A possible occurrence maybe?
Yeah lets go with that...
lol
😄
unless 3rd gen Ryzen has a neural-link for me to plug directly into the Matrix...I'll be happy with my 2700X for a while
lol
yeah
just get an intel
that's what I upgraded from previously lol
i've really had no issues with the 8350, and i hae a 1060 gtx, the only game i struggle to play is Division 2. and watch dogs 2.
theo

🗡
IT JUST WORKS
lol
true
hey before this setup with the FX 8350, I was running an Intel Q6600 with a GTX 6800 and 2GB of ram
grats on the upgrade 😄
I have a FX-8350 in my old build, it definitely bottle necks high end GPUs especially in high physics based games.
you mean GeForce 6800
that's a huge improvement
heh
ya that thing
my son runs a 8350
no high end gpu
750ti
runs minecraft and youtube,. thats all he needs.
he is 4.
FX-8350 /w 1080Ti @ 1440p on battlefield 1 was 50-70 fps, 7700K set upgrade and it hit 140+ fps constantly D:
lol
lol
you can get a good decent ryzen build for like 400 bucks.
my buddy fully upgraded from the 8350 to a ryzen 7, 16gb ram, dont recall the mobo, and ssd for 630.
huge upgrade 😮
yeah
i was so jelly i helped him build it at my house.
we went to the Microcenter and got all the parts.
drove like 2 hours out of our way to get it.
LMFAO
i'd be just like her
ikr
I don't play things like Battlefield or LoL or even WoW, I am a simmer, I fly P3D/FSX on my computer so my issue is clock speed, FSX does not use multi core, it will only use a single core so the higher the single core speed the better the rendering. P3D will use multi core, but doesn't use the CUP as much as FSX. So I want to upgrade from this RX 550 to something that will produce better but not have as much of a bottleneck than if I went with say a 1660ti
bro i really want the valve index......
and i been playing a lot of racing sims with my g920
You can has, for the price of one kidney.
thats where my p.c. struggles so i just use my spare xbox to play forza 7 and horizion 4. is amazing.
Rule # 1
rules? I AM THE RULES
lol
lol
I feel threatened.
you need me to ban?
I've been here?
lol

I aM
lol
haha
What about a ReaperLeaper
it too 20 minutes for discord to load the people who are in this server on the who's online list
last i saw was "you should have both tags"
👍
My friend wants to upgrade his PC, it has an AMD A8-5500 APU, what gpu should he get so it isn’t going to be severely bottlenecked? His budget is $200 I was thinking an RX 570
Gtx 1660
I think gtx titan x would be fine
Both of those are out of the budget oof
That's a pretty outdated cpu
Yeah he knows but he can’t afford a whole new system
You can get can rx 570, pretty good deal for the performance
I have a 580 and it’s been serving me well for a long time
Does a gtx 1660 ti work well with the i7 4770k?
Is a 2060 good or what’s better for around the same price or more?
Don’t see why a 1660 would have any issues on a 4th gen I7. I run a 1080 on my 4770k and have no issues.
unrelated but why cant i chat in general?
Try now @shadow willow 😊
I cant chat either
Did I wonz da glitter pc??????
Is my graphics card amd a8 vision 5700hd the reason why I lag in games?
@brisk bay try now
1070 ti for sure
really?
Yeah
cuz the Rx is 180
Depends I guess on other factors
ok
haha ok. I have been able to get 100 frames on apex with it, but I would like to play bo4
ahah
Yeah that should work
Probably 😂
alright thanks for the help mi amigo
Np man!
Price vs performance: RX 580 or GTX 1660?
Am looking at replacing the GPU in my girlfriend's rig and want something adequate for light gaming
Depends on the brand of 580. But I would still lean to a 1660
1660 prolly
Man budget wise im seeing local 580s for $100-130
but tbh if I'm shelling out for a 570, might as well go 580
I don't blame you.
should give her your 2080ti
And this convo wouldn't even be happening if the 580 wasnt a 2 year old card
🗡
right clicks your name.
