my recommendation would be that you try and get a new mainboard
as in, new all the things
because yes, technically you MIGHT be able to get things working.
It’s not mine actually, it’s someone else’s. But I will tell him anyways
but you end up with parts that are useless for anything but that system
we are entering the "middle age" of DDR4 as a standard
I agree
and that board is from when ddr3 was new
yes, and before he tells you that he can keep his psu. no. no he cannot.
I will be sure to warn him
only things that might be worth keeping are the case, monitor, keyboard, mouse.
the rest i would look at very seriously and very sceptically
best of luck with it @ember sierra :)
Thank you
I have a question concerning the AMD freesync
Despite my GPU being a 1660ti, would that hinder my monitor in any way? Since it doesnt support g sync, but radeon amd free sync instead
Is it free sync compatible?
Most freesync monitors work. But that doesnt mean all
But Idrk how I could test if its actually working or the settings are lying to ya
Do research on the specific monitor you have/going to get about if it's gsync compatible (note: that may not be in the specs and may have to take some random consumers/person word for it)
what does "freesync" even do? I have G-sync and I have no idea what it even does
Freesync is the non-proprietary version of Gsync
Here ill just post my build
Thee bottomline was
would it affect perfomance
Since i cant use the AMD free sync due to my gpu
Why not? Any 10 series or higher nVidia can use Freesync
Since January of last year
It is compatible
The gpu i have and then the monitor
nVidia supports it for a year now
yes
in the MOnitor menu and the nVidia control panel
From january of 2019
my only comment on the build would be the SSD
A Sabrent Rocket 1 TB NVME is cheaper and faster. $119
Samsung is 500 MB/s vs 3600 MB/s of the Rocket
I thought the standard rocket was around the 2000-2200, the PCI-4 one was faster.
Oh for some reason the listing on Amazon was suddenly bumped up from when I last read it.
Thats fun
I was looking at the normal rocket originally, didnt pay attention to the Q.
The PCI4 one looks fun but too expensive.
I guess Ill just buy it over the WD Blue SN550 anyway
The blue is £20 cheaper atm, its TLC and 2400MB/s read speeds, Id assume write is proportional, I cba lookign it up atm.
write is probably 1800-2000
Normal people dont need more than 2000mb/s
I am not a normal person.
Lol
@muted patio @gentle bay You need to do research to make sure that the monitor is gsync compatible. Not all freesync monitors will work well. Most will however
Also is that a new build that you're getting parts for?
If so, that is quite unbalanced and the mobo isnt that great for the price
Reason: Bad word usage
Also please dont tell me you bought that GPU for $300
Can you return it?
@gentle bay would you rather have a blatant lie that serves no purpose and teaches you nothing?
just because you dont like the reality does not mean it stops being reality.
If you are still within the return period I do suggest returning it and getting an RX5700
aggreed
i bought an rtx 2060 super for streaming
but if your only looking for straight gaming performance
5700xt all the way
What does windows do if you yank a harddrive out of a prebuilt and try to boot off of it in a new system? I understand you'll need a new license and just starting from scratch would be better from a driver perspective, but do they let you boot all the way into windows and then crash after a trail period? Give you the annoying "please pay for this" pop up? or is it straight up "Nope"?
Most of the time just a reactivation is necessary if it's WIndows 10
Windows 7/8 aren't so likely to just boot.
For example, I changed from Intel to AMD and my Windows 10 booted up but i had to reactivate by logging into my account
gotcha, is the chip where windows draws the line on "ship of Theseus" upgrades? Or the motherboard?
That only applies to OEM WIndows installs, such as from Dell or HP
thank you for the info
Anyone have suggestions for a 1300-1600 budget
ryzen
What are your main workloads? Gaming or workstation type of stuff like video editing, cad etc? Do you stream?
Do you care about aesthetics at the sacrifice of some performance?
Futureproofing?
@loud apex
This was a $1300 streaming build I had saved. If you don't stream, change the GPU to an AMD 5700XT
That CPU feels a little overkill
For the GPu.
GPU*
Would a 3600 + 2070S go with that price?
