2070 SUPER is going to be more efficient at the very worst
well not a lot of difference but still
your point is? you paid the same price for an older, WORSE card, which you see to be a deal.
i don't care about that
if theyre the same performance id rather get the rtx 2070 super cause it has faster memory and is newer tech
doesn't matter. that's like saying i had a 1990 car and got this 2000 car when i could have gotten a 2008
exactly.
Idk dude. I ran it by alot of people. I can still technically return it if I like. It's not even here yet.
I may look more into super if it's really that great
you based your opinions on ebay purchases and troll posts about running cards for insanely long periods and breaking them.
you should be fine with that card but like i said, it's no deal by any means
i basically consider the supers the new TI lol
I don't like the name.
i like TI better
I based it on relevancy for price point and time between now and when I upgrade. And it just made sense lol
Actually. If you check the going rate it's right about 500. If you seriously think the NAVIS And SUPERS. Are going to cause a 20% cost gap on a still relevant card I'd have to argue your market analytics. That's all.
you can't argue on something that hasn't happened yet.
i'm repeating myself in bigger letters since we have trouble understanding here, STOP looking at ebay
and because you paid $504 for that card, i'll link you to this as well https://hardforum.com/threads/fs-zotac-rtx-2080-amp-600-bnib-surface-pro-5.1982529/
now tell me that's a deal?
i'm sure i can find a number of others like it down there
go properly look for yourself, i'm not buying a card for my own here you know
Lol. I just dont think there are any
ok so my issue is im gaming on my 4k tv which is good and all but i want to game on a 144hz or higher monitor. im buying a computer desk on the 3rd but my question is to get started should i go with a cheap 144hz 1ms 1080p monitor for temporary use (on a budget) till i can afford a 1440p gaming monitor with gsync? the 1440p will be over 300 and id have to save for few months, if i buy the 1080 for now which is like 150 i can use now and save for more expensive one?
I scoured.
TPU marketplace, hardware canucks etc. just to name a few
you just didn't know where to look at. ebay and talking about people paying $700 to $1000 and over who knows how much
/r/hardwareswap/
Looked at hardware swap
They all want 500
Going piece according to literal market share on new 1080tis is 828
Price*
🤦
you could buy a SUPER 2080 easily for that much and it's easily superior
please stop.
Literal market share analytics
no
Yes
more like, nonsense
that most trusted benchmark site doesn't even have a single DX11 bench, their top graphics bench is DX10 and they feel like DX11 is not there yet
you don't know what you're talking about
let's go ahead and end this debate.
plus this is techdeals.
yeah
All G lol. I was just enjoying the debate. I still think I made a Good buy for an unopened product

BOSSIN Racing Style Gaming Chair Computer Desk Chair with Footrest and Headrest, Ergonomic Design, Large Size High-Back E-Sports Chair, PU Leather Swivel Office Chair (White) at NeweggFlash! On NeweggFlash.com, you get the chance to save as much as 75% on practically anything...
I'm really tempted to buy that
Most "gaming" chairs only support 250-300lbs at most
the secret lab titan does more, but its like $400 if you catch it on sale
Doesn’t support Diabetes... sorry.
Looked at that Bossin chair earlier and started drooling a bit
Those so called 'gaming' chairs, seem to flake and fall apart no matter what. I really wish they'd make them out of good materials.
You're better off dropping $200 on an actually good office chair with lumbar support, good padding, and not that cheap PU leather junk.
I’ve been looking at Herman Miller chairs.
Used about $400, new $1100.
I work onsite in HQ once a year for about a week usually. They have them. Really. Nice. Chairs.
Obviously. Very hard to rationalize spending that.

