I dont see getting 9th gen being a bonus as I cant see Intel pricing their previous gen significantly lower than current gen. If you're going Intel get 10th
They never have priced older stuff that much lower
@woven horizon it is a decent system
is it actually cost efficient to go beyond a 3600X for gaming specifically?
my friend keeps saying if i have extra budget i should go for a 3900X
i was under the impression that beyond the 3600X the upgrades are mostly for productivity
Depends. A 3900x in many years will definitely cope better in terms of slapping in a new GPU to renew your entire experience. For now its productivity, for the future its a lasting PC.
But, in 5 years, what would the price of a used 3900x be? Under $200? Could just buy one then and swap it out if needed.
Yeah going from a 3600X to a 3900X is an extra $300
probably would rather just upgrade later on
Eww that wallpaper looked like Sao
lol
i like the anime
im nearly done with my setup. just need a good desk and a monitor arm
it is ok watching it the first time but it is the kind of anime you don't want to watch again in the future
isn't it just more isekai
in fact SAO seems like it started the isekai boom
and it's not slowing down
Well it has a massive cult following even to this day
yeah, i know, there were PS2 games and all
i was here for that but i didn't watch it
but i was here for the storm of popularity
I watched it and i would watch it again
i remember being 20 and the .hack games being really popular on PS2
like they were selling nearly as much as the final fantasy and shin megami tensei games
not surprised
i was playing shin megami tensei nocturne back then
i got the guide which is literally the size of a bible
along with the game
goto sleep already :p
so it was like $70
box there are times i just can't
if you lay down for a half hour and can't sleep you're just not going to do it
What is this sleep you speak of
sounds awful
Anni do you know what he is talking about?
sleep
I idon't do it anymore. oxy/nerve suppressant help
i get lots of sleep but most of it ends up being during the day
I bet Mike is still awake jumping all over the place after eating all that sugar
nah puddin needs his sleep
ew
No u
to many humans in one spot.
No u
Not enough boxes in Atlanta
No u
i tried to get the daytime sleepiness from my drugs out of the way by switching things around and now that i can't sleep at night i just sleep all day
He is the cops
no, he's actually helpful
Hi actually helpful I’m Jackson
hi Jackson.
hey guys
I just built build for my friend
is it good enough in its price range?
Hmmmmm
I would recommend getting a 80+ bronze or better PSU from a brand like Corsair, EVGA, be quiet etc. But that’s my opinion I guess
So that your rig doesn’t burn 6 months after building it
@latent bronze WDYM?
I can not stand cases that's don't have a PSU shroud.
morning all
iTek TAURUS BS650 - 650W
what about this psu?
Never heard of it
Corsair, EVGA, be quiet!, sometimes SeaSonic would be my best picks
might not have those options in poland.
yawns trying to figure out why my computer wont post ~_~
already checked ram and power connectors
Amazon ships to Poland normally / Newegg too
This is how I build - https://youtu.be/b85h_ujZ_vg
Today I show you how to build a computer. Building a computer has many advantages. For starters you will save thousands of dollars, you also have the freedom to modify it to your specifications & needs - so you don't end up paying extra for things you don't need & will never ...
I’m sure you can cop one decent PSU even though shipping might be pricy
HowToBasic a legend 🤣🤣
@glad hemlock is it a fresh build?
yes
components?
will it come on at all?
oh yeah
lights? anything?
probably need the gpu since the ryzen has no onboard graphics
i did not know that
thank you, brb
i dont need a harddive in it yet do i?
its still trying to make its way to my house lol
nah you should be able to get into bios
kk ty
rip
lol
i was so use for onboard graphics before, i completely forgot its not standard to have
Lol
it tells you though 😦
4th built computer btw
the ryzens will have VEGA on the box
Hey guys, is it true that January deals are better than Christmas and Black Friday deals?
probably
Hmmm, well my brother and I have a lot of Christmas money, and I'm about to get a job, so I want to buy stuff now for my PC.
nice
We both share a PC bc our other PCs broke down, and they weren't good PCs at all.
what you can do, is check prices now write em down and check every/other day
That sounds good.
Def do that cause theyll mark up msrp to make it look like a deal
ive saved at least 400 on my whole system this season
i agree dark. Tons of places do that
I hate when they do that.
i dont shop for computer parts enough to tell about newegg
Or the product may just be on preputal sale lol
They do that for Black Friday and it is annoying.
