daughterboard got messed up lol but everything fits so it should be shipping soon™️
ppl say the gk61 is better than the clix keyboard
is that a dent in the joint beneath your thumb @tight pulsar ?
thats not me but looks like its just a shadow from the thumb
yeah
it lines up with the rest of the shadow but they havent done qc yet so its possible it could be a dent but i dont think do
fair enough, to me it looks like a screwdriver mark
but again, i dont normally stare at keyboards all day
unlike others in this channel
i wont mention names ...
ok
lol
lol
Hai

hai @daring zenith you missed quite the convo
@calm cobalt "jokes" like that belong in #general-chat
no
@daring zenith yeah man if you ever want help I totally can
speaking of 58Xs, after months of listening with the foam over the drivers, I decided to remove the foam, and ooooooh
So, what to look for on headphones? I know basics of how amp and dac works no (ty ghost)
they open up
and yeah totally
just what to look for and doing research yourself to learn some things too
ooh baby so like I removed the foam, but do I go one step further and remove the paper over the driver too?
dude it's only been like 3 songs and I notice the difference right away they are def wider
a info dump/starting-tutorial/101-lesson might be quicker if you just jump on voice and ramble on while @daring zenith holds on for dear life
its a LOT of info

we both do
Oh yea Naed, I'm playing modded factorio now
this modpack is called sea block, ever heard of it?
I haven't he might've tho
I got HW to do so I'll see you all later, was fun talking as always ❤️ love you all seriously would do anything if you guys needed help
screw what people say about online friends we're like one big messed up family, especially nerdy
gonna move to pc gaming chan
:)
@white talon a lint brush (i believe that is the english term for it, used for removing hair/lint from a Suit) can help you with cleaning the cups on the 990's
Lint roller?
This thing gets lint off very nicely
aye, either one of those or a brush style version of the same :)
Aye
the point of doing it, is the grease your hair WILL have.
no point in having that soaking in more than needed on the cups
Yeah I normally just use my fingers. Ik about the tricks but I'm to lazy it doesn't bother me to much😂
think about this, its the difference in the long run for the longevity of the cups
:)
not really @daring zenith
huh
next to "kick to the nuts" but if you get to "slap to the privates" you have gone too far
yes, its ironic that is where its placed
its not exactly the most logical of places
hmm I'm at "throw ram at motherboard", how much further?
but what can you do. Management will be management
just keep walking, it all lops around
ah okay, they gotta make this less confusing
now where is the logic in that?
The management contract clearly says they are not allowed to use of the products
soo ... yeah
no "common sense"
nor "logic"
Oh well, what can ya do when this is the only place to get logic
shrugs
i have read a bit and seems like rexo is just uneducated
any one have a good pc gaming headset recommendation??
60 dollars or less
hyperx @frozen grove
60 dollars or less
@frozen grove hyperx or steelseries
@frozen grove i really like the hyperx cloud stingers
rexo ik which headset youre referring to with steelseries
yea
and my only complaint is that the earcups are very chonk
steelseries 3s
ive always been partial to massdrop headphones
they seem nice
or excuse me
drop headphones
i think massdrop sounds way cooler but whatev
nice
ikr
ima call someone on discord to help me though
i seen a pc building video and he said it was like advanced legos
its like really expensive legos you can ruin with a sock and a piece of carpet
im not even getting an esd bracelet lmao
i watch it and they be speaking hbdjlbbewnehcb ecpu and the gpuwbnkcc r
like you lost me
and microcenter is charging $150 to build it for you
yikes
im never going there again
Drop nice but long shipping
Oh well idk about their keyb oards lol
day 155 of not knowing what keyboard to buy
chosing a monitor and keyboard is hard
Best chair brand?
Ive owned the pc37x for more than a year now and would have to say the sound is good for "gaming", the mike was great for awhile but after about 6 months it started having issues
I think it has something to do with the mike muting itself whenever you pull it up when not in use
After using it so many times it starts to mess it up
Now it doesnt pick up my voice as much as it use too and for some reason when I have the mike up it still picks up residual sound from my speakers
Im thinking of getting steel series or hyperx next
Use to own turtle beaches back on xbox and those sound amazing with great bass but dont know if i should go back to them
I would get steel series wired tho because for some reason they have their own proprietary cable for charging which i dont want to deal with on their wireless models
Anyone have good recommendations for microphones, sick of low quality headset mics and would like to finally get a real microphone, i'd like to stay around the under 100 if possible if anyone has any suggestions
samson q2u nice, if you can fit the budget i really like the elgato wave 1
Thank you i'll go check those out
podcastage has some good reviews
Yo! Shoutout to Astro Gaming! I inquired with them this morning about a cord that has finally started shorting out on my Astro A40 TR headset after over 4 years of use and they got back to me and are sending me a replacement free of charge!!! This headset has been amazing and the mic quality for being on a headset is the best I've ever heard.
