oh yeah im in canada !
its the whole availability part of things :)
Ohhhh
does anyone have part picker list for 1000 ish for gaming computer intel cpu
why intel cpu
@humble mural we can make one, but it would not make logical sense in regards to budget at that point.
wdym
expensive for no logical reason
i dont know to much
(intel)
this is going to be my first build
AMD is currently cheaper and makes more sense for CPUs.
oh so what amd would be the best
amd ryzen 5 3400g this is one i was thinking of but idk
for gaming?
its in my cart already! and @foggy hazel when you get a second because youre juggling 1000 questions lmao, you recommend switching to Nvidia or keep my AMD graphics?
i just personally like AMD 😛
well, it wouldnt matter much, it is ultimately a question of: What are you willing to pay for really
rAyTraCiNg
and i know that i am pushing your budget here, but imo, https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_559&item_id=135901 <- that is the more sensible choice
@grand spindle see above :)
honestly price really isnt the option at this point and thats the cheapest ive seen for that graphics card oh my lol
:)
empty list
copy this link
that's a weird list rias
I'm actually just gonna suggest my list again
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tKdVHB
that barra hdd is good btw, you really want to have more than just that ssd for storage
only ur os and biggest games will be on the ssd, the rest can be used for cache if u want
i would go with Mr111's list
what about the cpu
1600af performs like a 2600
its a solid option, the gpu can carry a lot of weight. If it really bothers you, maybe a 2060 and more money towards the cpu
and in games, the GPU carrys the weight
and with that motherboard, you can upgrade to a better 4th gen ryzen chip down the line if you want to
^^
be careful of that one @stoic island
yes, i know, there is a rumour about it right now
but we dont have official confirmation from Asus about that
and just to be 100% certain it is clear. I dont disagree. But context needs to be given when saying what you did @stoic island
What rumour?
I went to do something else
Might've missed something
@foggy hazel what do you mean?
the 4th gen support on b450 chipset boards
I assume it would continue
afterall a320 got 3rd gen support. But yes, it is an assumption
aye
and you have some background info for understanding that
someone that is just starting out or dont have that much of an interest in the topic wont
wuts with the 3600
Also, that rumor
i just herd alot of good stuff about it
do you think that would be the case? Afterall, the mainboard manufacturers should know the info already.
@stoic island imo, it depends entirely on the b550 boards
its good, but you are looking for gaming no? the 3600 is good yes but are you into music production, rendering, or video production?
it boost you fps by 10%
85$ for a 1600af is extremely good price to performance
it looks like
@humble mural you are focusing on the wrong parts
it will be cheaper to upgrade ur cpu down the line than your gpu
Yea
so i should get 1600 and get better gpu
will completely fill your gaming needs
the one that mr1111 linked?
yes
ok
you think there will be better option for cpu any time soon
like in 3 months
or gpu
maybe, maybe not.
you are the only one that can decide what the "time" is worth for you
also @stoic island may i ask why that ssd on the list? theres a wd for a little less isnt there
because its a solid ssd
well im buy part by part so every 2 weeks get some parts
bad idea
save up and get it all at once
save up money, buy when you have it all
the "part by part" approach is imo horrible for getting a decent machine
y would you say that\
because things change too much
and the people doing this approach (in this case you) are quite unlikely to pay close enough attention to the parts to actually get the parts that make sense
it wont be too long tho just like month or 2
in that case it really would be better to wait
because it is close to impossible to make a list NOW, that will be valid in (2 weeks * 8 parts =) 4 months
the market is wack right now
in other words, start saving up.
in the meantime, you can wait and see if your mobo will have definite support for a ryzen 4th gen or maybe ram will go down in price
so many things can change in 4 months
the advantage to doing that is this: IF in 2 months you actually need the money for something serious, then you have it.
ok
Hey can someone help me find a good pc on 1000$ if you find pls DM me with nividia 2070 pls
@woeful elm it comes and goes
people just want a fix all and will immediate answer
also, just in case you didnt know, sometimes discord is slow in showing "earlier/older" content in a channel when you have just joined
if ur gunna spend $1000 on something it would be smart to do some research on ur own lol
plenty of people spend a lot more than that without a care in the world
what size radiator would you put in the bottom of the o11 xl?
Should I go GeForce GTX 1070 or 5600 XT?
thickness wise
have some patience @brave oracle
the 5600xt chip itself is a fair deal faster than the 1070
GPU 2019 benchmarks: Compare two products side-by-side or see a cascading list of product ratings along with our annotations.
