Those already exist windows phone ^^^your living in the past
9080: you are the graphics card
Buy it you wont
throw away 51 dollars, you wont
That can't be true
Don't buy that.
I wasnt planning to 😂
seems legit
Hahaha😂
I saw few listings like that when I was researching what 1070 ti to get , they're always like $52 for some reason
The 1070ti is a great card. I had a MSI 1070ti Duke. Great card. With a slight overclocking it was as good as some stock 1080s
never buy anything from aliexpress :v
it makes facebook marketplace look like amazon
@granite juniper I no joke spend over 10k a year on alieexpress
The only experiences I’ve had there have been bad one. I guess its preference
They seem kinda to good to be true @granite juniper
If anyone has any knowledge on 980 ti's and can help Me Identify what the damaged components are I'd appreciate it and like to take a shot at repairing it, I know and found the r33 Inductor but the others im clueleess
yikes
is this the aftermath of heroshima or a pc pic?
I'd go ahead and junk it.
see if any computer repair places have online support and ask them if it's worth trying to fix
or see if the company will replace it/see what they'll to
@echo kraken Ill hit up EVGA support and see what they think, sucks cause this is an RMA'd card of and RMA'd card and It doesnt have warranty anymore :/
oof, guessing you haven't had the best of luck with the cards
maybe it's an issue with another part of the pc
nope the r33's for 780ti's and 980 ti's have had random issues for a year or two apparently
buncha reddit posts and stuff about burnt up r33's
ouch that sucks
yep
shoulda been like "yo EVGA can I get a card of similar performance" when I RMA'd it again :/
cut your losses.
since amd is replacing the rx 570 with the 5700, you think they will release a rx 5800 to replace the 580?
@surreal willow prob not since the Radeon 7 is a thing still in production
@maiden night so do you think I should wait for the navi releases and just get one of those, or should I get a radeon vii?
I'm trying to decide the same...splurge for a VII or wait to see what Navi delivers...I'm just not sure that the initial Navi offerings will have what I am looking for (a higher-end or flagship card)
it might be next year before the more powerful Navi arrive
I'd rather not blow 700 on a VII when it's old (Vega) stop-gap tech
but I also don't care to wait another year before upgrading
wait for navi to drop and buy a VII for cheaper cause price will probably drop
not necessarily
a flagship card doesn't have to drop in price just because low and mid-end newer cards arrive
and 6/4ths
I don't expect radeon VII will drop until the Navi hi-end release, possibly in 2020
is it worth the extra 75 bucks to upgrade from the gtx 1660 to the 1660ti?
if you have the money yes
if not, gtx 1660 is still a great card
i have it
is a good onE
if he has the money yeah thats also an excellent choice
Vega 56, 1080, or 1070 ti for 1080/1440 (older games)
@digital remnant thoughts? U know a lot more than me with gpus
you got the money right?
They’re all around 300, which is around where I was looking to spend
I like the 1080 and the 1080ti. Right now IMO they are a good bang for the buck.
1070 would be a good pick too. It is not a bad card. I dont use AMD card so I cant say to much on them.
im not sure if i should ask this in graphics chat or peripherals
im not sure if i should ask this in graphics chat or peripherals
i read somewhere if i have Nvidia gpu my monitor should probably have g-sync
so i looked and my monitor has freesync
is this something i should change or does it really matter?
idk what that is
@upper crag What nvidia gpu do you have?
im still debating between geforce gtx 1660 or the 1660 ti
those will both support freesync with the latest drivers
gsync is just a bit higher quality and nvidia only, but they cost a lot more
:l well i realized that the monitor only has free sync, but i dont think it should matter too much if i switch to the 1080
What’s ur price range @rugged yew ?
around 400 dollars max is 500
https://www.newegg.com/msi-geforce-rtx-2070-rtx-2070-duke-8g-ocv1/p/N82E16814137413 this one seems nice, and you can overclock it to 1710MHz which is neat
There’s also a bunch more on Newegg for a similar price, this once seemed at a glance to have slightly better specs tho
Yeah 2070 is good
between those two cards, get the 2060, However if it was me I'd buy a cheaper version than the rog but that's just my opinion. It's a great card if that's what you want
Depends on budget. If you have less money, get a 2060. If you have more money to spend, get a 2070.