I can't put in enough 🗡 in this response
You're nicer than I am. My wife's getting a new ryzen g series.
I am indeed nice, since she let me splurge on a 2080ti
Yeah she didn't know the price of my computer. I kept that a bit hidden.
$6200 later.
"hey babe what are these credit card statements" oh nothing.
lol
lol
The haf XB is just the test bench. Works great. Think it looks alright as a case too.
Built the 2080 ti/i9 for myself, this was without any of the ekwb stuff. Odds and end stuff as well I got after. 2070/8700k for my little brother.
nice
I mean I have a ryzen 5 and a red dragon 580 sooo no comparison
Hi I’m kind of a noob at this stuff anybody willing to teach my some stuff about computer parts?
Ok thanks
Yah that’s the basics
Any recommendations?
To start what’s your budget
And whatre you using the PC for
True
Gaming/streaming or just streaming?
Gaming streaming
That’s good for a first pc
Great machine for that budget.
Yep
You can do a whole lot with it honestly.
I’ve been watching a lot of this YouTube name kristoferyee he’s been doing a lot of cool stuff
for you first, I'd watch a few Jays2cents or GamersNexus on Youtube.
2070 is the graphics card am I right?
Yah
they have the most info broken down into easy to understand videos
Ok
and many videos
Oh thank you for the recommendation
Great first video by gamers nexus is vrm anatomy
i9 is the processor
Motherboard anatomy in general.
Ok
Jayztwocents has plenty of how to videos both air and watercooling.
so do homework, watch some videos, then you can get back to us on what parts you want to go with :)(
32GB of ram would be great
There's just such a wide variety it's hard to give specifics. You ever need assistant like lambo said, come on back with a parts list and someone will definitely be glad to help you out.
Is an i9 processor much better than a i7 because some youtubers use i7 for most of their builds
Yah
i7 is more affordable
It’s just more expensive
that's why you see most of them use it
Ryzens 2700x is priced absolutely insane right now
Alright I appreciate your help! I’ll go do my "homework” now! Thank you!
Have a great day
Yah
My next build is gonna be a Threadripper in a mini or micro scenario. Super excited. Wish I did it before these last two. Gotta pay some stuff off before I can do anything. :(
Guess I'll move this to general. ✌️
Ha soo expensive but sooo worth it
May I ask, did any of you buy a pre built PC when you first started
No building my first right now
Oh
going to build my first after birthday this month
You seem like a pro though
the amazon tax is gonna be so goddamn annoying
its 51 dollars of tax are you f ing kidding me cmon
Who
idk
lol
by far.
Yeah
My new mumble rap name: Horsey or Ho-C?
the latter
My graphics card warning light is on and idk why there is no issue with the card or cooling can anyone help?
Y'all mind buying me a 1080ti?
If it was only that easy 😩
Damn it be like that
I'd just get a 2070 my guy
Facts
I need to really get a better PC than the POS I have
That’s the fuckin tea
Tbh I'd be okay with an 750-1000 price range
I agree with that price range
Depends on what ur playing and what settings u want to play on
Fair enough, but that seem's like the most reasonable price point
I can give you a pc building site that will help you with what exactly you’re looking for and the best parts at the best prices if you guys want a link to that
PC parts picker?
It's really good
Yea, but long time would go for 144hz
fair point
Just to be safe, also feels so good at 144hz if you want a $750 gaming PC
I'm trying for a graphic design/illustration career so I tend to prioritize monitors that have good color over high refresh rates.
