I am using logitech 502 HERO >> very good mouse no complains
and he pick a razer
hahah
its for when i give my grandmother my laptop
its a low end razer
fine
what about this?
you're serious about this?
That looks horrible
well you made fun of the razer
Honestly it works for your grandmother lol
Anyways Logitech g403 I think it was
That's a good cheap mouse
I haven't tried very many non-gaming mice. Only decent on I had was a Logitech Mx revolution, but I found the lowest end Corsair mouse was nicer in my books
i mean itll work, she likes wireless better, but ill take it
like i saw her buy a wired, used it for a day, the next day she bought a wireless mouse
Corsair harpoon rgb
The CORSAIR HARPOON RGB WIRELESS gaming mouse lets you choose how to play, with the ability to easily connect to your PC via hyper-fast, sub-1ms SLIPSTREAM CORSAIR WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY, Bluetooth or USB wired connection. Compatible with CORSAIR iCUE
couldnt find it in or pcpp
$40 cheaper on amazon
\
finished
ill probably wait till i order the b450 mobo as well
How's this for a 1200 budget?
And if I'm planning on upgrading my CPU, should I go with the 2600
is that x570 tomahawk on stock anywhere?
I think you should go with the b550 instead
Overpriced ram
even if you need wifi, there're cheaper and better choice
Go for 3600mhz cl16 ram at same price
Or even cheaper
Trident z neo if you need rgb
Ripjaw v for cheaper
Alright
P1 isnt great SSD, go MP34 or SN750
PSU I'll have to check but I'm not too comfortable with cv
good ssd rn is mx500 and 870 evo, comparable in price
you don't have many choices with psu rn
Yah
Mx500 is decently priced
Patriot VPN100 for nvme if Anomalous wants nvme
I honestly cannot find the mx500
ex920 no good
Bad personal experiences with friends
870 evo sata 1tb is $140 usd
NVM found it
Mp34 NVMe 1tb is 130$
Pcpp was acting wierd
So yea
870 evo Sata 6gb is $140 for 1tb with 1024 cache
Mp34 has dram, phison e12 controller, ridiculously high tbw endurance
Nothing bad about it
it isnt
Go Mp34 512gb or SN750 500gb
Alright
Mx500 SATA is decent
I'd go 512 SSD + 2tb HDD for now instead of just 1tb ssd
Pricing for the PSU looks wack from my end
that works for me
I mean I wouldnt
$70 for psu
I atmost only use 1tb
I filled my 1tb SSD so yea
youd cut almost $100 that way
What is going on with Amazon PC prices rn
Best go for b450/b550
everyones prices are infalted @keen depot
B550 really because the pre-order prices are decent
Amazon's tho is just off the charts
715 for the x570 tomohak
which is funny cause all the items im buying soon are CHEAPER on amazon
Lol
the mouse is $40 cheaper on amazon compared to newegg and bestbuy
Anyways CX 550w is in stock as an option
id go 550 or 500
CV I forgot how good it is
Yeah PCs aren't gonna be great to build rn
Bad then iirc
but at least the review sounds good
Vs was the one bad one I remember
but we never know
question
Lol
can you use other brand led strips on a nzxt hue 2 controller or nzxt smart rgb/fan hub?
up to the RGB experts
good psu for Anomalous?
Dunno
Well it should be good
But I'm drawing a blank on how much power 5700xt draws
It's prob time for me to slep
newegg says total at 420
So did a bit of searching, and found somewhere that's selling the tomahawk for 220
Fine then
And they're backlogged
im getting a 450 for $150
granted im getting it for a very specific reason, i could go cheaper
Holy crap b550 boards are out of stock quick
Buildzoids video yesterday on the b550 MSI boards still had like half of the boards in stock
Now it's all out of stock
rx5700xt?
B550s are gonna be tough to get
around 220W full load
but B450 is running out of stock at your end, isn't it
Everything slowly is
550 is going to be sold out quick for a while
So is there a difference between x570 and b550 other than no OCing?
and not for me
Pre-order while you can
not really here
Nothing afaik
my 450 is in stock with no sign of running out rn
Even overclocking, b550 boards see really good VRMs so far
ppl in my country still love intel so much...