@worn holly considering their prices ... that is imo the least they could do
but happy to hear you got a solution :)
@amber oracle I mean, for sure. but they are great quality. As I said, I've had them for over 4 years and they still sound like they did when I opened the box.
as long as you are happy :)
i think one the reasons why Astro is so expensive is their heritage with MLG and competitive Call of Duty
as a kid, i thought they were the coolest looking headsets. the influence was real
aye, their marketing department sure earned their wages
some people mod mice and do things like 3d print the shells for it but not make a fully custom one, id say its harder (the only mouse i have seen be made 100% custom is the qmk mouse) https://www.reddit.com/r/olkb/comments/i8ukco/the_ploopy_qmk_mouse_clicks/
is my video guide good ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV_Lbh2BCTI
I've learned all of this from other videos. I am no technician :D
You can’t really make your own mice but you can mod them
It’s harder than building a keyboard
But you can do stuff like weight reduction, balancing out the weight, change the look, spray paint. Mod a pcb into the shell of another mouse
I mean
building a kb from scratch like how Nachos is doing
I'm pretty sure that's harder than just modding a mice
ya but fully building a mouse is gonna be way harder modding a mouse isnt that hard
@proper sphinx anyways I'm pretty damn sure people do both building kbs and mouses from scratch, it's just deeper into the communities and actually hardcore.
Anyone have the apex pro? I’m thinking about getting one. Not for msrp
anyone got a good recommendation for headphones in the £90 range?
so i tend to use a fingertip grip on my mouse
which mouse should i get?
steelseries rival 3 wireless
or
steelseries rival 310
yea my price limit is $50usd
Or just use palm grip like a normal person lmaoo
Oh um ifk then
I got a g703 for cheap but yea
Tru prob lmaoo I'm shat at gaming
fingertip feels good and is precise
but yea get tired quick
so i end up going to palm after 2-3hrs usually
claw feels weird
i use claw on my model o and it feels good
palm grip is best on ergo mice
like the Zowie ec2
I'm in-between claw and fingertip
and fingertip is what u use on something like a gpw
im an extreme claw grip guy
like Twistzz
I'm Russel "Twistzz" van Dulken and I'm a professional CS:GO player for Team Liquid. In this video, I'm explaining to you my sensitivity and mouse grip.
Mouse: Glorious Gaming Model D
Mousepad: Zowie GSR
Sensitivity 00:13
Mouse grip 02:43
Let me know in the comments if you h...
kinda like that
I think I fingertip
i just hold my mouse
i dont think the GPW is optimized for Ftip because of its rounded shape. most people claw and rest their back palm on the hump of that mouse
Elige, Twistzz teammate even palms his GPW
ftip mice are generally low, flat and small like a viper or ultralight 2
@tight pulsar you should know by now, ask your question you git :P
no the suspense is important
but anyway yeah i need so help picking out audio stuff again
looking for open back headphones+dac amp for like 300ish
id say hd6xx or dt990 pro with schiit fulla
hm is the difference huge between them cause its like a 50-60 price gap
lol, or 58x instead of 6xx
also last time u suggested a different dac amp from schiit is it better value?
idk something that started with m i think
maybe magni + modi stack
yeah i think that was it
and yes they nicer but it whatever you can fit in budget, with the headphones i believe the sennheiser a bit warmer, and i haven't tried but people say the dt990 are brighter, but it whatever you prefer
magni+modi is 200 total, 100 each
unless you find used somewhere
so like i have no clue about audio stuff as u know what makes dacs and amps better than cheaper ones
could be io, resolution
with amp, boosting the signal while keeping it clean, give enough power
so i assume a 90 and 200 dac amp will be pretty close to each other and not like terrible vs amazing
probably not huge difference, big difference i would say is moving from integrated to external. me moving from pc audio to one dac amp and another i can tell which one is the pc and which the schiit and i prefer schiit, but idk if i would say it is a hugee difference.
speaking of which i gotta go fetch my schiit
i see many use 990 for studio which make me think neutral and yes that can be good or bad, depends on person xD
aye
they are lovely for studio work
but they are neutral enough that they can sound "wrong"
if that makes sense?
if i ever make it to b&h in this pandemic im trying to get mic stuff and beyerdynamic for my sister
lol do yall just have like several headphones laying around or something
i daily drive the 990's
and i have a number of friends that are audio technicians/engineers
so, i am surrounded by people that have VERY strong opinions about headphones :D
tell them to hook me up with some dt990 pros lol jk
my dad says bad idea for me to try audio engineer 😦 but i won't listen to him i still try hahaa
:((
covid?
