Will do thats actually the perso. I just watched the pc 38x vid from
yeah the reviews for that headset just dropped today no?
Do you have any that you would recommend in the ballpark of 100 bucks? I'd rather not spend that much but if that will give me a major bump I'd be willing
And yea just did
PC37x is the only decent headset I know so I shall give it as an option :)
SHP9500 for under 100
yes if you need a mic solution
Oh yea i don't have any other mic
i can vouch for anything Sennheiser tbh lol
Ok yea I think maybe I'll pick those up then. Will be a big upgrade? Not gonna lie my Logitech feel cheap
you don't need gaming headset for positional audio, a good pair of headphones always best route
pc37x is good if you need mic as well
lmao NRG_aceu plays professional Valorant with Apple Earpods
stock apple earbuds sound terrible imo, maybe it just dont fit in my ear well but i was unhappy with em
than again, they are like 15usd
i didnt mind them back when i cared less about audio
hopefully i dont become a audiophile
damn it
nice!
well worth it. I like my HEL quite a bit, specially once you run it through an EQ
well worth it. I like my HEL quite a bit, specially once you run it through an EQ
@wild sparrow i was considering the Hel as well but i had no need for the mic input
technically i didnt either seeing how I went with a hanging mount for my Yeti, but the option is still there incase I ever do 😛
but i like the layout of it, with a big knob facing up
also the convenience of having an amp+dac in one unit is nice
Schiit is just lovely in general
I will say with the split design you get more amp power
a separate dac and amp
yea you can use it as a DAC only and passthrough
o nice
i went with the magni one of the reasons being that im pretty much future-proof'd in terms of power
i think
Can also upgrade specific part based on future needs
@tacit wing should i get magi 3+ aswell
i dont need mic input either
:P
also should i get mx blue
just realised blues are really really loud
@tacit wing should i get magi 3+ aswell
@last plinth i definitely did not NEED a schiit stack. my interface can drive my 58x's just fine
but i love music and gaming so of course im gonna invest into that experience
Idk if 250ohm is really worth
should i?
I can but i could save more money if i didnt
Fine with either one
its not a matter of being worth it or not
you dont gain a whole lot from impedance
do you even have proper equipment to drive a 250 ohm headset?
im fulla schiit
good one
mhm
back to my question
I think I might have solved my mx518 problem
when I plug a mouse into a USB 2 port, the cursor will lag and freeze once in a while when I'm in windows. but not in games
but I plugged it into a USB 3 port and it all goes away
and when I tried it for a little while last night my wrist didn't seem to be hurting
the pain in ur wrist could be caused by outside factors and not your mouse
something to consider
try getting something like this @prime adder
oh I do a lot of wrist exercises
12 votes and 49 comments so far on Reddit
found that post, same motherboard, XMP is on
I'd move it back to the other port to test it but I'm too scared
update bios
also make sure your memory modules are in the right slots
uuuuugh these dt 900 pros sound so cllllleeeaaaannnnn
and they sound amazing on spotify
they sound slightly better on foobar2000 with a proper flac, but it wasnt good enough to make me want to spend the next few weeks scouring the internet for 600 flacs
corsair k100 or apex pro
Any 60% keyboard recommendations?
gmmk compact @jovial hound
otd 356 mini
Do some wrist exercises
Ball ur hands and put ur wrist in circles
Get em warmed up
Thank you I'll check them out
Does anyone have a Logitech G Pro X wireless headset? If so I need some help, it literally sounds like I'm underwater
I've been messing with the eq and I get little to no change
Thank you
gaming headphones tbh
Does anyone have a Logitech G Pro X wireless headset? If so I need some help, it literally sounds like I'm underwater
@calm cobalt dont mean to be a d!ck but the mic on that headset is just innately terrible. the blue feature makes it even sound worse imo
generally wireless mics will always sound worse than wired counterparts. i can stomach the modmic wireless tho
turn off any post processing and see what that does
Ye but It literally sounds worse than a cheap $10 bluetooth headset
And its not even supported on the ghub app
well headsets are near if not the worst quality in terms of mics lol, but id also check around that your levels and stuff are good in sound control panel
this should probably be somewhere around 44100hz or 48000hz https://i.imgur.com/RGvYsj4.png and if there is option to disable enchancements do that
@amber oracle at first i thought that my music was only somewhat better with the new headphones, but then i switched back to my bluetooth ones, and realized my old ones aren't nearly as good.
lol
sounds much better, it was way below 48000hz... thanks lmao
np 👍
ordered my modi 3(in black to match my setup 😍 ) and my LD mk2
the modi 3 comes in like 3 days, the other, unfortunately, 3 g o d d a m n w e e k s
i would've like silver schiit but it dont gfo with the rest of my stuff
cntrl you getting a custom keeb?
