yoo stinky
yoo stinky
Sorry, couldn't resist 🙂
haha, stinky
Anyway, watcha got?
one stinky boi
heard someone say something about updating ryzen drivers
That would be the bios
I would like to upgrade from a 1080p 60hz monitor to 1440p 144hz one.
I am currently running a i5-490k CPU, GTX 970, and 16gb DDR3 RAM. I would like to upgrade to a RTX 2070 Super.
I have been researching about screen res vs cpu bottlenecking but have heard so many differences of opinion. If I get a RTX 2070 super will I be alright with either my 1080p or a 1440p monitor?
yes
Yes
wait
wait i5 490k?
4906k LOL
haswell 49xx isnt i5
cool, ok
orr
wait
49xx is devils canyon or something like that
4690k?
I heard that a higher res monitor is actually easier on the CPU
Found it
yes thats it
It can be
but 4c4t cpu
ok, thats it lol
cuz my mobo is DDR3 and im using an LGA 1550 socket
Depends on the game
Sorry lmao
Higher resolution I believe puts same load on CPU, but more load on GPU as it scales up
Some games a higher resolution will force more of a load on the GPU. It depends what the engine does
Right now, im getting pretty good frames in any game I play wiith my gtx 970
try rust
I have to keep my settings on medium tho, id like the higher res and refrtresh rate
It'll be an upgrade, just expect to upgrade the CPU soon too
yo whats wrong with the ark intel site
Yes
its not working for me
okay

i cant get to the advanced search
did i say 4960 I meant 4690k
search works
I figured
but i dont want search

i want to sort by feature
feature is pointless at intel. Just buy the cpu they say is best
nooooo
be apple
Don't bother benching either. That's misleading
And btw, the 4790 is better than the 10900 because ubm says so
lol fr?
lmaooooo
aw
Over 6 years...
hey what do you guys think about this specs list https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/fWYnDx
GPU be expensive
Yeah
yuh
2060 super should be 550 cad
There are cheaper ones
oh
Also the memory is expensive
It's 100cad for 3600cl16 kit
I edit your list now
okay i was trying to go for a white build
merci
you're welcome
whats the diffrence between a m.2 and a nvme ssd?
M.2 is the slot
NVMe is the protocol
the M.2 SSD in your list was using the slower SATA protocol
so the new one will be faster?
Yes
ahhh i see
thanks so much
i really appreciate it bro
@stoic island do you think there is a better power supply instead of the one i have? in my link
could i get a cheaper one maybe or is that one good
okay thanks man ur way more helpful then the nzxt server
but they look clean
okay nerd
okay birb
hey i found a sweet looking case that should have good air flow
COUGAR MX331 Mesh Black Elegant Mid-Tower Computer Case
or the COUGAR MX410 Black Mid-Tower Case with Dual RGB Strips
@sand falcon ikr how's your 4096 core CPU treating you
I upgraded. It just didn't have enough power
ooof
ooooooof
You need to upgrade
You know pentium is a really really bad cpu, right?
That's very slow
That's like morse code speeds
ikr
like a Pentium 2 is like 500mhz iirc
3x that
1.5ghz
barely scratches modern processors
got my i7-6700 system booted, switched to air cooling, and so far so good. during R20 runs, the hottest core only hits 68C, the coolest hits 59C. i'm excited to be close to finishing this thing
i have no comparison for scores, but their built in leaderboard has me ahead of a 6700HQ and behind a 7700K
so that sounds right lol
and idle temps are 29-30C
I found the clip, I'd post it for you, but it's somewhat questionable
You'd be banned for trolling and language
There's a pretty obvious inuendo in there
You're totally trolling
context dependent
How old are you?
he's trolling, bob
I know. I want to know how old he is
do it anyways
It's not the worst, but I was hoping to avoid it
it was there for a couple of seconds
You can't post links 🙂
no can do
I don't work in a cube
bob can u dm it to me?
Yeah. I think it's good, but it is kinda off color
I'm just curious
bob's your classic laser shark too

That's not the part I was talking about 🙂
You can't post links
Also, no spamming
lol
What do you think Mr.1111?