👀
I gave in and replaced my "gaming" chair with a Herman Miller Embody when it was on sale last December. I hate myself for not buying it sooner.
Anyone have good recommendations for a 4k gsync monitor with at least 100hz that wont absolutely wreck my wallet?
gsync will wreck your wallet no matter what.
yeah, freesync can be made to work on geforce cards
so, pretty much every ryzen outlet is sold out of the 3000 series within 30-40 minutes,. online and no retailers in my city got any inventory this week
that was expected.
yeah, that's why i'm giving it time
it has nothing to do with the fact i have no money to upgrade with right now
I suspect they are all still in "transit"
I know gsync will wreck the bank roll no matter what but I mean like 900 vs 1600
When will stuff be back in stock? Hours, days, weeks?
if you goto something that is out of stock, there is an "auto notify" feature..
hahahahahah i forgot about that
I added my email to 6 notification lists.
the only one sold out at my local store is the 3900x, the rest are in stock but pickup only.
They have $100 of $500
And also a 30% coupon, although I am not sure what it applies on
slickdeals woo
refurb 1440P displays? good deal or just buy new?
Usually a good deal but you may get some dead pixels
any brands to stay away from?
so dell and asus... 😉
Viewsonic is okay, acer is well renowned, benQ is known for high-end stuff
pixio?

That's sus
Wait the picture on the monitor they use is for a game that's brand spanking new
but it's refurbished... but there's no reviews...

4Star on amazon. now that I look I can get it new there for 309
is curved worth it on 32"
32 is huge
I have a curved 27. I down sized from a flat 32
27 seems like the sweet spot
27 is perfect
i use a 32" TV and it's become really normal for me
I have a 19.5 and I've never felt it to be small tbh
well trust me @past cove if you ever upgrade to 27 youll never go back
32 was too big for my space
wonder if i can dig up a pic
yeah but like
it's all relative to how close it is to you
and mine is really really close to me
they don't go lower than 24" anymore though so that'll be my next one
yeah
true
while looking for the picture i also found this
this was my first complete setup
i used a shoebox as a stand
do you lean back?
this is my setup now, its come a loooonnngggg way
nah not too much
anyways here it is with a 32 inch tv
that tv is 720p and i sat like 4 ft away from it
I hope it has good response time
diagonal doesn't seem comfortable
its the only way it all fits in my room
without walking in to wires
lemme make a map of my room
I use dual 1680x1050 at the moment so I was thinking one 32 could replace the dual setup
@past cove
also the right side of my desk isnt big enough for my setup and my laptop
its overdramatized in that diagram of my room
dang that's the first other person I've ever seen who has a 1680 x 1050 like I do
Hmm I see
its a mess lol
when i build my pc i might get a regular desk
but for now, i have a laptop which needs that surface area of the right side
the L shaped desk does a good job of getting my laptop outta my sight
but with a beautiful mid tower gaming rig, id wanna see it lol
and actually, it is pretty comfortable
i use my wrist rest from my razer ornata chroma as a place to rest my arm
on the desk
@past cove I use my PC for a lot of CAD so the dual monitors are pretty awesome for referencing technical drawings and 3D modeling at the same time
CAD
computer aided design
nah

that would be amazing actually
Sure looks like copy pasta to me, ngl

Any good deals on graphics cards? Rainbow six siege is killing my RX 570 😂
This is probably the best value RTX 2070 Super
It’s the best cooler MSI makes IIRC
I have the original 2080 x trio and I can agree it has realllyyyy good cooling
I’ve never tested it for more than an hour but i don’t think I’ve seen it pass 80°C
@soft whale You could try and see the 5700(xt)
Why is it 300$ if it’s just going to go on sale for 40$?
@supple harbor It's not good for gaming.

@dense crag Yes that build is fine. Please use less spaces between sentences and specs next time though. Your post takes up more than my entire screen.
it was probably a copy paste...
@remote pagoda Yeah but it could have been edited down drastically.
Yeah, but that takes effort 😛
@odd arch Ew Amazon. This is newegg discord.
^where?!
Neeegg and amazon
Link
Both Newegg and...that OTHER site, are selling it for $200. Idk where Theo found it for $150.
Exactly...
Which is why i asked for a link because after looking at it, amazon has it for 197
Same w/ newegg
probably an upcoming sale
So who else just bought a 2700 for $150 haha
no
Yeah, that's a bad revan
Ok I'll leave the server lol
byee
It's 199 without the credit card.
maybe link a good newegg deal.
Just don't suggest going into a credit account
Listen, a Ford mustang is only 30 grand new on their plan
Their plan is 160 months with 0% up front
Then if you're Score as low don't do as I did lol
Credit can be very bad
Mine isn't
Mines is high
I paid through PayPal
But my debt is very low
Yeah well thanks for the advice.
You should ONLY have 3-4 lines of credit
House, car, 1 credit card tied to your bank with your checking, and MAYBE 1 store card you shop at alot
And for small purchase's should your credit card and store card be used, never put debt you can't pay back in 2 weeks on there unless you have to
dang good deal on that ram
@ruby tree that depends which gaming platform and in what way you want to purchase it. Here's the full list: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=BO4
nvm its for intel 😦
If you can get a R5 3600 it still better even though it has less cores
you dont really need x570 board with the 3600, a b450/x470 will work fine
so not really
I’d say go for it just for future expansion with future Ryzen chips
If you can, wait for the custom RX 5700 xt cards to come out this August
Or if you aren't a stickler for AMD, the RTX super series is nice.
Honestly, the 1660s are pretty cheap right now too.
Even a decently priced 1660 ti.
Amazon 🤢

