you usually overclocked from BIOS back then
either with a multiplier, which was like a basic easy overclocking, or messing with hz directly
idealy a lower multiplier with a faster manual clock
compared to today where its just, throw cooling at it, pc overclocks itself

I've got a dilemma that I'm facing. I'm building with a 3900x and I'm going to replace my gtx1070 later this year. PCpartpicker says I'm just under 500 watts with what I'm going to be using for the short term. My current PSU is 750w but I anticipate needing more. I plan on water cooling. Is it bad to have too much of a PSU?

TT smart is not good quality. You gotta think, if they’re selling it for $50, there’s money from that going to shipping, manufacturing, paying workers, etc, so the PSU is worth way less than what it’s list price is. This lets us know TT is obviously using real cheap parts in that unit. And usually, cheap = bad.