It's kinda on the edge for me
Hey @celest horizon, can you give us an opinion on whether a clip is okay?
what
we used to watch Hackers once or twice a year at my old job, when we would do hack weeks
also, Matt Lillard is the coolest dude, huge nerd
We might have it in our storage closet
the dude?
We have a tv in the back of our storage closet with DVDs of all the necessary classics
oh, the film
I'm not sure what all we have in there
check the closet for bodies sometime, yeah?
There's a 2 foot box full of rubber ducks
Ahahaha
rubber duck debugging
Exactly
hiddy ho
Has anyone had problems with blower style gpus more specifically the Asus turbo 2080 super ?
probably, "problems" is very unspecific
Concerned about temps
And throttling in comparison to the other versions of the card.
so you're expecting a blower 2080s not throttling?
I'm asking not expecting anything.
at least its not on carpet
yeah
and I clean it out every 3 weeks
the GPU wires are crooked bc there wasnt enough space to fit them side by side evenly
@autumn wolf
yep and thats why I got banned from the Build pics chat bc boblasershark argued with me about crooked cablecombs and the wires
hello everyone, recently i bought a laptop from newegg and it starts making weird noises since the third day i got it. Then i brought it to a repair guy and he asked me to find a new fan for it. i searched every where and couldnt find the right one. is there any experts i can discuss with here?
plz dm me
Sorry I have another question what watt for my power supply would you recommend for a Ryzen 5 3600x with a b550 motherboard and the graphic card is a RTX 2070 super
Will you be overclocking?
If anyone planning to buy a high end Turing card... Do research before buying pls :)
No mostly likely I will not
Hell even Facebook status from PC gamer and stuff like that know what's up and are like don't buy this lol
Then you should be fine with a 650W psu
450w would even be fine
Well I'd go 550 to be safer but yeah sure
If you get a really good supply and undervolt you might be fine, but no point in skimping on a PSU
Most 450w units only have 1x 6+2 pin connector, so, no. I wouldn’t get a 450w. 550-650 all the way.
Ok then I will look into a 550W or 650W thanks!!
Those are all sold out :p
@exotic bison in the pins of this channel there’s a power supply tier list. Try to shoot for tier B+ or better. Tier B minimum. Don’t get tier C or lower. :)
Awesome thanks so much!! @fast dust
Fs
When you get lots of rgb for no reason lol
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zrZ4b8 thoughts on my build? if the 3700x is a 4700x and the 2080s is a 3080
I want to try and build a high end Pc using a 2080ti and a Ryzen cpu at least, what are good parts to make this a beast of a rig? Also, i don't care for rgb so if it has rgb or not it's fine
$2500-$3000
High end Gaming and streaming
you could go intel
I'm not a big fan of intel, since I've used Ryzen for almost all my builds
its never to late ðŸ˜
I don't plan on using intel
Well you won't be getting the best gaming experience
I'm not going for 4k also
Do you want to do a custom loop?
But if you think intel is better can you send me a list with intel and a list with Ryzen
Imma probably air cool it since it's better than water cooling
I'm still lenient on the cooling so either is fine
and looks don't matter much to me, performance is what i want
I just want to know if your comfortable doing a custom loop
oh ok
you don't care about looks ok
thats a firts
first
is custom loops mean custom water cooling where you have to do it yourself
I mean why do looks matter when you want to play a game or edit or stream, when your just gonna look at the screen and not the computer
But send me a list of a build with intel and one with Ryzen and I'll check them both out
just saying having looks couldn't hurt
Yeah i know but performance come's first to me, so if it looks good yet performance is the first priority then that's fine
Sorry Have to go do something can't make the list rn
So what’s your question?
It's okay your irl life is more important
Need help cleaning your tempered glass?
yes it has a really bad stain on it @vestal cove
just contact me when you get back on @little leaf
@slow valve are you gonna be doing any workstation style stuff at all? rendering, etc? ryzen + nvidia GPU will be the best in that situation, otherwise intel is best for pure gaming FPS numbers. ryzen is still my recommendation just for price vs performance though.