constant 240
How much FPS will I get in Fortnite with all Ultra settings with this build:
RTX 2080 clocked at 1860mhz
i7-9700k @ 4.9ghz
16GB RAM @ 3200mhz
Monitor at 1440p
depends on your resolution as well. that will kill pretty much anything atm tho
Can I reach 165 FPS with that build at 1440p with semi-maxed settings?
do you got a monitor that goes that high with refresh rate?
you should be fine
Okay thanks
Why do u want to play fort at ultra settings
I don't
I don't like that game
Just wanted to see how much FPS I would get in that to compare with other games
lol
XD
OwO
depends on the game tbh
Fort isnt very optimized
Yeah other games are different
fortnite isnt as graphically challenging as say, division 2 or wildlands
Like GTA v is more demanding that fortnite
Idk if this is allowed, but is anybody selling a gtx 1080?
evga b-stock
1080 or ti @fallen schooner ?
depends
Don't buy a GTX 1080. Get an RTX 2080 instead :)
I just finished my build with it today, but only tested Rocket League. Max settings at 1440p, and I got the maximum 250 FPS. This is without overclocking 😁
I can't wait to test GPU heavy games and see what I get 👍
what GPU did you have before?
you are creating negative pressure with that fan setup
what's wrong with negative pressure? I have my set up like that and it runs very well
if you dont have enough ventilation you will choke your system
true but still as long as you have some it works
i like balanced
What Happened...
thats a lot of dirt
Cool
1070 ti or 1080?
1050 ti
Intel integrated graphics
If you want to waste the money, the 1080 is marginally better than a 1070 ti. But for the money you'd be spending for a new one, a 2070 would be more fun...and cheaper.
@granite juniper
whats everyones thoughts on rx5700 line? think it will be better than rtx 2070?
its stated that its 10% faster but will it be cheaper
what kinda mid range amd cards would y’all recommend
RTX titan

wow theo.
Vega 56 on sale is good
I personally got one and it’s treated me and my ultrawide well
a vega 56 can be 250 if you look in the right places
yes
tho he didnt say his budget
if it was under 200 then yes an rx
if above than prob a vega
that tru
Idk on the right used markets you can find a 1080 fe for like 220
avg 1080 used is around 300-330 rn so if someone is trying to sell quick you could possibly find one that low
Hey all
I got a question
So I might be building a pc this summer
Around 1500 bucks
Should I go RTX or the new rdna line-up
i'd wait to see how the new stuff pans out.
If I were to do a new build I'd wait for the new ryzen to drop and for more info about the gpus to come
^
Anybody selling a 1070 ti for 250ish? Ik it’s kinda low, but trying to get a decent build and on a tight budget
Hi
lmao
a 1070 ti for 250
way too low for a used one
unless its a really bad quality one jeez
@granite juniper you can find quite a few 1070tis for $280 used
Quite a few on eBay as we speak
Yeah. Im watching a 1070 ti that I might be able to get for 240
don’t steal it :l lol
?
Ima come yoink it
jk, I don't hef monays
Same
What would be a good GPU to go with a i7-8700?
im very interested in the 5700 xt
@tall violet show a pic?
5700 xt
oooo
They shouldnt had made it that expensive
Yes
Its competitor is the rtx 2070
If they wouldve made it cheaper there wouldve been an even better reason to buy this card
But nvidia will release their super cards and likely just destroy it
Since there have been reports the 2070 is getting a price decrease to $400
Idk probs when the super cards come out
I also seen another where it would drop to 449 which is same price of the 5700xt
@marble flint super cards?
yeah they are making the rtx cards a super edition
super edition my pc probably cost about the same price as GTX 1060 XD
The 10k$ one we talking about?
