I’m not concerned about errors. Just that 100$ more gets you 12 cores instead of 8. And if you wait 6 months they tend to bin a little higher, even tho this will be a tiny difference

I’d say if your one of those guys that only upgrades every three years or so then get the 5900x. I personally tend to upgrade more often.

For example, I used to play EverQuest 2, and I still log into it now and then to "benchmark" new hardware. My load times on a HDD used to be about 30-50 seconds per zone, on a normal SSD they dropped to around 20-30, on the PCIe Gen 4, only running at Gen 3, load times never went over 5 seconds.