Not for a streamer, they'll most likely be re-encoding to upload to YouTube also
I think you could do that combo
Its still an x570 in the process though so perhaps you're right for the better processor, 2060S screams of "Thisll need upgraded far faster than any other component" and a better processor on an x570 allows someone to just buy a better GPU years down the line, stick it in and no hassle have a much better gaming rig.
Well, it's a place to start, not end all be all. Also, I lost my other lists when I reinstalled my OS because they were just in Notepad++ and not actually saved
Super stupid move on my part
Thanks for all the help
Add another one?
I like this build a little more, slightly worse CPU, less futureproof mobo, but storage for days and a 2070S over a 2060S and especially 5700XT
I think the 4tb WD blue is the same price as a 2tb 7200rpm WD Black?
I think the CPU is good for me since I do some cpu intensive things
Such as?
I dont think the 5400 RPM drives matter as much over 7200 tbh. It doesn't make a massive difference when a 1TB m.2 SSD can store so many games you commonly play.
You'd really need to play more than 10 60gb+ games for a 1tb m.2 drive to not be enough to get all you play on.
Ye an ssd is really good
Therefore 5400 RPM HDDs for file storage isnt that noticable.
Does anyone else put their windows on an ssd
Everyone that has one
Anyone who owns an SSD puts windows on SSD.
Put windows on the NVME
The m.2 drive of course being 4-6x faster than a conventional 2.5" SSD
Depends on the m.2
you're talking about 2060s being bad for future proofing but id imagine its going to be fine for at least another 4 or 5 years. my 970 still handles games at 1080p at at least 60 fps no problem. at least on the games i play lol
Windows is supposed to go on a SSD
Or above 60fps
heck you could even put windows on a SSHD and it will still load faster lol
what?
Its a mix, better at gaming for longer, or more futureproofing but need to change the GPU out a lot faster for a better build.
Destiny 2 you could get over 200
Minecraft you could get over 400
lulz
Lol, minecraft.
But srsly, you going to stream or game?
yeah 2060 should be more than fine for most things unless you're trying to 4k 144 hz on the latest AAA
I don't remember benchmarks to the best of my ability, but games my 2080S got 140ish hz in at 1080p, the 2060S got around 110 and less
I wish I became a pro UT player.
I will game and make character models for my game
2060 is 135 FPS in Siege 6
But anyway, that $1300 build leaves you room for other things to get to $1600
Can it run crisis tho
RGB, different case, monitor
are you sure it wasnt bottlenecked by something
mouse, KB
iunno crysis might be a bit much
R6S you're supposed to get close to 150 fps
Ye
Oh yeah you bought that before the supers release, right?
pretty sure it says 2060 not 2060 Super
If I get a 2080 I know nvidia will announce a new gpu
What about minesweeper
OVER 9000!!!
get a 2080 so they will announce a new gpu so we see a drop in 2000 series so i can get one
Lol k
I was so pleasantly surprised, I got a 2080S and 3950x forgetting CES was coming up the week they all arrive, and none of it was rendered obselete by CES announcements at all
I was prepared for it to be obseleted for less the minute I bought it
ehhehhhh there is a reason sshd didnt catch on
Seagate are the only ones still making SSHD, and they are seagate so why buy them anyway.
I LOVED the concept of SSHD back in the day.
wasnt sshds slower but similarly priced as ssd?
5500rpm
A 1tb HDD was £40ish like 4 years ago, an SSHD was about £60, so it was not far off at all price wise. A 1tb SSD back then was still 200 or so
I remember the 10,000 RPM Raptors. wanted one so bad, then SSD's made them extinct
Emerald you're looking at the 2.5" model lol
10k rpm bruh
Anyone remember the 20k rpm
They seemed like a solution for a problem m.2s forced the price down enough to stop existing,.
and also the 2.5" model is 5400RPM
Im curious if SSDs came down in price because of M.2 technology, or if they just advanced enough to rapidly drop in price per GB on their own.
Also i still have a hybrid drive in my system and it is 7200RPM
thats the 3.5 yeah?
Press f for everyone that bought a best buy gaming p
yep
gaming p?
Press F in chat if you have syphillis.

S
2020
dont buy unless its open box and discounted by more than half
I was going for sucks,
Lol
i buy open box from them all the time
I found a vega 64 for 400 on new egg
Well we went for CES 😛
too much
Nice link
oof nah
Except it isnt to a build.