and newegg sells the threadripper too
^
I didn't check on Newegg, my dad showed me and he's a 100% Amazon person
Where do the new AMD gpus fit into the lineup?
@frail knot They perform pretty good but the ones with the blower style cooler run too hot.
@frail knot This will show that info and possibly answer some other questions you may have on them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-idMDjwRgk

mobo is meh, but does have the 2080 + 9900k
and 6 USB 3+ ports
That's a REALLY good deal.
You could find some better parts and build it yourself, but a 2080 and 9900k is already about 1.2k.
so should i get it?
i mean i like how it has 4 USB 3.0/3.1 ports
but i do tons of editing
If you're looking for a new PC and want the best of the best, it's pretty good. The PSU is a bit odd, but the deal is amazing.
think that one is good?
i can swap out the psu myself
i have some gold 750 ones lyingaround
Looking on newegg at what they put in it at consumer prices, it's worth 2k.
what about the mobo
It's meh.
It's an ASRock Z390.
Definitely not a bad board by any means.
This is the mobo.
2 M.2 drives.
what am i losing on it
It's not the most amazing mobo around, but it's not bad either. ASRock is on the lower end of mobo manufacturers in my experience.
i want to run 3000-3200+ speed ram minimum, andabout 128gb if possible
i know it's a pretty decent deal
This one has support for 4300 OC'd ram.
You can, it'll be an involved process, but you could do it yourself. 😛
Probably like a 30 minute to a 1 hour job.
It's a full-size board, it has all the bells and whistles, and it supports a lot. It's the baseline for "good" mobos.
for a $2500 computer
Kek. Or you could pay to ship it to me and I'll switch your mobo out for 500. c;
Tulsa, Oklahoma. :L
id pass
I was mostly joking anyways, I'd totally do it for 500, but yeah.
Lower quality materials used in the construction, RGB, future compatibility.
But not much, not 200 worth.
This board in specific is a nice ASRock board anyways.
The thing with mobos, if they're new, is they either work or they don't.
So buying a prebuilt means you're good as can be.
u think this deal will still be around for a week or two?
i figured if im going to do it id be swapping out the psu + the ram anyways
Just to put it into perspective though, I spent 2k on my build, and it's a 9900k and a RTX 2070.
so would it just make more sense to buy separately and build myself?
when did you do yours
About a month and a half ago.
I bought the best of the best though.
My mobo, case, and PSU are totally and entirely future proof.
id rather spend that extra $500
then again this would be a computer id keep for the next 4-5 years
so would it make sense to use another mobo or just this
It is a computer that would last that long, that's for sure.
I'd say it's a good deal if you need a PC RIGHT NOW.
Otherwise, I'd get someone to build you one.
If you want that high-quality.
running an 5820k right now with 64gb ddr4 3000 speed ram
Like double-extra-high-quality.
Yeah, I'd say this one'll be good for about 6 or 7 years.
but i do a lot of editing
Since PC tech is seeing diminishing growth in performance per dollar.
so hence, upgrading might make sense
It definitely would, if it's your job.
Think on it.
Give yourself a day or two, sit with the thought, lay in bed and think about it.
Big purchases aren't something you should spring on.
if it had a nicer mobo and ram for another $300 i'd jump on it
(I do it all the time and have crushing debt, but I can handle it, just prefer not to.)
I'll be 100% with you.
dude i spend like $40k a year
Changing out a mobo isn't that hard, it's just very involved.
on my credit card lmaos
i can afford it but im trying to keep my statement avg this year under 2k per month
One of the things i Recommend if you're unsure is take pictures of all the connections, since mobos are universal.
More or less universal.
if i switch mobo
all i gotta do is replug new mobo in
and it'll work?
+re-glue processor to heat sink, etc.
?
Just gotta make sure it's compatible with everything you wanna put in it.
Has the proper slot type for the CPU and all that.
would i be able to sell that mobo that comes with that computer? lmaos
if i dont use it
The RAM speeds you want.
how important is ram speed?
I mean, sure. You could score like 50 bucks off of an unboxed unused mobo.
not too tech savvy
One sec, actually.
assuming i use lightroom + photoshop a lot
How do you interpret the speed and timing specs on RAM kits, and how much does it matter for your PC? TunnelBear message: TunnelBear is the easy-to-use VPN a...
That's a good video for it.
ugh
i guess i could always swapout the ram and psu and sell em
and keep the mobo
but i'd like two m2 ssds
I mean, the RAM swapout is super easy, the PSU works, but it's sort of odd.
for the OS + my files i work on
how hard is that to do?
transfer the OS to the m2 drive ill be buying
The PSU might be a really big pain.
The PSU isn't modular, so that means you'll have to undo the cable management.
Reason: Bad word usage
That would be much much more involved.
ughhh
UGH
just send me ur build lol
Heh.
i'll just buy the same parts and pay someone local to assemble and stuff
Gimme a sec.
just want it to handle editing flawless
so must have m2 ssds
preferably a 1TB
if i have SSDs onmy current computer
can i just unplug and plug into new?
storage ssds
For the most part, yeah.
The PSU I have has multiple SATA ports for hard drives, and it's fully modular with a high-power output.
So you basically just add a cable and plug the hard drive in then slot it into the case.
you can toggle that off
wait is it in the top left corner?
go to user settings -> overlay and turn it off
if you trust craigslist...it's a 2080ti for $850
in san francisco*
nice find
LOL for when you wanna say you have an $800 kitchen faucet https://www.newegg.com/p/014-00GW-00004?Item=9SIA5A06ME2866&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=MP072119&cm_mmc=EMC-MP072119-_-EMC-072119-Index-_-index-_-9SIA5A06ME2866
@outer cypress Buy that for your mom for her next birthday or something. 😂
it only costs so much b/c of the motion sensor and all
take that away and its a lot cheaper
No, that's how much I paid
Gimme.
Cheapest new RTX 2080 is 630 bucks, dude.
Ur a winner.
You get 100 points.
You make me proud, dude.
-Salut-
why the 3 storage devices?
Probably used, and someone who just wants it gone
Newest part is GPU, lightly used, had for 2 1/2 months and dropped the price 3 times in 1 week
I'd guess they used the sata ssd as boot on a previous build, then re-used it as a data drive on the new system with an m.2 NVME boot drive.
@outer cypress your kitchen sink is on sale for $120 now. Get it quick!