Does anyone know of any good trading forums. I'm building my first PC, a few of the components Im looking for are sold out everywhere.
I know FB has trading but I deleted my account years ago and don't want to go back. I've also checked ebay.
r/hardwareswap
@plucky lily maybe if you post your build here as a pcpartpicker link, we can suggest alternatives?
@sullen spoke thank you, I'll check that out
.
So was considering spoiling myself with the 32core ryzen threadripper but I keep reading that it severely limits Mobo/gfx options. Anyone here have firsthand knowledge?
I was wondering if this is a good PC for my friend it says he's not allowed to post this link so I posted it for him
its out of stock tho
Hi
Is it just for gaming? If so, what games? If not, what usage would it see?
It's the @wraith herald
It just didn't let him put the link so talk to him about it not me LOL
its out of stock tho
Yeh, just asking since I see him here too.
Yeah it’s for me
What would ya use it for
Mostly gaming
Which games?
Just wondering if it is any good
Do you plan to stream?
Probably not
its not very good because there are none left
In general looks like a solid build for most gaming
Ok
Lol @viral ore
heh
I mean I’m not getting it for like 2 months so it might be back in stock by then
theres like 100 people here who can help you build a PC
Yes but we're frends form school
plus whatever you build will be much better than that cyberpower
So it would be easier for me to help
Yeah
yeah
So what do u want to do?
I guess I’ll wait to see if it’s in stock
And if not I’ll build it
In like 2 months
What if we just built it with the same parts
it would be cheaper and better quality
yeah, theres a bunch of people here who are capable of putting a decent parts list
when it comes time to buy, just send a msg here listing your budget
Ok
and probably within 30 mins you will know exactly what parts to buy
and you can buy them
Ok I’m not getting it for like 2 months
then remember to ask here 2 months from now
Ok
If you give us a Max budget we can try and put a list together but in two months that PC could be worth $900
So
Ok
@spark sleet you are aware of the budget that would require right?
Currently looking to drop 5-6 grand, so should be ballpark in the right area
Just don't wanna bother if there's tons of compatibility issues
Thinking I may just go with the ryzen 9
You have any relevant info on my question though? @foggy hazel
That sounded rude... Didnt mean it to
Last time I was getting into PC builds 8 cores were fairly new so, super out of the loop when it comes to the threadrippers
@spark sleet i do
and dont worry about it sounding rude
and please take the following questions in a positive way
what do you intend to use the system for?
(asking to get a feel for what "kind" of system will best suit you)
My intended use is mostly just going to be streaming/gaming, so I know it is complete overkill, but I'm just trying to future proof as much as possible
because the threadrippers are bit of a "odd-duck" kind of system
dont go threadripper
not even in a "money is not an option/limit" build
With the rise and assumed continued growth for vr, just trying to make sure I don't need a new build for 10 years
currently the limit/problem is software
most programs just cluck like a chicken and twiddle their thumbs when presented with the TR chips
Was gonna do an Intel chip but
With streaming, the ryzen should be a better bang for my buck
Uhhh, I'll double check but, from what I saw ryzen 9s are 12core non-threadrippers?
Okay lol
Was gonna say
Haha
the 3950x is also a ryzen 9
and the 3950x is a 16core/32thread cpu for the regular am4 socket
Yeah, would you mind if I pcpartpickered my current Amazon wishlist and DMd you about it?
Thanks, saw you helping others earlier and ya seem knowledgable
Gonna be a bit, doing this all mobiley
:)
:p
you could also just screenshot the wishlist for me
Works
i can throw it together fairly fast on pcpp
he said pp
Aye guys i need help
i have an rtx 2080 with i7 and i am experiencing low frames and drame drops, i belive i should be getting 240
What gen i7 and in what games?
8700
Fortnite
Other games like warzone and valorant it’s decent
But in fortnite they arnt stable and drop so much
What's your ram?
32 one stick
Wtf
Yeah
idk what I should do I literally have an rtx and it’s so trash with my other specs
My power supply is 500 and it is recommended at least 750 for 2080
What should I do
I can send the link to my pc if u want
tough scene
link tho?
.
do you watch your temps while gaming?
jesus 2k
get a cooling monolisk from noctua or smthin
they are not called monolisks btw that was a joke
not worth
Ok so what parts should I get
Shouldn't need that much for a 8700 non-K. Just a CM 212 or similar will do a ton better than a stock cooler.