But still booting into windows with a SSHD is about 17 seconds which is still pretty fast
you have it stored in cache we dont we need the share link
oh
If u dont close ur pc u never have to boot
Yeah, we do need the share link.
^^
how would one get you the share link
Well if you can afford high power bills as well you never have to close
i mean a pny ssd is 17 dollars why not buy one for a boot drive
If I were you Id just open the oven door and dive right in.
Mine's electric.
I really should get my heating fixed.
youd need a gpu to run that pc
That m/2 is overpriced
get a larger psu
Remove coolet
You can get a 500gb in a better brand for the same price
Get rid of the seagate drive and replace ti with something like a WD drive, trust me
woops i was looking at something completely different lol
crucial p1 is 99.99
lol i was gonna say i have a gpu
1tb
Nothing is wrong with Seagate though
are the speeds good emerald
wb blue 1 tb is 49.99 also
im not gonna use the m.2 for storage its for booting
I dont know if thats a good cooler for the 5700 XT, but the Powercolor Red Devil is actually cheaper and known as one of the best solutions for it you can get.
ok
get a small cheap ssd then pny has a 120 gb ssd for 17.99\
Sabrent Rocket has a faster 250gb m.2 drive for a decent amount less.
If you want the 4-6x faster speeds over a conventional SSD
5700xt is a hit or miss still for people
I made a pc using papdr
To be fair 250gb is still enough for OS + a few select games you play a lot.
Seagate's Momentus XT was their first Hybrid drive and i used it on my system for a good 5 years and i never had issues
yah
I know nothing about that case, but I dont remember that PSU placing anywhere decent on the PSU tier list
You'd have to look into that
ok i will probably change the psu cause corair psu are not the best i have had many friends go up in smoke and they have each build a good amout of pcs
Corsair have some good ones you just need to know which ones are good
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev. 6.9 welcome to the brand new PSU Tier List! Created and maintained by @Princess Luna, @DatTestBench, @Stefan Payne, @GreatMasterAden, @PSUGuru, @Ave with a model o and @LukeSavenije Last Update: 07-01-2020 Tiering of various units is opinion based off r...
yeah
You can look there, or @ Hei as he seems to be the best guy to ask for PSUs
idk i think it was the older cx or something
If you're also going with Ryzen you have StoreMI which would merge the SSD with a HDD to make a type of hybrid
Ok
There has a been a little bit of confusion as to what StoreMI is and how it works. AMD asked us to explain it to you guys in our very "Gear Seekerish" way to help you understand what it is. So that's what were gonna do.
►ASRock Phantom Gaming GPU's - https://grsk.co/phanto...
this is why i talk to people i learn new things everyday and my mom says talking to strangers online is bad pfffh
A tier without even looking before i built lol
Are you sure we're actually good
lol on here you are i cant speak for you daily habbits
Honestly you can't trust half the people you speak to but at least in this discord you'll get a more correct general consensus
I'm not impressed with how Stor Mi works. It seems like a constant read/write process moving files around.
again im getting mixed signals
Why is ram so god damn cheap in the US
@muted patio my cousin is quite happy with it since he is using a 120gb SSD and a 500GB HDD
3000mhz kit is like 74.99
pretty much 620gb merged
In the UK, these are the prices of 16gb 3600mhz CL16 ram
corsair vengeance lpx
Someone told me to put water on my pc to make it cool better
These are the ONLY models available. Over 75% of them are out of stock and no indication of returning
Been like this for weeks
I use water cooling
that same z neo kit i paid 90 dollars for
Btw that neo kit isnt 136, the website its on is dodgy
161 is the cheapest price there
ooof
Custom loops that cost a LOT and involve risk + skill > Good air cooling > All in one water cooling
AIO water cooling is kind of bottom of the barrel if you want performance + longetivity over just looks
That's a bit false
Or an awful air cooler like a stock intel perhaps
a good AIO is better than air
a 32gb kit would run you 140 us
Clean ur pc unless u want to store and eat the dust
yes
maybe they are making the memory modules somewhere in the us
The thing is, C18 ram is a similar price as it is in the US
16gb 3600mhz CL18 is £67. The same but CL16 is £161
c16 or c14
@muted patio everything pretty much has a potential risk
i cant even oc my ram past 3066
what
You know what 😉
^ Are you hitting on him?