Is a i7 9700kf for $350 a good deal?
244$ 2700x on Newegg
the 50th edition is 250
Good deal or bad deal?
it only has one intake fan
but $500 for a pc with a 1070
that processor is a bit sucky but idk hmmm
should i ask if he can sell individual parts?
i doubt you'd be able to do that
idk man
Anybody find deals on a b350m motherboard ?
That cpu is bottlenecking the GPU @vapid mortar
@unkempt ginkgo get a CRT you'll get over 100 Hz and zero lag, hope you like VGA though 😂 no seriously, CRTs are good for gaming if you don't mind the power requirement
@outer cypress Id buy that and sell the 1070 alone for 300
@cobalt rampart This is the cheapest one I found on newegg: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813144080
Is this a good deal? Sorry if it's not newegg. I just want to know.
if you can talk him down to like $700, sure
8gb of ram with a 1080... maybe upgrade it yourself to 16
He said lowest he'll go is 800$
i'd pass on it tbh
If anything I'd buy it then upgrade 8gb->16gb ram then ryzen 5 1500 to ryzen 5 2600x
Cause it would be my first TRUE build, considering I have an all in one.
you could build one better than that and save some money
you can get a 1080Ti used for about $450-$500 these days
O
never buy a pascal card off amazon/Newegg
the crypto mining stuff ruins the price, buy them off eBay or a site like that
i have a switch
im just pointing it out for other people :D
discounted switch and free game
Just a question about the AirPod deal so if I buy the one with the lowest price will be the quality be really bad or it will be ok
well they are refurbished
So which one is more recommend used or refurbished
well
to me "used" means it has not been "refurbished"
on the other hand
"refurbished" means that something was wrong, it was sent back and repaired, but they can't sell it as 'new' any more
with that
if the price difference is marginal
go refurbished