very sad, i see so many local business go out
and that is a MAJOR part of their yearly income
well that doesnt sound fun
3 weeks ago i was supposed to be doing a full city party/festival .. yeah, that was ofc not happening
and the pay for that week of work would have been about 1½ months pay
it adds up really fast
there was festival i was waiting for supposed to happen august i think, rescheduled 😦 i can't go anyway it in europe i think still sad tho
which one @west hornet ?
not sure, i don't remember name
fair enough :)
also are the 58x/6xx and dt990 pros comfortable? my cloud 2's get get kinda uncomfortable with glasses when im using them for like 5-8 hours
@tight pulsar
my glasses, not a problem at all with the 990
and they are a fairly "not that friendly for full cup can headphone" design on the arms
because they reach that far back along the head
hm
i waer glasses with 6xx, i have worn them for near 10 hrs a day sometimes. only point it somewhat bother me is very top of head. but it not enough to really bother me
also Nachos, you will be too high on the sweet sweet tunes bombarding your noggin
to notice "details" like that :P
^
will the great music make me better at writing essays if so insta buy
SURE!
yes better essays instantly
they will all be essays that have a suspicious likeness to the song lyrics ... but .. yeah .. SURE!
i used to be terrible at esasys... ₛₜᵢₗₗ ₐₘ
imma be honest all of those are blocks minus the small a and ¡
lol
best of luck i am out for the night
night
what's a good ~100 brown switch keyboard?
what's a good ~100 brown switch keyboard?
@quasi shuttle 100%?
sorry $100
yeah size is pretty important lol what u want
i like liquify
I highly recommend the apex pro for anything less than $200. I just got one and I love it, but I don’t know if it’s worth that
so whats a good fingertip mouse at or under $50usd?
so whats a good fingertip mouse at or under $50usd?
@fickle rover viper mini
g305
g203
has anyone used the aptkl can i get a honest review and opinion on it
i want brown switches
clicky keys gross and linear ew
and imma be typing a lot
so
middle ground
speaking of which, good cherry mx brown 60% or tenkeyless keyboards under $60usd anyone recommends?
well nvm seems they dont exist
@fickle rover hyperx is having a sale rn. i picked up their alloy origins core TKL for 62 bucks and it has aqua tactile switches which is suppose to be a cherry brown clone
also if youre in the market for Browns, look into Linear switches as well because Browns feel like linears
:(
i only ordered it last friday
guess it didnt last long
i suppose not
YOOOO
POG
lets gooo lol
ur welcome
@fickle rover blue keyboard has Cherry Brown for reference
b&w keeb is Alloy Origins Core with Aquas
also i wish i had Clicky Blues in hand for reference
comparing how louder it is compared to these
yeah ive heard blue is just a brown but clicky sounding
also i love the keycaps on the blue keyboard
@fickle rover https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=4282
thx ❤️
@fickle rover heres a better sound test lol https://youtu.be/C5Uuk3qdtwU

Check out the keyboard here on Amazon:...
yessir
u can customize it with their software
any color u want in each key
also they have effects and stuff like that and macros the whole shabang
thank streamer Valkyrae for the code lmao
lmaoo
What’s a good cheap mouse with a couple macro buttons
im thinking about the steelseries rival 3 or the rival 310
Whats the code
wot
@amber oracle can you send a pic of ur egrodox/thumb cluster?
@tight pulsar eh? i could? but for what?
its just the regular cluster?
(and sorry for the long delay, i saw the notify and then promptly forgot about it again)
i just wonder what u use the keys by the thumb cluster for
depends on the layer
the base layer
hm
gimme my time :(
:P
ive been playing with the idea with getting a cheaper split board for classwork and other things with a lot of typing but its so foreign to me with ortho and the thumb cluster
IF you dont have a solid grip on 10 finger typing, it is going to be a fairly uphill change for you
u mean like touch typing? or something else
oh yeah im fine with that ortho just looks kinda funky
it is
lol yeah
there is no "magical" way of testing it either
have u heard of the iris?
and IF you do get a board, its a question of committing to it and sticking to it
because your habits WILL fight you
re: iris: ... no?
or maybe?
yeah looks kinda hard to get used to
yeah
that seems like a interesting thing to add to the list of "no. no! no no. i totally do NOT want this at all!!!!" list
thank you, may you sit on something pointy!
lol i assume u dont like the limited cluster
ahh i feel that
why cant we just have hardlight projection keyboards
would solve all this ergo nonsense
(as in, it would not be a problem for future gens)
Is the quest 2 better than the rift s?