He said gaming and streaming
I’m pretty sure he can fit a intel cpu in that budget
I might make videos in the future
but I'm pretty new to the world of pc building and have little idea of what the specs should be and the components
nyone know a fix for this my friend is having problems with his ram. its always saying 4gb uasble even when hes not got anything open. hes just formated recently so it cant be a virus
@chrome coyote assuming he has more than 4GB installed, and it's across multiple sticks of ram in his system, try just booting with a single stick at a time, and test each one. one might be going bad
in that case, there are settings in both the bios and windows that can end up reserving memory for hardware usage (like integrated graphics, etc), something might have gotten reset there and it's holding half his ram when it doesn't need to
whats the settings called
if you go into the boot options within windows (click start, type in 'msconfig' hit enter and click the "Boot" tab), there is an advanced options menu that contains a 'maximum memory' option. that should be unchecked. If it's checked and set to '0', that could be causing the issue
anyone got a suggestion for a motherboard to go with a 2070s and a 3700x?
he said hes alerady tried that so i dont think its windows reserve
do you know what kind of motherboard he has?
what kind of prebuilt? he can probably try and find a manual that outlines the BIOS settings, or if he's comfortable just booting into the BIOS himself, to see if there's anything that addresses memory settings
sure
https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-titan-rgb-fx-8350-4.2-ghz-asus-m5a78l-m-plus-gtx-1060-6gb-vr-pc-for-gaming.html its this but with a 1050ti and a 1tb harddrive
it says 2 dimms so i will have to check with my friend to see
he does have 2 4gb sticks
is windows seeing a full 8GB but saying only 4 is usable? or only seeing 4GB total
seing 8gb but 4gb usable
ok, so it's not a bad stick. it's definitely a system setting of some kind.
if he goes into his bios, have him go to Advanced > Chipset > and check that Primary Graphics Controller is set to GFX0 (assuming he has the GTX1060 in the listing on the website), set UMA Frame Buffer Size to something like 64MB, and Frame Buffer Location to 'Above 4G'.
that's just making sure that the system isn't trying to set aside any memory for an integrated GPU that doesn't exist
hes got a 1050ti 4gb
either way, it's a discrete GPU, not an integrated one
so you want to make sure that the system isn't holding any memory aside for something that isn't actually there
Can someone reccomend a case that includes a PSU and preferably also an aio
nzxt h1
Can you send a link
https://www.nzxt.com/products/h1-matte-white its never in stock tho
:v dunno if any have an aio+psu
usually aios arent included, psus are decently common in some brands
hes went into his bios and changed the required settings and it hasent changed
@spiral zealot
hmm. since he does have 2 sticks, i would still recommend trying to boot one stick at a time and see what happens
@rapid oak its a Cougar conquer case that i custom painted
oh nice looks great
thanks! I figured i would try
So like
-Ryzen 5 3600 (CPU)
-GTX 1660 Super (GPU) MSI
-16gb DDR4 3200mHz (RAM) Corsair
-Gigabyte X570 Gaming X (MOBO)
-650W 80+ Gold (PSU) Corsair
-NZXT H510 Elite (CASE)
Opinions and suggestions?
also h510 elite hella expensive u could get a o11 dynamic or something if u want the rgb
u pay like $70 over the h510 for a glass front panel and rgb fans
Example list built off similar parts to what you sent @uneven sparrow
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t2V3x6
his is lame mines cooler cause its $10 cheaper ez https://pcpartpicker.com/list/p9rxzN
shush
There's a reason I didn't pick cheapest option :P
i am techie you are not my list is superior
I didn't liek it
I'm legend you're not bow to me
okay the 3300x is like 250 rn
@little leaf it was built around what they sent
Au
Ah
the 3600 is the cheapest decent option
we'll reallocate budget towards GPU and such when we get responce
prob swap to b550
maybe swap to like a focus g
a320 for bonus budget points
Or b450
there were ~110$ b550 boards so I'm not too worried
ya u could slap a 5700 in there probably
Or 5700xt
depends on budget yaknow
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2Q7Yx6 i need to know what power supply and video card i should get Ive been looking at the rtx 2060 and the rx 5700, but i know i could get the 1060 or so for half the price
Unfortunalty i already have everything on that list
everything on that list
Damn
@little leaf Are you back yet?
ill look into it thank you
Ew mang you can get a ryzen 7 3800x and AC Valhalla for the price he paid for that r5 3600 almost that's gross.
What
@little leaf What does that mean?
okay
I am the all knowing...