Alright
That's about ir
well maybe some x570 cheaper than b550 will be worth it
You paid 150 for that?
x570 tuf
B450 f should be 130
not yet
I was trying to figure out what the differences where the other day, and then forgot.
X570-p usually at 150$ is goos
I swapped out the x570 for the b550 tomahak
Kk
its cheaper in total in amazon
Saved 40 bucks there
Ye lol
I have a flagship b450 board I got for like 120$
for example my mouse is $40 more on newegg, but the board is $20 less
Okay I slep now good luck
Goodnight Germany
Totally germsny
thisll be good
Comrade
Yes I know it's russia
For the RODINA
USSR to be more exact
Anyways
lol
hahaha
but i believe anomalous is set
Honestly I know nothing about PSUs, so I'll got with what you say sal
PSU tier list in pinned
-sleepy mr
mr1111 gave a tired voice of approval
welp back to pokemon i go
yep
Oh sal, one last question
ye?
Come time to upgrade, possibly to 3080 but most likely 2080S, will the PSU still hold out
Wait nvm
I was doing my math wrong
Alright
Good night for real this time
Does anyone have any good cpu cooler suggestions
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Whgs4n 850 list for my friend
Thank you my good man
2 or 3
sometimes getting like a triple pack is cheaper
Ok
size?
It is for upgrading a optiplex so maybe like 90mm
Maybe that will work but an rgb option would be nice
Oh I like that one
unfortunetly, theres not many rgb options for fans that size
you could always upgrade case...
one of the few with a price
Yes I could but I'm building a lil sleeper
ahh get a mitx case
i can look around if you want
I dont even have the optiplex just yet its coming on Friday but I'm getting a headstart on parts
ahhh ok, well if you already ordered it, no reason to get another case
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/WQbp99/inwin-case-dragonslayer man i kinda like this tower tbh, if only thay had it in mid size
Ooo thata pretty cool
Well I gotta get to sleep I got some people coming over to fix my internet in the morning
yep, gl. also, that cable management
8 fans and 2 12" gpus!?
man
man the bigger versions are OOS
actually, i cant find them AT ALL
DISCONTINUED!?
$131 w/o counting tax on ebay!?
nevermind
but, 8 fans max.....
quick question, Deepcool E-Shield or Matrexx 55 Mesh?
cases?
yes
they are both the same price, It'd be nice to have a PSU Shroud which is why the Mesh is looking good right now
just not sure which is technically "better"
considering i cant find the deepcool, id say matrexx
nvm
i had a setting on that i forgot about
id still say matrexx @mortal void
side by side comparison above
you get more hard drive slots, and a power shroud, thats all that i can see
though both are OOS
not a problem. The build I have set-up is for the Future when I actually have income to buy things
E-Shield is only available through Canada Computers whereas the Matrexx 55 is available on there as well as Amazon.ca for Me
which honestly the more parts I can get off Amazon the better
๐
and I just found out that the Matrexx 55 SSD mounting points are hidden. That and PSU Shroud just sold me for sure on the case
oh and the PCI Covers just need to be unscrewed to remove which at the budget price-point I gotta watch out for
Dope
oh one problem. No Pre-installed Rear Fan
I was either gonna get 2 or 3 Black Arctic Fans for $20-30 or 2 Be quiet! Pure Wings 2 Fans for $30
not sure if cheaper fans but 3 of them is worth it over 2 very solid fans for the same price
True
I'm tempted to go with be quiet fans
hey all what do you think of this build, still trying to decide on memory https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Mzz8BZ
what do you need gen4 or 64gb of RAM for?