Wut
No
How much is rumored price for super edition
Its like 2060 and 2070 supers
The same price of the normal one at their launch i think
Okay
Which is why the originals lowering in price
I think the 2080 might have a super as well
But not the 2080ti
Idk why I asked I have a laptop that can’t run anything and won’t be able to afford the card... but idk

How about a super price cut on all the other cards 😉
@granite juniper that’d help if graphics cards of all types went on sale
wait till around july 7th, the sales will prob start because of navi release
(for older and current cardS)
(mostly mid range cards)
meh
too bad it doesnt work for every game
wish it could be used to siege like cmon, one of the most popular games and i cant even use it
you know you can use obs?
its recommended to use obs
@oblique cypress
you can also change shadowplay to record the screen
instead of the game so it works on everything
if u don't wana use obs
rx 580
K thx
similar question, what's a good GPU in regards to matching the performance of a Ryzen 3800X
u can find rx 590's aswell on sale for rx 580 price
that's a better option
what resolution?
resolution for me?
yes
obs drops my frames
it shouldn't
also that's an odd resolution id prob get no less then 2060 if your just looking for 60 fps
that's what I was leaning towards; the 2060. Any recommended brand of card?
whatever has 2 or more fans
only the cooler is different on most of those cards
the board's are all the same
that's fair. thanks much
MSI 2060 OC or 1660
Guys do you think the 1660 is cute
DAMN
Lemme grab the version
i'm running a gigabyte rtx 2060 gaming oc pro with an i7 7700k clocked to 4.5 Ghz here
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition
however my RAM is the only thing that's bottlenecking my system
1 stick of 16GB 2400mhz CL17
GTX 1080 super clocked, I5 8600k @ 4.8 Ghz
Then i have a 9600k overclocked to 4.9ghz, couldn't quite get it to 5 :(
Well it crashed on Intelburntest but it probably could be fine at 5ghz normally
got 2 bluescreens in a row lmao
I tried too. It can do it, but crash after like an hour. so I'm playing it a bit safer with 4.8
i see
50c idle still :D
my fans literally go sicko mode if i clock to 4.8
Are Radeon VIIs worth it? Or are Navi GPUs good enough for 4k 60fps gaming?
I would go with the VII if you have the money
why not?
And they're already releasing upgrades
i have a 2070
Their prices are top tier price gouging
yea
For small percentages in performance increases
They charge 2x or more in price
It's crazy
My only gripe with the RVII is that there's no 3rd party cards
Only reference cards
From what I've se the cooling leaves much to be desired
yea
And I'm not savvy enough for water cooling
It's sort of a prosumer card. not really surprising
This
i preferer 3 fan cards
Yeah I've got a 3 fan 2060 atm just so that it's a bit more quiet underload
A 1050
I want a top of the line GPU :(
Still running a 970
That's giving me all sorts of artifacts
960M over here
also only 8 gigs of ram
I had a 570 until it died 2 years ago
Got a pair of Beats by Dre for Christmas
And traded for the 970 same day
im still running a 760 rofl
I have 1060.... suggestion for a upgrade?
What's ur budget?
Okay first off...do u think I need an upgrade.
I do Sim racing and some FPS like Apex Legends
That's alright
Anyone here playing Apex Legends
Got bored fast of it
got bored in the first week
i started playing it near end of may
since i just finished building my own pc for the first time that can actually game
I'm hooked on League of Legends
what would be a good gpu to pair with a Ryzen 5 2600x?
I was thinking of a rtx2060. It that a good option?
or maybe vega 56?
i'm unfamiliar with the vega 56
yeah me too, I always used nvidia cards
you upgrading a build or starting a build?
upgrading
nice nice
I currently have a gtx 960 😅 but I would like to get something more powerfull
You're tellin' me. I'm likely going to be building a pc in a month. But in the meantime I'm still using an asus laptop from 5 years ago with a geforce 845m
Nice, what are going to be the specifications of your planned build?
well, i'm currently waiting on the release of ryzen gen 3 CPUs before i decide on the motherboard, and ram
i'll send the link to my current build
Thats a wise decisio
I builed my rig about a year ago
note that the ryzen 2700x is a placeholder
looking good!
If you decided on your motherboard, maybe you can replace the sata ssd with an M.2?
I have a m.2 aswell and i have crazy fast boot times
yessir, that's actually what i was also going to mention to you
M.2 seems very good, pricy but good
I'm debating getting the 860 evo ssd and waiting on the M.2 until it drops in price. But i'm definitely thinking about just slapping a 1tb samsung nvme M.2 in there
I have a 250gb samsung 970 evo, and a couple of traditional hard drives for files and games
the ssd as boot drive ofcourse
yes, the 970 evo is what i would be looking at
are you happy with m.2? I would assume yes, but do you have anything critical to say about it?
nothing negative, my pc is booted in a matter of seconds
solid 👌
the only problem that i'm left with is deciding between micro ATX vs mini ITX ... particularly the case options (keeping things portable and sleek) while also maintaining good thermal performance
I have ATX myself, and the NZXT s340 elite as case, I'd go for Micro-Atx because Mini ITX is too small for me
that's fair yea
My laptop came with a SATA SSD, does that mean it doesn't support PCLE?
check your emails for this deal /w promo code.
cheapest 2080 right now and comes with wolfenstein young blood.