Obvs it depends on the gpu
But lets say I had a 3070
hm so with keycaps and and switches and everything i could get a iris for 130
curse this stupid ergo board stuff my poor wallet
just use a normal board silly
yeah i was but i wanted a tactile build so i was gonna build up another pcb and its only like $40 more for an ergo tactile board so like :(
do you like normal boards?
yeah i have a 60 coming
then why get another
because i must have
do you
probably
you could buy something else fir that much
hm i could buy headphones
@tight pulsar I have something that might interest you if you're looking to spend $130 ish
you mind IEMS?
what do you have now?
fee
whatever
you know the 58X are like $170 minus tax right? 😂
yah
oh okee, I saw you were looking to spend $130
ya naed and i recommend hd58x and dt 990
the 130 was just how much the keyboard would be and i was also looking at getting new audio stuff not the headphone budget
yeah and I totally didn't get a 2080 super for free
👀
👀👀👀👀
UPGRADED PC37X?
YES
u cant buy it rn tho sad
looks pretty cool
hm
Quote from the new review concerns me.
"There is a bit of a problem though, the PC 38X cost $170 on Drop which puts it right in the firing line of the Drop HD 58X"
$170?? I was hoping this would replace the PC 37X instead..
from some dude on drop
true
It's not really meant to compete with the 58x probs
after all it still has a mic attached, good for gamers who don't ususally have a separate mic
upgraded driver is a big deal tho
freq response seem a bit high in treble
rip
looks kinda bad
if it was 120$ sounds pretty good
true
170$ ehhhh
170 get close to other good headphone
and back to the IEM topic Nuclear, have a look at these if you wanna try something strange but probably pretty good:
https://drop.com/buy/gold-planar-gl20-planar-iem
says sold through :(
yeah they're supposed to be $130 I saw the price earlier this week
at least I think they are
ive never seen planar in iem
What is the best smoothest and kinda clickey key switch in mech keyboards website?
Personal preference, mostly. Cherry Reds are generally a good bet, but it's best to try before buying a keyboard
oki
reds arent rly clicky tho probably gateron browns/blues
are any steelseries mice worth it
are any steelseries mice worth it
@warm spruce Sensei Ten and Rival 3 wireless are great
but SS mice are seriously behind in innovation compared to Logitech and Razer currently. their stock rubber cable and teflon feet are yikes
@winter orbit whats up
@tacit wing thanks I was thinking of getting a rival 3 wired but I'm not sure now
@warm spruce the rival 3 is great for its price, I would also look at the Logitech g203
@warm spruce the rival 3 is great for its price, I would also look at the Logitech g203
@proper sphinx vouch. g203 was my first main and i actually miss that shape
@tacit wing thanks I was thinking of getting a rival 3 wired but I'm not sure now
@warm spruce I'd get a 203 over a wired Rival 3 any day
but the battery performance of the wireless impressed me ngl. its a great G305 competitor
@tacit wing it’s depends on his hand size and grip style, even though the rival 3 wired is as good as the g203 sensor wise the shape may seem better to some people

So whats the opinion of the new deathadder wireless
hey so this is the first time im building a pc and mr1111 put this together for me
how is it
You might want to single out the Mouse+Keyboard+headset+webcam so people know what you want opinions on :)
I think everything else is fine.
okay
i mean i have a great mic picked out for streaming
iceball plug and play
i just need headphones and a camera
Just saying, they might have somethin for ya :)
(if they're online that is, they could all be sleeping and you'd likely have better luck tomorrow)
oh alright
yea its late
i just wanted to thank you so much for helping me
im going to head to bed thank you again @daring zenith goodnight! 🙂
You're welcome :)
@tacit wing i know there was a conversation about them about a week ago?
so, try a ctrl+F
seems like its well received, thanks
you are very welcome :)
but for more details and having an extended chat, talk with @brisk parcel about it @tacit wing
is he a rep? @amber oracle
hey naed i need some help with picking a keyboard and mouse
want a mouse with 20 buttons?
want a keyboard that is 1 meter wide?
etc etc
there is something for just about everyone in those markets
you are very welcome :)
🙂
@brisk parcel I’m thinking of buying the pc37x but I’m still not sure if they are pretty good for the price
ive owned the pc37x for more than a year and can say they have great sound quality
mic is pretty good as well
material is iffy for me at$120 price range
the muffs and headrest are good
the whole body is plastic
except for the rubber bit on the mic of course'
its has a detachable cable but its proprietary with a volume nob on the right can
the last thing id say is be careful using the mute function on the mic stick
after moving it up and down over and over the mechanism on mine seems to have failed slightly
now when ever i mute myself whatever i listen to through the speakers transmits to the mike somehow
i got these when they went on sale for $90 bucks with every youtuber sponsering them last year
im upgrading next week to wireless cans that are next tier in pricing to see how that compares
I brought 6 fans (3 in 1 bundle)x2 .... both has its own ARGB Hubs. my case has ARGB hub. can i connect my fan's ARGB hubs into case ARGB Hub ? will it work ?