^ YES
I wasn't talking about risk?
@tight bluff would you say 700w is enough for the build i posted
700W seems overkill
ok 650
more is better imo
I dont remember your build one bit because Ive had a bit too many whiskies, but 700 seems overkill
I kinda wish my ram had better oc headroom
My xmp wont post so theres that
You were what, 3600 and 5700 XT? Can get away with a 550W and thats decently safe, could probably pull a 650W but it'd probably blow your budget to get a decently rated one.
I oc my rgb
yeah
I need to go to bed, about to collapse, goodnight my lebanese friends. Always good making sweet tension with you.
Gn
S die
I stayed awake to see that joke
Jesus died so that I could see @stoic island continue to be unfunny
Goodnight guys
Minus danon
Bad night
micron a mile tomorrow
i dont know what i came back to see
I wish I had gotten samsung b die
but the model I have but with b die would've been twice the cost
i regret it sorta
Dont be
Is this RX 5700 worth it?
I mean at around that price you might be able to just fit in a 5700xt
I dont want the xt for size issues
I hope it fits
Would it pair up with my current build? lets just replace the 1660ti with either the MSI RX 5700 or the MSI RX 5700 XT
uh
I guess
but i planned on doing
2 front, 2 top, 1 rear, 1 bot
top and front take air in
rear and bottom out
is that a bad idea
Yes
You're fighting heat
Heat rises, use the top and back for exhaust
and bottom and front for intake
ok
So 3 in, 3 out?
Rear and top out
Bottom and frontside of the case for air intake?
That sounds great
Hmm okay
What do you think is the projected life of the build?
(replace the 1660ti with a MSI RX5700 XT)
sabrent rocket q isnt the best
what is the best
the tlc version would be better
^^^^^^^^^^ that one
so that will work with my board
Hey bek
Ya
Im kinda worried
Also basically all NVME M.2 SSDs will work with your board
ok thanks
you have 2 slots of key M
Would my monitor sorta bottleneck performance?
I never used m.2 before
Lets just say that I replaced the 1660ti with a MSI RX5700 XT
It was bottleneck how nice it'll look
What
MOnitor isn't going to bottleneck performance lol
You'll still be pushing xxx frames per second
like if you have a crappy 360p monitor, even though your GPU is capable of doing much more, you would still see really bad graphics
and is this video card good https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-gtx-1660-06g-p4-1067-kr/p/N82E16814487448?Item=N82E16814487448
okay
hey @muted patio
Makes sense
also refresh rate
Im fine with a 75Hz IPS
Good is objective. For 1080p gaming, 1660 super is fine
ok thanks
Huh
Oh
send me the link and i will switch it in my cart
You could get a higher refresh rate monitor
is tehre a reason your getting a 75hz monitor?
since your graphics card would be powerful enough to put out 100+ frames
Ah
and since your getting the rx 5700xt its gona put out mroe frames
your screen would be "limiting" your experience to only "seeing" 75 frames
5700xt is faster than the 2060 super
I see
i got a 165hz monitor
since 75hz is basically 75 fps it can display
and works perfectly
yea
okie dokie
i play all high on fortnite
and i get 165hz
Wait only up to 75 fps
2
165 frames
2 fans
75hz -> 75fps
So like even if i play something crappy like league itll be capped at 75?
Eh, no
but you wont feel a difference
your fps wont be capped\
but do i risk tearing?
Frames would be whatever they are
okay
but it would only see 75 fps
Monitor would only display 75 per second
but display wont be any diff?
^
Oh
and this is has dvi
So i basically played myself
and this has dvi
yes remember
K, it has it
it shows it does
there is a AOC 144hz monitor thats quite cheap is there not
Yes, DVI< it has it
so get this card
ye
Well snap
if you want a 1660
Sigh looks like i have to make a few returns.
?
Thats fine Sung Hyun
Sung
i made a return to amazon
and they didnt send me my money back for 16 days
so if they send you your money back instantly you should be good to order right away
Yeah, i asked a rep about their return policy
Which wont happen
It takes up to 7 to reach a amazon center
3-5 days to process the refund—typically
yup
yeah
but thats fine
So lemme get this straight
Yes, that's a good case
Is it worth going to a MSI RX5700 XT/ or MSI RX5700 from a MSI 1660ti?
