Finally downloaded borderlands 2 vr and tried to play it today after buying it on black friday. Game doesn't work. It runs smooth as butter on my monitor view but only shows about 10fps in my headset. Left eye stops tracking or just turns black sometimes too. I was excited to play it.

I didn’t used to have problems with it. And it’s the only software that’s crashing, my laptop should be able to handle it. Dark souls isn’t particularly demanding but for some reason it’s struggling.

it might be driver related, but my friend had an issue similar in DS3, try playing in borderless windowed mode.

the recommended spec is the r5 2600 but ive heard the r5 1600 runs just as fine, i ran vr on an amd a8-6600k which was a 2 core that acted like a 4 core apparently (not sure how true that is but it shows as a 4 core apu) and it ran mostly fine. bigger games had major issues but im also playing on the og rift which is much lower resolution than newer vr, so if you're getting newer VR hardware i def recommend getting as close to recommended as possible if not higher

I got 4c/4t. Idk if it affects the tracking. But it does make the controllers "shake" or "jitter" and I'm hoping that upgrading my cpu will fix that problem

and i had that problem too, as well as trouble setting up the rift in the beginning, and certain games had major lag issues. i upgraded the ram mobo and cpu (only notable thing is CPU) to 2600 and bam all my issues were solved lol

but then i tried it on my dads pc which had a 8700 and 1070 and it was literally like AMAZING

one last note @unborn maple giraffes build has a b450 board, mine was x570. x570 is more future proof as it has pcie 4.0 and will likely work for many more generations of amd processors, but b450 is fine for the 3600 too.

Hey guys. Just curious, I'm about to purchase my first gaming pc ever and It just occurred to me. Short of running ethernet all the way through my house..how do I get wired internet in my bedroom? There is a CoAx post in here if that helps

I mean maybe if one end of the coax is in the router and the other in the pc via adapter, but idk much about how coaxial to ethernet works.
other options would include running it through your house like down a hallway or through the walls like I do which can also be a pain. If you are desparate and the pc doesn't have wifi you could use another device to share wifi through, I do this with my pc through a mac and I think Tomie uses a phone @warm spade

yes, base stations are better for tracking, but only behind you
oculus rift s covers everything except your back
which you rarely put your hands behind yourself, so it works to the point where you dont notice a difference