New ram?
watercooling looks so nice, but its not worth the premium. Noctua doesnt look great in rigs, maybe a corsair or something.
performance first, looks later
only one stick of ram right?
True dat but they could have gone black instead of tan and brown lmao
they do
Yeah one stick
Do u guys think I should be getting 240 stable ?
If I have a rtx 2080
240fps?
in like csgo yea
also depends on cpu
I mean I have a i7 8700
Can anybody help me I’m trying to decide between an i9 9900k or a ryzen 9 3900x
3900x has better performance, but gets slightly less fps in games
if gaming isn't the absolute only thing you do, get the 3900x
cores for multipurpose and clockspeed for gaming, did i get that right?
What’s the difference in frames when gaming like 5 frames?
for most cases, less than you would notice
i thought it was a joke
Is the gigabyte b450 aourus elite amd am4 atx motherboard good for a ryzen 93900x
Can u guys help me to pick out the parts for my prebuilt
what
yes
XD
he basically needs a better cpu cooler and probably another stick of ram for dual channel, it could be only 16 in one slot but thats what i caught from earlier
Idek man I just need to know what parts to get
Hi, I'm an amateur that is salvaging some pieces of my old ASUS i7 desktop (new psu, silent fans, 1 tb ssd) I'm tired of messing around with motherboard and cpu. i just cant get it to work. Can someone help me find a refurbished or new budget computer to buy for audio production that I can replace with my new psu and ssd?
Nah it’s 16 I thought it was 32
So what parts should I get
its a single stick of 16 correct>
@unkempt ibex If you want to add another DIMM of RAM you should figure out the exact make/model/frequency/timing of the one you have and try to buy an identical one.
A Cooler Master Hyper 212 is a really good option for upgrading to a substantially better CPU cooler without spending a ton of money. Anything bigger or better is going to see diminishing returns on a 8700.
500w should be enough for your system but just barely. Find a 750w 80+ gold rated PSU from a reputable brand for something a bit more solid and upgrade friendly.
Also maybe tempter your expectations a bit. Not sure what kind of monitor you are using but 240 fps at the highest graphic settings is hard to pull off in a lot of current games even with decent hardware.
i would say get a second stick thats exactly the same as the one u have in there
well saevis got it
One of my friends pulls 240 with my cpu and a rx 590 or something like thag
@full seal I would go Deepcool Gammaxx + extra rgb fan for push/pull, but okay
that all depends on what game at what graphics settings
He played on sorta high
As a fun note, stock 3950x and 2080Ti can easily run off a 550w
secondly, never trust a PSU by brand
or by rating
or modularity, etc
Alr so should I get a new motherboard or keep it
I mean you should also read reviews before you buy anything but they're decent standards to start with.
just list out the parts you have all in one message, and the budget you have to upgrade
by specific
Which would be better, PNY XLR8 2060 SUPER or EVGA XC Gaming 2060 SUPER?
I have the link or do u want the parts
both work
<redacted>
i took another peek at the listing
thats the link u posted earlier
honestly, get a techie opinion on that one chief. Its really not worth it to switch out major components on this pc.
it looks like, in the listing photos, that it comes with two sticks of ram
Wdym like you don’t think I should swap out a couple times
Nah one
I can send a picture if you would like
sure
from the way i see it, the only things i think you need are: a second stick of ram, a cpu cooler. Before going out and buying a massive cpu cooler, make sure that it will fit in your case and next to your ram.
see: dual channel memory.
if thats whats on ur mobo, then in theory yes. but again i would also get a second opinion from someone who knows a little more than me
the yellow people, legendary techies in the wild
reddit, but beware it is messy. the people here know what they are talking about and can help immediately to answer any questions you have.
id say servers like this are some of the best help besides having someone with you
set the Windows Performance profile to High Performance
clocks could be going up/down during gaming, which can cause stuttering
hei is good ^^
manually update audio drivers, GPU drivers, win update
Yep did all that
yes, audio drivers can cause stuttering
Trust me I’ve watched so much YouTube for this
Windows is fun
Updating audio drivers?
Lol
indeed, helped some guy a little while back
How do I update my audio drivers
Device Manager>Audio inputs and outputs>find what driver you have (most likely realtek)
theoretically speaking you shouldnt have stutters with your current hardware. So I doubt some random upgrade would fix it
Also Naed, I see you typing. Any pointers would help too
yellow!