:l somebody wanna buy me one
$650? jeez i spent that much on at 1080
I need that
Lowered prices because they're going to release replacements
If a laptop has an Intel UHD Graphics 620 in it how difficult/possible/expensive would it be to install a graphics card that can keep up with an i5-8250U?
😭
and uhd 620 is super trash
np
How are Vega 10’s?
Excited. This just came in. Upgratimg from a 1060 3gb so should be a decent upgrade and hopefully more quiet
congrats. it will def. be a bit better. the 1660 ti would have been a better purchase though
i bet but being the OC edition it will do almost as well as the ti and for the 70 extra dollars i didnt see it worth it. plus my monitor is only 1080p so this should do much better
na it would have def been worth it
but its still stronger than 1060 3gb
the ti is way better in this models case... not always are the ti versions that much better.
@meager plover you can do a external gpu with network card replacement cables but it’s not worth it compared to getting a relatively cheap gaming pc or something
Yeah i feel ya @woeful hollow im just happy and mainly the 1060 is so loud so with the updated cooling system im hoping to finally quiet my system lol
yea the turing chips run allot cooler
Can somebody help me I got my PC to turn on and the my new GPU flashes and then it does nothing
have you made sure that all the SATA wires are plugged in
Yup
No I mean like the light flashes then turns off and nothing happens
The PC doesnt even turn on
I mean boot up
Yes
I don't know much about computers but have you checked if your ram works.
did you double check to make sure its seated properly?
Yes it is
Yes
reset the cmos
Sorry lol.. bye
Reset the cmos?
. unplug the pc. then take out the battery on the mothboard
Ok
while the battery is out. hold the power button down for 30-60 seconds. put the battery back in. and power up
Should my PC be on?
Shushy
whyen your holding the button down. the pc is unplugged and the battery is out
then replace the battery and plug the pc back in... then turn it back on
Kk thnx
it might reboot a couple times depending on the b oard. but when you try turning it back on for the first time after resetting. it might take it a lil bit longer to show up on the screen if it worked
I have a video that explains things better
you can post it here i think
Nope to big
i cant access it
something about google drive
ooo nvm
so idk whats goign on from the video...... does it turn on and then tuirn off
nope, my computer cant find the graphics card
even though I plugged it in correctly and the fans are turning
@round vale
or just anybody
Is this a new GPU?
I just saw it was and you've been having issues. Download display driver uninstaller https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Here you can Download Display Driver Uninstaller, this Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, with...
Install it and boot up in safe mode
While in safe mode, run that utility
Then reboot
See if that helps.
idk that sounds crazy
Ok.
Is there something stuck in the fans by chance, like hair or fuzz? Could be preventing the fans from turning. Another option is checking if it works in another PCIe slot. I’ve had a similar issue before where the PCIe slot went bad
how do you guys like my build i'm planning on getting this once i have enough money. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jP6chy
Any recommendations on changing anything?
im trying to keep it under 1500
alrighty, i'm assuming this is for gaming?
solid
csgo will run on a potato hooked to a monitor
ik
when are you planning on doing this build?