Of price to perf
Hello im looking to build my first pc. The budget is $500 and i just need help picking parts for the build. Any help is appreciated.
@stoic island I'm relatively new to pc building and want to build a pc that has a 2080ti and hopefully a Ryzen processor. I value the performance rather than looks so looks don't matter to me, i don't care if it has RGB or not I want performance first. I plan to use it for streaming and high end gaming. What would be the best parts to make this a beast of a rig with a budget of $2300-$3000?
360mm aio rgb reccomendations?
I like the 360mm aio from ek
https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-aio-360-d-rgb
Take your first step into liquid-cooling with the new EK-AIO (All-In-One) CPU cooler. Simple to use and easy to install, the EK AIO is a plug-and-play water-cooling solution requiring no assembly or maintenance. Top of its class cooling performance accompanied by fully customi...
Modeled off if you built it today : @slow valve
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9MQz3t
went overboard bc it's 3000$
why not
Link it up

Well this is what he was looking at so lol
I mean, h150i is just as expensive
Ah there we go
Thank you for your time, it's very helpful @stoic island
Newegg was overpriced and I dont know much about corsair aio pricing so I didn't know
can't guarantee anything yet but this is an option
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1561625-REG/msi_mag_core_liquid_360r.html
say 100-150 is usual overkill price range
hey can somebody here help with something on ebay?
I think 150 is about average for a 360mm
yea
?
I mean
ive tried looking this up multiple times
And by power he means 3800XT
looks like u can only use paypal
or link paypal to cc
yeah i am buying through ebay
its happen on a lot of items for me
weird
whether i use credit or debit
doesnt seem to matter
this seems to be an issue for other people
doesnt seem to have a good fix either
its really annoying
Do you have a motherboard on the market with an ethernet plug? @stoic island
99% of motherboards have a ethernet port
it doesn't come with a cable but it has the port
Do you have any recommendations for a monitor at 1440p? @stoic island
annnd it's out of stock damn it
Yes
lemme check pricing first tho
Pixio has a nice one I think it's the px278
none of the pixio panels are in stock as far as I can see
can anybody here help me with ebay checkout problems?
ya i can wait
if youre looking to spend like 1200 or more, wait
yea look to build a high end system
yea plan to spend more than 1200
nice
🙂
make sure to come back here and ask for help putting together a component list
yea
theres like about 50-100 of us who keep up with tech news, so theres usually always someone here who can help you
thanks
sassy this is what i was thinking prior to waiting https://pcpartpicker.com/list/c46Mhg
holy hell that's a big boi
that's just overkill on everything... @drifting timber what do you do?
Finally got my new build going! Just got to get RAM and storage
oh jeez @drifting timber
what on earth are you doing with that?
you did a decent job at picking parts tho
the only obvious things that are odd is your PSU choice
1000w is seriously overkill
Cooler overkill/overpriced, Mobo overkill/overpriced, Ram overpriced/overkill/not great perf, SSD way overkill, GPU somehow underpowered considering budget, Case overkill/overpriced, PSU Overkill
only thing that makes sense is the CPU, 3950x makes sense for some people
Another way to look at each of those overkill/overpriced nods is. Quality/Expensive.
I
hell I wouldn't call that aio overkill, just overpriced
just an average 280mm aio that's somehow 170$+
He's paying for it in quality, overkill doesn't mean quality you're right but what he has there is quality for EXTRA price.
idk, 4th gen ssd speeds might be helpful, unless the goal of this pc is literally just to be overkill
i mean, its obv expensive, but it might not be overkill
Overpriced
True you don
maybe he really does need a pcie 4.0 ssd, and 64gb of ram
overkill in this case for example the mobo
don't know what they're doing with it.
i just didnt want to get into it now, because hes not buying for a couple of months @stoic island
yeah, but well point them out later
2tb gen 4 ssd as sole storage
when we figure out what hes doing with 64gb of ram lmao
the idea is to learn is it not?
also cl18
32gb sticks
that case looks like a phat o11 with fans lol
im just saying, if hes using it for work, and has money to throw away, then this is fine, so until we know use case, i guess we'll just wait for him to respond
or when he comes back in like 3 months
Even if it is for work
hey was afk
why not grab say a Arctic freezer II 360mm for cheaper
i mean, yeah, lots of money in looks
I think honestly the bottom line is if he has money to throw away, it's his money.
i like to get the best of best every 3 years
yeah, they got money
nothing wrong with that
that's my point
also true
anyway, matrix, what are you using this pc for???