Ok but for the future what things do I need to add to my computer
Ah
storage, GPU, PSU, CPU, etc
Well I have one ram stick of 16
hei see my above reccs
like, lot of the time OEM machines have a "meh" PSU. They can sometimes skimp out on protections, be group regulated, have bad performance
Yeah
sometimes they're good enough in all regards
But idk I have a 2080 and i7 8700 and my frames arnt thag good
So like what would be holding that back?
most likely software
or, maybe you just expect more out of the system then what you think you should have
example, viewing a 8700k+2080 accidently benchmark and expecting the same results
rather then 8700+2080
I mean yeah but I know someone who gets 240 with a rx590
settings, resolution, scenario in game (are they looking at the sky), actual game, etc all matter
No not at all and his setting are not all on low
"not on low" and "exactly as mine" are two very, very, different things
He has some on high
I can set "tessellation" on high and perf would barely change compared to low for 99% of games that have that setting
so again, perf isnt comparable until you compare to same settings
not "almost same"
but "exactly same"
Ok guys, in desperate need of advice,. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Qps4jp
This are the ones I've already purchased.
Amd processor
Ssd
Power supply unit and hdd
And case
I'm trying to find the last few parts
You can mark them as purchased on the list to make it easier
also same hdd, it good hdd
I can cancel it as it hasn't been shipped yet
Yep
Also is there a reason why you have the ram kit in particular
I followed a guys suggestion locally from tulsa
I'm trying to get a system that has to run vulkan api
And capable of running but loads of mods/add-ons from Skyrim and eso
He suggested the folloy
Following *
seems kinda pricy for 3200 CL16 tho
Ok hei if u had my pc thought what parts would u buy to make it better
Any ideas? @buoyant flame
I've tried searching but things come up similar just not the right ones
@meager relic hello again
Hai
i see you have succeeded in corrupting the build from last night
I'd need more info to say what I'd upgrade as I'd do research on the PSU, finding exact specs and timings of RAM and try to OC it, see whether SSD has DRAM cache, etc
Not corrupted
to many variables to guess off of
More like changed it
you have traded off all the wrong things
What do you mean
and even gone against your own requirements from last night
My guy told me it was a bad idea following your build.
lets compare shall we :)
lol
Ok
I mean that HP doesnt be nice just as many other sellers and doesnt give the exact model of every part in the build
which would you rather actually use Hei?
meaning I can only guess most stuff
@foggy hazel this is going off a prebuilt from someone else
I would rather use @foggy hazel build because I kinda like not starting fires lol
no no, i meant of the two pcpp lists posted :) (for you Hei)
tell your "local guy" to take a hike
GPU is about the only worse thing I think. Dont remember that XFX one being good
its "okay"
as in, standard, nothing to write home about
because the budget is what it is
Naed, yes or no, the CPU has already been shipped as well the SSD and hdd
Awe dang so I’m stuck I literally have no clue what to do then
That good or bad
OS
yes, it "works"
No I have no reinstalled it yet
I tried restarting my pc and it said like I couldn’t
why is he reinstallin
I lived with it for a decent while, it wasnt all too horrible
Resetting*
@foggy hazel ok I can make adjustments still what about the cpu
@cursive wharf you also know what you are doing.
probably most fun issue was software not letting me install on other drives without being annoying
@meager relic please pretend that you have at least read the lists :)
I did
then your cpu question is irrelevant, its the same cpu.
Hei what should I do then reinstall it?
well, you can still try the audio driver force update
Can I use that case or go with what you suggested
the case is entirely your choice @meager relic
Is it? I thought it has to match mobo
but again, you still didnt clarify much about whether the settings you're running give the correct FPS or not
neither are great cases. but again, that is because of your budget.
I don't want a fancy case tho
have you used a game benchmark with settings set to the same as someone else
less about fancy and more about whether its a pain to build in or not
Yeah
then buy either of them @meager relic
Ok
lol
H510 has meh airflow and is arguably worse then Focus G
you really cant afford to be picky
This is so confusing
the patience of a god
Ok I’m doing the audio driver thing now
Hey naed, can I ask you if you don't mind
Please don't kill me after things get bought... Im 36... But I'm not..... 36... Some will understand me some don't... It's hard to explain,....... I'm so insecure about buying my very own not orebuilt ocs. I ask too many people
consider this @meager relic
I mean, it's your money man
i would not recommend anything if i didnt trust that it would work.
we just try hard to get the best for the money for you
Ugh all my drivers are up to date
and yes, that gets me in a heck of a lot of trouble at times, but that is how things are.
no auto update, manual update @unkempt ibex
you need to download the drivers from the company's website
Windows has their own set of drivers to install, but sometimes arent that great
Idk what website to go to
that depends on the driver you have; Realtek, SupremeFX, something else
@foggy hazel last question before I buy this video card.
ask away
Yeah I have Realtek
Does it support vulkan api, or what parts are guaranteed to work vulkan api
That's absolutely is a must
it does
Thank you
Is it OK to have 2 rads on a build? I have the EVGA kingpin, which comes with one attached, and I'm looking at the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 AIO cooler.
then download this "64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file).."
https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/pc-audio-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-software
@plucky lily yes
the realtek site is notoriously slow
Oh
that is just how it is
After it downloads should I restart my pc?