i have maxed setting running `100 on laptop
idk n ear future
cause im money tight and im just getting a job soon, within 1-2 years
okay, i'm sure you're aware of the ryzen gen 3 hype train. I'd wait until those release on July 7th before choosing a processor/mobo/and ram
the 3700x will be the same base price as the 2700x
yes ive heard
yeah, that's what has been reported by most everyone as of right now
here's the listing that i've found to be fairly representative
Ryzen 9 3950X—16C/32T, 3.5GHz to 4.7GHz, 72MB cache, 105W TDP, $749 (in September)
Ryzen 9 3900X—12C/24T, 3.8GHz to 4.6GHz, 70MB cache, 105W TDP, $499
Ryzen 7 3800X—8C/16T, 3.9GHz to 4.5GHz, 36MB cache, 105W TDP, $399
Ryzen 7 3700X—8C/16T, 3.6GHz to 4.4GHz, 36MB cache, 65W TDP, $329
Ryzen 5 3600X—6C/12T, 3.8GHz to 4.4GHz, 35MB cache, 95W TDP, $249
Ryzen 5 3600—6C/12T, 3.6GHz to 4.2GHz, 35MB cache, 65W TDP, $199
Ryzen 5 3400G—(Zen+) 4C/8T, 3.7GHz to 4.2GHz, 6MB cache, Vega 11 Graphics at 1400MHz, 65W TDP, $149
Ryzen 3 3200G—(Zen+) 4C/4T, 3.6GHz to 4.0GHz, 6MB cache, Vega 8 Graphics at 1250MHz, 65W TDP, $99
so im new to ryzen
whats like one of the best with out going overboard with price
i've also heard that ryzen cpus are designed to make really good use of the ram speed, but what you have listed is very good nonetheless
i'd say the 3600x or 3700x
?
AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
thats mine
altho ryzen doesnt have many cores
i'd recommend getting the gen 3 ryzen 7 3700x if you have it in the budget
i mean, you're trying to balance price and performance. So i'd say it's one of the better ones in that regard yea
ok go ahead
I think the video card option is very good. I actually have that very card listed in my build that i'm planning to do next month.
awesome
well i game at 1920x1080 so i need something to keep up with high setting at 100+
fps
again, depending on the motherboard that you decide upon once ryzen gen 3 releases, I would highly recommend an M.2 SSD
Honestly ryzen is the best budget option but intel is the best way to go imho, I7 blows ryen out of the water right now
but that also depends on you're budget vs how much storage you will actually need
but i need budget
yes, such is the goal
i5 is pretty decent and I honestly think its better than ryzen 7
@north escarp i mean, it's a cost to performance thing and gen 3 ryzen is looking really promising so
Always spend as much as you can on the motherboard and graphics card, you can save up for the other stuff
the best one on market rn is Intel Core i7-9700K (9th Gen) $408
@dense dew here's an SSD that would work really well. it's only 500GB but it's reliable and at a decent cost
is there really gonna be that big of a performance difference between the 3900x and the 3950x
ok
KingXF for the ryzens yeah a littlebit. compared to intel, none at all
i want a bigger ssd
so i can put bios
and internet stuff
so which cpu should i get? Intel or Ryzen
Im saving up for a 6tb SSD presently. I just replced my processor with an I9
lets put price out of the way
Well the 3950x is overkill for gaming by far
If you dont care about price, I can build you a nice ass PC right now for 4000
i know that a 2TB HDD is tempting, I'm still debating putting one in my build. I would almost just upgrade the SSD to a 1TB 860 evo for the purposes of gaming. But again, you know what you'll need it for anyways
And that thing wont need any updates or changes for years
ok
i need a summary, (not trying to ask alot here) so what cpu should i get for mid budget, what storage should i get? and the ssd
I mean I have a monster of a computer currently, has 1tb evo samsung SSD, MSI MEG GODLIKE Z390, an I9 9900k processor, 64gb RAM, NVIDIA 2080 TI, and 10tb HDD.
what are you trying to spend currently
tf
but otherwise, a few closing thoughts @dense dew I really like the black and white aesthetic that you're going for. It's very clean and fresh. Here is a link to ram that is equaivalent in performance to what you have listed that might look absolutely fabulous with the color scheme you are going for. I think it's only like $10 more expensive than what you originally had, but it would look so sexy. Otherwise, I think you are looking great on that build.
So for 1500 you can build a nice 1080 TI with an I7
yes
dependig on how you go, you could possibly get a better graphics card as well
thank you @main mauve
do you want me to build you a PC? I could get you a very nice set up for 1500
@north escarp you dont have to if you want but im going to spend money that can be going for a car or something but im going with a pc 😆 but can you build me one for around 1500?