I don't shop on Black Friday.
When I bought my parts on Cyber Monday, it was disappointing.
Combined, we have $2k, but it is just a matter of convincing my brother to chip in bc he spends the most time on my PC as I'm a college student at dorms most of the time, and the PC is at home.
But honeys price history is handy, also Pcpartpickers is ok.
I have a budget of $900 in upgrades, should I wait for better CPUs and GPUs and get deals next January, or is the parts adequate now to be futureproof for my PC?
I used pcpartpicker's, it's quite nifty.
theres a new nvidia line coming out next year SOMETIME called ampere
last i checked no specs or usable info yet
what cpu u have now?
Ryzen 5 1500x
I dont get much FPS in CSGO and that game is CPU intensive
But I don't wanna just use a PC for gaming
I wanna code, video edit, photoshop, etc.
if fps isnt priority
Or do multiple at the same time.
ryzen 2700x
the ryzen stuff is where its at honestly
^
Ah, yes, ofc, bc that is the one you can overclock ideally right?
Bottom line, 3600 will have better gaming performance but the extra two cores on the 2700x will help with productivity
If you want to spend more i reccomended a 3700x, same amount of cores as 2700x but with alot better single core preformace
i went with 3700x myself
I want to spend more definitely, I don't want to have to upgrade in a while.
Spend more now for longer usability.
Then a 3700x, what gpu do you use?
1050 TI
fyi, depending on your motherboard, you may have to update your bios to make it compitible
Id updrade to a 2070s
2070 supers
Some people reccomend the 5700xt but im a nvidia fanboy and there software is great and turing is amazing
nvidia is still a good way to go
For sure
Oh right, I was about to ask about the 5700xt.
Like, what makes the 5700xt stand out compared to the 2070S?
Well the 2070 s is going to out preform the 5700xt, but the xt is much cheaper
last i checked the cheapest 2070s was 500 on the nose
By about 100 dollars usally
Oh wow.
Well, I have plenty of $, and I'm about to get more, so I think 2070S it is.

its about the 2070 super
only 5 or 6 months old
I thought the 2070S was newer or something.
benchmark testing
Don't keep saying you have a lot of money for your own benefit. Youll just keep upgrading your idea until you end up with a 3950x + 2080 TI
Well, it can be a slippery slope.
But I feel like my PC could be better.
It feels underpowered for the stuff I play.
In aussia dollars maybe
I want to get a 144 Hz monitor and I found some that are about $150
My system was £2200 with a 3950X + 2080S + 1tb m.2 + 4tb WD blue + Asus X570 TUF, 16gb 3600mhz CL 16 (will upgrade to 32 when I can afford it)
I think I will get that last.

theres the other
theyre long but usually in depth
A 2080TI instead of S would have been like 2500 total
The choice is yours but if your looking for longevity a 2070 s or 5700xt will perform well for a while.
And cpu, a 3600 will do great in cs but if you want the productivity side too a 3700x wouldnt be a terrible idea and budget a 2700x (i personally have used it and love it, what i have until i can get alhod of a 3950x)
Alright, thanks. How significant is the speed of RAM to the FPS in games?
And also to applications I use.
Not vey but it is important to ryzens preformace
Guys should I buy a $200 game if cumputer
Unity, roblox studio, anything coding-related like IDEs, photoshop, etc.
Can someone pls send me a video of one
When using an AMD CPU in CPU intensive games, most benchmarks I looked at showed that 3600mhz ram performance was 5-10% better than 3200mhz.
Dont forget about latency
Like 60-75 (in my country) vs 75-90 assuming CL16.
Also make sure you use an xmp profile.
^
Id definitely rate setting it in the bios so it actually runs at its advertised specs is the most overlooked things for people who don't know what they're doing. Which tbf was me not that long ago.
xmp profile... So where do you find that and how do you use it?
Its in the bios. Youtube videos are your best bet there.
Alrighty, I can make do with that.
Videos showing a Uefi/bios similar to the one you use will basically just tell you to go to a certain bit and select one option and thats about it.
Do you stream?