@foggy hazel👍
now you just have to wait for the parts to arrive
@unkempt ibex after it downloads you uninstall the current Realtek driver and install the new one
but because site is slow as heck, wait until download finishes before uninstall
as mentioned, now you just have to wait :)
Yeap, but the thing is on backorder
Which kinda sucks
And I tried to cancel the SSD, not any guarantee it will tho
Anyone here?
Quick advice please, I’ve received all my pc parts just waiting on the cooler master 360mm AIO
Will I need to apply different better thermal paste to cpu or does the AIO come with good paste pre installed like some?
The same thermal paste is ok to be used with both air and water cooling
As for wether it comes with the AIO, I can't say
What's aio?
ALRIGHT, so
Basically
Ryzen 5 3600
32GBs 4x8GB of DDR4 3600mhz
Whats good ram timings for getting it from 3200mhz to 3600mhz?
Hey so random question but I'd the dudes that helped me last week or on that would be super
I don't remember there's names
But if I see them I will remember
Reason: Bad word usage
I figured it out nvm
K
I was offsetting each one by two and my voltage was a bit lower than i should have had it
@foggy hazel would this mobo https://www.newegg.com/asrock-b450m-hdv-r4-0/p/N82E16813157871?m_ver=1 work? Since the other one is on back order
Oh wait.. nvm
That graphic card was on back order lol
mid tower pcs are ATX aren’t they?
generally yes.
but the "mid tower" part doesnt guarantee anything in regards to specific mainboard size
Anyone around to help me with a mobo question on the newegg site?
The Asus prime with h10 says it supports up to 128gb of ram but the standalone bored says it only supports 64gb of ram. Is that a typo?
ASUS Prime Z390-A/H10 Motherboard
2sec
wont let me link to newegg here because apparently newegg links arent allowed lol
its not that links arent allowed, its your level that is too low
Its probably because your not lvl 3 yet
ah
Beat me by 2 sec :)
Lol
Prime Z390-A/H10 vs just Prime Z390-A. One says it supports 128 the other says 64 but the only difference is the optane...
both are actually optane compatible
not quite, it seems they use a different bios
because asus' site mirrors the 64 and 128 numbers for the ram
so "something" is different
Oooooooooooh. Okay well I almost bought the 64 ram board with 128gb of ram because I thought the mobo supported it lol
and yes, the danish asus site is slow, but the US site doesnt want to load that page for reasons unknown
Thank you for finding that. I looked for the mobo on Asus and only found the standalone one so I thought the optane combo was something Newegg was putting together
nah, that is just a good old regular SNAFU when it comes to asus and their website :)
which is what led to my confusion. Thank you for finding that for me
you are very welcome :)
can someone help me choose the perfect parts for a gaming $1500 budget
Hey guys, im building my first gaming rig n ordering my parts in a couple days. The parts i have chosen now is an asrock b450m pro4-f, 16 gig 3200 ram, a pny gtx 1660 super, and a ryzen 5 1600af. Im also getting a new cpu cooler, and the nr400 with extra fans to improve airflow and hopefully allow for some good overclocks. Im wondering if this build will be good enough for close to 144hz gaming? I dont mind lowering my graphics down to even the lowest values, i just want 144hz in most games i throw at it on 1920x1080p
Ive seen benchmarks of the 1600af and 1660 super, but most benchmarks ive seen are done in high/ultra graphics. I cant really find the answer anywhere on whether or not this will be good enough when lowering my graphics
When you lower your graphics, it's extremely likely that you'll be able to get 144fps.
But how far you'll have to lower settings depends on the game
Okay thank you! Yeah ive gone from intel hd graphics, to a gt 1030, so i dont mind lowered graphics at all :) I just want enough for 1920x1080 144hz lol
I also have kind of bad eyesight, so i dont even mind dropping down to 1280x720 and enabling fxaa since i cant really tell a huge difference between the 2 anyways lol. Also, its my first time ordering off amazon and my b450m pro4-f ran out of stock, it says in an orange color "In stock on april 23, 2020", but it still has the "buy now" button available. Does that mean i can buy the part now and once they get it back in stock they will automatically ship it to me?