Best Buy has GPUs, CPUs, RAM, and Storage drive tax free. I just got a gtx 1660ti for $299.99 after a price match on amazon. Take advantage my guys!!!!!
I'd just get a used 1080 for like $300 but noice deal
Also is it all bestbuys or just your local one
@uneven pier where do you see this tax free stuff, not seeing anything online about it
Most stores will pricematch
I know that the one in minneola, FL will do it. But I thought tax free weekend was for everyone in the us for certain items. It may have been tax free because if the price match.
@tall granite
Riperoni, I'm in UT rn for vacation and no tax free weekend here
Tax free?? Since when.. lol
Look up tax free weekend...a lot of states have it goin on rn
wow.

I wouldn't personally get a 5400rpm drive...buuuut 4tb for 80 is good
it's good for a data drive (not games or os)
yeah
4tb of meme
4tb of theo emojis and gifs
also box why were you so enthusiastic about it
u said WOW
lol
because it's 4tb for 80 bucks?

Yeah... 5400 not my style....
Gotta be at least 72,000 for me
OVER 9,000
especially for 3.5” drive
@tall granite @ember musk lol u guys have 2 pay tax
2 things in life... - taxes and death...
Anyone want to point me in a direction of a retail place that will let you make payments on a string laptop with bad credit
lol
All 3 on Newegg flash
I’m pretty sure the ll120s actually average around $100 though
@surreal osprey check out rent a center. Otherwise I believe you can do segmented payments through pay pal
$85 660p's again