Whats a good power supply for this build?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/K6kKTC
@teal tartan You'd be better off with a AMD CPU+2080Ti build, also QHD with MSAA looks the same as 4k basically. So 4k is just a waste of perf. SSD is mediocre- esp for price, so is RAM, AIO is horribly priced
I already have everything but a psu lol ordered it first then it went on backorder
Hei becuase it will last a long time
im already maxing out 32gb
with vms
and ram cache
i can easily use 64gb
So it isnt about future proofing, it's about workload. Which with VMs/RAM cache having a decent amount will help
but anyways, both RAM choices are meh
This is all of what you can get for ~3.3k
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rNTWq3
fair bit more
thanks for the link, i did however have too many bad experiences with asus in the past
Asus is meh. Crumby company with a few good products
yes meh is right
So if im overclocking my i9 what psu should i go with
Considering you have a 9900k+2080S then 550w would work. Might as well 650w for 2080Ti or x080Ti or smth
unless you XOC OC you GPU/CPU or smth
Well i keep hearing the 3080 might be announced or released this year so i figured id wait a few months before shilling out for a ti
is this worth the money https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/49--chg90-qled-gaming-monitor-lc49hg90dmnxza/
Whats a good 1-2tb ssd to get as a secondary
Man I'm tempted to just go ahead and grab that Phanteks PSU while it's in stock.
i am trying to upgrade my pc and am getting a 3600 as my cpu but the motherboard i am looking for isn't near me (Asus tuf x570 plus wifi) someone suggested that i could go for a gigabyte UD x570 is that a good motherboard or should i search for a better one?
I'm not a fan of gigabyte, at least their cheaper stuff
You could go with a b550 board, unless you need x570
Plus, I can't find anyone selling that board for anything resembling a decent price
Need help guys everything in my pc is turning on but my motherboard is showing boot device not detected or fail. So there is no post or any display on my moniter.
reallly i only like asus usually
for the first timew im using a asrock board in my buld
does anyone know how to change rgb of my amd stock cooler/msi 2080ti gaming x trio?
i can do my motherboard in bios but ive never had any type of rgb before this pc LOL
They likely have some proprietary RGB software
Is there a way to move the contents of a system drive (OS and everything) to a new/larger ssd? Without reinstalling everything that is
Oh cool! Is there a recommended software that you use?
nice nice. thanks!
@warm charm what exact model? I know Raidmax makes some okay PSUs but the have a reputation for being pretty bad
@fast dust
Raidmax 700w cobra power
no
Hello, I need helping solving an issue I am experiencing. My PC when not in use for like 15 min will restart on its own. This process will repeat non stop until I am either using the device or shut it down.
i cant breathe through glass and neither can those fans
Any help will be appreciated
Itโs all good! I donโt know why it is happening.
@warm charm baaaad choice man... Iโd get rid of that thing ASAP.
Take a look at these.
https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/is-700w-raidmax-rx-700ac-b-a-good-psu.3264804/
And this image of reviews.
Hello I'm wondering if 700W Raidmax RX-700AC-B thus is a good psu?
And if it is good is 700W enough for gtx 1060 i5 7500 and led strips. Should I go for the 600W bronze/gold one or buy this one. There was also a very cool looking one with RGB which was 535W is that enough? (so...
@mortal rampart theres mesh around the glass for air intake
@undone falcon try running Windows memory diagnostic
Okay! I will try that
@little osprey theres still glass in front of it lul the mesh will only make it harder(but not that much harder)
๐คท
it has a 4 star rating with 202 ratings
front glass panel IS also removeable for more air flow
Yeah I'd do that instead
and fans have a remote to control them too
Cause you can't beat having 6 fans for the price
Not unless the fans suck that bad which I doubt
Yeah the remote stuff to me is kinda a gimmick
"Very happy with the overall build of the case, and the fans. Super quiet and definitely a big upgrade from what I was using before.
I only have one complaint, I noticed the top has a usb-C port on it, I thought that was pretty exciting as I have type c on my phone. Turns out it's only a slot with no actual type c capabilities. A little disappointed and confused why that would even be there." worst review ive seen
and no complaints about fans yet
might return Challenger S and get this
@cursive wharf
would it be okay to use the Arctic P12 for PC Fans? They are normally supposed to be for Airflow Restrictions or used on Heatsinks/Radiators
I can get 3 of them for the same price of 2 Be quiet! Fans
And for the type c connector you need to have the plug-in that supports it on your motherboard
kinda figured
The guy who wrote that review eitherrr didn't know that or his type c connector is broken
Either way you'd be fine
yeah i kinda figured youd need a compatible mobo for it
I would've gone with something like that but I needed it to be white
i checked the compatible mobo list, and the one im planning on getting is compatible
Why is your build so expensive for that price
Why a Hybrid 5400 RPM and a THERMALTAKE SMART?!?