Oh okay that is a different story
yeah
Samsung has some good color display monitors
Yea LG is also good, usually those are for color which is what you want
next monitor I'm getting though is one of those Huion Kamvas Pros
drawing monitor if you didn't know
I payed 500 for a 1,200 rig i7 8700 GTX 1060 Alienware 6GB edition. It’s an Alienware R7 Aurora
I’m bouta slide on a predator
Have you ever heard of offer up @karmic cove
Yeah lol
That’s where I bought it for 500
Then I went all out with my mouse keyboard and monitor. HP 25x 144Hz monitor With -15 to 50 degree angle adjustments and AMD-Freesync for vertical display mode. I have a Logitech G512 Carbon and a Logitech G502 mouse. It’s amazing
@cloud basin is offer up safe, bout to try it out if it is
It was the best upgrade I made
Imma bout to get a 240Hz soon and @fickle tartan yes it is
I’m looking at a new GPU too. Maybe 1080ti or a 2080
I got my 1080ti's when they were $600
I’m about to make an upgrade just need to find the right price per product range. I want the most bang for my buck. I have a great rig now but soon I need new graphics soon I’m a professional gamer so graphics performance is mandatory
offerup is only really worth if you live in a larger area
I live in a smaller town/area and there's no good deals within 1-2hrs driving distance
I live in a huge city so I get good deals all the time lol
The Vega 64 is only slightly less than a 1080ti
Yeah, one of the main reasons I want to live somewhere near new york, cali, florida, or vegas
Nvidia GTX 1080ti?
Yeah
No I mean the price lol sorry should have explained
Yeah the price
Last time I saw $1,200+
No way
used 1080ti's go for like 525-550 rn
I haven't looked in a little over a month
Not for a 1080ti
1200 is new 2080ti price range
Yeah
Heh. They're about the same performance as a 2080ti
I just looked there between 1,100 to 1,500
1080ti's match with 2080 not 2080ti
Seriously?
The Ai cores are the main difference
The RTX and GTX are around the same performance if used in the correct rig
Buy one used, took me 30 seconds to find 3 posts selling em for under $600 on r/hardwareswap
The only time a 2080ti is better than a 1080ti is when the game is designed around using RTX
Nice
Sweet thanks for that
When you disable rtx a 1080ti will preform similarly to a 2080, 2080ti usually beats it
But not for Ray tracing
The games I play aren’t generally RTX based

quick little check, 520-600 range
the 600 one is only cause he's insuring the package through the shipping provider which'll usually add 30-50
My worry is I’ll bottleneck my cpu with an op gpu
It’s an Alienwares prebuilt one designed for the R7
That's fine
But it’s an i7 8700 3.20
you said you have a i7 8700 with a gtx 1060
Alright thanks. My one friend told me I can’t go above 1070 because of the cpu I trusted him because he worked at geek squad before
if anything the gpu is the bottleneck
Yeah currently that’s my issue that’s why I wanna upgrade
you just said your bottleneck was the cpu with an op gpu
"My worry is I’ll bottleneck my cpu with an op gpu" am I just reading this wrong
That was a worry of mine not my current situation
oh shoot
You have to worry about your motherboard mostly
The motherboard is the bottleneck
But
I just read it again my bad, you said you worry you will bottleneck it
That means your motherboard has a 3.0+ pcie x16 slot
If that comes down to it I’ll rebuild it with my NZXT case
Alright thanks
are you sure it's the r7 aurora?
You'll notice a huge difference depending on the graphics card you have now
Yeah. I have all my paperwork and warranty to prove that
I just looked up the specs and the r7 aurora should have an i7 8700k and a gtx 1080 or 1080ti
He already purchased it
nvm, apparently there's a bunch of different specced ones
It’s an older one. The one I have is an i7 8700 it came with GTX 1060 with 8 GB but I upgraded the ram to 16 GB 3000mhz Corsair
just found another one that has 8700 and a 1070ti
I have 1,200 to get a new GPU I just don’t know what I wanna go for at this point just waiting for the right price drop or deal
I'd say get a used 1080ti for ~550
Paypal will cover it if you get scammed, and don't do anything through non reputable sites
use something like r/hardwareswap
I treat all my hardware like a baby, but I know other people drop GPU's
@modest reef
Lol
You know who I am talking about
Some of the parts in my pc would be considered adults, they've been used way past their relevancy
I’m looking at the inside right now and they have SLI trays installed already I may just SLI a 1080
Don't sli
ahh
There are very few games that benefit from sli, it would be better to get one high end card then sli 2 1080's
Sli doesn't work on every game
And when it doesn't it's like a massive rave party in game with shadows or other fun things
I have 2 1080ti's
They're almost never in sli
Because it doesn't work in 80% of games
Or more
Here's the current setup on a PC I got for free
It doesn't have a proper/dedicated graphics card though, so what would y'all recommend?