There are a lot actually
I need to make a bot to copy my deal postings from my own discord over to a few others
They dropped the ddr4 Ram with 3200 MHz 16 Gb for 60 something dollars
I said gotta C O P
^ bought a refurbished one for $25
Refurbished HDD??? Oof
Seagate
Refurbished
To be fair, they probably replaced absolutely everything inside of it, cause those things fail catastrophically.
my x570 gotta be so expensive
@winged quiver is this laptop good for my brother going into college? I saw it was 350 dollars off-
seems like a decent deal for the hardware, but if he is going to be carrying it around to classes that is a bit big
alright thanks
🤔
XFX Radeon RX 590 Fatboy DirectX 12 RX-590P8DFD6 8GB 256-Bit DDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card https://m.newegg.com/product/N82E16814150817?ignorebbr=1&m_ver=1
Down to $190 with the code
But who would want to buy a new RX590 now? :o
Someone who doesn't want to spend a lot on a GPU
Hi
I'm in need of a strong motherboard for video making and DJ stuff.
Any suggestions
@lime sundial We need more info like what CPU you want to go with, your mobo budget etc.
w0ah
Not too shabby
I need at least 6G processor. And a recommendation on a suitable video card
Budget?
What do u mean 6g processor
Yeah but that one has flickering issues and Newegg dead pixel policy
only 60hz, but for the price, I'm happy with it
it was also on sale for 249 when I bought it, which helped
@sweet sluice I think that’s around the same price I got my Samsung 4K monitor for. Geez I hate the colors on it
I'm pretty okay with the colors on mine I guess
Hey guys could someone DM me what you think the best $800 PC would be for content creation and gaming
And a little streaming
that budget is too tight for those requirements @covert gale
very very tight budget too but doable if you just want to do 1080p
edit th is list i partially made however you want
up to you if you want to stay with 8gb of ram or go to 16gb and i dont know what kind of storage you want
operating system is up to you how you want to get it as well @covert gale
note: b450 motherboards will require a bios update if you do decide to go 3rd gen ryzen
you can change the cpu to 2600 if you want to save the 80 bucks or so
then dont have to worry about bios updates
Yeha thats what I was gonna do thank you much love
thing with bios updates is you need an old cpu sitting around
the windows 10 os will set you back 10-120 bucks depending where you get it
theo sent a parts list with amd
pfft $6 on ebay >:D
for the pro license too
but you didnt hear that from me
$100 for windows is a whole scam
this is also the tech deals channel
Why only 8gb of ram tho
ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) ATX Motherboard is good one ?
Yes
I agree on the windows colments
x570 crosshair hero is likely overkill. But if you want a board that has plenty of VRM headroom for whatever you put in it and some of the best memory compatibility / OC support for a daisy chain board, go for it.
A few of us here have either the C8H or the X570 master, similar boards, but almost all of the $300-$350 x570 boards are of comparable overall quality.
I have the C8H, its one of the best boards ive been able to have
Its very easy to understand and fun to play around with, will be future proof for all watercooling build trust me
Also its got great VRMs
Haha ya, owners seem to love it. But if someone asks " C8H is good one?" I'm guessing they might not want to spend $360 on a mobo if their particular needs can be met by a <$200 x570 TUF / Aorus Elite, or similar.
I wouldn’t recommend the Aorus elite, strictly because of the 1-star rating consistency. Also, I got a DOA one as well.
So I may be biased.
Ooooor you use a flash drive and iso file to get windows for free forever
I haven an entire twitch novelty account to give out some OEM keys I bought in bulk to first time builders.
It doesn't take more than $5 to find a legit seller even if you're just buying one key.
https://clips.twitch.tv/GrotesqueSavoryRedpandaRaccAttack
Its a good board because of the bios, go and compare another top end board and come back with your preference. The C8H beats any Gigabyte Board by a longshot, the only disadvantage so far would be the missing M.2 Slot which doesn’t mean much to me. The MEG ACE is a great board too but when compared to the ASUS board, you are gonna get better and more polished BIOS and looks just because of MSI being new to the super high end AMD mobo market. Their particular needs can be met by an X470 board in reality. Nobody needs X570 unless they are overclocking a lot of things or if they are gonna have a 3900X or 3950X
The chipset fan is also inaudible for anyone wondering, and no you dont need Gigabytes all passive board. The only thing it doesnt have is that better Ethernet jack and extra M.2 Slot which already, 2 is plenty. Its quite better looking as well.
For most higher end consumers, it does fine with no compromise
That monitor is still a VA panel
Not really for gaming, but will have nice colors
Its for the person who plays Witcher, Skyrim, and Fallout but never FPS
But overall amazing for 300$ considering its 32 inches
aren't you thinking of IPS displays?
nothing wrong with VA for gaming, and they are generally better than TN panels
Aorus AD27QD 27" 144Hz 1440P FreeSync Gaming Monitor, Exclusive Built-in ANC, 2560x1440 QHD Display, HDR, 1ms Response time, 10-Bit IPS, 95% DCI-P3 with 1x Display Port 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x USB 3.0 https://m.newegg.com/product/N82E16824012006?ignorebbr=1&m_ver=1
That aorus is a great monitor, but it's in a different price class vs the 27" 1440p 144hz VRR TN/VA panels
Yeah, 144Hz 1ms IPS is pricey
@lone depot thoughts on the px275h?
Between the popular IPS panels, the xb271HU/PG279Q use the same AOC panel I think. The Aorus has 10 bit color and DCI-p3 though.
@worn rose I don't see many mainstream reviews, would have to check forums.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newegg.com/amp/pixio-px275h-27-wqhd/p/0JC-0081-00030 here’s the link if u want
At first glance, I'd go 32" IPS 60Hz 4k for productivity, or 27" IPS 60Hz 1440p, same use
For gaming, I'd personally go 144hz 27" 1440p TN
Idk, it's a compromise of specs and price ranges / features, if you want a little bit of the best of each, sure. Monitor choice is highly dependent on personal preference.
I think lg monitors are fantastic
Small annoyance about the aorus, it seems like they put the PSU inside the monitor. Also, LTT has a vid about replacing the screen with a $150 aliexpress panel
@lone depot what does that do.
I want ips 100hz+. 4K. But it’s soo expensive luls
Means you have to plug a fat atx power cable into the monitor vs a thin 19V barrel connector or something. https://i.rtings.com/images/reviews/monitor/gigabyte/ad27qd/ad27qd-inputs-1-large.jpg
Hi
@lone depot ah. I don't see that as too much of a problem tbh.
Nothing wrong with that unless you're picky like me.
That's expensive for what it is.
Why not go for the 1440p 144hz g-sync compatible TN 27" displays for $300
@lone depot what monitors go for 300 with those specs?
Two TN 27" and one VA at 32" , all 144hz fresync $300