Yah most likely
I don’t want an amd card
Well, the 2060 for Ray Tracing is poo
Plus I’m gonna overclock
I* have one that I oc'd, didn't help a lot
The 2060 is good for NVENC for streaming and gaming but don't expect ray tracing on it. Just a word of warning
I just want over 120fps
5700xt can do that
And you are NOT getting 120fps ray tracing with a 2060, that would need like a 2080S or 2080ti
Hey need a bit of help I have no idea where the cords for my power supply go into my power supply
Dont have any harddrive so no need for that cord but everything else is confusing to me
Send a pic?
4+4 and 6+2
Huh, they are. I thought they were keyed differently, guess not
Still, can't screw it up
Kk
Hating a card becuase of the brand is kinda dumb
And if you want to stream and get good fps, a 2070 or 5700xt is gonna be a must. or a used 1080 ti
This is true
Also is there any reason you going with Intel at this point when amd cleary is on top performance wise
They just threw it in to say they had one
Intel is king for Gaming still
While AMD is king of multicore encoding/rendering, etc
NVENC will take care of the streaming
For pure FPS, Intel still wins
For everything else, there's AMD
Not by much tho, amd is catching up
I told him yesterday he should wait for 10000 series if hes dead set on intel
only a month or two
See what the preformance is like and if its a flop by the 9700k
Very true😂
I realllly want a 3950x but theres none in stock
Bu7t we need to see what the i5 series does
High demand low supply
I have exactly zero need for a 3950, i just stream, game and do light blender work
That's why I went 3700x
I currently have 2700x, still going very strong
Oh yeah, still a good processor
But that 3950 is such good value, 750 dollars for that performance
It's ridiculous lol
Honeslty amd is such a good spot right now
it makes me happy intel has some real competition
Is the 3800x even worth it?
I'm not looking to get one I'm jsut like bamboozled on why people buy it
wacc
Plus 3700x went out of stock so people bought 3800x
Weird
I got 3800x bc it was same price as 3700x during black Friday
IN that case it's OK
Yeah, i mean if you find deal that makes it the same price as a 3800x buy it but i wouldn't choose it over a 3700x at normal price
But I wouldn't recommend it otherwise
It was like 320$
Not worth the extra money
Im looking at getting 2080 ti to pair with my 3950x, i feel my 2070 might bottleneck
Resolution?
Im having a problem with lines appearing on my screen
1440p
Ehh, not sure it's worth the money
Drivers up to date? GPU getting hot?
they are up to date
Revert any gpu oc
what GPU?
5700 xt
Ill see once i can finally order a 3950, im also going to sell my current monitors in favor of dual ultrawides
Msi mech oc
^^
No, turn down the core 100mhz and see if it helps. Is that COD MW?
No
yea it is
it happens in basically every game
i dont notice it in game but in the menus
If it's not in game, it's probably a driver issue. The other thing is, MSI didn't do a very good job of cooling the GDDR6 and other components
Wait
The Mech OC I'm looking at now
Advertises a 1750 mhz core
And you're at 2024
Oh NM
It's a 5700, not XT
Still, the XT advertises 1925 mhz
Turn down the core clock to 1925 mhz
ok
I don't think that's how afterburner works with the coreclock and mem clock...
or is it different for the XT
cause I thought it only goes to 1,000
Nah,
low mhz?
Oh, that's idle speed tho
but still
Although, mV is at zero
Click the revert thingy
What do i do
Yeah, something funky there
In the middle
when i click it it brings core clock to 2024 and memory clock to 1750
Can you double check and reinstall the graphics drivers?
yea it does 2024 and 1750
Honestly, I would just uninstall afterburner and let the card do it's thing
See if that helps
Tho wouldnt afterburner oc still be set for the card?
You can check in the AMD software but it shouldn't
Without Afterburner running it doesn't do anything
Ya
that's mine idle
I'd uninstall Afterburner and use the AMD software
lol is my gpu broken
I don't think so
just uninstall afterburner
Ya
do you have anything else controlling the gpu?
seems like something is conflicting with it
Possibly the AMD software package
If that's installed and not just drivers
AMD Adrenalin
No

What should i do next?
Reboot
I have adrenaline 2020?
Check those stats in game
ok
Also check your in game FPS
170-200 fps highest settings
Ah
If all else fails you can try to file a rma
I forget 5700 XT's run hot
110C is junction max
Honestly, IMO, with this only happening in a menu it would seem like a game/driver issue
Oh wait its localised?
Especially with that FPS and no in-game artifacts. Does it do it with other games or Windows?