But I never said anything about your choice to defend the options
Just on the part selections
ok, so 64gb of ram is fine
i got 32 right now
yeah
why 32gb per stick is my question
cl18
he might not need that kind of memory perf for vms tho
like
cl18 is fine
or maybe 3200 cl16 might be better
all oos
I mean if you're allocating ram for VMs, why not take advantage of faster ram in the VMs?
It's not like VMs put a speed limit on your ram
???
cpu perf
mr weeb if you dont like my components what would you like
i think the main issue he has is that most of these components cost alot
like, for no reason
ohh
i bought a 965 and people kept giving me crap about it but i never regretted it
Same ballpark of pricing, but 2080ti
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DKBmtp
thx
the thing is
like, if your getting a new system every 3 years, and you have money to throw at looks, then theres nothing wrong with this, its just that we all typically think more budget and price/perf wise
yea sasy thats the idea
if you're spending 3000$+ and don't have a 2080ti or equivalent in it
I'm gonna dislike it
ohh
basically
interesting
price/perf of this system is kinda bad
if you're spending top dollar for performance, might as well get the top performer you know
I kept the SSD in there because
well storage is reusable
worthy investment imo
64gb of 3600cl16 ram
360mm aio
honestly why should looks matter over performance right @stoic island
whats the purpose of these builds
Change the PSU in the first list and that one imo @white osprey
unless you need intel for smth
Performance all the way
are you literally just gaming?
p much
10600k is solid
no intel advantage at the budget tho
thx
10600kf+2070s vs 3600+2080s
the 2080s is still going to outperform the 2070s
even if it's bogged down a little by the CPU
true
does intel in general have any advantage?
but if FPS is important
like in terms of convience for any games
Better gaming perf
for more monie
like, a 240hz monitor
no
It's just better gaming performance for more expensive
that's what Intel is for
Intel isn't for the low/mid end
okay so
if your using a 240hz monitor, however, i would suggest the 10600k
10600k is a solid CPU for 1500$+ builds for sure
i mean i can run all games with this build tho right?
yeah, pretty much
none
It can do everything then
144hz? then the 3600 is the better choice
high/ultra?
yes
maybe minecraft rtx, forgot how that performed
yeah, any graphical settings for a game are gonna mostly be gpu bound, and a 2080s gives you more headroom for graphical perf
CX650w I think was in stock
imma edit list brb
so would you want to put your games on a 2TB HDD or the 1TB NVME SSD?
rust needs ssd
some game you play a lot and want short loading time, SSD it goes
so i need a 650w psu yes?
so high end games so on the SSD while the ones you play sometimes go on HDD got it
550w works
Thanks
I mean
550w no risks?
lemme check 2080s power draw brb
price difference between 550 and 650w is very minimal tho
so a solid 600w?
2080s power consumption peak is like 260w
260w peak yea
plus the 80w from the 3600
could someone link a psu then?
I mean
the mobo is temporarily oos tho
but more in stock in like a week
if your buying real soon i can change that
is the mobo i had good?
oh wait your list
thought you meant sassys
no
in that case it's could be better xD
I mean B550m ds3h is in stock
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-b550m-ds3h/p/N82E16813145210
it's just back ordered for a while
no issues
oh, crucial P2 is on sale
ya
its fine for me
ahh
ok CX is all overpriced :(
is this the best channel to ask for help?
100$ psu possible?
what's the difference between the ryzen 7 3700X and ryzen 7 3800X?
my friend is having a problem with his pc and i wonder if I could get some insight
ok
So if you plan on overclocking you want the 3800X?
if you plan on overclocking you want the 3800xt
but, thats assuming you literally only care about ocing
I don't plan on any over clocking anyway
No
then get the 3700x lmao
i was just curious
yeah, its kinda in a useless spot
like, the only reason you would pay extra for one was for ocing
but, now 3800xt
so
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah i have no plans to overclock
dunno
@gaunt remnant what desk is that?
everything?
nahh
I'm just looking for some good case fans now, what would be the best in performance and the look doesn't matter?