@lavish bridge what cans did you buy?
@tacit wing I hear you need some info on the 58Xs
😂
do you prefer listening to music or music and game?
also @calm cobalt not sure man i would wait for more peeps to answer
@brisk parcel i bought these for gaming, music, vr, and casual use
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HKVCVSY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
ATH, not bad not bad
I have a few other recommendations right around that pricerange if you're ever looking to gift to a friend ❤️
its me ur friend i like the hd58x
do you prefer listening to music or music and game?
@brisk parcel i actually enjoy both and put time to both equally
Ill hit you up if that comes up but id like to know your recommendations regardless
@tacit wing ah okay cool! yeah man go for the 58Xs you'll be happy
i just want to dip my toes into open-backs and see if the 58x is a great first choice
got it
if you like a slightly wider soundstage and a little more "rumbling" bass instead of a punchy bass, then I'll help you with a quick mod once you get them
there's foam behind the metal grille on the earcups, all you gotta do is pry off that grille and take the foam out 😂
also do you think that a budget audio
interface will be able to drive these cans?
idk if 150 ohms is considered demanding
well what's your current interface?
Behringer UM2
I have a G6 so I can't really attest to that, and hmm let me have a look never heard of it
i do plan to upgrade in the future though
but just want to know for now if my setup is adequate enough
its pretty bare bones i got it on OfferUp for a good deal the UM2
alright good to know
but for upgrading I would totally look at the schiit modi and magni, both $100
and then a tube amp in the future, sennheiers LOVE tubes
but they're more expensive
so it takes a bit of saving
will the schiit stack make these cans sound better oppose to just upgrading my interface?
ATH M40x
oh you'll love them
M40Xs are also one of the only ATHs I recommend, I just don
don't like many of their cans*
and @amber oracle I appreciate that I come off as knowing my stuff
only really been diving into this stuff since march but I dove hard
im actually pulling the trigger rn
your ears will love you

when things first sell on drop, they're a lower price for early buyers and yeah sometimes it goes on sale
my second choice was the 250ohm DT 990 Pro but i reckon those are so much harder to drive than these
yeah i leaned towards the 58x more bc ive been hearing alot of it sounding similar to headphones twice its' price or more
figured its alot more headphone for the money
specifically similar to the HD600? idk if you can confirm that
actually, they're more similar to the 660S when you remove the foam and the paper over the driver if you're comfortable with removing the paper
otherwise, yes they're about the 600, but kinda an in-between for all 3
alright, good talk! thanks for answers and reclarifications
@brisk parcel
some dudes in the r/headphones discord telling me to get 6xx instead of the 58x but i already pulled the trigger
can i have some help
i want a cam to stream myself and i dont know what should i use
my budget is 200$
@tacit wing trust me for gaming the 58Xs are better
while the 6XX are better for music listening, they're worse for gaming, and gaming is important for you
don't let them make you feel bad about buying the 58X
@sour lily most webcams are fine
just look at the camera quality and if you care the brand
i would reccomend a logitech g webcam as logitech webcams are really solid and tons of twitch streamers use it
okay
thank you
and one more qustion i have the snowball plug and play is that a good mic? or should i op in for the blue yeti plug and play
i would rather the samson q2u than the snowball
if you want more near price of yeti i'd say the elgato wave 1
okay
yeah the 300ohm impedance seems pretty daunting. i wanted something that my phone can drive as well with no hiccups if i choose to. also judging from what everyone is saying, i dont think i can pay the 50 dollar premium as it is my first open-back experience
maybe everyone who knows better can spot the difference but i probably cant
@brisk parcel Hey, you know anything about the Sennheiser Momentum Earbud lineup?
@hazy fiber totally man! Give me one second I’m about to get a shower
Sure thing 🙂
Thoughts on the Logitech G815/915? I was touching it at Best Buy the other day and fell in love with the way it feels
should i get g432 headset
Thoughts on the Logitech G815/915? I was touching it at Best Buy the other day and fell in love with the way it feels
@arctic garnet do u know what switches were the on you tested?
i think wireless connectivity and the low-profile design has to be one of your priorities to make the 915 really worth your money but otherwise, if you just love the way it feels just get another keeb with the same switches you tested
Tbh, I can't' remember what type of switches they were. But honestly, I don't need the wireless connectivity. But the low profile and the way that the keys felt, were awesome
G815 good keeb, i didnt even know there was a wired version
Anyone here have the Corsair k95 platinum that can tell me if it's actually worth the price tag?
dont have one but no imo
If you're looking at it for the 180$, no
Hot
Anyone here have the Corsair k95 platinum that can tell me if it's actually worth the price tag?