N
and yeah I totally coulda got the silver one but lowkey think the black would look hot as well
i could get custom but i dont wanna solder and stuff and even building a kb sounds annoying
maybe so, but I mean hey custom is custom
alright I gotta finish this HW rq but I will return soon
mmmm maybe not, I have to watch back to the future
Ok
@west hornet imagine not having a silver keeb to match the silver schiit stack
@last plinth hot swap pcbs exist
hey @tight pulsar I got a black keep to match my black singluar schiit modi and my littledot with my glowing orange tubes that match the orange RGB I got going on for halloween
beat that
i have a silver keyboard with white keycaps to match my white desk legs and also white case, which matches my silver modi and silver magni
checkmate
@sharp kindle i knew someone was gonna say that
either way, i dont wanna build a keeb in general
Too much knowledge in my head
i ordered my stack just last night and it comes in tmrw lol
perks of living close to the Schiitr
@little crater how is the fit of the 990's for your head and around the ears?
it fits perfectly, I don't have to extend it, and it stays in place
also i can comfortably slap it over my head without my hair getting in the way
good to hear :)
did you try giving any of the files from the other day a spin?
@little crater
I like them
they sounds pretty good
but I don't have good sound
all I got is my HS60
get better sound
just compared to my closed bluetooth headset, the difference was night and day
Just
aye, its the "depth" of sound @little crater
and it is really hard to explain without having heard it
because i know you have read a lot (if not all of) what has been said here in the channel about how they sound
What can one do without budget to upgrade headsets :(
but it just does not compare to actually "hearing" it
BTW Naed, off topic question, do you have any idea how I get sulfur on sea block?
I can't figure out any ways
I don't have hydrogen sulfide gas
gn
I have an issue with my laptop. Sorry but I have no idea where to post this so I went with here. Randomly the keys basically just got scrambled and I have like W typing R , H typing B, 7 is caps lock etc..
I bought a cheapo keyboard to test if it's hardware/software maybe and it seems to work properly
Tried looking something like this up but all I get is people spilling liquids on their laptops and I didn't do that. Plus they have problems like keys repeating and randomly activating so idk
Haven't tried a reformat, you think that would help?
sounds like someone messed with your laptop lmao I did that to a few friends
a script that would type a certain different character if you typed a different physical character, and it would randomize every minute lmao
Well I don't think that's what happened..
Is there something I can do to reset all the keys? Like a registry edit file?
And like I said I tried an external keyboard and the keys work fine ..
new gpw looks fire
u have release date or no
can you change the key caps on the rk61? like does it come with a key cap puller or is it like hot swappable
yeah you can change they keycaps and they should have a keycap puller
You can change the key caps but it’s not hotswap switches
what happens if u glue keycaps to switches
oh ok thank you
@keen heron well do you want full size, tkl, 65, or 60 percent
also budget
if you want rgb
what switches
hotswap or not
Is this where I should ask about KVMs?
@sharp kindle can u find me one
i want either linear or mx blue switches 65% pref
or 70%
@last plinth you can get a drop alt like me
its pricey but its the closest youll get to a custom board with a prebuilt
it has enough rgb for me, but its kinda subdued by the keycaps
its hotswap
detachable cable
the one drawback is that it only has 3 pin switch support
theres a few large flaws with the alt but its a decent first board
yes
for 65 percent there are only a few options though
also mx blues are kinda wack
if you want a clicky switch box whites or jades are great
the ducky sf is a good option but thats a 60 percent with arrow keys
so not 65 percent but not 60 percent
the main issue with the alt is the price cause u can easily get a tofu65+pcb+plate for the same price or cheaper than the barebones but u would need to know how to solder
true but he mentioned earlier he didnt want to build a custom keyboard
ducky sf huh.
