"that "sounds" like your input being "glitched/locked/bugged"" <- that
which indeed leads to RMA
or at least trying to reach out to Ducky and see if they have any knowledge
ya I’d see if I can rma it that would be the easiest thing to do
Okay, thanks for the help! I will try emailing then tomorrow.
you are very welcome, best of luck :)
😂
Reason: Bad word usage
Can anyone help me find a Ethernet that can be used outdoors that is waterproof and protected from the sun. I’m need to run a Ethernet from my second floor to my basement
👍 handled in general
anyone know anything about the MSI Optix MAG270VC2
getting a keyboard and monitor for my bday and im looking for a good monitor for 150-250
@night vessel the Ducky One 2 full size has really good rgb its around 100
sorry im a day late
and gmmk is pretty good if you like trying different switches but ive heard the rgb is ok but not as good as the ducky
Or the TKL ducky
full size is lame
but I need dedicated keys
l a y e r s
Logitech g305?? good or no
Im saying like review wise because i prefer the wireless but i didn't know if the de;ay was bad
It's far enough less than the human reaction time
Human lag is 200 to 300
Any good microphone/headphone/headset options out there for under 100$?
My response time is 160-200ms
@golden bone Pretty good mouse but is on the smaller side
Does anyone know the best deal for a 240 hz monitor? 144 hz as well?
@dense portal for 240hz id go with benq zowie’s refurb monitors. u can get a 240hz high quality monitor for like $300. as for 144 there are a million options so id pick whichever has the best color options. up to u tho
i think the best 144hz monitor under $200 is the g241 i don't know best overall though
Do I need a audio mixer if I’m only using on pc for gaming and streaming?
there are other things you can possibly do, you technically don't need a mixer but can be useful to some, as a digital placeholder some people use voicemeeter as a mixer
if you are using a xlr mic you would some kind of interface tho, can be a mixer
good wifi usb for around 25 dollars?
also plug n play
or software that I can find online, not disk installation
gunther do u not have a sparr m.2 slot? if u do i’d suggest using that over usb
spare*
pcie slot u mean?
You can put wifi in an m.2 slot too
Can anyone vouch for the HyperX Cloud Alpha S?
Or the Logitech G Pro X?
USB option much more convenient
pcie is preferred but if it is not for long term use usb is fine, i would just look for something that can handle your net speeds with some overhead and good reviews, etv.
Anyone know how much a 360hz will cost?
if i would take a guess at least 500usd on release
When it go a release?
Does drag clicking actually make you click faster, or did my brother just find tons of bs on YouTube and buy a new mouse for no reason? 😂
released was planned for fall i believe but was likely delayed with pandemic
also clicking speed heavily relies on the capabilities of the person
That's what I thought
usb wifi does not last long ?
bruh playing osu on a membrane keyboard is like pain
ok yes it can be pain
What are some good budget web cams for under $40
whots good price for razer viper sceond hand aud
webcam, your best options is probably phone. webcam prices are inflated and can't find much that is at least decent under 100usd. unless you have other options like a phone or dslr laying around
Does anyone know if the Finalmouse Ultralight 2 Capetown is comfortable in big hands?
Does anyone have suggestions for a starting webcam?
@calm cobalt depends on condition
as i said earlier, unfortunately the best bet rn due to circumstances is your phone via a app like droidcam or ivcam, etc. if you have a modern phone it would likely be much better quality than a standard webcam, only issue with it is some people are bothered by setting it up(which i think is really just about finding a place for it) and some apps like in the case of ivcam cost 10usd for the full version which would still be much cheaper assuming you already have a phone
traditional webcams are simply overpriced or impossible to find nowadays 😦
ah that sucks, but thank you for the insight!!
i have a question, i have argb fans and my mobo has no 3pin connectors. can i buy some sort of controler?
I have a question can your put a audio controller in a DVD drive bay in my computer case?
@amber thicket there is a deepcool RGB converter on amazon and Newegg.
Anyone know of a good way to reduce background noise on mics whether or be software or accessories? My hyperx quadcast literally picks up everything
What GPU do you have @lyric fable ?
GPU? Currently the GTX 1080 building a new computer though it’ll have a RTX 2070 super or better later
RTX voice then
assuming they haven't patched the trick to let you run it on the 1080
Ooo I didn’t even know that existed
It's very nice
Thanks I’ll look into it I should be completing my new build later this or next month.
extremely good
i would just be careful about leaving rtx voice running all the time when you aren't using it
i've had some. experiences.
lol
@proper sphinx would that fry the pins or anything?
@amber thicket I haven’t used it but all the review look positive, and there aren’t any big problems mentioned.