@waxen hare they are really nice keyboards, but unless you really want synchronization with iCue, there are cheaper options
I'd say go for it if you can get one for under 120 on eBay
@hazy fiber sorry about that man I almost forgot
now about the momentums, which ones are you looking to get?
@brisk parcel praise where praise is due mate
well thank you 🥺
not to be that guy but life has not been the best lately and talking to all you helps me a lot, you're all super nice(well most of you 👀 ) and you all listen (also well, most of you 👀 )
I feel you man
Considering the #2s, but I heard some mixed reviews about the sound
Basically I'm tied between these and waiting for some wf1000xm4s
alright so about all that, I assume you're looking for the earbuds lineup? they do have momentum over-ears which aren't bad but the price is a bit much
I specifically heard that the timing isn't as good as the wf1000xm3
And yes, I have some wh1000xm4s and a pair of 6xx (pre-ordered) for my studio & daily headphones
okay, well in that case, do you care if they're wireless or not?
I have some earbuds that you might enjoy, wired and wireless, including the momentums and some others
Yes, I already have some nice in ear monitors which I may sell (se535s). Looking more for some gym/everyday truly wireless ones with a good balance of accuracy and bass
alright, I got the perfect thing then, so yeah the momentum 2 TWS are good, but I have a few other options you might find interesting
Sweet, do tell
I'm pretty sure I will be selling my SE535s b/c I won't really use them when I get my 6xxs. Like the only time I need earbuds is gym/skiing, and then I want a bit more bass than my 535s can offer. I'll probably sell them and get an amp like a Schiit Magni Heresy or something
But if you have any amp recommendations for a 6xx I'm open to suggestions for that as well 🙂
so, I've got these boys from 1more, I've heard great things about them but have only tried them once and was pretty impressed. they've got a driver and a balanced armature which really allows the mid-highs and highs to come out without washing away the mid-lows and lows:
https://usa.1more.com/products/true-wireless-anc-in-ear-headphones-ehd9001ta
and these boys from creative, I have them myself and personally for $80 on sale they're a steal. don't have ANC but the seal is really good for blocking out sound anyway. they also include SXFI, which if you actually convert music to your phone individually in like FLAC files and such, it's a really good surround sound actually. they have a graphene driver which is really intersting by itself, kinda a unique sound:
https://us.creative.com/p/headphones-headsets/creative-outlier-gold
also have pretty good bass
Hmm, I'm not a big fan of that first design and they look to have a little worse sound than the wf1000xm3s from whathifi and soundguy reviews. The creatives look tempting though
yeah I agree with the statement on the 1mores, I have their quad drivers I rave about and they're still the best earbuds for like $150 up to $300-ish I've tried
their wired stuff is better for sure
but they're not bad for the $160 price
Yeah. I'm still so torn about whether I should wait for sony to drop new ones. I expect them to have a good refresh like with the wh1000xm4s
And I like Sony's sound tuning
hisssss
You don't?
Fair enough. It's a little warm, but I like that for my daily drivers
Anyhoo, thx @brisk parcel. You have any amp recommendations for 6XXs? I'll have a maximum of $400 to spend on em, but I'd rather stay under $200
yeah I do actually, so a modi and magni are like the go-to for all of sennheiser's cans, they just scale so well
but, for some reason
the 58X and 6XX particularly LOVE tubes
so, honestly, whatever DAC you have doesn't really matter as long as it's good, and for AMPs, honestly there's a few tube amps around $200 that could probably work, I haven't looked in a hot min tho
alright I gotta go help outside my fam is working so
be back later I promise, just throw me anouther @ ❤️
If you getting the $200 one id say its not worth it to me
Blue mic filter is just marketing bs to me
U have one to reccomend
im just buying it for headphones only
im not gonna use the mic on it
How do you wanna use? Just on your computer or everything?
just my computer
Does it need to be wireless?
What’s a good Bluetooth/wired 60% keyboard for 150$ and under
If you want the best sounding headphones wired gives you the best experience, bluetooth and wireless tech has some latency but if your ok with that
@rough warren ducky mecha frozen llama 130$
Ill get wired then
Which ones tho
I also want a mic
There are options for having wired and wireless which i bought recently and getting Oct 1
what do i get tho
cough surround in headphones is one of the worst gimmicks on the market
Build quality well last you awhile
bet
And yes i was just about to talk about that
how long
Surround sound is a gimmick
well im playing fps and sound is a big thing
Well these are gonna be fine if you plug them in, if using wireless their may be a very smol hiccup in latency
hmmm
gaming for audio in general is gimmick, good heaadphones better than gaming headphones
It uses bluetooth, can you use that?
um yea
They could be really comfortable for you or not for me
Wait but idk
wireless
the latency thing u said is making me scared
ive had bad experience with wireless keyboards
once
Bluetooth 5.0 is what it uses
i couldve won like 10k
Its one of the latest tech

but how will the latency be
like how much ms
And how long will it last until it breaks, etc.