Oh
Eh
Then it might be gpu issue
Yeah, if it does it for everything it may be defective
You could try a DDU
and reinstall the drivers
how do i do that?
DDU is a driver wiper
Here you can Download Display Driver Uninstaller, this Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, with...
run that and then reinstall the drivers again
If that doesn't fix it, I would RMA the card
should i make a backup?
I never have
Uncheck nVidia stuff
Uncheck remove monitors
Uncheck show offers from Partners
Do you have an AMD motherboard?
Uncheck the driver filter then
Well
Leave that checked.
Windows will reinstall chipset drivers
Ya
It's not required but I would. That way you for sure get everything
L>ol, I did a dumb and oopsed out for a minute
I can't really see that pic
Clean and restart
Ya
What do I do now
Back in Windows 10?
Yea
reinstall adrenaline
Ok
And test in game. If you still artifact, I'd RMA the card
Who has tried to disturb my slumber
wut
Go 12.2
recommended
Ok
optional is like beta drivers
Could the problem be my monitor ?
i just connected a tv to my pc and the lines arent there
Refresh of TV? Refresh rate of monitor?
Set your monitor to 60\
lines still appear
Da hecc
im testing my other tv rn
Interesting
no lines
That is kind of odd IMO
I wonder if it's some kind of response time or setting issue in the monitor
i ordered a 144 hz monitor and its comming monday imma have to see whats up with that
how can i tell
If you're having trouble with hdmi, see if you have a dvi port
Aren't HDMI 1.4/2.0 cables literally the same tho?
Thought there wasn't really a difference between the cables, just the ports
But faulty cables can still happen
No artifacts on TV though
I think the ports backwards compatable
I mean like, just try a different port type, like dvi and see if it works
I'm not sure the cables are due to different bandwidths and Data vs no data
Apparently some thought it was due to refresh rate. If so have you tried down clocking the monitor?
Has he tried a different cable or no?
NOt yet, they're looking
It's just odd that it only affects game menus and not actualy in game play
5700 XT
Uhhhh
already did a DDU and reinstall
does he have freesync on it?
Didn't ask,. I assumed not since monitor was only 75hz
Because it might mess with it
Isn't that a display port only thing though? i'm not well versed in that
Could be due to menus usually running at different refresh rates than actual game. With fressync it can maybe have an effect
Some fressync works on HDMI
The hdmi says High speed HDMI cable with ethernet USTC
This is wonky have fun with this lmao
Do you have Freesync on or a Freesync monitor?
Usually is more more expensive to do it over HDMI tho so generally DP is used
nah its not free sync
Ok, rules that out
Freesync isn't even an option with my htmi cable
i think when i got this it was the cheapest one on amzon
@stoic island it is, just rare
Yea its not with mine
I mean at this point we are down to a monitor issue then. You would think it would have the same issue on a TV if it was a GPU or cable issue
Although it may be related to response time also. TV's generally have slower response time than monitors
Have any iGPU?
X570 mobo so no
At this point, OP has a new monitor coming Monday
I say wait and see what the new monitor does
Pretty sure it's not a bad GPU
I'm calling stumped on this one. Wait for the new monitor.
I want to know the best companys for pre builts for a gaming computer less then 2000$
Main gear
Is that prob the best
I was looking at Ibuypower but I heard stuff that they dont do a good job
Linus tech tips did a great video comparing different companies, main gear was great. Ibuypower has better deals i suppose sometimes
Yeah i watched some of that
Omen Obelisk has good hardware also. So does the Corsair vengeance 5182
^
(You could also build it yourself ;))
I have a pre built from digital storm rn but i want an upgrade and they are expensive
Yeah i know i just dont want to risk messing up on a build since its expensive
Orgin is expensive
and i dont mind paying the price for them to build it
Main gear
Any of yall know much about ironside or whatever its called
Im telling ya, there a boutique like origin and do great work
They do good work.
No
im on main gear now im looking
Can i link the pre built from ibuypower to make sure its good?
Ye
Yea
Yee
Thats what im looking at right now
I have 240 selected
Your gonna want more storage
The above link has 120MM AIO checked
Oh selections dont save in the url
Yeah im buying a seperate hard drive
AH
Ok
I dont like the look of that pc :p
Also, go 650 watt or larger PSU
The black and rgb doesnt look great imo
Absolute minimum is 550 so go up a bit if you can
But other than that it looks good, exept for maybe a 700w psu
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x, GTX 2070 super 8 gb, 32gb Drr4 ram 3200, 240mm cooling, 1tb ssd
32 Gig ram is overkill for just gaming
You prob want better ram
Can save some money there
3600mhz c16 if you can
Yeah i stream to lol
^
Streaming is done with NVENC
What is that lol im kinda a nood lol
I stream and only have 16 GB ram just fine
3600mhz c16?