Thanks dude
Any good gaming headset for pc
pc37x is decent
thick
yos
Noice
Can anyone tell me if this is worth 25$?
Because I have no idea what this is
Other than a speaker w subwoofer
it looks like a no-name 2.1 speaker system.
which unless you dont like your ears, i would not buy
Okie
I know some about audio brands but I couldn’t tell a good set by just looking at em
I knew it was a bit old, it being in a savers and all
that logo on the front "smells" a bit like a "oh, lets try and make it look kinda familiar" which in my mind makes me think: nope!
I was just like “Oh! Subwoofer and a pair of speakers for 25$?”
:)
It was little enough money that I’d be fine with it being junk but since this is a family trip my mom wanted to have me check if it’s worth it
imo, IF you could get it for a fiver... sure!
also, before you actually buy it (even IF only for 5usd) you need to hookup your phone or something to test that it doesnt rattle or hiss and in general just actually behaves like it is supposed to
That’d require more setup than the like 5 minutes I had to look at it
ye there are plenty of those cheapo speakers sets out there. i would avoid unless you at least know model and brand
anyone here have a turismo racing desk?
since i bought the desk, ive received multiple emails boasting of their 24 hour processing and quick shipment. here i am a week later with the tracking label created and fedex saying they have yet to receive the item to ship. a week isn’t really long but its the fact that im getting emails about the 24hr ship time even though mine hasn’t moved
apparently others have waited like a month
hey everyone, does anyone know a good headset under 50$?
I don't have a ton of exp. with budget headsets like that, but you could do Audio Technica ATH-M20x or these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013J7JM4K (though I hate Skullcandy with a passion)
yeah that's what i recommended him in #general-chat
he wants one with a mic so I asked if he had a standalone mic
and he said he does
Could likely pick up a set of Grado SR60s for a little over that (open backed, good sound)
You're not gonna get amazing sound for that price, but those should be decent
so I recommended him those since I heard they have good sound quality and are comfortable
ath m20x
Ah, good lol
I have turtle beach recon 200's and the sound wheel broke
so I'm getting an RMA for it
I recommended it but I have had negative experiences with Skullcandy with durability and CS
but it'll take 10-14 business days for my new headset to come
so I'm getting a new one too
lol I get that
I have the Bose 700s (eqv), but Sony has an edge in sound, NC, and features. Bost just has the design and durability
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZWNZKZD those look kinda cheap but should I get those?
I wouldn't :/
why is that?
IDK, they look like they'd break if you look at them wrong
whats the diff between the XM3 and XM4?
I haven't tryed many at that price point. Be guided by reviews 🙂
there's an xm4?
ive been eyeing the XM3 for a while now
Yes, coming out 21st
whats the diff between the XM3 and XM4?
@little crater Same processor, but I think they have new features like wear detection and stuff
I just know that the xm3s are amazing and I'd be happy even if the xm4s are only a touch better
i might snag a used pair of XM3s when the XM4 comes out lol
Good idea lol. Hopefully I can still get $200 out of my Bose 700s once I cash out for the XM4
They have speak to chat now
my 4.50BTNC cost me 100 on ebay a while back, and they're still going strong, but idk how much longer theyll go
Yeah. I love NC man
I'll be getting the WF1000MX4 too, once they come out (Sony's wireless earbuds)
nice
I love the sound of my recon 200's from turtle beach but the build quality sucks
IDK, I kinda want open backed, but I know I'll never use them once I get the XM4s
Plus $$$
ah okay lol
the aux port on my controller is broken so I use this usb adapter from corsair for my headphones 😦
Nice. I don't use aux anymore, except for my desk speakers
I know it has better sound quality than bluetooth, but still
I want good headphones for gaming but also really good for listening to music :/
Yeah, I don't really buy into "gaming headphones." For me, sound quality and accuracy takes president over arguablely non-existant gaming advantages
well I don't really look into gaming headphones since it's a gimmick
I just want one with good sound quality lol
Yeah. I mean if you don't mind sound leaks open backs are for you 🙂
would it be better if I just waited and saved up for like 80$
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086PKMZ21 those just released
ye gaming in audio is a gimmick because there is nothing that gives them an advantage over a good pair of headphones
you just need something pleasant to listen to
apparently the blackshark v2 is decent people say, im gonna have to look em up eventaully
might snag
i would
i kinda wanted to use my current headphones till they stop working
but i also kinda want these now lol
what do you use rn
those might be fine for now
one thing about the blackshark v2 x is the non detachable mic
the frequency response is kinda meh
nor can you move it away without it looking weird
18hz is alright
18hz for what headphones?
oh
the sony ones are 4-40000
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G5FQMJ8 how about that
cringe
idk man I'm just trynna find a good headset/headphones under 80
this for pc?