Cool, thanks
Check out rtings, tftcentral, and the blurbusters site / forum .
@terse tinsel but RGB
How much is it normally?
it doesn't say it's even on sale
it's the same price on amazon, and when it's on sale on one, it usually isn't on the other, not for the same amount at least
I mean, says it's gold certified, which is really nice, 1200 watt... I've never seen one this cheap, especially without touting a sale
oh so the clock speed must be really low
probably just an older unit trying to get rid of
was a joke btw
quite a few reviews talking about it dying
but like, not enough to bring the score down too much
yeah. Unless you need 1000w I wouldn’t get it
4 star on amazon too
Just thought it would be a "nice to have", could technically keep my current psu in case it died.
was looking at psu's after seeing the previous posted deal, and noticed this one
One "quirk" about the g3 1000W is a kinda high over temp protection, kinda noise if you do load it, but otherwise fine.
dunno if this is just a typo, but on the amazon page exclusively, it talks about the 80+ gold, but then there's a bullet that mentions 80+ Bronze
oh, accidentally looking at the 850 now lol
G3 is always 80+ gold. I have the 850W version, all of the G3's are superflower OEM's on the Leadex II rev 2? platform
I think you're mixing us up
the screenshot up was the G3, I posted a new link and have been talking about a different psu
Lol, oops.
so either typo, or the 850 of the rosewill photon is bronze, but the 1200 properly states gold twice
All rosewill photons are Gold. https://puu.sh/E4hVO/6eaec6fba3.png
The quarks are definitely bronze, TIL they're also the 550w microcenter powerspec 550
meh, I think I'm gonna buy it then
just to see for myself, let you all know if it dies on me or not
The 1200 photon?
if I'm lucky and it ends up being a not dying one, will be future proofed for future additions
yeah
Haha, be careful, cheaper PSU's lack features that will protect the rest of your system in case of a failure.
Like lower wattage G2's cooking boards during a brownout. But even some high end stuff like seasonic prime plats/titaniums showing more RMA than usual.
luckliy I'm not seeing any complaints of killing parts, just either coming DOA or dying after only a couple of months
That's good, these days, you definitely have to check on a per-model basis.
If you want the best PSU for the money, I'd avoid that photon haha, but if you're like me and just want to test it for fun,
found one with same wattage even cheaper, bigger fan and... well it says platinum certified... https://www.newegg.com/bgears-powerminer-series-b-powerminer-1200w-80-platinum/p/1HU-01SF-00002?Description=psu&cm_re=psu-_-1HU-01SF-00002-_-Product
this stuff is so scary yo, can't tell what's good or not
Ya, it pays to read reviews on a per-model basis. Especially since most of these just re-brand OEM FSP/Seasonic/CWT units anyway
but no filters
Not gonna link it but on amazon the PG279Q is $113 off
Used?
I thought it was usually under $600, I guess that is decent. https://puu.sh/E5hNC/c1fd41ba80.png
The PG279QZ is nearly identical, people speculate that it's dimmer to mitigate the IPS glow / bleed.
Even 16% off, paying that much for a monitor is hard to swallow
Yep, a TN equivalent without the hardware g-sync costs $300, e.g. Dell s2719DGF
You can downsize and get the hardware g-sync for $320 s2417DG
my main monitor is 27 inch, don't think I could go down now
Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro, stream and record in 1080p (Renewed) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBYJK7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DuzvDbRZFG6HJ
For the streamers
didnt know they supported wii u 🤔
It supports anything with hdmi
It just passes through video
Lots of bad ones from the look of the reviews, but it's like 50% off
So if you're okay with the possibility dealing with a return or two, then it's a steal
the one thing you need is a Elgato Chat Link if you want to include in game audio from your party - and if you are on xbox one and have a windows 10 pc you dont need a elgato to capture it the xbox windows 10 companion and capture it's stream directly to OBS
@sweet sluice
The important thing about the hd 60 pro is that it has it's own h.264 encoder
Recommendation of a mic thats good for streaming/gaming and not pricey?
Price range? How willing are you to fiddle with settings?
Also, #peripherals-and-displays ?