DONT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR POWER SUPPLY EEEEE
Ik
Fr
Lemme make you a part list rq fam
Cause frankly
For that price
I'm disgusted
:
Love him or hate him heโs kinda speaking straight facts
Thats not a great ssd and hdd for the price
also the 570 for 150 is not good either
^^^
@mortal void yeah that'd be fine. CFM is usually good enough even if just using as a standard case fan
@cursive wharf
Cool thanks
a 1650s would be a better choice
For $10 more you can get a 1650 s
^^
Freak I was beat to it
lmao
im gonna bless him with a great build
idek what the budget is but oh well <33
honest question after thinking about it for a few days: if i'm trying to build a system to flip (not selling it here), is it better to use my X58 platform or spend a couple hundred on a basic lower end ryzen setup (cpu/mobo/memory) and use the rest of the components i have to finish it out. just thinking from the standpoint of, an x58 system isn't really upgradeable for whoever buys it, but a ryzen system would be
When flipping youโre not looking for upgradability, youโre looking for pure performance and looks at a low price. You think someone buying a prebuilt would be comfortable upgrading? The reason theyโre buying prebuilt is because they donโt feel comfortable working with the components
@mortal rampart @fast dust @little leaf
i didnt buy em
why i bought was the evo and the hybrid
@fast dust good point, the X58 system can still push 1080p 60 on medium/high for most things
and the hybrid was because my hdd died, and at the time i had a $100 gift card, and i needed a new 1tb drive and didnt want another hdd
Yep. Especially a six core Xeon. Even the older i7s are crazy good for their age
yeah, and i might put a slight OC on it, just because the system I pulled most of the hardware from already had an AIO on it
@little osprey you couldโve saved money and went with the Seagate 2TB 7.2k RPM normal HDD. You might have seen better performance as hybrid drives have a strange place in Pc building
Ya
the hdd was less than 2 years old, i didnt want another hdd
also ssd is way to expensive
@little osprey
and as i said i didnt buy most of the parts
i thought you were gonna buy them*
I just need a ROG mobo
Which I already plan buying either next week or the week after
for the type c??
Getting the same brand motherboard as your router doesnโt really do anything... right?
he wants the custom QoS protocol built buy asus
oh
^^^
he has asked these same questions multiple times and gotten many answers, so just stop answering him
he has asked multiple times
what question am i asking @viral ore
so then people inspect your list, and tell you the exact same things
I just asked for an opinion on a case
Kisuke was the one who asked to see my build
either return everything, or just get the rog board, end of discuddion
So I complied
Ik, but I've been told to get better
its your choice at the end of the day
I'm not allowed to upgrade a case?
and idk why you keep sending the gc if you already have some of your stuff
if you have been told to get better, stop asking people about your current case
So can a 7 3700x and a 2070 super stream and run games decently?
yes
m.2?
ok 2.5 inch ssd
Iโm pretty sure
plug in the sata cables
Ok one second
2 cables into the SSD?
Like the end of one into the SSD and the end of another?
There should be a sata cable in the mobo box
plug it into the motherboard
The SSD has 2 spots where things can be plugged one bigger than the other
Like itโs plugged into the smaller one rn is that fine
I don't know what you mean
Yea
also you need sata power
So another cord?
yes
And that shouldโve came with the mb right
Oh ok found it
@lucid condor #links-and-selfpromotion
@lucid condor sorry actually no selling
so delete that
ok
So since my room has a carpeted floor, should I be building in a different room to avoid shocking anything?
I don't have any anti static things
just don't do the running man on the carpet before you start working on it
lmao yeah
and periodically re-ground yourself by touching some of the metal in the case or if you have a table leg or something
Basically, @keen depot, touch metal, don't do running man, and you're good
Never build with components on an anti static bag.