pc and ps4
i don't really care about looks
just going for quality and sound
what about astro a10's
astro makes some good ones
got my mouse today
why that emoji ;-;
its a cool mouse 😄 have a razer keyboard though lol
the emoji is :nice:
ohhh hehe i thought it was a thinking emoji idk
yeah i love it so far
my first gaming mous
wireless 😮
what is everyones fav mouse company
ive found logitech has the best. still think razer has v good keyboards
corsair is a solid company
i use razer mice only because i use razer keypads
yeah makes sense
and i want to have matching peripherals
otherwise i would probably get a logitech mouse lol
but logitech keypads suck
ive found logitech has the best. still think razer has v good keyboards
@eternal plank I'd disagree. Not a fan of logi mice :)
why so
ive held and used many logitech mice, i like them quite a bit
g502 gang
should i buy the sennheiser 450bt?
i own the older version, the 4.50BTNC
but i snagged em used for only 100 on ebay
theyre even cheaper now, and they def arent worth 200
lol
should i get model o? for minecraft. Ill drag click and bfly click on it
why so
@eternal plank had a budget mouse, was underwelmed with the software and general exp. Had a high end one, seemed meh in comparison to my Corsair mouse which cost way less
I'm not saying they are bad, but I think they are a little overrated
Maybe so
Corsair I think is underrated
And wdym the software @hazy fiber ?
The driver?
Logi's Gaming software to control macros and lighting
I'd agree, I don't see why everyone hates iCue, it's really nice unless it's buggy 🙂
i only had icue once and the cpu usage was too high to my liking, around 3-8%
Mine is below 1%, idk
¯_(ツ)_/¯
i need to try mt3 profile one day
is it the cmd key
probably idk which one they set it too
usually windows key would be where alt key is in that pic. but ye windows key can be labelled cmd or command
what are some good hotswappable 60% keyboards
mice are subjective, the g502 is a great mouse but some people don't like weight and shape
Any reccomendations for a sub 90 dollar keyboard? Was looking at the alloy origins core, but want to know if there is other good options?
SteelSeries Apex 3
Good morning everyone! I had a question about speakers and making them work with multiple computers without having to unplug the UBS from the back of one and plugging it in to another.
Is this the right forum for that kind of question?
Yep, you can ask speaker related questions in this channel
Guys never buy the artis 3
Don't buy Corsair virtuoso either
Don’t buy gaming headphones
dont buy
pc37x
I have a new widescreen monitor with 2 HDMI inputs, in one of them I am connecting my work laptop, and in the other I am connecting my PC tower for gaming. The monitor doesn't have built it speakers, so I went and bought some wireless speakers, where you would plug the small dongle or whatever into the tower. However, I thought it would be nice to be able to use the speakers for both the tower and the laptop (obviously not at the same time) without having to switch the dongle from one to the other every time. Any thoughts on how to best accomplish this?
Ok mr1 i see how it is
Don’t buy gaming headphones(with few exceptions)
if the speakers have wired too maybe you can toggle between using the wire and dongle
if it’s a usb dongle than usb slot, idk what other dongles there are for a speaker
hehe
Ok So fixing my Nephews Computer. Motherboard is a ASUS F2A55-M, CPU is AMD A10-6700, 16gb DDR3 Corsair Vengence, Adding a MSI Radeon RX-470 ARMOR OC 8gb GPU and a Wifi 6 chip to it. Originally I had the GPU in PCIEX16 lane 1 and the WiFi module on PCIEx16 lane 2. Wouldnt get any display at all either off onboard or GPU. Finally switched the GPU to PCIEx16 lane 2 and put the WiFi module into PCIEX1 lane. GPU originally Covered the X1 lane when it was on X16 lane 1. Now that I have Done that It boots off the GPU HDMI. Does anyone know why the heck this is?? PC Yeah I know its a older system. Its my old build that I built back up for him for Xmas last year. He only Plays Minecraft and It will play that with No Problems.
So I don't have any options?
@true plume tbh I'm not too sure, it could be just a weird bug that never got fixed, with how old that CPU is compared to the GPU, it could probably do that on some hardware configs
@calm cobalt that's a tough thing honestly, you might need some sort of reciever that can switch inputs? idek where to begin with that stuff
easiest and most cost-effective way would be to just switch the dongle
Aiight guys so I just hooked up my work space for Teens
Got some Steelseries apex 7 keyboard and Glorious Model O Matte white. Any recommendations for Mousepads that may have a contrast of white and black?
Or very artistic Mousepads I'm like at XL range so (30"+) × (16"+)
is the astro a50 wireless headset good for 300$
eh steel series has good ones too
@brisk parcel That makes sense since it is a DDR3 system. At least it had 2 full x16 lanes to work with.