Not an option there :p
exactly
3600mhz ram works best for ryzen 3rd gen CPUs
Build your own
Im scared to builf my own so that why i build my own on the website
Build your own gives a lot more options tbh
Youd save so much money
Dont be scared
Theres a tone of great videos
Its not hard
Yeah i havent done it before and i dont know anything about comoputers clearly
Its literally just slotting stuff in

This video will walk you thru it all
Ok then
Op doesn't wanna build, so we go prebuilt
Aww
I dont trust myself and it cost so much for me to make a mistake and mess up soemthing up
and it should be good
NO worries
I Just dont want to build it
Nice build but OP wants pre-built.
How about this
You buy the parts and have a friend put it together.
😉
I dont have a friend that can build a computer
Ok, no problem then
Let's see what Mr. 1111 comes up with
Well, ill look at omen
There's this one too
Step up your game with the stunning CORSAIR VENGEANCE 5182 Gaming PC, boasting an Intel® 9th Gen Core™ i7-9700 eight-core CPU, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2070 Super graphics, and 16GB of high performance DDR4 memory. Compatible with CORSAIR iCUE
It does. But if you aren't going to overclock
Ehh
And let's face it, OP is unlikely to upgrade components
So is Ibuypower not an option lol
Ah right
Just giving you options
Ehh, I like building PC myself, idrk how prebuilts should be priced, I'm just picking at the specs
Well thats gonna be wierd
Just make sure it matches exactly the RAM that's in it
Because ^
^^
Yep ill show you
Same ram as IBB
So the I buy power is a good computer?
I would say so, for a pre-built
Upgrade gpu to 2070s and ram, tota comes to 152
1520
Oh hey, that's a nice one too
Pretty good actually
@regal forge

Check out above CyberPower
Im looking now
Yea lol
Im at family christmas so im not at the pc
Make sure for 240mm if water cooling
What graphics card is in it
Afaik 120mm isnt worth it
120mm AIO is poo for the Ryzen CPU's
(Hey I think you can prob afford to slot in a rtx 2080super in there)
nevermind got it
Its 5700xt but you can change it on ths sitr
Good unless OP is streaming
I thiught OP streams?
I do stream
Ah
But I stream on the pc i play on now and is not good
OP has a 2000 budget, maybe slot in a 2080 if it allows?
So put 700 watt power supply in as well?
get a 750 txm
I mean I would say if you're going on a budget go with amd, unless you're going to be streaming off of the gpu
He said hes streaming
Do that
True, but you can put the strain on your cpu
The memory is low frequency but with the saved money buy seprate ram ad we can help you install it
Why? Let the GPU do the work. NVENC is sooooo good
Because if you have a budget, a good cpu is cheaper then a good gpu
We are $400 under OP's budget
Lol
Op said $2000, Dark built for $1600
what is he looking to stream in? 1080p?
1850 with the 2080s
Im putting stuff ill send sc of whats in it
with left over mony to buy good ram and swap
That's like the ultimate streaming rig for less than $2000
That is good ram
Like 3200 is fine, I would suggest 32 gb of ram though
Its like open case, open the clips, take sticks out, push new sticks in until click. Done
3600 mhz would be ideal
I must go to the next Christmas i have here the build to go off, brb
I suggested it cyberpower has not good selection
Ye get cheapest cyperpower option, then add some Trident z neo ram
And let OP buy their own ram
3200 is just fine though, I just suggest you get 32 gb of ram
Not for Ryzen. Need to get that Fabric Clock as high as you can
Yeah but If you're streaming that 16 gb of ram is going to give you hell
3600mhz cl16 32gb ram
not really
I'm assuming you have two displays? and you use chrome for chat?