One of the few with drive bays
ok
yes Sung
i use drive bays
For 1080p gaming?
5700xt is a beast for 1080p
i have a dvd drive that i use
Overkill for 1080p
here we go
i was aiming for 1440p
5700XT should be for 1440p
i have a question so i have just got 3970x coming tmr is my kraken x72 good enough too cool it?
then go 5700xt
Sung that means your gonna change your monitor
1660 afaik just wouldn't be a great experience for 1440p
get a 1440p panel
@stoic island input lag still makes a difference even if 60Hz/75Hz monitor. LTT already did a video on this
X72 is fine for TR
@cursive wharf I kinda just skipped that part bc I was just talking refresh rates at that time
I dont think I said input lag was not important at any time
should i worry about full IHS coverage on 3970x?
Alright so hypothetically, if i were to stick with the MSI RX5700 XT—should i just skip out on the IPS this time?
so my kraken be bad than?
You said that the card wasnt good as you tried to justify a card that run more at the 75Hz line. Which was mainly where I was saying that is a bit false
what
AMD recommends the Kraken X52, 62 or 61 series
So if you're getting a 3970x I'd recommend a change out
I wouldn't say bad
Personally, if it was me, I'd try it out and see how temps looked
ok
If temps were a bit high, I'd change it out
wait yeah you were
@muted patio can that video card handle any game
can you like re-word that bc I'm not getting your point here
I'm not a TR expert but I can look into it.
@stoic island I mean I didnt see any messages past that and didnt know that it was already sorted out so it doesnt matter. But you were trying to justify a monitor upgrade
@muted patio thanks i am just been super worried
@muted patio my total price for pc is $1340
@little osprey honestly, run the X72. I don't see an issue with seeing as how AMD recommends the smaller versions with the same pump and heatspreader coverage
also I might have the full situation here
Or we could just quit arguing about silly stuff, who's right/wrong, etc.
I'm making the Assumption that its recently bought/not bought yet, so within returns n stuff
uh oh cat fight
as in, they're not upgrading old monitor into new, they're choosing a new monitor
@little osprey if you're super concerned, the ML360 TR4 is a full coverage AIO. BUt personally, I wouldn't worry about.
wait which AIO was it with a bunch of corrosion failures? Enermax one I think?
Sad thing is that it was one of the best performers iirc
It was a good performer.
you would think they would fix it
Just needs a different fluid inside. They probably already have fixed it
enermax minus coolermaster is only full ihs coverage
They did make a v2, but same issue
That'd be a good choice for an air cooler. But like I said, the X72 uses the same pump and heat plate the X62, etc do. Should be fine.
yeah i will let you know i still waiting for cpu and mobo and new nvme storage i think my cpu is coming tmr and mobo and new drives friday
You have good paste right?
i have coolermaster thermal fusion
MX-4 or Kryonaught or something?
hole tube
Fusion 400?
So what kind of monitor Res would i go with for the MSI RX5700 XT? And which panel type?
1440p preferably IPS.
@muted patio its ice fusion from coolermaster
TN is fine just not from an angle
TN?
head on gaming it's great, from the sides it loses quality
@muted patio the cpus still come with tr4 bracket right for aios?
120-144
yikes $500 dollars for an ips
lemme just narrow it down
has anyone used Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 drives i ordered 4 wanted to get some other people opinions on it
3440 x 1440? or 2560 x 1440?
I would myself suggest 2560x1440 so not many issues if like older games scales not so well
yeah i am going raid 4 of them with addon card with msi creator board
not really care about speeds just wanted to make sure they good brand
i know all gen 4 drives used same controller and memory
@muted patio i have a question do i really have to use the fan control
What fan control?
because this case has it
You don't have to, you can use your motherboard fan headers
Depending on how many you have
@muted patio would this board be enough for 3970x? https://www.newegg.com/msi-creator-trx40/p/N82E16813144276?Item=N82E16813144276
hmm looks neat
i have someone putting in my liquid cooling
but I think i might look for a more friendly AMD Radeon Freesync monitor
but i will plug the front fan in power supply cable
should i take out those drives
Yeah that'd be enough for 3970x
Wait, front fan directly into power? No speed control that way
Raid drives will depend on your controller
i dont want speed control
So if the add in card is doing the RAID, grab that manual
Well, you'll need a 4 pin to molex or sata converter then
can't just plug a fan into the power supply
i think my case comes with it
i can't comment on that because I honestly don't know
depends on if they're PWM or just dc
yes
yea
thanks so much i been little worried its my first time doing TR build
upgrading from i7 6800k
do we know when we see more 256gb kits released?