Got the whole corsair set. Went from some cheap 2009 dell keyboard and mouse with outdated turtle Beach headphones to this
i get my desk and chair next week
webcam overpriced rn, best option is phone via droidcam, ivcam, etc. or gopro/dslr
...
The ting
Why cherry mx when Gaterons are nicer :P. I would recommend the gk61 @calm cobalt
Whatever you’d like.
Main ones are blue, brown and red
Blues are super duper clicky and loud. I love them
Reds aren’t very loud and clicky, they feel smooth on the way down.
Browns are like, 90% reds and 10% blues
blues suck
blues are too loud
:|
and yams kinda left out the main difference with browns they have a tactile bump same with blues (ignore the fact it says cherry
Yeah, forgot the word tactile was a thing, so I just didn’t say it lol
Here’s a video of my awesome blues
Outemu blues

Blue's are nice if you don't mind them being the loudest
Depends on what sound you want, what feedback you want
How quick they actually get activated
lmao nice sound test
What kinda keyboard is it
E-Element Z77 or smth. super cheap off amazon. great on a budget
the keycaps also look terrible
For $35 or whatever it was when i got it, it's nice. I can't complain
I am looking to add a second monitor and my computer only has one HDMI port. which is better to buy - USB3 to HDMI adaptor or Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI adaptor?
@calm cobalt I know someone who is selling a Corsair keyboard like you described. You could get it for much less than $150 too, I bet.
@brisk parcel if the computer mount that I bought has a USB port, with a cable coming out the back, could I get a splitter to then route that to both the desktop and the laptop, then just plug the speakers dongle into the port on the computer mount?
@mystic prairie I got you hold on let me find a link
Cant find a link but there from Steelseries there call ARCTIS 5 2019 Edition
pc37x
Cant find a link but there from Steelseries there call ARCTIS 5 2019 Edition
@rough warren the 2019 edition? i looked into getting a arctis headset but didnt know they put out a new version of the 5
2019 is what it says when I go to the steelseries website
I plan on getting these soon as well because my headset is dying and I’m tired of HyperX
I’ll look into those
My HyperX cloud stinger headset isn’t that good though like the told me about 2 years of life to these and it’s only been 5 months and I put them up every time I’m done using them
what are some 60% keyboards you guys suggest, hopefully around $50
I heard red dragon has some
They do
thoughts on the 2019 arctis 3 v 2019 artcis 5
@mystic prairie I honestly don’t see any difference between the 2 tbh maybe build quality and maybe a little sound quality other then MAYBE those 2 things your really just deciding whether or not you want to spend and extra 30$ on RGB
Oh and the artcis 5’s aren’t compatible with Xbox or switch and the artcis 3s are compatible with all major companies
balling, probably gonna grab the artcis 3
@lone lodge these are 2 good options I’ve seen reviews on both and they both performed great especially for the price
If you could splurge a little bit more the 50$ then obviously the red dragon one will give you better over all performance but if not that second keyboard is still a really great option
Oh and for people that are looking for a good mouse but aren’t trying to spend 100$+ the the Logitech G502 hero wired mouse is a really great option I use it myself and I love it
@calm cobalt Yeah, he is selling it for $115 on Amazon. Corsair K65 LUX RGB Compact Mechanical Keyboard - Cherry MX Red - RGB LED Backlit
Love not caring about sound quality

Join the audiophile world👀
Honestly, I’m looking to get some cheap actual headphones
Gonna upgrade my PSU and GPU before I do that though
ksc75/ksc75x 20usd
@swift lantern no i just have expensive ears
I'm saving up for the jubilee
go hd6xx
i mean if you want bass dt990s blow that out the water lol
Hmm
I would go dt990s before the jubilee
Those are closed back right
no open
Hmm
they are one of the best known open back headphones for good clean bass with nice treble
not as good as my hd6xx but still really good
clarity of the highs and amazing treble and sound separation
hd6xx if you listen to rock music blows the dt990s out the water on some songs and also jazz
I listen to 98% metal
hd6xx all the way
Bass though?
still good enough just not as much as the dt990s
make sure to get a tube amp
why is that? you need amp
Got one
what type of amp?
thats how most headphone companies are lol
those headphones are built like tanks
headset/mic combo under 50?
wireless preferred
for headset
prefer comfort over sound
any good headsets under 80$? don't care about looks, I just want good sound quality and build quality
@full kelp don't think you're gonna get a headset and a microphone for under 50$
😦
sorry 😦
@acoustic delta the Steelseries Arctis 3 2019 edition are pretty good
HyperX cloudX pros are also good as well
The Corsair HS headphones are pretty solid as well
I’ve tried the hs60 pro surround and it’s pretty nice for that price range
My first mechanical keyboard
personally i like 60%

does anybody have any tips on a gaming keyboard?
a decent gaming keyboard
a budget of 50?