They allow electricity to flow along the outside (not the inside)
My Build
Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.4 GHz
16gb DDR4 Ram Corsair 3000MHZ
B450M Mobo
GCARD - 1050ti
i know my Graphics Card definatly needs to be replaced but do yall reckon i should do a full upgrade sooner or later?
later being most likely next year
as a gaming PC that is
nope ur build is solid
Yep just replace the GPU (maybe with a 1650 super or even up to a 600 XT) and you're home free
i bought it about 2 years ago almost which has just shocked me as i checked my purchase history
but yeah just my Graphics Card - i was looking at around a 1080, or a 1080ti as a basis
Might be bottlenecked by your CPU a bit if you get one of those
Gigabyte 1660 Super
5700 XT or RTX 2070 super would be the max I'd upgrade to
yeah but if i got a 1080, it would run fine and be ready for my next build? or not worth the bottleneck
I mean yeah It'd be fine
But it's not like your build is bad or anything
You could stick with it and not upgrade for quite a few years
I mean other than the 1050 TI
hmm, my message didnt send?
Was there a link in it?
nope
was there an image in it?
I feel like you can hold off until new Nvidia
i was just saying i was gonna get my life stuff out the way then look at getting a build less than a year old at the time i was gonna buy everything
Can't link until level 3
probably get it next year, so buy stuff from this year at the oldest
i run everything fine now, most my games get 60-75 frames and its smooth, but would like to make it look sexy as can be
idk if used prices will change tho. Took way too long for Pascal to drop to a "meh not that great but kinda works" price after Turing
still not as many good prices as there should be
well thanks for the advice, peace
Those anti-static things are a joke
Verge anti static wrist band?
Well, that one especially, lol. I've never used one in all my builds, and never had an issue. Whereas my pedantic brother has used one ... and fried the system.
Hello all, my I9-9900 CPU says it uses DDR4-2666. I bought DDR4-3600. Will this be ok to use?
Is 300โฌ for the Asus rog strix helios case good for a build with this caliber? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ny0l92/saved/
I would say so. I have the case and think it is best suited for custom water-cooled builds as it doesn't have a ton of airflow.
It's pricey and meant for showcase builds. If you are going with normal cooling (non water-cooled) on the GPU, don't get a vertical mount.
It's a very nicely made metal case and a total beast. Since I put a hydrox loop in it, I have had no issues with thermals, but your mileage may vary
I love mine and would get it again tho
@hasty echo what do you mean "my cpu says it uses DDR4-2666"
max speed of ram for intel cpus
so basically manufacturer lies lmao
he can just turn on xmp
Yea, I know but you'd think they wouldn't say that lol.
My Build
intel core i7 6850K
16GB ram
RTX 2060 super
2TB m.2
Are you planning on upgrading?
Or is that what you plan on building?
My next build is gonna be an rtx 3090 or titan with either a rocket lake intel chip or a ryzen 4000 chip
@cursive wharf don't make me build it like the verge
cmon, we all know Verge is the best PC builder
I need to watch that video
I feel like this doesn't need a description.
Just enjoy the show.
There
I wonder if the new titan is gonna come out around the same time as the other rtx gpu's
@sand falcon link
Is this deliberately bad?
He picked the nvme because it's easy to put in
I am so confused. Who wrote the script for this?
I'm excited for intels new stuff to come out
Which new stuff?
Yeah, they really took a hint from AMD at actually including decent integrated graphics
I mean they snatched raja koduri to do that
So uh, I just remembered to check
But since the b550 tomahawk doesnt have wifi
Connection
Should I go with the b550 F Gaming from Asus
Sure
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sn0Kru9PBOk
@keen depot
He is a dull one lol. I laughed so hard when I watched all the reactions to that
Giga...
its a wonder that it works tbh
lmao my old build with DDR3 has faster ram because dual channel
who knows a good power supply 650w bronze semi modular ? (not expensive)
within 130$
who knows a good power supply 650w bronze semi modular ? (not expensive)
@radiant oar cxm 650w
Person has a max budget of 450 for fortnite only, how does this look and he got the 580 used https://pcpartpicker.com/list/f6LPBZ
@tepid basalt it sounds great PS.. how match power consumption should be reached to make the fan spin ?
I don't think it has fan off function
I have $3500 to build a PC what do you guys recommend? I will be primarily using it for gaming, work, and also some video editing.