I would assume so
Also a 1660 super can handle 1080p just fine, don't need to lower the quality much lol
You should reasonably accomplish close to 144fps in most games on high/medium settings
I'm not too sure, since I don't own a 1660 super, but it definally wont force you to move to 720p.
Okay sweet thanks for the info lol, i hope that it allows me to order all my parts in a few days then. I want to get it asap so i hope they will allow me to purchase it before its officially in stock lol
For corsair rgb fans. Do you need the commander pro and the lighting node pro or would just the commander pro would be fine?
does anyone know of some good ram that is compatible with a gigabyte B450M DS3H, ive been having a hard time picking
I just found out a few days ago u can actually go into the ram makers website and search for supported motherboards if the ram ur viewing isnt in ur mobo qvl. Ive been seeing some good reviews on corsair vengeance lpx, just make sure it is compatable :) Also if ur running a ryzen cpu, i heard ryzen likes faster ram speeds (3000mhz+) so to get the most out of your build u may want to go with something fast and has 2 sticks for dual channel
And im not sure about the rgb fans, so im sorry i cant help with that
thanks
He doesn't care about the parts as long their cheap
if his dads a pc guru why would he be soliciting this info from others nd not just ask his dad
Hey can anyone here explain to me the difference between adata xpg ram model number AX4U320038G16-DRS, and the model number AX4U320038G16A-DBZ. I think the last part of the model number has to do with the coloring, but i dont understand why there is the letter A after the model number in the ram im looking at. I want to get a asrock b450m pro4 and the model number without the A is supported but will the model with the A work as well since it is all they have in stock on amazon?
Ive tried looking the answer up but havent found anything what so ever on the model number differences. There is also one that is the same model number but instead of an A its an F, do i have to be worried about the last letter or does it not matter?
@rough loom............. Cause I've burned my dad out on any of help whatsoever
I've destroyed his builds, kernel panicked os, I've gotten PC stolen, I've destroyed builds
My dad won't toucha thing
And that line was a ruse so to speak, my dad never said anything about the power supply, it was someone else in here... I just had to see if it was true and if he knew it all along.
@meager relic that reads as a person that loves reddit.
@foggy hazel were you from denmark?
@jovial quest i am
is there a site or store you would recommend buying parts from?
whatever has the best price for you really. Because consumer laws are very much on the consumers side here in denmark
that or pricerunner are the tools of choice in denmark yes
just be aware that things can be listed multiple times on those sites
so always look at the actual part number
and not just the name the seller has given it
@foggy hazel. Person loves reddit? Btw good morning
Its like 5 pm for him rn 😂
afternoon to you
Ahhhh
was out enjoying the forest trails earlier
"person who loves reddit" <- my way of saying: someone that loves to copy paste statements from reddit, normally without actually understanding what they are copying.
Ok, so I'm not griping at all the stuff you've suggested naed, it's just I asked if I could get a build under 800.00 usd,. Since the graphics card was on backorder I cancelled it to hopefully find another one... That build you linked me exceeded past the 800.00 budget
I still got the case, ram, psu, CPU, coming though
Just can't afford the hdd, or SSD or graphic card atm
Well I can afford one
Just not all 3
the HDD you can wait with
it is NOT relevant right now
that should be the absolute last thing
Is there any graphic card you could suggest that would work with vulkan, and be around maybe 250 with or without including shipping?
aye, we can always scale down
Oh yeah I even got the mobo
All of them are coming
Some items I bought from Newegg, some items I got from amazin
Yes, amazin XD
how much did you pay for the mainboard?
because i can see that amazon are charging an insane amount for it
that board was not supposed to be above 100
because that price hike is what brings the build above 800
Just a min
So uh I'm going to rebuild my PC, I know it's possible but should I sell my graphics card rn? Or just put 2 in my computer?
1050ti going to upgrade to 2070 super or 2080
The mobo, power supply and ram, came to 218,16
Er.. ignore the ,.
That's meant to be a . @foggy hazel
I got them from newegg
optimus you would have the upgraded gpu in ur system or the 1050ti, not both
so unless you want the 1050 sitting around, you can sell it AFTER you get your new card and know that it works
Naed from Newegg I got my Mobo for 89.99
AiGhT
good @meager relic
that is how it should be
what is causing the flare in price then?
because i KNOW the list was below 800
This is the list that you gave me afaik,https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ksxJPn
how much are yall over?