@stoic island
okay thanks
@stoic island do you think the pc parts list you gave me that it would have good cooling already or do i need to add some fans?
Recommendations for a 3-400$ laptop with a dedicated gpu? Used for random stuff and a bit of gaming, needs to be a laptop because I travel alot
one more 120mm fan in the back
that's all you need
@little osprey hard to find unless you plan on doing used laptop
Wouldnt mind getting a used or refurbished, I found one on newegg but it had no reviews, looked a bit good for the minor price of $321
did the case come with fans ?
yes
Saw this one but looked a bit good for the price, but its the best ive found for under 500$

Yeah true
how big it the noise of a fan at 44dB compared to 18dB?
sounds like a lot but
Nothing super serious, I have a HP 225 G6 rn thats way too slow for what I want to do, so an upgrade is in the future. Want atleast 8gb ram, ryzen 3 and a dedicated gpu
fan noise is hard to define
so it's a slight difference or a noticeable difference that's easy to ignore
high dB low pitch is a lot less annoying than low dB high pitch
what exactly are you comparing?
I'm looking at noctua fans and trying to Figuring out which to get
don't get the industrial ones
iPPC ones
those are loud server fans
the one that are like black + orange accents
Wait so get the ones that aren't IPPC or industrial
Yes
for example Nf-a12x25
those are recognized as basically the best fans you can get
a bit of a steep price
but really good fans
you said i only should need one right?
ye
thanks again
Oh, another one I saw for about 330$ was the Motile 14" w/ Ryzen 3500U, hows that for mild gaming? Saw a review by The Toasty Bros and it seemed to play CS:GO at 60fps on 1080p low settings
For very light stuff it's not bad. It's limited to single channel memory though, so you're cutting the 3500U's performance effectively in half.
Yeah I just read that lol. Most games I play are low end, like Minecraft, Terraria, and some others but im wanting to play a bit better/more games. Atm I have to run mc with optifine and everything off, just to get about a steady 20fps
But I mean, a 3500u with 1/2 the performance, 8gb ram, would be better than my e2-9000e and 4gb ram 😂
Very true, sometimes you can find the Motile machines on eBay/Reddit for even less than initial MSRP as well. Something to keep in mind if you're looking for one.
Alright, thanks! Been looking at Craigslist and ebay for custom build laptops too, a friend scored a ryzen 7, 32gb ram and a 2060 for 600$ recently
Not sure what I'm going to get yet, been looking at other laptops and making a list
This looks like a decent one maybe? Didnt see if it said it had dual channel or not https://www.newegg.com/platinum-gray-lenovo-ideapad-330s-81fb0005us-mainstream/p/N82E16834850641#
Nvm, only has single slot
ok so
ive been thinking
2080s vs 2070s seems to have a maybe 20% dif
for a 200 dollar dif
Yes
the more of your budget you can cram into the GPU the better
triple a games ultra settings 1440p
for overall performance
@little osprey the ideapad has dual channel, it just has 4GB soldered to the board and a single slot with another 4GB stick in it
so you can upgrade the single slot to 8GB and have 12GB total
if you need the 200 in the monitor
try to shave money off other stuff
if you cant
lower gpu
i mean its not like a 2070s is bad?
Ohh I see, ty lol
well
$358 doesnt sound bad, but it does sound underpriced for the specs, could it or am I just overthinking?
is there games a 2070s have hard time running?
in 1440p Yes
HEH
1080p
.......
i mean, I bought a Lenovo A485 r5 2500u, 8GB, 256GB, and I paid $450 for it, last year
already said sorry D:
so $350 isn't bad for similar stats
i was able to upgrade mine to 16GB though, so it's a little more flexible in terms of upgradability
Does anything with the ram matter when upgrading the 4gb to 8, other than maybe mhz?
well
those boards can only handle up to 2400mhz
sense ill be getting a 2070s instead
so that's all that matters
Ah alright
Yes
you need thunderbolt for that
USB-c w thunderbolt
^
or hdmi
Has an hdmi
HDMI can't run egpu because it doesn't have access to pci lanes iirc