60 % ducky one 2 mini
and a glorious model o?
is that good>
I want some headphones also
just got the basilik x hyperspeed what do you guys think about it
ive been using it for a while now
works great
i have had intermittent connectivity issues with it tho, but i think thats just because the usb is behind my pc
Do you need bluetooth for wireless mice?
They usually come with their own dongle
bluetooth mice usually have a lot of latency, most of the good ones use a usb dongle receiver as bob said
I love that word
Many good mice have bluetooth, but most of those also have a dongle and wired modes
Best bluetooth or wireless rgb gaming keyboard for under $75?
idk wireless is expensive
id say g pro wireless but its 150 dollars
but the logo changes colors
so yeah...
@calm cobalt If you can spare 10 more bucks you can get an Anne Pro 2
if you want a full keyboard then Razer blackwidow is good with cherry mx reds
it's wired
RedDragon K530 Draconic is a pretty good keyboard it’s got Bluetooth and really good RGB it’s 70$. It’s not the best but the reviews on it are pretty solid.
@calm cobalt ^
should i get k530 mini or ducky one 2 mini white
Gk61 :P
should i get viper or viper mini some1 pls help me
anybody know where to buy cherry g80's for cheap
@calm cobalt look at the keyboard I put up there^ it’s wireless and Bluetooth
Found this
Near exact copy of mine, just wireless, comes with a mouse and arm rest
Can someone recommend a good mouse for 50-60$
Ok thanks
What a good cheap gaming headset rn?
@onyx lynx have you looked into the mice yet?
I’ve been looking I can’t find one that doesn’t have it’s fair share of crappy reviews
@onyx lynx the Logitech G502 hero is a really good mouse I use it myself and I love it plus the reviews on it are amazing.
I would tbh it’s probably one of the best options for that price point.
Really? Crappy reviews? From where?
I would watch a video on the mouse or a couple before making any final decisions. But I highly recommend the G502 Hero
im having big troubgl with an elite series 2 and bluetooth disconnecting
anyone know how to fix this
Whats a better option for fps shooters, light mouse or wireless mouse?
personal preference really
I'd recommend wireless mice for fps. Cords bother me in competitive games and make my mouse move in unexpected ways. But yeah, personal preference
Ducky one 2 mini anybody?
Are cherry mx red or blue switches better on the ducky one 2 mini?
depends
what do u like
cherry red or blue
or is the question bout which is better in quality
or type
Quality yes @calm cobalt
Whats the lightest, wireless gaming mouse then?
@jovial scaffold pwnage ultra custom wireless, Logitech g pro wireless Razer viper ultimate.
Those $5 Chinese wireless mice on eBay are pretty dang light 👀
Ya, those are the ones I saw too @proper sphinx
Might just have to go for a ebay one tho. Pretty good value ngl
if I would put 150-180 into the webcam and microphone what would you guys recommend?
you shouldn't buy a webcam
their prices are super high
u should just use ur phone
@mossy viper
ok
hey got a new keyboard and its coming, I got silent red switches do you think it will be comfortable to type on
its becuase i got no idea how they would feel cause it will be my first time using a mechanical keyboard
I don't if I will get used to it becuase I think it has like 3mm of keytravel
and I am using the keyboard on the macbook pro 2017 so thee is like no travel
hey yall my corsair void elite headsets dingle freezes my pc everytime i plug it in, anyone know why?
dongle
@sterile jetty are there any other wireless peripherals nearby that could be interfering with it or a WiFi router?
Aight,I have 300 dollars to get a new mouse, keyboard, headset, and mousepad
I use claw grip and prefer TKL
Anyone have suggestions?
@wanton wagon for the keyboard get the glorious gmmk
with brown switches, and pbt aura caps it costs 87 bucks
and its hot swappable
for mouse, you can get the Glorious Model D or D-
main difference is the D- is smaller
great claw grip mouse
i use it
anne pro 2
he said he prefers tkl
o wait that ones 60%
thats a great mouse too
the battery lasts super long lol
but more expensive
damn he has a lot left over for a headset
and mousepad
i think its just down to preference
you can go VERY high for a headset
and get a razer gigantus v2 for a thinner harder pad
lemme check
they look good but for 10 dollars more you can get a better razer headset
link?
lemme get it
also i like wireless lol
Guide for the Model O wireless mod.