You can get the same kit as mine
i do fine with 16gb
Two displays? chrome as chat?
yee, expect i use firefox lite
I do some video editing on software that likes to eat like 20 gigs of ram
For editing, yes, get more ram
Thats why I have 32gb
For just streaming, nah
I would say it'll give you hell because 1. chrome, 2. streamlabs obs can eat ram,
I have 32 just in case
Stupid question again lol how do i sc
Yea
If Cyberpower doesn't offer it, buy your own and install it
So i cand send specs
the 3600
Prntsc top right of your keyboard
Press it when you want to screenshot
Then ctrl v it into the chat
PrScr key
ALT+PrScr key for a single window
like ALT+PrScr gets JUST this window
Get the basic ram, swap for 2080s and buy ram and add
Ok
And also go to the cpu freebie part and select the "the outer worlds OR borderlands 3"
right now im under budget without the upgarded graphics card
Thanks for all the help guys
Appreciate it alot
Dont forget to buy the good ram
That CPU really likes 3600 mhz
Thats the ram
(I thought we were selecting bad ram on the cyperpower and buying good ram from newegg)
So if you can, get the cheap stuff and install your own 3600 mhz if you can afford it
Ahhh ok so get bad ram and buy good ram gotcha
3600 CL16 is what you should look for
okay is that the best right now?
I have this because it looks amazing
Thanks agin guys appreciate all the help!
So if you are gonna buy a pc without a hard drive and buy new ram. Why not just build it?
@regal forge $1700 for a 3700x, 32gb RAM, and 2070S?
Hei they're set on buying prebuilt btw
that's like $500 - $600 overpriced iirc
OP is not building their own, it's not an option
They dont care for paying more
a bit much for a prebuilt
Find abetter one
Its cheapest we can find
What does OP mean
Original Poster
Maingear corsair etc were too expensive
Not at all
This the cheapest I have found
What's that brand on newegg... ABS?
I understand its prob overpirced but i dont feel comfortable building one
And is the cheapest that they were able to help me find with the best specs
3000 MHZ Ram? blech
Taking a quick look, cant find anything like what we've gotten from the cyberpower build
We dont want 5700xt sincr were making streaming build
Yeah, the ABS that does is open box
get a cheapish one with a good PSU and mobo, then upgrade RAM/Storage?
What Mobo do they use?
And OP wants it to be prebuilt and doesnt want to have to make modifications
Well, except RAM lol
If they wanted to mix and match a lot they would go build it themselves
dont know, got to look at chipset in specs then look at pics
X570 plus
well RAM/Storage upgrade is certainly easier than a whole build
In the cyberpower build
Need a bit of help my PC isn't starting just got done building
Isn't starting in what kind of way?
But it's also open box
Ps is on I can here is
AND x470
Button start on the case
Like lights aren't coming on, no signal from graphics card, or turning on then off
Nonthing is turning on besides the power supply
Oh make sure the bunch of connectors at like the bottom right of the mobo is correctly plugged in
Also make sure to flip the switch on the back of the power supply to turn it on
AsRock x470 Master/AC
Yea that
Yah I made sure of that
PSU is on?
That was for the prebuilt, is this still the topic?
Ima be helping this guy yall do your thing
Remove that "remove before starting" plastic thing lol
Main issue with the ABS prebuilt is idk PSU
Uhhh
that's completely blocking the chipset fan
I wonder if that's causing it because the fan can't spin
CPU power 1 is fine, onnly needs the 8 pin
dont need that extra 4 pin
Because he has it plugged half into cpu 2
In my board, its 4+8, and the left is extra
I'm saying to plug the connector into the main 8
Really?
Ye
Yah it's in the main 8
But definitely remove the plastic cover on the fan @rigid spade
I cant quite read it :p
Yah I did
K
Mobo power plugged in?
so what happens when power button is pressed?
Nonthing
PSU fan goes?
Change wall plug location real quick?
cuz you did say "Nothing is turning on besides the power supply"
Just need to know
Still nonthing
Nope
Lemme try something the case came with extra power switches and stuff lemme see if that works
Still didnt work
Brand new build?
Yup
CMOS?
the watch battery on the mobo
I was going to recommend un0plugging 24 pin connector from the board. Connect the GREEN and any BLACK wire with a bent paperclip. That will manually turn the PSU on. If it turns on, bad mobo. If it doesn't, bad power supply.
I only have this PSU
But only if you're comfortable with that
That's why my test...will isolate motherboard and PSU
Yah I tried another switch to turn it on
Cuz some mobos have a built in safety feature with short circuiting. But you have to do a complete reset for it to turn on

never would do that