@thorny bough 3500 will land you nicely in the "flagship system" territory, it's mostly a question of where you want to flex most
totally random question not invloving pcs but whats a good caculator?
a scientific calculator
and just a calculator that can do like everything
is the ti-84 plus ce good lol?
That's a solid graphing calculator
the ti 30x or something like that is a good scientific, ti 84 plus ce is a nice graphing calculator, the ti nspire is another great graphing calculator although the functions are set up a bit differently than the standard ti 84 so it might take time to learn @spiral flax
ti 92 tho
Wow. Newegg doesnโt allow build links from pcpartpicker.
@thorny bough You can get pretty much the latest tech with that much saved up. i9 9900ks, RTX 2080 super, and still have 1.3k left over for system components.
You can save even more if you go with a Ryzen cpu
u have to be like level 3
to be able to send links
or u can just send the last letters of link
@dusky oak I wouldn't reccomend 9900ks with 10900k out lol
i just bought a second ssd. is there anything i have to do or can i take it straight out the box and plug it in
Nothing you need to do if it's compatible
Especially with the price of the 9900k
@spiral flax the ti84s are nice, but I like my ti89 way better
If you have the budget its a really nice . Wouldn't go back to a ti84
i plugged it in and turned it on but when i go to see my storage it doesnt look like its been assigned. i know it's compatible but am I missing something
can someone suggest a good multiple monitor setup for gaming
No reason for multi monitor for most gaming lol
Unless you're talking flight sim
Or racing
ya interested in those
Building wall mounted pc using the rtx 2070 founders edition need a lil help on how to mount
Same
HyperX Alloy FPS - Silver Speed Switches or HyperX Alloy Origin - hyperX red switches ? which one is better ?
I like cherry mx blue
is it worth the upgrade from a 1060 6gb to 1660
no
What's you guy's opinion on blackout builds ?
I personally like them as well
I used to have red fans in my case, but swapped everything out for all black
I'd love to have a basic, nearly a sleeper build with a cheap windowless can of a case
and that's not /s
I kinda miss my first FX build lol
just for the case
What case was it in?
I forgot what case it was but it was just a basic black mATX mid tower
bruh I wanna go mATX now haha
Ahaha sorry not sorry
No clue not like we're in a server literally called newegg ;)
lmfao
Anyway i'll throw a photo of my build in the buildpics chat
everywhere is out of stock is what I meant lol
Ah like that, that's true lol
yeah lol
@tribal mica what gpu is in your build
I have a Gainward GTX 1070
Aight cool
Does anyone know if the ausu tuf b450 plus supports third gen ryzen out of the box
500dx 100$ damn..
The cables were easy enough
Nah but crazy loop though
Thanks. That one took some time to perfect.
@void raft i hope the crap i bought is uv reflective lol just gotta wait for it to come in the mail so i can build my cables as well
The cables, hardest part, is always getting the pins to sit just right. Learned my lesson a few times getting it all put together and realizing that I put a single strand backwards for the pins, so I had to undo it and reattach
I have to get a new case to run some custom loops, my talos e1 isnt exactly ideal
@void raft eww... i'm hoping i can get away with doing one strand at a time
If you have the time, make sure to get some heat shrink and do the other cables too. Front I/O, Sata, Fans, the whole thing. Makes a world of difference.
yeah i found some white shrink wrap to go with the white paracord, but then i was thinking its going to be alot of white so i'll probably do black heatshrink
I like to offset. If you have a soldering iron, you can usually get the paracord to seal around the end cap and then can attach the base of the pin around it to hold it in place with the cable.
my soldering iron hrmmm
not sure it could do that lol its more for super fine soldering
but it might be able to generate enough heat if i crank it way up
Does anyone here own an Evolv X, if so does anyone know if it's possible to fit slim fans up top (as in above the radiator/fan mount?
@stoic island I havenโt been keeping up on the latest cpus. Is that the most recent 0.05% performance increase from intel for an extra 1k$?
well actually
this time they got more cores in at the least
10c20t
single core perf is bout the same, same 1% increase you expect
but also higher boosts
and higher power draw xD
Also how do I clean my pc without affecting the hardware
I donโt have that...