The files for the bottom plate are sold by PiranhaMouseMods on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PiranhaMouseMods
@wanton wagon you might have to scroll up to find the peripherals
why are my links getting deleted?
gaterons are just as good
what is the equivalent?
out of stock :/
hmm lemme find some
gateron clears are also linear
and they cost the same
wait they are also sold out
youll have to wait for a restock
kailh switches also work
assuming kailhs are bad?
Cherry tho
no theyre also rlly good
ik cherrys epic
personally have kailh speed slivers in my build
gaterons and cherrys are the same
and kailh is just a bit behind
I don't like Gateron non-browns
is there just like a prebuilt with cherry reds thats good?
Weird actuation points and all
doesnt have to be 60%
Tkl
if theres more options for full its fine
ik u said you liked tkl
K70 but expensive
i thought corsair was bad?
darn that link isnt allowed
Bad stabs on the space bar
@silk canyon just dm me
And people don't like the texture of the keycaps
ok
But they are still pretty good for gaming branded kb afaik
Oh and non standard bottom row I think
corsair sucks and their bottom row is like stupid
yep
I still choose to like them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i think hes getting a ducky tkl board
Build quality is decent
with cherry mx reds
have u seen their stabs @daring zenith
they rattle more than a spray paint can
Still an upgrade xD
what are your favorite keyboards?
anyone got any suggestions for a keyboard? im thinking of getting the gmmk with khail box white switches
hey anyone wanna help me pick out a keyboard? i have no idea what to look for
Main thing is which switches you want, the rest is mostly build quality
:v and price
@weary mango the Glorious GMMK compact is a great all around board
you can swap out the switches easily because its hot swappable
and its 90 bucks for gateron browns, pbt keycaps and full rgb backlighing
i want something clicky and i have 150 budget
ideally i could have a numpad and macro keys but separate so that i can take the main keyboard out to travel
but still have the full set at home
@swift lantern that depends on preference. But, because of the design (open back) there will be a lack of "pressure"
which you might be used to having when you are thinking about bass.
but from a technical POV in regards to the sound playback itself? no. it wont lack bass.

@swift lantern look up info on the following "types" of headphones: Closed, semi-open and open
that will give you some context for what i am talking about in more detail :)
I want my brain to vibrate
that can technically be done with all of them
I am aware of headphone types
have you tried them?
But I've only ever used closed
the best i can describe the difference is "more width/space" in the soundstage
Everyone says go with 6xx but due to padding I hear jubilee are "warmer", they're also a tad cheaper so they seem appealing

all i can say is: Try and see if you can borrow a pair to have a listen
Not likely
as i said, that is the only real option, aside from buying a pair ofc :)
The 6xx do not lack in bass. Only thing it might lack in a little bit is sub bass
Sub bass
he most likely means "pressure" AKA bass you "feel"
Yes
I got old pair of Bose 901 2 speakers
@weary mango the switches on the Glorious GMMK are hot swappable so you can buy clicky switches and just pop them in. That'll raise the price to like 120 bucks. You can get either tkl, 60 percent or full size, and I still think its a great board for your budget.
If you like a low profile board look at logitechs low profile boards
@swift lantern yo dude so I see you’re talking about headphones
I need BASS
I have tried both the 6xx and 58Xs, and I own a pair of 58Xs myself
Personally, the 58Xs has bass that’s a little more direct, you can feel it in your head, but the 6XX has a more deep, rumbling bass you can feel almost in your chest
However, it’s not as pronounced in the 6XXs because there is no foam there, it’s just all open
But with a little EQ you can tweak that for sure
I have a sound blasterX G6 and I cranked the bass on mine only 15% and I was happy with it
It’s not really about how much bass, it’s about whether that bass cuts into the rest of the sound
So you’ll have to get used to it at first, but the bass is more than adequate I would say
Maybe not as much bass depending on what you’ve listened to, but the quality will be steps above for sure
By 15% I meant 15% above the stock bass
Just btw, sorry 😂
I've never owned headphones that costed more than $70 tbh
I mean that’s not too bad
I've tried beats and stuff, man are they underwhelming
I've had earbuds with better sound than beats
You need to step out of the consumer brands and into the audiophile brands
Sennheiser, BeroDynamics, AT, etc
But yeah i know what you mean
I own a pair of 1more quad drivers for my phone and I love those too
So, my honest opinion, 6XX will have better sound quality, but a little less bass you can fix with EQ, 58X will be good OOTB, but won’t be quite as wide and a little less quality
Not to say they’re bad, I own them myself, they’re amazing for the price
Think of it as the 58X are just below the surface, and the 6XX are what broke the surface and went above it
But they’re both best in class
So you won’t be disappointed with either, but the 6XXs get their best use when run off an amp so remember that
I agree in general, but Sony has some amazing sound on their flagships
guess I'll save up for the 6xx
I got a fiio e10k and I'm fairly certain that'll be enough
granted they aren't very high impedance but with my current headphones I have to run them at like a 3 on the volume dial with the gain set to low, so I think they'll be fiiiiine
is the g502 any good?