some free sync monitor are g-sync compabile too
many claim to be
I bought the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case with tempered glass for an upcoming server build, so let’s find out what it’s got to offer and how it is to build in. This review will show you the important features and help you decide if the case is worth spending the money on.
C...
nvidia only said like 18 or smth like that was
nVidia has certified a couple hindred freesync mopnitors now
couple hundred*
holy typing lol
ah
@stoic island Yeah I think im gonna go with the RX5700Xt
When I looked it up a while ago I found it saying like nvidia only offically certified like 18 or smth
yeah it's like 200+ now
proby
oh I see
like my new alienware 240hz ips is cerfied for g-sync but i use HDMI since i use capture card
Understood
that fan looks like only 3 pin
yeah a lot can change in a year lol @stoic island
@muted patio do most cases have 3 pin case fans
damn my monitor not on there
Right
you need a 3 pin to SATA or Molex adapter depending on your power supply
Or to use the fan hub
a lot times as long monitor supports LFC its works fine with g-sync
i have a 3 pin that can plug into the power supply cable
yea I tried it before
same cable that plugs into thermaltake fans
but in games it had a wierd thing of the game detecting refresh rate at 143.98
and it was just annoying me
(with DP)
so I just went back to using hdmi and no g-sync
Yep, that's it
If your power supply has a Molex connector
Some new ones don't, so be sure and check
it does
There ya go!
Yes
and on my case is the ssd's expansion the bottom ones on my case
Should be able to mount the SSD in any of the 3.5" drive bays/trays
Yep, it will screw in through the bottom of any of those trays
ok so take out the top trays
Or you can mount it to the back panel also, I think
can i take off the power supply cover
@stoic island there is a lot more than that now cause i visited like the LG page and they have a lot more monitors that are compatible
I don't know about the PSU cover
It looks like there are thumb screws holding it in
you have to unscrew from the back is that right
Yes
i dont want to deal with the hassel
you know what i mean
and does my motherboard come with a 3.0 connector
Yes
I see
For that case i saw kyle deal with it which he just had to loosen one of the hinge screws to fit in the fan properly
i just want to take off that psu cover
Three screws on the back, it comes out
the PSU shroud?
how big will this case be compared to a mid tower
this case had horrible case management
Noctua fans ugly. But they move lots of air and are quiet
Noctua doesn't bother me it is just the orientation
wow
never have issues
except i had a bad stick of ram which kept my computer freeze constantly
so i took it out no more freezing
so i went from 16 to 8
you guys think noctua will make black coolers for tr4?
i dont see why not
Kinda doubtful, noctua typically doesn't do bling
you dony think so
i am just kinda sad we only saw mainstream get black coolers
well i get what you mean
how fast will my computer be with a m.2 as boot and ssd as storage
Faster than you can blink
fast
Very fast
10ish second boot time from cold
my pc righ now with just a m.2 not a nvme boots in like 13 seconds
im using an ssd right now as a primary
or 11 something like that
there pretty cheap
ahh im building a new pc soon and it will have a nvme

So I just installed 2 extra sticks of ram (of the same type) that were in my other PC. Now I can't get past BIOS. Error 0xc0000221. What's my next troubleshooting steps?
i was paralyzed for months
Have to admit just from the image it looks cool
Dood, I'm not joking. There's 7 right now. I swear tomorrow there will be 8
the guy is in prison for 11 years
Sounds like it
and i was told it was on camera
I'm very thankful to have only crashed on the track
i guess the signal light had a camera
Damn
i was told i was stopped and got it and he bent the frame
hit not it
they said he had to be going over 40
Man, I watch my mirros like a hawk at lights for that reason
It has saved my bacon three times time
I was able to get out of the way in time
i have punched so many mirrors because of almost getting hit
Help?
?
What's up cannibal?