ill look
bruh i would build my own kb
but then i gotta worry about messing up
buying a solder
ik u can get hotswap
yeah
the gk64 exists but i would not reccomend that
north facing switch mounts
yuck
bruh the hi profile alt is $50 more rhats a scam
yeah it is a scam
alt has north facing switches too
whats best linear or clicky switches
well
for clickys something like box whites or jades
they offer a nice click
linears are really personal preference

someone said its good for playing games so
also if i did build a keyboard what would i need
I can get hot swappable for pcb
pcb
right
case/plate/stabilizers/switches/pcb/cable/keycaps
dont wanna buy a solder and solder my fingers together
at 130 a glorious gmmk tkl is appealing
with a plastic case and depending on size yeah
^
was gonna get this https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=5804
60% would be really easy, tkl and 65% would be slightly harder but thats about it i think you could do easily
But not much options in switches
i thought you said 65 percent
well if you want 60 percent there are lots of options

ducky sf has arrow keys
well whatever you get dont get mx browns
yea ik
my friend said theyre mushy and disgusting
lol u havent tried ml or my cherry switches yet
kalih box whites right?
@sharp kindle
if you want a clicky switch box whites or jades are great
ok
choosing between cherry mx switches are completely a feel based thing
getting my schiit modi on saturday!
I think
or sunday? does fedex deliver every day? don't remember lmao
getting my schiit modi on saturday!
@brisk parcel mines scheduled to deliver today im super stoked
i love living close to Schiit delivery literally just took a day
lmao nice
@brisk parcel Ninj, what you think of the 400i 2020's ?
contemplating on my next purchase already LOOOL
thinking of going the planar magnetic route to see what the hype is about
the hifimans?
yessir
they're not bad. only heard them once when they were first a thing on massdrop, but
planars are something else
maybe not better or worse per say, just different
like tubes
only thing about planars though is that they don't like tubes
so keep that in mind for the future
what i love about audio is that you get to experience the music youve been listening to for years in a different way
^
sorry about that I'm back lmao
anyway
yeah, planars are different in how they deliver the sound
look it up, pretty interesting topic
:)
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@west hornet @amber oracle have either of you heard of shp9500’s? somebody was talking about audio and recommended them, only $80
i heard of them, not to great length tho
hm ill look into them when i get back from biking
oo nice, biking trip
yeah night biking on the singletrack, pretty fun just dont forget a light lmao
hm apparently theyre good for the price but not a competitor for the 58x
theyre generally targeted towards beginner audiophiles
primarily ppl who hasnt even tried open-backs yet

half of me wants to ditch XLR all together for a USB mic so i can get rid of the interface, but it looks good by the Stack
looks clean
@west hornet thx ❤️
um2 is a bit hard to deal with but it gets the job done for basic needs
there is some noticeable interference through the headphone output, its annoying sometimes
but its adequate enough for my cheap Neewer mic lol
at times i found the output to be unusable which was unfortunate. but you do have the stack now do no need for that unless you need asio
how did you find it unusable?
the interference and noise just got bad to the point where i could barely hear what was actually getting output from time to time, could've been unit i got
o yeah the direct monitoring in this thing is pretty bad as well
by the time i could hear myself, i was already clipping in audacity
and the clip indicator is WAAAAAY off lol
lol
the only source I could plug an XLR mic into is an interface right?
well there are a few other maybe.... but we do not speak of such thing
ok here we go
or normal black kb with kalih box whites
Pretty
Ugly
I could just get ugly one and change keycaps
@tacit wing wanna know how the schtack is
sounds weird, but I kinda want a rgb keyboard with no letters/blank
thats not weird at all
i mean
there are keycaps with no characters on them
so its definitely doable
yeah, that’s what I’d like to have. be my luck I’d forget where a symbol is or something though and not be able to find it lol
guys do i sacrifice looks for good switches
@tacit wing wanna know how the schtack is
@brisk parcel well my the only comparison i can use is my USB interface thats riddled with interference and its nowhere to be found in the stack

loving it so far
guys do i sacrifice looks for good switches
@last plinth why not get GMMK and get both
good looks + you choose your own switches
i would honestly use mobo rather than um2 becaus interfernce xD
@tacit wing awesome! I get my modi 3 over the weekend so imma hook it to my scarlett just for testing
also the stack pushes alot more power
then really put it to use with the littledot and oh for sure
magni is a small but powerful beast
dino i think i just get ugly kb with better switches
im not too fond of glorious atm
after going back and forth between these two i can definitively say the difference in clarity @brisk parcel
and i switch keycap
what's wrong with glorious
the Magni just has a smoothness to it
Idk just never been fond of it
im not too fond of glorious atm
@last plinth i think the ducky is worse than the GMMK and i have a ducky myself
glorious kinda wacky
Glorious had QC issues with the cable of their mice before the Ascended V2 came out but as far as I know the GMMK is always the pre-built recommendation from enthusiasts
i can vouch for the keyboards
plus theyre hotswappable so you can use any switches you want
Nachos doesn't love gmmk tho
yeah
pcb kinda funky and if ur getting a 60 id rather go dz60+plastic case route or gk61
yes im trying to work out this pcb rn
does anybody know how to use kicad or fusion360
ive used an autocad program and thats about it
lol
@brisk parcel would you still suggest the 58x foam mod even if i liked more bass than treble?