yep
an all time favorite, subjective to the person tho
my g203 serves me well
since there's no returns from sennheiser anyway, would it be worth it to get an ebay pair or... don't even risk it
nvm
wait not nvm
like
MMMMM
100% positive feedback out of 1400 ratings seems pretty trustworthy
you really cant go wrong on ebay unless your dumb
you have 7 days, just slap some bids in there
I've had pretty good luck so far, my phone is from ebay actually
mine is as well lol
eh
yeah I saw that, no ratings though, no sale
seller has no reviews nvm
he totally could be legit
its just very hard to imagine
most people usually buy something before selling on ebay lol
also he takes way too good pictures for this to be his first time
wow they actually are his original photos too .... hmmm....hmmmm
HMMM

I want those darn headphonessss
the stabs?
If you're not annoyed by that sound you be you
The longer I have it the more it annoys me
if you can tolerate y'know, a mechanical keyboard, then you should be fine with the spacebar
beby
The space bar shouldn't rattle on release
On mechanical keyboards
At least good ones
I guess that wouldn't happen if it had an actuator at both ends
Stabs bad it do be annoying and you can do better with like 100$ for a kb so
ye the hd6xx was just amazing for the money especially when it came out, but even now when it is several years old it is still a fantastic value
so why are they more expensive btw
remember how you @swift lantern want a specific "sound" in your headphones? ... yeah .. dont be a baby about it right. You can surely use those Beat headphones from the bargain bin
It might not annoy you but it's starting to get on my nerves
because you are so focused on your own "feel" @swift lantern
I mean that'd be like if I got the 6xx and then I complained about them because they were pink instead of blue
that's what it feels like
my point being, what might matter to you, can easily NOT matter to someone else.
waifu edition headphones when
true
keep in mind, that goes both ways
i do have cat ear headphones somewhere
and you come across like an arse with a comment like the previous "dont be a baby about it" comment
but yes a lot of things in this chat like keyboard, mice, headphones is highly subjective.
then so be it
I've only ever used 1 other mechanical keyboard in my life to be fair
I do not recall what it's spacebar sounded like
its not only the "sound" its also the feel that is impacted by the stabilizers
rattle spacebar doesn't bother me that much, but i am also not very picky with keyboards
and for someone that types a LOT, having "wobbly" keys is annoying as all heck
true
all I know is my keyboard was $35, it's mechanical, rgb, and I can't complain about it
you can complain about it all you want
its (thankfully) other peoples choice if they want to listen thou :)
Okay it's not too much of a rattle sound but more just a bad sound from the space bar from the stabs being bad
The rattling was more feeling
Prob not unless like I get my own stabs or smth
you can, it however then becomes a question of convenience.
And it is true the keycaps tend to move around a little, but doesn't annoy me too much
i have some clients that are VERY particular about their caps NOT moving
hmm
I wonder why they wobble like that
seems like the kind of thing that would be easy to prevent, could be wrong though
lack of precision in the manufacturing process
Just a build quality thing I'd say
I can't tell if my keyboard is wobbling or if my desk is that crappy
Try to move the frame around
darn it's the keyboard
The frame prob wouldn't be shaking around, since there's usually rubber bits on the bottom
Rip
no I have the little leg doo dads out
it's one of the legs
it never bothers me in game though
Another build quality thing
which again, comes back around to personal preference :)
daughterboard works hype
Ya, reddragon products reflect their price, that's what I'll say.
it really on does so on keypresses when it's like the f6 key and onward
hmm
wait still does it with no legs must be the desk HMM
I bought my desk from a guy secondhand for legit like $25 so yeah it's pretty crappy
na like I got 200 bucks and id rather spend more if its better i never liked redragon tbh
it feels too cheap for me
i literally want a linear switch keyboard thats good quality
I've heard the black widow or whatever it's called is pretty good
arctis steelseries 5? $116 though

what headphones should i get
headphones or headset, budget
budget por favor
Keyboards... Got my eyes on the K95 RGB Platinum MX Speed right now. What else is out there with MX Speed that feels as good and is built as good, but with less noise?
I've used one before and I'm 99% sold, but man it's noisy
like 70 dollars or under
@swift lantern sorry i've been busy lmao, @hazy fiber has a good point too, options are a good thing but I recommend sennheiser cause well look at my name 😂
oh my god is that, could it be, @amber oracle
dude it's been like 2 months
oooh what kinda gig
that is what i said when i got back :)
all your gear still behaving @brisk parcel ?
