Stupid question. Recently I downloaded the sims 3 and 4 for my wife to play on my pc while I’m at work and she’s been having a problem where the monitor says there’s no input even though she can hear the in game audio. Also, the fans speed up to what I can only assume is 100%. It doesn’t make sense since the CPU temp is only like 45 C and the GPU demand is only like 30%. Trying to figure out wtf is happening

i can find 2 solutions, one, update gpu drivers. 2 go to sims folder, find options.ini and open it in a text editor, find resolution, and set resolution to the resolution of your monitor

yeah i would try updating drivers first, if that doesnt work, try to change the resolution manually. if its set at 720, set it to 1080. if its set to 1440, set it to 1080. if its set to 1080, set it to 1440. see if that works. if it doesnt work at 1080, try at 1440 or vice versa.

It's not far superior. It's on par with or slightly behind. nice thing about AIO's is the CPU heat goes directly out of the case in an exhaust configuration. A big air cooler in a case like the H510 isn't advised due to poor airflow.

no my opion is from my own exerpince. when using the water cooler it had got heat socked, and refused to cool further, where as the noctua was easily able to keep temps the same the entire time. I watch gamers nexus.

The CPU cane out stuck to the cooler. I even ran stress tests before removing it to soften the paste but it was stuck. I didn’t see any damage to the pins though

@cedar portal See, my problem with "so far" is that bad things can still happen. Kinda go by "Just cuz it hasnt happened before doesnt mean it's impossible. Example: me dying. I have yet to die yet Im still perfectly capable of dying". Im a bit of a PSU person, making sure you got a decent PSU that'll be good and such.

i dont think so. the area around where the mounts are should be free of anything that could break so unless theres like an actual crack i wouldn't expect it to. it could have also been shorted on the underside of the board somehow but unless you removed the mobo i doubt thats the issue too