From the reviews ive sen on YouTube they say it's very very miniscule but I haven't used it yet so I don't know for sure
It has insane battery life
40+ hours
I mean its made out of real good quality material so i dont think it will break if you drop or throw it abit
But than again, your supposed to take care of them
Does it come with aux
Is the shp9500 good
Ive heard good things from Phillips but are those wireless?
Well, yeah u can get those and youll have really good sounding headphones for cheaper
https://media.tenor.com/images/a1492384446f301c2f9fae8baf52990a/tenor.gif
Oops my bee
Didnt mean to post that
The only thing is you wont have wireless or a mic
The audio technica ones are one of the best and cheapest wireless set youll buy for a long time i believe
which microphone should i get
Im looking to use those for a long time
It has built it mic but if you wanna buy a boom mike you can
idk about wireless but wired, something like the shp9500, shp9600, dt770/990 pros are nice
blue ember nice for speach, does pick up a bit of bg noise if that a problem with you
also xlr, so you would need interface
Im not too knowledgeable about that market so sadly idk
Or which one is best*
the headphones? they all good really, comes down to personal preference. i want either the dt 770 pro or dt 990 pro because they are neutral sounding and good for monitoring
i am not much of a wireless user, i will just say to keep in mind that wireless costs a lot more because they must include a dac and amp which is not needed in wired because it is already integrated into pc. the quality of them can vary. but on the plus, no wires can be nice and just overall flexability
Hope that works out for you, the mike i have no clue sorry
Imma use only headphones for dat hyperxcloud2
Cuz it has 2 ear things that come with it
@west hornet any microphone reccomendations?
what price range
the best all in one solution id say is the elgato wave 1
wave 3 good too, but some features are not needed for most people, the main differences are the 3 has more controls and it has 96kHz recording which is just a nice to have and only really useful for people that do audio recordings, songs, etc
the plosive rejection on the elgato is actually decent so i think you can get away without a pop filter
it also has a clip guard so you don't hurt listeners ears
I just use old soup cans with string for my comms
a plosive is when you blow air basically, this especially happens when you say something with a "p" or a "b," and the wind can get very loud("pop")
and the clip guards basically makes it go the mic should never get to deafening levels
Cant find on us version
it is pretty popular, maybe try elgatos website
i guess any arm that will support the weight and has good reviews, i've only ever used in person the blue compass, rode psa1, and auray bai2x, but those ones are a bit on the expensive side
what do wave extension rod do
might just be to make the mount come off the stand or mic arm a little further for clearance
clearance on arms was a notorious issue with the shure sm7b but should be fine with elgato, just for convenience
somehting like this might work https://www.amazon.com/Microphone-TONOR-Adjustable-Suspension-T20/dp/B082W4B7SX/
Ok
where can i get some cheap O rings for my outemu blue switch keyboard
mushy
mushy
Product details ●sizes: 8 x 5 x 1.5 mm ●This for one bag of 140 O-rings of a specific type. ●1.5 mm: Most O-rings are this size. They won’t do much to affect travel distance, but they will reduce noise. · Material: Industrial-grade rubber · Compatible with Cherry MX and Cher...
I'm saying o rings make keys feel mushy
browns
o rings make ur mechanical keyboard feel like a membrane
@tight pulsar are u there rn
these are the switches, right? https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-invyr-holy-panda-mechanical-switches
also what else do i need to buy
keycaps and the frame, right?
idk yet
hmmm
either those or mx browns
holy pandas are really nice
theyre quiet but tactile, right?
mx browns are kinda mushy imo
yeah
yes but no
thats why i was leaning towards the pandas
they arent quiet, but they arent loud either
so like inbetween
they're relatively quiet
i would need 90 for a tkl keyboard
thats $105 just for the switches...
what about red silents @sharp kindle ?
Im looking for keyboard suggestions if anyone has some good ones, I would prefer one that has quieter switches as an option and I would like one that has some rgb keys, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Tactile or no, and budget?
I'm not good with kbs but some info people would likely want.