Naed is a foreign super spy confirmed
I picked up a few things though, my 58X jubilees, a new mic, webcam, some fancy corsair vengeance RGB pro ddr4 3600 32GB blah blah blah
4x8GB obviously
:)
been 2 months and like still drooling over these headphones
:)
it was something alright
that's like some men in black crap
no comment
but then again, it joins the bunch of other lifetime nda's i have
NDA's just happen. Mostly they are boring 😦
oh believe me what you said already pointed to that
250
running from either my centrance slim (for on the go) or from the homemade (not by me, but a colleague/friend) amp
that amp is also what drives the studio monitors here
and i absolutely love them
they were, for me, love at first listen
and they just got better when i got a proper amp on them
the rest of my gear is nothing special
sorry I saw this so late I went to a drive-in lmao
but yeah, that makes sense, some people just love certain sounds and 990 pros are good for sure, so no problem there
:)
I need better travel audio
nothing to be sorry about @brisk parcel
looking for a new pair of gaming headphones. I would like wireless headphones with good surround sound Budget $300. Should I get the Arctis pro wireless? Fps gamer btw
you're an FPS gamer, so you might be surpised to hear this
surround doesn't matter as much as imaging does
ive heard things but idk. i just want really good headphones to tell where people are and how far away
stereo sound with great imaging will do much better than stereo with poor imaging and surround sound
okay, so let me see what all I can recommend since I mostly do wired stuff and not wireless
is wireless an absolute must-have? or do you just greatly prefer it?
a good pair of stereo is better than "surround" even true surround sound headphones with all the speakers in don't help with positioning really, plus if you really wanted it you can add virtual surround to any stereo headphone https://i.imgur.com/4kgZPze.png
there's that too^
right now i have a wired g633 and i dont really like the cord and the headphones are uncomfortable so i would like to try wireless
okay, well I'll leave the wireless recommendations up to @hazy fiber, he has more experience with those than me
i am not very good with wireless but you can check out the arctis pro, maybe corsair void pro, ATH-G1WL, crossfade 2 wireless
in terms of wired, I've got LOADS for different budgets
the ATHs you mentions foobar are a good point
yeah i really like the look of the arctis pro
arctis pro is very underwhelming for the price
a more "spicy" question might be: Does it have to be a "gaming" headset?

i heard sennheiser was really good but idk which on best lol
yeah
because i am yet to try a single "gaming" headset that i dont want to throw the heck away right after
Sennheiser GSP 670
okay so, talking sennheiser i've listened to a bunch of different cans
and i want to be able to pick up low/quiet sounds too
I feel ya naed xD
unfortunately I'm gonna have to continue this conversation later, so if you want my input too just @ me, I gotta go driving
idk if you guys know what escape from tarkov is but i need to be able to hear a mouse squeak
the moment you move above 100 usd (in actual headphones), hearing details low/high everything .... that is considered basic features
as in. It will be in EVERY set of headphones :)
ok cool
Naed have fun 🙂
big soundstage can be good for listening for positioning and stuff
oh i just got the regular rank lol
nope, your client, your headache :P @brisk parcel
@static pond standard advice in regards to headphones is this: See if you can get actual hands-on experience with the models you are curious about
because the preference (what you find to be good/bad) is so very personal.
we (people here or anywhere else) can yammer on for ages about the benefits or downsides of X and Y model
but IF your preference does NOT align with ours? you could easily end up with a set of headphones that you dont actually enjoy
you can check reviews in places like z reviews or head-fi.org or something like that, there are people that have tried many headphones and some of them are pretty good at mentioning wat kind of sound they prefer so you know if they might be biased or something, but yes trying them out in person is best way to know if you will like them
alright ill check those out
also, trying the headset, will very quickly tell you IF they actually fit the shape of your noggin
yes haha, when trying you do also have to keep in mind the pressure if it will get tiring over long period of time
okay, well I'll leave the wireless recommendations up to @hazy fiber, he has more experience with those than me
WH1000MX3/XM4 are some of the best, with NC. If you want open back, grado has some wireless ones that I haven't tried but are bound to be great. What's the budget
300 prefered 200
$300 could get you a new set of WH1000MX3. Could get em for $200 or so used. They have great sound and a solid feature set with NC. Arguably better than Bose 700s.
You could also get a set of Grado open backed wireless headphones for that much. If you wait a week or two, you could probably get a used set of WH1000MX4s for $300
i wanna get the XM4s, but im gonna wait until black friday/cyber monday. hopefully they have a deal on em
How good is the hyperx ducky keyboard?
eh