from my understanding, the foams kill the highs a little bit i think
I would, it creates more of a "roll"
yeah it lets them breathe a little more
and creates a wider soundstage
enjoy
Reason: Bad word usage
ah
wtf
Anyone know any keycaps under 30
@last plinth GMK keycaps
very affordable
one of the best investments ive made this year
dont avoid filter please
my bad
its all good 🙂
also decided to not get keycaps and get coiled cable
@last plinth prioritize on the actual keeb youre getting first and work from there
yea i chose what kb im getting
I own a razer krakex x and the mic stopped working today
Custom hand-made coiled & detachable USB cables for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.
idk what to do, it just randomly switched over to using my facecam as a mic instead and when i switched back it didnt owkr
Is this website trusted
it looks familiar but idk
@last plinth got mine from Kalamity
youll be find with any coiled cable makers out there
just check their IG and other social medias and judge from there
what is it for?
@calm cobalt looks
ah someone else has gone down the rabbit hole
do i get 85$ for a custom cable
@last plinth why not put that 85 on stuff you actually need first
have u got ur audio setup sorted out?
where to buy kb on canada, asking for friend
i told him about kalih box whites and hes like OMG PLS
Sites to buy keyboards
amazon he cant find any
oh
That looks good
hmmmmmm
like the actual sites themselves
i think most big sites ship to canada
like corsair
or razer
or steelseries
i believe they ship to canada
so does novelkeys
basically all site ship to canada
the shipping fee may be higher but
mechanicalkeyboards does right
Red dragon k556 a good keyboard?
No
For 60 bucks you can get better stuff
this ^
yas
Is it safe to plug my PC into a surge protector? I need a wall socket to plug in a powerline adapter and idk if its safe
my psu is 650w if that matters
I wouldn't know anything but I assume that plugging it into a surge protector is better than plugging in into the wall
Please don't take my word for it though, I really don't know
obviously its safe to plug into a surge protector
@tacit wing could u uhhh link me a good site for keycaps I got these puddings but I hate the font of them smh
just look up pudding keycaps and find one with a font u like
and also that isnt a standard bottom row (a reason why i dont like corsair) so some of the keycaps by the spacebar might not fit
why pudding
Any suggestions of good 60% keyboards for around 100$ or less
Kalih Box White
search up sound test
Alright. I was looking at that but literally all of there Mx switches are out of stock and some of there others
Well for the white one at least it looks like the black one has there most there switches
@last plinth I didnt mean the new set had to be , was just saying the set i got oops
@rough warren u can get the white colored keeb if u dont wanna wait for preorder
what about bass boost
dont getting hyperx cloud 2
For bass boost get cloud alpha
thats what dino would recommend
i think
issajoke btw
yep
Good $60 keyboard?