@north escarp I mean, the RTX 2070 is already a really good card that has very similar performance to a 1080ti
@main mauve You are right but for better budget its just as good and cheaper
needs i researched alot on the gpu
@dense dew Yeah I can do it, I enjoy doing it
thank you sky
@dense dew Any specifications in mind?
can i call you or do you have a prob with that
can you keep the same asthetic/color s i was going for though white/black
@dense dew just private message me please
ok
comparison of the 2070 and the 1080ti @north escarp
look a the value listing for performance to price
I love u
@soft jewel ?

So uh after 2 hours of work with @north escarp we got this
@dense dew what was the final cost?
i dont remember lemme see im looking
i going to make a guess of $1,600
lmao who would buy this
HP OMEN X Emperium 65
65"
3840 x 2160
144 Hz
4 ms
VA
16:9
$4999.99
its a moniter
i'm honestly not a believer in 4k for gaming lol
why the hell is this a aspect ratio 683:240
because the 2000's
It cant be simplified down further
damn, i was so close on the guess price lol
solid build tbh
$3 off
lol
4k. Laptop
ultrawide is where it's at
"3:09 AM] Needs Moar Boosters: i'm honestly not a believer in 4k for gaming lol" has 4k monitor
its not 4k
close
1080p is a resolution of 1920 x 1080
ik
mine is 2560 by 1080
can i "@" newegg and tell them they are awesome 😆
doooooooo itttttttt
i'd do it during the middle of the day tho, then you'd be fine tbh
alrighty, i'm glad to see you've made good progress on your pc build. It's now time for me to get some sleep. Have a nice one. Night
lol, same
Night
why a 60hz monitor
Can we try to keep conversations relevant to the channel, please? #general-chat is a great place for casual questions.
rx 590
not only does it come with those games its almost same perf
and u get more vram
what brand of card do you reccomend me getting for the RX 590
anything 2 fans or more
is PowerColor reliable?
@granite juniper nice!
@barren salmon any luck with your GPU?
Rtx 2070 or Gtx 1070?
@deep bluff if price isnt an issue, RTX 2070 for sure
ok thx
yeah
Yeah I have an evga 1660ti and it is amazing
What’s the best value gpu and cpu for around $200 each?
I have an i5 9600k with a GTX 1060 SC 6gb. What would be a good upgrade for me? Mainly play Apex and R6
cpu is fine, gpu can be a good upgrade, 2070 or better. @celest kite
more frames the better for apex and r6

@celest kite what's your rank in r6
i dont play r6
depends on his budget, so we really cant say anything unless he says his budget
did i say i was talking to you
n0
i are talk to only porson who mention dat gam3
i is ask queStion 0f h1m
sank you very mUch
@wraith pasture what do you play
@celest kite apex 1080p runs at smooth 160fps + with 2080
yeah no (insert kid friendly poop word because e knock forgot this was an actual company server) spiral
but he didnt give us a budget for a gpu upgrade so we dont know
is it possible we could see 2 bans in one day?
im giving him a chance
ik
lol 0k zAck
HAHA E-KNOCK
there read it again
yes sir
@wraith pasture low, can't play ranked yet. I'm a console player, switching over
2 weeks. I'm not terrible, yet haha. My current build keeps blue screening so I bought all the parts to build a new system.
Nope only had a few full games, system always has read errors.
Have quite a few buddies that play and they have been trying to get me to switch over.
I was thinking 2070 or 2080
what's your budget
350-700
wait for new rtx cards
so current ones go down in price
should be less then a month
I have everything sitting on a shelf right now ready to build my new pc. Was just going to use my current card(1060 SC) but I know I'm going to want more.
whats your budget for a gpu
Up to $700ish
aight
you could get an rtx 2080
or if you dont care about hurrying to play on pc at the moment, wait till the new rtx cards are released so the other ones drop a bit like the guy said back there
@main mauve people arent exactly sure
Gotcha 👌
people saying maybe july
Tbh, that would be great timing with the ryzen cpus
prob expect latest dates in august, hopefully in july for all of you people to upgrade with your 3k budgets lol
duh
it isnt a coincidence lmao
Very true
Quick question... so ever since i got my Vega 64 Card i have sometimes had an issue with random flickering black screens that last for like 5-10 seconds. i did alittle research and found that it may be a windows issue but nothing more than that. Anyone have any ideas how to fix or if thats actually the problem?