And looking at that, it's over 800
because of the mobo is sourced from amazon on that list
if you source it from newegg its not over
.62 in mine 😄
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dfpfGc <- this is the list with the 3 parts you linked earlier adjusted for what you paid for
Ok, so I should get the graphics card listed in that link?
2sec
I have got mobi psu ram from Newegg,. CPU from Amazon, case from zachario
Lol
@meager relic yes, just get that card.
no links allowed from there says the bot
@umbral moon because your lvl is not high enough yet
send me the link and i will post it on behalf of you @umbral moon
ok
this is on behalf of @umbral moon https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CQR2YH
Naed, it said bestbuy is sold out on that utem
let me find another one then
Ok
bestbuy is alright
Circuitcity was better before they closed down permanently
Oh man I miss circuitcity
didn’t anyone else see the newegg giveaway on instagram
No
oh
What giveaway
they are giving away a pc
Nice....
and for a 2nd prize a monitor
and a 3rd is 2k in gift cards
i’ll dm you a screen shot
I'm 36 ^.^
i think you qualify then
Indeed username lol
my part list on new egg is at home on my laptop
i have to wait to change some things
@umbral moon did you want actual feedback on that build?
why did you ask to get it posted if you didnt want feedback?
well i wanted feedback
GRRR naed, my bank keeps thinking Newegg is fraudulent
take that up with your bank
lol that happened to me
i’m on new egg about every day
i personally dont care where people buy their parts
i’m always looking for deals
you trying to hatch eggs or something @umbral moon ?
lol
maybe
i want a i9 9900k but it’s like as much as my motherboard and cpu combined
more than
Naed, I have exactly 100.21 in bank after that purchase
Ram, psu, pcu, case, graphics card Mobo
i’m still saving for my pc lol
I used my stimulus check on my pc
i’m not 18 so i didn’t get a stimulus check
No but if your under 16 your parents got 500
like my mom would ever let me have it
If your older than 16, and haven't filed 2019 tax return, yeah.. no go
my mom let me use that 500 lmao
i wish
Lol good for her
can someone rate my upcoming build plan
its
Ryzen 5 3600
asus b450i
corsair vengeance rgb 3600mhz 16gb
rx 5700xt Nitro+
lian li TU 150
and any 500-600w itx psu
my budget is $1200
👍
Was gonna say that if you were maybe an RTX card would do you justice, but that sounds like it'll be a sick build!
I'm waiting for big Navi and 4000 amd
Idk if I should
Bc the only way my parents will let me build another computer is if I sell my current one
But with the virus the prices are really bad so I don't want to waste money rn
honestly it actually looks pretty good to me
i just don't know enough about the PSU to judge, and you're honestly getting overcharged on that corsair memory
that's 3000
@sleek lotus is there any specific reason that you are using Scan?
hey my case came with two fans, should i get a third?
will one intake and one exhaust be good for a ryzen 5 3600 and 2070 super
one intake and one exhaust
it should be
if you really wanted to be safe you could get one more for exhaust but you will be fine with 2
i wouldn’t need another for intake for sure though?
fractal design meshify c atx
it looks like it has good air flow
@sleek lotus i am aware. that doesnt explain Scan as the only place to buy from
they are not exactly known as the cheapest place
start by putting your build together in pcpartpicker
remember to select United Kingdom in the upper right dropdown
that will give you some context for what it is going to cost you to "only" get things from 1 place
does anyone have any websites or coupon codes for amazon for a logitech g29
for it to be cheaper
Hey. I have a question about my build
ask, and someone will answer if they feel they have something to say about it
google that
and take note of all the other details you have left out
and then please come back and ask a question we can actually answer :)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/g2g9BZ Is this part list good?