My mobo finally comes today at 1:30pm. 2 weeks without the mobo in im excited for my first build
Only playing Apex and minecraft. The rest is for video editing, streaming, and music producing. I'll definetly upgrade as it says there but I'll have to save up
Itll be more like a 600 650 ish upgrade. Not 500 mb
Pretty decent build
hellooo
question
would you rather choose a 60hz 1440p IPS no sync(Dell U2719D) 5ms flat monitor or a 144hz 1440p VA freesync(MSI MAG272CQR) 1ms curved monitor?
just a casual gamer
i know it depends but is IPS worth it for no sync and 60hz?
so the MSI would be a better choice, there isnt that much of a difference in color quality between VA and IPS right?
both are 27'
besides the contrasts
If you have a rig that can handle higher refresh rates, I wouldn't waste it on a 60hz display. But if you do have the budget for an IPS, I personally like the colors over VA
the rig is gonna be a r5 3600 and rx 5600 XT
i have a budget of 350-400 euros for the monitor
i dont think one can find a 144hz free sync 1440p IPS for less then 400
Isn't a 5600XT on the low end for 1440p?
I wouldn't imagine you would be taking advantage of a 144hz screen many games with that graphics card
true but i will be playing some older games and possibly hell let loose or post scriptum
i dont really want a 1080p monitor
dont have a budget for rx 5700
That is fair. If you are for sure getting that rig and keeping it for a while, I'd say a 60hz monitor might not be the worse
You in the UK?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Ultragear-27GL83A-B-27-Inch-Compatible/dp/B07XLDLZPF/
If so, here is a 27" QHD IPS display for ยฃ387.00
nope eastern europe
cant really buy stuff on amazon and other online sites
it costs too much
will have to buy in the local stores
so you would get the IPS one instead (Dell U2719D)?
@foggy path is that a OptiPlex 9010?
@little osprey I would personally, but it's up to you and your own preferances
@potent prairie yes it is
Ay, I have that same model
As a minecraft server not my own rig
Solid machine if you throw in some decent ram and a goodish gpu
Hey ive got about a $350 budget and im trying to get a new CPU and mother board for my old PC
any suggestions
What do you have already?
That would be helpful.
I'm going to have to figure out how tf to get drives and a gpu in this little thing
Sorry I have a
AMD FX 8320 (cpu)
Radeon RX 480 (gpu)
Do you want new ram too?
What memory
Send a picture
@potent prairie alright thanks for the help mate
Ok when can you send a pic
That's actually a decent cpu for the time
Looks like you'll have to get new ram though
It's old ram though, so it won't work with new cpu's
ive got 32 gb of ram
It's DDR3 though, new CPUs use DDR4
It's the ram
The motherboard supports the ram
If you want to keep that ram, we'll have to find an old/used CPU
@honest ridge whats the budget for your pc upgrade?
Good news is a 16GB kit of DDR4 only costs $60 or so
Ok cool
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CcPzTC
A friend of mine wants to build the pc. He is going to be gaming and streaming. Heโs mostly going to be streaming rocket league. Is this good?
As cheap as possible while being able to stream and game is what he wants
If he can spend an extra $8, this is a much better ssd https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fsqhP6/
Or this (tho apparently the battery on this gen isn't great): https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/CORSAIR-iCUE/Gaming-Mice/DARK-CORE-RGB-Performance-Wired-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse-(Refurbished)/p/CH-9315211-WW/RF
Like the mouse looks barebones for $50
PSU is overkill with wattage
400-500w psu should be fine?
idk about the monitor
I'd go for a 550w, just so you have some overhead from the tdp
Maybe 650w if he/she wants more room for upgrades
@honest ridge whats the budget for your pc upgrade?
@little leaf like 350
Then you can get a 3300x ds3h and 16gb of gskill or tforce
nvm out of stock
ye
riip
still backordered on b&h for me
ye It wasnโt loading on my phone
Stream matters more on GPU
If you have a Nvidia GPU, nvenc makes it simple
AMD GPU requires you to have more CPU power for streaming afaik
@little leaf thats what youd suggest?