Or should I just save up and build something newer?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WJGpTB
how do i get this transparent thing off my screen?
WINDOWS 7?!?!
im talking about what @jade trail sent
oh
@jade trail upgrade to windows 10
And then any graphics card will work with that build fine
wow, $320
Basically how much do you want to spend on a graphics card at that point.
That's $320 with some parts not available
I'd say a 1060 6gb/rx 580 8gb for low end up to a 1070ti would work well with that
well yeah but still
Meaning it's probably a $800 build or close to it
he said he got it for free lol
NOO
they have no use in this world
No
i think he did that just to rage us
16 series are awesome
Because RTX is a joke
1650 is shit, and 1660 isn't worth since you can get a used 1060 6gb used for $120
ok rtx is a joke but 16 series isnt any better
When RTX released several cards literally blew up
I mean I'd honestly get a 2017
I never said get an rtx
2070*
@echo kraken the 1660 is not a 1060
ik
Hardware is 100% different
It's pretty darn close in preformance tho
Nope
What’s better 1660 or 1060
It can keep up to a 1070ti
the 16 series is an absolute joke and makes no sense naming wise
If you're going budget just go AMD
1660 is way better. Newer chipset. Faster memory
huh. okay, then.
I wasn't sure if I could get a newer card like a 1660 or 2060 and be good
or if I was going to have to stick with something like a 1060 or rx580 like Puddles suggested.
does upgrading to win10 make that much of a difference when it comes to graphics cards?
the 16 series is iffy
hence the debate between these guys about it
1660 is better, I never said it wasn't...I'm saying the price is a joke.
$270 for a mid range gpu, no thanks
i just look at the bottom of my screen "@ everyone is typing"
I'll be fine with the 1060 6gb for $120 used
Windows 7 will no longer be supported in less than 8 months
If you want to try the new RTX stuff I'd get a 2060, or if you want some better performance, a 2070
January 2020 it's done
I finally made the switch to win10 because of that
RIP Windows 7
I like win7 better, at least the feel of it, but no support is bad for everyone
it ins't even like Win10 is the worst thing ever
Is it possible to liquid cool an Alienware?
I mean we all remember that one mistake
1660ti costs even more tho
At 1080p
yes, I'm aware about win7 end-of-service
that's why if I do decide to just build something new, it'll have win10 on it.
if I get a graphics card for this thing, then I'll likely just use it again in the new PC that I'd eventually build.
never buy an actual copy of windows
I'd go AMD
The Vega 64 can go for around $600
Yet it's moreso their cards benefit me more
And it's powerful
wait a new Vega 64 goes for 400 now
I went Nvidia because I was tired of all this Nvidia built gaming
If you have an older system I would highly reccomend buying used parts, you can get some great deals
https://www.reddit.com/r/hardwareswap/comments/bkso41/usaca_h_parts_including_gigabyte_gtx_1080/
like this guys selling a 1080 for $350
He wants something he can keep
And move to a new system
That's why I recommend new
what's wrong with it, Mars?
As long as they weren't mined on inside an oven or got the shit end of the silicon lottery then a used 10 series should be fine for quite a bit longer
Gigabyte was smoking coke when they made these and nearly all of these cards are defective
oof. gotcha
It's even worse with the Vega 56 version
Well the difference is that most of the cards are overpriced paper weights while the 2080ti's are an act of terrorism
It's funny. The 1080ti
Is better than the 2080
But it's not close to the 2080ti
Yet new. It's the same price as the 2080ti
because nvidia is like apple, they release something and it stays that price
they keep it the same price so that you want to buy the new thing cause it's better
Yeah
I still wonder if paying $1500 for my card was worth it. Considering two kids kills my gaming time.