try doing a totally clean install of your drivers
i want to recommend using DDU (in safe mode) then reinstall the drivers
tried that and still happens from time to time. it usually only happens when boot up my computer. if i keep it on sleep then its fine. its almost like its formatting everytime i turn on my PC
issues like this arise when windows already had their own amd video drivers installed and then you installed the newest drivers without uninstalling previous drivers.
maybe its a bad card

also had people this issue because of a bad cable
reseating your cables might help
I freakin love when you use gifs or those lil emotes sorry had to say it. Pepe made me chuckle
still happens when i boot up
when you see device manager, does anything show up in terms of devices that need attention?
its happened ever since i had the card
i can push the card to 100% cap so hopefully it just never craps out on me
my dumb ass would prob try to reformat to a clean version of windows and see if that would help
tried that too
still getting random black screens?
i actually did that when i transferred OS to SSD
yeah i think ill just live with my PC in sleep mode lol
transfering os to ssd isn't a fresh windows install, thats just transfering data
no i deleted windows entirely and installed on top SSD. no transfer
yup
and you're using the monitors native resolution and refresh rate right?
yup
does it have freesync/gsync?
freesync and i have enabled
alright ill try that thanks friend
good luck
freesync shouldnt always be on
only when your using it in a specific application
aka a game
else it can cause those issues
@main mauve I'm confused a 2070 Third party card with an extra overclock will beat a unoverclocked FE 1080ti in "some" games but won't touch a Third party 1080ti even without overclock in any games 1080p especially even more in 1440p and 4k.
My information may be incorrect yes. But I'd be curious to see some actual tested comparisons between the two just for curiosity's sake
There's a few videos already
what cards are we comparing?
Someone tested a Unoverclocked FE 1080ti vs a MSI gaming Z 2070 plus overclocked. In test bench it was neck to neck then when things went to gaming it only matched the 1080ti in 1 game out of 5
But if they would've overclocked the FE edition or even just a third party card like the MSI gaming x TRIO without overclock, the card would have no chance
they are around the same performance, one is just newer and does better with dlss
They aren't because you have to overclock a 2070 just to match a stock founders edition 1080ti I just watched 4 different videos testing them
Now probably the new SUPER RTX 2070 will out perform the 1080ti even third party
most of the 2000 series isnt even being utilized right? ex raytracing?
Well DLSS is a good feature but it makes things blurry, pretty much supersampling
Besides DLSS and raytracing the 2000 cards have no other features.
^
lower resolution = cpu bound for fps in games
as higher resoultion = gpu bound that's when ull see the difference between a 1080ti and 2070
Would an RX 480 be a good Combo with a Pentium G5400
for what games
the Pentium G5400 is only a dual core so its pretty limited on how many frames it can push the rx 480
is say it's a good combo
either that or a 1050
if your buying new tho no
used should be around 100
would you recommend 2 or 3 fan gpu's?
idk what those are lol oops
i was looking at the gigabyte 2070 windforce 8gb
2 fans is fine
okay ty!
if 3 fans isn't much more might be worth picking that up
if you want closer to slient operation under heavy load
the 3 fan was actually cheaper than all the other 2 fan ones on newegg
awesome thanks
@wraith pasture GTX cards uses new NVENC as well.
no hes right
the RTX cards use the new nvenc encoder better tho
high end 10 series cards can use the new nvenc pretty well, apex and new nvenc works great on mine.
the performance improvementrs are universal
but the quality is rtx only
turns it into x264 medium presents quality
instead of fast/faster with old GTX

👽 ik
it looks great on strim
iv looked at both an ye the quality difference is very noticeable
i was testing it when it came out and my quality went up, might of just been because of the performance improvement making it look that way
ie. framerate/stability
especially when i was doing 1080p60
wasnt a ble to do 1080p60 very stable before

profanity @north escarp
@lucid depot Says keep it pg-13 and pg-13 is allowed one F per film. So if we transfer that to real life it’s 1 F bomb per day.
lol got a point
And since you deleted it, I’m allowed 1 more to my allotted day.
company server, they have zero tolerance. i gave you a chance
which guardian said u could watch this film 😤😤😤
Hey no trolling says it directly in the rules
Here that, woke up with the worst diarrhea in my life and got work in 5 hours
Think it was the salmon I ate last night, Salmon never agrees with my stomach 🤔
sleep is for the weak
i usually get 4-5 hours
but I have insomnia and have gotten used to it over the last 20 years or so
Question about graphics cards how good would a Sapphire+ RDX 590 be on a scale 1-10?