rk61
i am somewhat of a Sennheiser fanboy
i want to dip my toes into Planars tho
For bass boost get cloud alpha
@last plinth i didnt say anything about "bass boost" but youre right that i would recommend them
Cloud Alphas are just basically Takstar 80's with HyperX's coat of pain on it
if anything for "gaming", bass is the last thing you'd want
treble emphasizes footsteps
if u want epic bAsS bOoSt and want your audio to sound like its underwater, go get some Beats by Dre
Sadly the new beats don’t have as much bass 😦
isnt footsteps bass
the last pair of Beats ive heard was my friend's Studio I believe, back in high-school. I vaguely remember not hearing any mids on that cans, it almost sounds muffled
it was the old model tho
isnt footsteps bass
@last plinth nope, you want your highs. but honestly any decent set of cans can image well for gaming
its nothing you should overthink
okay naed i may have to wait a few months until i can give review on my audio upgrade because i may be joining an expensive keyboard gb
:)
if i can actually get one before they sell out lol
I remember when i used to play fortnite there was a guide to make footsteps louder
and u put bass booster things on equilizer apo
owo
i know the 2nd gens were terrible with the bass
I remember when i used to play fortnite there was a guide to make footsteps louder
@last plinth that may be the case for that game. i havent played since like season 4 but in Tilted Towers. the game has muffled footsteps to simulate other players above or below you in the building. the bass can help with that
How much u pay for ur coiled cable
65
well not every cable maker will have the same price
got mine from this guy
i only suggest getting one only if you have money to burn
depends on which connector youre getting, colors, etc
and Cable Length: 5ft [ $1.00 ]
Add Coil: Yes
Coil Diameter: 3/8 Inch (small)
Coil Position: Device Side
Coil Length: 6 Inches [ $3.00 ]
Number Of Paracord Colors: Dual Color
Primary Color (Dominant Color): Acid Purple [ $3.00 ]
Secondary Color: Cream [ $3.00 ]
Heatshrink Color: Black
Add Heatshrink Accents: No
90 Degree: 90 Degree Left
Techflex: Yes [ $5.00 ]
Techflex Swatched: Neon Blue
Device Connector: USB C 2.0 Silver [ $1.00 ]
Host Connector: USB A 2.0 Silver [ $0.25 ]
Add Detachable: Yes
Detachable: Aviator [ $10.00 ]
Aviator Color: Stormtrooper White [ $5.00 ]
REMOVE
this is what i added
bro u got dual colors what did u expect
Only 3 dollars
he probably jacked up the price
he just recently quit his day job to make cables full time so
theres also a cable thing called noblecables
they make it in my city
According to social media
nice
Dont know if its legit
starting at 20$
that is why i suggested only get one if you have some money to burn
aesthetics arent cheap when it comes to keebs
@tight pulsar what keyboard is that
iron180
Ooo it looks cool. How much?
And how is the rk61 good?
Idk keyboards. I wanted the k70 but I decided it’d rather get something cheaper
@muted vector i would reccomend hte gk64 for that price
a lot better
it has hotswappable switches with 5 pin switch support
much better than the rk61 from what i can tell
Can you send a link
@muted vector price isnt finalized cause they gotta confirm with vendors but 550ish
Omg why so expensive @tight pulsar
a lot of things
@sharp kindle hmmm. Idk if I like it tbh😅
mainly bc its a large block of aluminum and theyre making like 500 total
Oh ok I see. And ooo yea it’s just on the right side the keys get a little jumbled for me
I’m new to pc stuff and Ik ima miss click so there’s a lot more for me to miss click lmao
ah
Yea it does look good. Just not for me ya know
Can I ask what’s wrong with the red dragon k556?
Oh ok
Cause I like the all aluminum and semi switchable keys
And the full board
Just idk what to look for in keyboards
Cause ik Linus said it was alright
Linus Fanboy
theres other ppl besides them who do reviews
@tight pulsar
who needs mechanical keyboard when you have $200 hp laptop with arch linux
my PR for fastest WPM is on Apple's scissor switches unironically
lol
hey guys, is anyone here knowledgeable in terms of desks
i know that's a weird question but
i laminated my own table top if that counts as knowledgeable lmao
i'll count you as an expert then
this was summer project, coated it with polyurethane
i have $125 for a new desk so i can fit my whole set up on it - i'm looking on ikea and amazon and i'm asking for suggestions
that looks like a really good cutting board
yeah its a butcher block table top. i love it bc of its thickness
get any tabletop from Ikea except for the Linnmon bc those arent very good in terms of durability
ah okay, thank you
Gerton is good
and u can pick up table legs for cheap on amazon
do you think i should make my own desk lol
idk why i ship Soma and Tadokoro better than Nakiru but thats just me
screw these on a Gerton tabletop and u good
make sure u get 4 of course
ight the gerton tabletop is pretty wide i'mma have to measure it later to see if it fits in my space
gaming desk kekw
theres a variety in sizes with the Gerton
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/cat/table-tops-11844/ heres all the ikea tabletops
i want depth nd wodth
i just dont recommend the Linnmon bc theres literally cardboard inside
lmfao
not very good durability on those, especially if ur puttin ur PC on it
yea im gonna slam my desk probaly aswell
is the gerton rage certified
its not made with real wood
NAH NO WAY THATS THE TABLE TOP
dont want it to break
nah that's like a wasp nest or smth
they built like that bc its cheap
I want 30” deep and 63” width
if u want like the most durable u can get, get a kitchen countertop bc those are built to last
bruh i'mma rip out my marble countertop
the picture i showed is the inside of the Linnmon
so kitchen countertop over a table top for durability?
gAmInG dEsK
knock yourself out
if it says gaming i'd never buy it
159 doesn't seem bad for that
so kitchen countertop over a table top for durability?