I already bought the gtx 1650, so don't criticize me for a dead-on-arrival card
want a mild oc with the ryzen 5 3600, just to bring it up to ryzen 5 3600x level
if stock keeps being what it currently is, then you are going to wait a long time for the AMP
I know, im building after the quarantine
that is a detail that is fairly important to mention up front :)
i would personally not buy the tomahawk
it is not worth the money
they most likely latched on to the "overclocking" part of your comment/question
k
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/y3prxr/asus-tuf-b450m-pro-gaming-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-tuf-b450m-pro-gaming <- this does everything the tomahawk does, and more
aside from having you pay for VRM's that wont matter one bit for you
i would strongly suggest that you actually look at the product page
https://puu.sh/FzGzp/edf4519269.png <- because that is just a sample from the QVL for that board
added advantages of that board include, but are not limited to an extra m.2 port
a soundchip you dont want to burn upon first listen
and a cheaper price
lmao i guess then
but, you have to be aware, that yes, technically the vrm on the tomahawk are "better"
however, realistically, it is not going to matter for you at all
but, hopefully all of this is going to be moot by the time you actually want to build your rig
and the b550 chipset boards are actually out, and the TUF has a successor
i just realized i never got feedback for my pc part picker list
because you couldn't decide if you wanted it or not @umbral moon [edit: couldn't)
http://puu.sh/FzGK5/c674029f36.jpg <- that was what you said :)
then i said yes
technically, you said you "wanted" something. which means you dont want it anymore
:)
but lets have a look at your build then
any specific reason you are going with those specific parts?
specifically thinking ram/mobo/ssd here
and what is the actual budget on that build?
what made you choose those parts?
I mean you can make a good motherboard like the b450 but all the others do is just add designs to a motherboard you can get for a 100$
a b450 for $100
and what about the other parts?
well for the ram i won 2 sticks of it awhile ago so buying two more will get me 4 sticks
@sharp perch question wasnt for you :)
@foggy hazel anything else to fix?
@umbral moon and as i asked, what about the other parts?
@modern shadow 2sec, let me look again :)
scroll up and read :)
the sdd is for windows 10 and small applications
and the mobo is a semi cheap one that is good
also recommended
to me
did that same friend suggest that specific ssd?
no
what about the GPU?
i found that one myself and the same friend told me it was good
@modern shadow you might be able to save a bit on the SSD side of things
but that is going to be very much in flux, so as a placeholder for the "intention" it is a solid way of doing that @modern shadow
Random question. Is a Ryzen 5 1600 (not the AF) enough for a gtx 1080 ti?
especially when keeping in mind that the build isnt intended to be purchased for a good while
@sly depot technically, yes
@foggy hazel just waiting for prices to come down after C_______________________
you knwo what
@modern shadow and that is going to introduce all kinds of flux in the price, so .. yeah :)
@umbral moon for a "no budget" build, going with a 300usd GPU seems very ... odd ...
just saying.
lol
@foggy hazel little hard having lots of people need help I could help you
this would be a better option, it would just take a lot longer to save up
that’s what i had originally
Dont get that one
If I were you get a lower end gpu
It only does a bit more but a 2080 or 2070s are also good
What do you wanna do with your rig
@umbral moon the point is that the "logic" behind your build seems fairly out of wack
Than I don’t think you need a 2080 ti
People stream with 1660s and they are doing fine
okay
But what monitor will you pick/have
Than why are you getting a 2080ti it’s more for 4K
That monitor I should get a lower gpu it isn’t even that much of a boost
Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice gpu but other GPU’s like lower ends 1070 or 2070 is good enough
If you want nearly an expiriance as the 2080ti you can do a 1070ti sli
okay
That is also really nice
I mean for that money for the gpu you can get a full working pc
@foggy hazel wanna take over;)
okay
nah, its not a serious build
Ah okay
so i dont see a need to comment on it really
I mean yeah a 2080ti is just for people who already have the money and know they need that extra horse power
it’s a serious build but alright
I mean when do you think you can get you’re build
depends on what parts i chose
"no budget" + the answers you have given so far = not a serious build.
If it’s like 5 years than yeah
Okay so how mutch do you think you can get in a year
In money
i already have $832 saved up
How long did it take you to get that money
like 4 months
Hmm than do you make money or do you just get this for personal things
Because I think that’s hard to believe
If you’re a hard working person than I get it
i make 9 an hour
Hmm
Than idk man go for a low end build
You don’t need the highest specs
Or if you wait spare money more because they are releasing much more things this year
Like the ps5 or the new Xbox
But if you live in USA
Than I wanna recommend the h1
Really good and you can take it with you
okay
Than go to the letsbld site and find the h1 and it is decently spekked or if you’re a intel guy and want a smaller case than the h1 than get intels new build with their better chipset
Liberated you can’t self promo here or serve weird links or lots of text
Can someone check out my build? It is my first time and I already bought the intel core i9 9000k
Sure
oops
I can check for you
I accidently re pasted
this @raw igloo https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cPFjhg ?
Use that and select you’re parts
your
That's it