@waxen hare I just got the asus rog strix scope keyboard with cherry reds and I love it
My first mechanical keyboard. So I can’t speak to the switches. But I play mostly fps and it is serving me well. I really like having the enlarged ctrl bar
@young crown ill be on in like 20 if u want more info cause theres a large difference with mx browns and those
Sorry, yeah I would prefer linear switches, and budget would be <$150
this entire keyboard is cheaper than just the switches for the pandas lol
plus its got some nice colors
i was thinking maybe red silents?
okay so lemme start this big paragraph with 1 thing
cookies!
no i wish
Chocolate cake!
no me flaming drop
i like red velvet
banana tofffee?
holy pandas from drop are like hella overpriced, if you want holy pandas get the glorious ones (they actually use the good housings and not the pom housings which was a whole other rant in itself) its like $75 for 108 when they start selling soon
cookkie
and that food derail attempt has just left me craving croissants from the local baker ... dammit!
so the main differences between mx browns and holy pandas is gonna be sound, feel, and tactileness. obviously they will be louder and better sounding arguably and feel smoother, but tactileness is the main thing (duh mx browns are like scratchy reds). if you havent experienced many high tactility switches like t1's, koalas, holy pandas, yok pandas, zealios v2, its gotta be a heavier/fatiguing feeling than low tactility switches like mx and gateron browns at first. check the ltt blind test for the tactiles and notice how a lot of people dont like the nicer tactiles because they feel really heavy (thats the much larger tactile bump). and the wonderful thing about tactiles are how different they are vs other tactile switches (where the tactile bump is, spring weight, tactile bump size). a lot of people hype the holy pandas and other super high tactile switches as "tactile endgame" because they have the most tactility, when this isnt always better. a decent amount of people like mid tier tactiles, such as vintage mx browns (have a bigger bump/smoother and modern ones) and ergo clears, which have smaller bumps so id recommend grabbing some and testing which u like. also every tactile switch sucks when you try topre so just go topre master race
Yay I like walls
line breaks mate
Yes
Because
those
make
it
less
annoying
to
read
:P
i still have precalc to do so i just wrote that as fast as i could
thanks nachos, i appreciate it
yeah if u want another paragraph or switch suggestions just @ me again
yes naed :)
pcb, stabilizers, plate (could do a plateless build but thats a lot more advanced), case, usb cable, keycaps
or you could go full on zack mode and write out two 2000 character message long vr headset mini summaries
oh jeez
ok
that sounds a lot more expensive than just a ducky one 2 tkl lol
keyboards = black hole for money :)
yeah p much
i wanna get this, but the switch selection is whats making me not so sure
i was thinking silent reds
but idk
well silent reds and holy pandas are pretty much opposite of each other
well crap
but if u want a semi cheap custom board with f row and arrows id suggest the id80 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001217625604.html?
Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
yeaaahhh.... i think im just gonna get the ducky lol
whatever enjoy your lame plastic case with lame stock cherry mx switches
its only 500
but yz said it sounded like a kc 1/65 and thats like 2k so yeah mines cooler
@young crown if you have like 250 bucks to spend something like a Drop alt or ctrl with halo trues is good
thanks for the info, imma get a ducky one 2
ducky is ok
have fun
i feel like i was the only bozo stupid enough to get the drop alt
dont get me wrong its a great keyboard but its kinda overpriced
@brisk parcel Hey man, I have a follow up from earlier. Do you think this DAC is
solid for my 6XX (and likely Magni Heresy AMP) https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-grace-design-standard-dac
really for someone who doesn't care about keyboards. a ducky will get the job done
i probably already entered the blackhole to Audiophile equipment after i hit the order button on the 58x's yesterday
and honestly a magni Heresy is good but Idk the diff between it and the magni 3+ tbh
and oh dino you have no idea lmao
wait til you want more and buy the 6XX
just for music
The heresy and 3+ sound is indistinguishable
ah, another lamb for the slaughter?
then you're like "you know what, I want ones with crazy imaging for gaming"
:P
then you go and buy some planar magnetics
hmm i think i will upgrade my mic setup first bc mine currently sounds like a MW2 pre-game lobby
and yeah then you got your headphones for gaming and your headphones for music, then you start looking at warmer sounds, neutral sounds, "signature" sounds, tube amps vs solid state amps(what you're used to), different types of tubes themselves, modding headphones yourself such as replacing the magnets on the 58X, balanced cables, making your own cables
I can keep going
I can hear your wallet crying from here
Yep lol
i went into a rabbit hole of Z Reviews last night
LMAO
yes Zeos is the man
I enjoy his content
and watching his vids on the 6XX and 58X will make you very happy ❤️
Like I was just gonna get the 6XX and then I was decided I wanted an amp and dac. -$200
i love how unapologetic he is and the non scripted reviews
it's great I know
I got a lot of my recommendations from his site, hifi guides actually, I started to listen to all those cans for myself, etc
anything and everything I could
I am somewhat controlled atm, I plan to get 6xx and schiit stack and I did after some time, nothing else yet
Well I did get earbuds
At least I'm selling my SE535s. Those beastys were super pricey
ooh what earbuds