@lilac echo yes but the other tabletops from ikea should be fine for you
but if the budget allows it, butcher block countertops are built like a tank compared to traditional computer tabletops
whatever u do just dont get Linnmon
ight i've settled on the wasp nest table top
thanks for all the help guys can't wait to unbox a box
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/gerton-tabletop-beech-50106773/ its 29 and a half inches wide right
and does it come with legs
omg can u navigate in Ikea's site
@tacit wing do you have any suggestions if i want to include drawers/cubbies or just something where i can store things
i cant hold ur hands all the time
Yep
@tacit wing pls hold my hand
chill lol
@tacit wing do you have any suggestions if i want to include drawers/cubbies or just something where i can store things
@lilac echo do the alex drawer mod
What are good legs
instead of table legs
@last plinth these look decent imo dino recommended them https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/adils-leg-white-90217972/
yes ik
instead of table legs, some people use alex drawers as the legs
Theres more expensive ones tho
yes but @lilac echo was asking for a storage solution
@lilac echo if ur gonna include these drawers i dont think itll fit your budget
Is the idasen one decent
ohhhh
well idk anything from ikea that is like that
Or is it how wide it is
depth
As in how deep is it
yes as in the definition of depth
61x30

he just said it's the same either way
yes
dino said depth
here lemme make it really clear
if it's a rectangle it's the short side
nah you have to be trolling right
i just had a migraine fr
wdym by depth then
nah look at your last twitch title
the dimesions gave you two numbers and it has to be either one
it's literally trolling look at this dude
his twitch look empty to me
wym
valorant trolling
U guys are trolling me
width and depth for table measurements are literally the same thing
what you have labeled as "width" is called length
welp i never knew dat
@tacit wing yea I have but I don’t remember much
Any suggestions for keycaps for the dierya dk63. I would prefer either a pink and white set or white pudding
What’s up, any big 900x400 mm not too expensive mousepad suggestions ?

ALL gamers
like bruh this makes me wanna get them just to try them
yo i have that @calm cobalt
what switches you got
yo @tacit wing about those adils legs, do i have to drill holes for the screws or are there already 5 screw holes
nice
pretty sure they already there
yo @tacit wing about those adils legs, do i have to drill holes for the screws or are there already 5 screw holes
@lilac echo depends on the tabletop youre using
some tabletops have predrilled holes and some dont
also the predrilled holes may not lineup with the the holes on the Adils legs
but I don't think any of this is a problem assuming the Adils come with wood screws
but the legs themselves have holes of course

Does that have the death star as the esc key
Yo has anyone bought the herman miller x logitech g embody gaming chair?
Or the cougar argo
U gonna buy it?
The argo I'm thinking about buying
I miss mesh
These gaming chairs are uncomfortable
And hard on the toosh
So, I will likely get the cougar
Only issue is, I am hardly seeing reviews
I don't even care about looking anymore. I need the cloud feeling on my butt
Especially since I am a software developer
get a nice office chair
I need to look up nice mesh office chairs then
mesh office chairs > any gaming chair
that comes from personal experience
gaming chairs look good but have some pretty bad back support
oh they have terrible back support
a cheap office chair is 10x better than any gaming chair i've used
That is why I was looking into these 2 chairs
I'm look for some good office mesh chairs tonight before I commit to the cougar
i dont think anyone in the market for a gaming chair dont give a damn about ergonomics and i cant be mad at that
i mean your not wrong
their either 13 year olds that wanna be cool
or their streamers or content creators
or their people that dont care about back support
@sharp kindle it has orange switches which feel really nice they’re silent but still very good feel and tactile
@proper sphinx it has the imperial symbol as the ESC key which is super sick
oooooh very naise
Gotta get that cool chair so I can brag to my friends
I thought they were going to actually be comfortable
lol
headset w/ mic recommendations, i have a budget of $100 usd
One of my friends owns the Hyperx Cloud 2 headset, looks like a solid pick for around 100 usd
might as well get the Alphas if the budget is $100
also cooler master mh752 @marsh kite
POGGERS
My dac is in Kentucky right now and my AMP just flew out from China, expected delivery is no later than the 14th
Lee’s go
headset w/ mic recommendations, i have a budget of $100 usd
@marsh kite I find the hyperX clouds meh... I've tried them and they have poor build quality and sound for the price IMO. Consider something like the ATH-40x's with a mod mic.