So I just installed 2 extra sticks of ram (of the same type) that were in my other PC. Now I can't get past BIOS. Error 0xc0000221. What's my next troubleshooting steps?
That error happens in the BIOS?
i have punched mirrors off cars because of them not paying attention
That's a windows error
have you tried reseting the cmos?
lol
Well right after bios menu
thats a window issue
@little osprey you said he got 11 years in prison
thats what i was told
something isn't set right
Okay I'll look up how to do that, ty
YW
i got hit on a motorcycle
if that doesn't fix it come back
so you can see why he went to prison
Will do ty
well he "served" time learning english outside of a prison/jail
best thing about these modern mobo now is they come with clear cmos switch
That's negligence, yeah
yeah but he fell asleep driving and killed 2 people
Hey Bek, besides an IPS, what was the other panel type you told me to look out for
and nothing
damn
i was told he was looking down
PHONE
had to be
yeah he was form russia and didnt speak english so his time served was 1 year of learing our languge
OOF
Not enough punishment
nope
evening all 🙂
he was free after that
ohhh
yeah i snatched one last on newegg
nice
i was shocked it stock
yeah
yeah lol
my only complaint about new TRs is how expsive new boards are
Okay looking up cmos resetting they want me to do it manually on the Mobo? Is this correct? Sorry about being a noob
Yes
either remove the battery or short a couple of pins
With the PC unplugged from the wall
putting a new system together with tax return this year, posting link to amazon list. let me know what you folks think

wish i could .. tight budget
Then I'd go less on the NVME and a better GPU if you want to game
Or go SSD and a better GPU
if i can find a 5600xt for around the same price i wouild
i would ditch nvme or less amount like @muted patio
don't 5500xt beat 1650 super?
if you take like 20 out of the nvme you can get a better gpu
nevermind
i can find a 128 nvme with 500gb ssd, should be able to squeeze the 5600xt then
570 is a tad better than a 1650
it is
lemme try again
Oh wait
I was looking 1650 standard
1650 super is 25% faster
For $35
first build in like 15 years lol .. so im tryna do my research
ahh
I'd go 1650 super and a regular SSD
yeah it is
i think he means overall for rig
yep
K, hang on
i got case, PSU and other peripherals already
just nee mobo etc .. the "guts" of the machine
kk
don't worry @muted patio is best
not the best
really good
Others deserve that title lol
Well that was way easier than I thought it was going to be. Thank you!
lol .. i used to be in retail many moons ago .. been quite a while since i actually built a system from ground up
lol
LMFAO
lulz
the unicorn vomit cant ever be left out
Eh
thank you!
i feel like every pc part by 2020 just have rgb d:
i dont mind rgb i think it is a nice touch but when every thing is rainbow it is an eyesoar
will scribble that all into my budgeting so the wife isn't shellshocked by me changing stuff around lol
i like rgb for my gaming pc but on my workstation i turn that stuff instalstly off
yeah
a little RGB is ok .. puts a splash on things .. i have RGB on the case side panel .. has a 240MM super silent low pro fan on the plexi ...
yeah i think sooooooo
@cyan osprey Id wait in case Nvidia would announce it they are bringing out a new GPU this year before going for a 2060 super
3600 don't come with prism
i believe its a very common add on for AMD gear .. ive seen quite a lot of it
3600 non X comes with a Wraith Stealth
My 2700x came with one
Spire is 3600X
alright
ahh
Prims and Spire are RGB
O
i thought amd made only prims had rgb like last gens
im hoping to grab a samsung curved 24" wide for display .. local puter store has a couple of display models and im hoping they'll sell me half price
Good selling point for rgb fans D:
I have both a 3800x and a 2700x that came with the wraith
I have been thinking of replacing my cooler with the Prism
is the prisim only 3900x than?
@cyan osprey your pc is almost identical to mine lol
i like Horizontal coolers more than Vertical
I'm sorry I meant to type prism
lol
They both came with the prism
2700x had the prism? interesting
yeah it does
tbh only aircooling company i trust is noctua
Indeed
Oh wow, it does
Beige is the best
I think 1700 was the max
i was thinking about streaming so i was looking at that cpu and i remember it does
but i am not one for streaming
For streaming i would go for Nvidia for the GPU