Do you think i could get by without the Gpu upgrade
it looks fine as it is
but
if i wait another week and a half i could probably go for it
Its also a small amount better in games
The cpu is better than a 7700k
ok also in the link you sent it says there is compatibility issues
It wont need bios update
ok
also i have work so i have to leave
if theres anything else you can DM me or say it here and ill read it later
Hello
So i9 10900k, RTX 2080 super, and then what motherboard should I look for?
You planning to OC?
Currently Iโm running an i7 9700, RTX 2070 super
Looking for some major upgrades
Yes primary use is for gaming so Iโm looking for the best performance
Currently I have no OC capabilities & would like to be able to
You'll obviously need a LGA1200 socket. For OC, the best of intel is the Z490 chipset
Any brand you recommend the most?
Can someone tell me a good affordable wifi adapter
I like ROG, but they have crappy service according to many. But it's good advice to buy the product, not the brand. Look for the a board that has the features you value, but balance it with whatever budget you have. Look at reviews, etc. If you are going for pure value, the asus TUF line is generally pretty good... but again, service not so much
Iโm new to all this and my first build was terribly done and would like to start from scratch! $3000-$3500 budget
You could probably get a 2080 ti or 3080 ti with that budget
ROG Strix?
Yeah, it's my mobo brand of choice. But not good if you like RMAing
What are the key benefits of going with a 2080 super vs 2080 ti
2080 ti is 12GB vs 8 GB
Plus core count and all that
@granite delta
USB or PCIe
:v Iโd say the main difference is the core count
@granite delta
USB or PCIe
@potent prairie usb
Fair enough lol
Or which ever one is better for the money
@granite delta Go on Amazon or Newegg, search for 802.11ac usb dongle. Find the cheapest from a reputable brand (I wouldn't get some knockoff one from china). If you want, go on eBay and see if you can find one there (but in generally eBay is flooded with cheap stuff that is advertised at ratings that are probably not accurate)
Thank you :)
Np.
Like I highly doubt that this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Dual-Band-450Mbps-USB-WiFi-Wireless-Adapter-Network-Card-2-4-5GHz-802-11ac/133148482010?hash=item1f004499da:g:rAwAAOSwmHhdXhSf is actually 802.11ac
lmao
For reference, here is a handy chart of theoretical speeds of wifi protocols
It might be. But EDUP isn't exactly TPLink...
You might be fine with either b/c reviews look very good. But amazon reviews are not always to be trusted
Np. Just do a speed test when you get it
If something seem unreasonably low, you can always return it
Which of the two you prefer?
I'd get the cheaper one w/ more reviews.
Mk
Is it time to build yet or should i wait a bit longer?
Hello
Hey
I have a question
Don't ask to ask, just ask ๐
Reason: Bad word usage
That sticker often acts as a heatspreader. Plus, removing it will void your warranty.
i did
Bro how u gonna build a pc but be clueless to how to do stuff. Its as simple as watching a 30 minute YT video and reading ur manual
b r o
no prob, hes good
@little osprey screw it on
Done
yea
@keen depot Not all CPU coolers screw in
TBH, None of the CPU coolers I've dealt with have screwed in
12 or so have had a latch on the top, two a latch on the side, three those weird twisting latches, and one was pasted right to the CPU and wasn't connected to the motherboard at all
Hello, everyone. I am looking to build my first PC build and I am wondering if micro motherboards would be a good choice for a budget build.
and what should I get for that budget build.
Micro motherboards are good
What is your budget and what will you be doing with the computer?
Depends, sometimes the mATX variant is more expensive, sometimes the ATX variant is more expensive...but I think that might be more noticeable in used parts
around the 1k limit. and a lot of gaming, but I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on it since it would be my first build
1k will actually get you a pretty decent build.
1k would be my limit, but would a micro board be okay for a decent gaming computer?
Sounds good. Do you need CUDA?
no. I don't need atm. Possible down the road.
Okay. Do you need wifi?
Yes
I am sorry D:
It's fine lol
It just seems like more often then not, the people that could actually use ethernet don't have access to ethernet
my dad lives with me and he is also a network guy, so he doesn't want network cables going around the place
Okay
You wouldn't by any chance have a pcie wifi adapter on hand then, would you?
I believe I do. I have to get it from the storage closet
Really? Is it any good?