Yikes
Sup my disssle dogs
I'm a Telecom PM. Not necessarily. More the 9900k than the GPU. I wanted a top tier card so I pulled the trigger.
oof
Figured the precious time I have to spend gaming is worth it
Ohhhhhhh yeeet
I would've save a few hundred and bite the bullet for a few lost frames for a 2070 or a normal 2080
My one daughter is at my sister's tonight so I've been on since four. I don't even know what to do with myself.
The messed up thing is I had the 2080
And sent it back and got the ti.
Then I'm like I've done this why not pick up another?
After the Threadripper it's probably going to happen. 😂
I'm just delusional
Ngl Threadripper 3 scares me, assuming if it's coming out with the rest of 3rd gen Ryzen
In all honesty it was an investment. Going to be doing time lapse watercooled builds and uploading them. Have a few hours of footage I need to edit down. Hoping it goes somewhere
well post em here once you get that footage edited
Will do!
Since I'm going to College, I'm just gonna do one big hardware update this summer and just get a Radeon 7 and a Ryzen 3rd Gen CPU assuming if it comes out soon
i3 2100 gang lmao
lol
Feelbadman
Ah it's all good
Somehow it doesn't do to bas with the games I play tho
Paired emit with a 1050 and upgraded ram to 16gb a few months ago
Well at least you can play a few games
Yeah stop spamming jeez
Did y’all enter in the contest
Yeah
Yeah, hoping like hell i win
Light side or dark side
I chose dark for the ryzen and case looks
I prefer the sleek light theme more (in general), but the dark case was really nice
I just need a good pc for my oculus rift
I Preferred the look of the light case, but I did the Darkfor the Ryzen as well
Oh nice
🍆
Whatchu running with that rift atm?
And k really didnt put much thought into it cause I didnt think I'd win, still dont really
But hey, its be awesome if I did
For dark or light
Dark
I chose light cause I thought more people would chose dark
Well the Light Build had a 2070
I think more people are gonna chose light, better specs and an aio
I gtg bu Byer
Why the black picture
Good night sir Olive
Hello, I’m new to pcs a building, are the amd reference cards like the Vega 64 good cards or should I buy NVIDIA
Well it all come down to what offers the best performance at the best price
Yeah true
AMD is a bit volatile when it comes to pricing whereas Nvidia will stick to a product's price for most of the shelflife
Okay
plus do you want ray-tracing, or a re you interested in general performance
it's a fancy graphical effect that adds more dynamic lighting and reflections. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY0W3MkZFs4 this video is a decent example of what it's like
Lifted from the opening keynote of GTC 2019, Jensen Huang presents the newly-created Quake II RTX demo. This walkthrough shows off upgrades to the legendary ...
Okay thank you
Got ya
🍴
How do i know if i can put a better graphics card in my pc
What do you mean by that
Like how do i know if itll fit and it be bette4r
just know your case
hmm could i send it two you and you know?
i mean the dimensions are prob in the description of the site
ok so then look at ther graphics card dimensions and I should know?