thx
dt990 pros are good right?
im thinking about getting those and a modmic
im might spend $150 on a headset
yes i think @amber oracle can tell you about them when he has a minute
aye, they are good, they are very neutral in sound thou
@marsh kite
and i would recommend that you start slowly looking for a AMP for them
you can use them just fine withou
but an AMP really makes them come to life
any recommendations for $150?
as mentioned, there is nothing wrong with using them without a amp
but investing in a amp down the line? that is imo a good idea :)
also, keep in mind, they are open
there WILL be sound leakage
are there any major diffrences?
i personally enjoy the "sound" i get with the open 990's thou
have you ever tried any headphones where the bass is "felt" as pressure?
nah, ive only used some $50 plantronic headset
okay
the following might sound a bit weird then
in a closed headphone (770)
you will have a feeling of "pressure"
(this is NOT the bass sound that you are hearing as such)
in the 990's that feeling of "pressure" is not there
but the bass sound is not any less "loud"
but, IF you are used to equating "pressure" with "bass"
then the 990's can initially feel like they are NOT as loud (bass wise) as the 770's
does that make sense?
yes, i have an idea of what you mean..
and yes, i know it sounds kinda abstract
sorry
:)
but that is sadly the limit of words when trying to describe "sound" and "feel"
i enjoy the open part of the 990's for their ability to NOT isolate me from my surroundings
because "sound" is imo NOT a isolated experience
its a part of everything around you
Thanks, I think I'll get the 990s.
you are very welcome :)
hi
is the razer huntsman mini worth it
or what 60 percent keyboard or gaming keyboard should i get
My dac is in Kentucky right now and my AMP just flew out from China, expected delivery is no later than the 14th
@brisk parcel didn't you get a modi?
wat
I live in pittsburgh lmao
it shipped from there, currently is in kentucky
wait how did it endup in china at one point lol
that's the amp
wait im actually
originated in china, just passed customs screening in hong kong like 5 mins ago
nice
let me guess is it a tube amp?
conflicted whether to get cheap tube amps to make my Senns sing or get a pair of planars
but if i get tubes i will have more sources than i do have headphones and thats kinda stupid
Modi was supposed to take 3 days the LD mk2 was supposed to take 3 weeks
i would suggest that you dont share tracking numbers @brisk parcel
fair point
still funny how it's a complete accident they both should deliver exactly 1 week later lmao
:)
then I get to break in these wonderful CV4015s
super hyped for tube rolling honestly, might buy a rolling kit around my bday on dec 3rd
comes with a bunch of different tubes in different families and little notes on what they're supposed to do well and little things specific to them
sounds kinda interesting to personalize my setup a little bit
:)
Been looking at getting a new mouse since my current one is breaking. I play wow mostly and am looking at the corsair scimitar and the logitech g600. Does anyone have experience with either or these or other suggestions. I want one with the 12 buttons on the side as that is what I have currently have and have gotten used to
that is way outside of my area :)
I'm leaning towards the corsair one since I have smaller hands
@hazy fiber might be able to help you out
@keen heron whats ur budget
Glorious gmmk
The Compact (61 key), RGB, modular mechanical keyboard. Comes preinstalled with Gateron brown switches & black keycaps. Ready to go - requires no setup. Perfect for someone new to mechanical keyboards.
Want to make it your own? Get it barebones and customize it with switches...
yea
its a nice keyboard
but over the ducky
????
or anne pro 2
im thinking about gmmk anne pro 2 or ducky one 2 mini
idk what to get tho
eh unless you want to actually use the hotswap feature id rather have the ducky or ap2
as a ducky one2 mini owner i dont see why its so popular
prob going for the ducky or anne pro 2
u get so much more keeb with the gmmk
gk61 > literally any other prebuilt 60
thx
Optical switches op