good enough for anygame 1080p/1440p 60+fps
What price do you guys think is good? Owner had it for 1 year
And hello everyone I’m new here!
hi welcome to the server
lol sorry that sounded super unenthusiastic
(idk how much a 1080Ti is worth sorry)
Used, 500-600
shoot IDK about that, but I have had an XFX Radeon RX550 on sale on offerup for over a month and all I am asking for is $50. IDK what it is, but it seems like no one wants to buy graphics cards these days
Anyone who knows whats a normal temperature for a rx 570 4gb in full load (1 fan design blower)
Are RTX 2000 series cards really worth it over GTX 1000 series?
I understand the ray tracing debacle of the RTX cards, but would it be worth it to buy an RTX card for better standard performance (non ray tracing) over a GTX card?
if u can find a cheap 1080ti buy that instead
find em used 500$~
same performance
if you want to use the new nvenc (quality boost) to stream I say its worth it
1080ti is = to 2080
other then that no real reason other then its newer
wait
@main mauve rtx cards have a thing on them that is one port for all vr stuff
so you only have one cable to your headset
there arent any headsets that utilize it rn but give it some time
@grave oasis Hybrid 1080ti's will go for $550 used
@grave oasis sorry little late. my brother was able to get one only used for 6 months for $500
@pallid musk was it a hybrid tho? those tend to sell for around $50 more on the used market cause water cooling and stuffs
@dense flicker , The Oculus Rift S uses a display port cable instead of HDMI, so the one port that's offset for VR is usable now 😛 as well as the USB C with an adapter to power the headset's sensors. It's what I got going on now haha. (Sorry to reply to you on 2 servers now)
I just got a lightly used 980 ti from a friend for 225$
Noice.
im hyped
Right now I have a rtx 2070, do you guys think I should wait for the next rtx cards or upgrade now to a 2080?
wait just to see what the “super” cards are like
And see their price points
I mean you are in no rush because the RTX 2070 is still an amazing card
@white geode
Thanks. I'm trying to save up for a rift or hold out and save up for a new card.
Could I get some opinions on the MSI rx vega 56? Is it worth buying over the rx 590, and what Cpu would be reccomended to go along side it?
what's your budget?
around 900 dollars
aight
For the pc
Currently looking at an RTX 2080 for a pc im about to be building. is it worth it or would i be better off getting something else that may be cheaper. I play games like cod/fortnite/overwatch and World of warcraft
also my budget is around 2000 for everything including monitor/keyboard ext.
I need opinions
GTX 1060 3GB Gigabyte Aorus USED ($75)
OR
GTX 1060 6GB Founders Edition NEW ($130)
Thank you
@tribal tundra https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JZH7mq
for sure
@lone pond I5 9600k
I’d upgrade that first before you get a new video card
Looking to do my first custom water loop, trying do decide on a gpu for it, going to be an rtx 2080 or 2080ti most likely, my question is should I just go for a cheaper card since I'll be pulling the cooler off it anyway, or are there some specific cards that are better for water cooling?
9. No e-begging, or selling on this server.
e beg
I’ve got my old GTX 970 OC with only 6gb or 8gb of VRAM
3.5*
3.5
where should i look for a used 1070 ti?
Ebay, craigslist, or hardwareswap subreddit
used 1070tis sell for like 270-280 rn and 1080s at ~300-330 depending on the model so yeah
I'd go 1080 instead if you're going used 1070ti
both are really bad to buy new
you can get a 2060/70 for around the same price sometimes
k, thanks
he's not buying new, was talking about used
1080's only really worth it if you can find it used for cheap tbh
the 1080 and 2080 new are too close in price, there's no reason to not go with a 2080
Whats the retail for 1080?
And the 2080?
Yeah thats what i was thinking too. Like a lot of people who bought the 1080 a few months before 2080 was released are selling them on ebay for a decent price.
I might go for 1080 since this will be my first build
He wasn't talking about new REEEEEEEee
read my message and his before jumping into the conversation plox
Anyone have any suggestions for what 2080 or 2080ti is best for water cooling?