both the gpu and the case dimensions for the max gpu length it supports
find the card length on the mfr site, find the gpu length clearance on the case mfr site, keep in mind any radiators/andor/fans that may make that case gpu length shorter
mhm
well ik my gpu is a amd a8 vision 5700hd
im ingame so i didnt explain a whole lot
Pretty much anything would be a decent upgrade, what's your cpu
tf is the amd a8 vision 5700hd
isnt that a cpu
cause im bot getting any results rn on google for a "amd a8 vision 5700hd"
a8 is an amd apu yes https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/a8
Amd 🤵
he said "his gpu was a amd a8 vision 5700hd" and i was so fucking confused because that def sounded like a cpu lol
he sure knows what he talking about
I need a gpu under 300 is there a better option than 1660ti if I'm bying new
If buying new probably not
Okay that's what I was thinking thanks
i mean an rx 590 is 15% slower than the 1660 ti
it might be a little slower but you can still get a rx580 for over $100 less
and have just about the same experiace
From personal experience
AMD vs Nvidia
You end up getting a more stable experience with Nvidia
I had AMD forever
i'd say that's extremely anecdotal at best
Every new game had some glitch
That amd cards would priduce
Like just cause 3
The ground would never render
So you were constantly running around floating
And hitting everything
Way I see it tho if you like something don't let others keep you from it
and i've been living with a flickering desktop for the last 5+ months on a 2060 because of a known driver issue with dual screens
so it's not really any diffrent
It is
You bought new hardware
Brand new AMD had an issue with a bad driver causing specific AMD cards to have a black screen
The only way to fix it
Replace the whole card
They all have their issues
But games are designed around Nvidia
again that's also no diffrent than all the bad 2080's
It is getting annoying that games do that
I don't classify the RTX graphics cards as existing
RTX died when it launched
I'm talking about 10 series and 16 series
Or GTX lineup specifically
Like the Vega series
Amazing lineup
I'd get one if I didn't have a 1080ti
My 2 Raideon HD 7980's still work amazingly
Whats a good card that I can get used for about $100 for 108p high settings?
Is upgrading to a 2060 from a 1050ti worth it? What gpu do you all recommend? (That isn’t 1000 dollars??)
I heard there were issues with the 2070
And people are also saying the RTX is pointless
Ray tracing is pointless
Well yeah
But its still a great card
I would assume so
2070 is basically between a 1070ti and 1080
Do you all think it's time to upgrade from a EVGA 980 SC?
yes
Yes
😂
™
@wraith patio yeah I think so, my 980 ti also a evga sc just died too XD
only had it forr about 6 months too :((
@maiden night Its gonna suck trying to sell the card lol
Ive had mien for like 4 lmao
yeah selling is gonna suck
Ill ship it tonight! @marble flint 😉
Im trying to scrape together about $100 to buy a used rx 580 until I can afford an rtx 2060 for the time being
i dont have to say but its not listed in rules
this discord isnt responsible for any information you give other users D:
Might be worth the crisp high five :0
@wraith pasture i would think that would be quite obvious to most no?
True
only person you can 100% trust is neweggservice on this discord
Who wants to pretend i gave my address to you and u came and stabbed me so i can sue newegg
nope
I trrust you @wraith pasture ;3
doesnt mean I dont trust a megumin fan 😛
i just moderate their two discords, twitch and mixer.
ohhhh
even more reason not to trust me

on a side not, not buy EVGA GPU's anymore
note*
after 3 cards and 2 RMA's i just dont have trust
3*
RMA's
i feel like your psu might be frying them
BLD doesnt seem like a bad option just so u just have to deal with the 1 warranty
LOL
Hey
Hi
I meant to put 3 haha my keyboard double types
my psu is fine I think, no problems with the gtx 460 im using atm but we'll see, if I do indeed sell one of my game accounts im just building a new pc altogether since i'll be getting over $1k
i thought my psu was fine
Does the 460 require power
till it fried my gpu then sudoku'd itself
Lol
@fallen schooner yeah two six pins
the first one a capacitor blew, and same with the next, this last one Im not sure cause its acting different, still "works" just comes up as a microsoft adapter and locks the resolution to 800x600
I'll do that tomorrow I guess, if it is broken though I might aswell sell an account and build a new desktop, im thinking rzen and a gtx 2060 or 2070
ryzen*
how much you think I could sell a used 4790k for?
@fallen schooner Jeez 4790k on ebay used is over $200 o.o
Yeah
People want 4790k's because they're still a solid chip for gaming.
Like a buddy of mine wants to put a 4790 in his Asus g20 and use that for his VR PC.
You guys hearing all that crap about the Navi GPUs? I was just curious if there's any truth to it
Ah good to know
It'd be kind of neat though if they are able to do that much performance at a relatively affordable price
Just ordered a GTX 1080Ti hope it’s worth the 1,200$ price tag
USD?!
Yeah
yikes.
Why?
Not a TI. I got an msi overclocked 1900mhz
trolly?
What chu mean?
lol atomic was smart
1200? jesus thats like when they launched, nowadays 1080 ti's go for 700-800 rtx 2080 ti's go for more than 1k
you better cancel that lol
prob some headass special edition lmao
only 1080ti I could find for near us$1200 is the Founders Edition
he prob got that
exactly
you prob had to ask some random guy on the street to buy a gtx 1080 ti for the same price as an rtx 2080 ti
lamo
are Founders Edition cards usually worth the extra price, though?
I wasn't aware they were a thing for a long while
oof
not too much
theres most likely a slight performance increase, but i doubt its worth the extra money
to a point, it sounds mostly like a thing for Bragging Rights, assuming there's only a small supply of them.
if they're still available though, then it probably means the price isn't high because of limited supply.
well, unless it is a limited supply but the price is still too high for most people to justify spending.
mhm
eh.....
not sure about everyone else's opinion on that specific card
but a 2080 version exists
for the exact same price
with slightly better specs, too.
well, there may be a specific reason that @cloud basin wants the 1080 TI Gaming OC card.
I'd recommend against it and get the 2080 TI version I linked instead, especially since they cost the same, but it's up to them.
I got the 1080 due to my power supply
A 2080 ti takes more power to run then a 1080ti does
And most of what I’m doing doesn’t need what the RTXs do
yeah, but it's a good way to future-proof and not need a newer card for a long while
a new stronger PSU isn't that bad to get either, further future-proofing yourself
the one I linked only recommends a 650W and 2 8-pin connectors over the 1080's 600W and 8-pin+6-pin connections.
I’m getting a 700W but with that and the price of the card and 16GB of DDR4 Corsair ram that’s a lot it’s self my budget went slightly over because of the psu
hm.... which PSU and RAM?
there may be more viable alternatives to get yourself back under budget
the 2 x 8GB ram?
and does it have to be 3000MHz?
because if 2400 will suffice for you, I have this in my current PC
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231964
there's us$20 saved.
as far as a PSU, this is on sale for us$80 and is rated 80+ Gold
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438060
side note: please don't take my suggestions as "You are wrong, buy these instead."
they're just that: suggestions. could be better or could be worse than what you were already planning.
I just like window-shopping and playing on pcpartpicker.com
theres someone selling that exact same card on craigslist here for $650
You paid $1200 for a 1080Ti when you could have easily paid $700 for a 2080 and $180 for a power supply to support it.
I wasn't going to say it, but yeah. lol
I would return it and save a dollar 😐
Just a dollar
But you can hang it on your wall saying you saved that dollar going RTX.
Ooooooor buy a used 1080ti for $550 and save nearly $600
that too
that too
And have one of the best cards on the market
morning Reapie.
1080ti is still like 2nd or 3rd only to 2080ti and rtx titan
Morning
I mean 1080ti is still a beast, but not at that price.
They cost that right now new though
could have got 2 of them
Unless you're scared of used like it's the plague, I'd suggest buying used
I am
Especially if they still charge 1200
I will never buy used
Would you feed old formula to your baby?
Considering baby food has a shelf life of like 10 years probably
I'm basically saying my PC is like a baby to me. I'm not giving it used parts
I guess I've just had different experiences then, my cpu is going on 8 years old and works like it did then. Used ram in my system works great too
If I used it then that's one thing
Idk what the last person did to it
I might buy a dropped graphics card
Right @fallen schooner ?
si.
there is refurbished for 799
I got the 799 one
GTX 1080ti for 799 it’s the gaming oc
Man, you are ripping yourself off D:
I don’t want a 2080 tho my guy
Ok
I wanted the 1080ti for looks and it matched my style of game better
1080ti is better
👍
How’s the amd 2600 for a budget card?
about as good as it gets
According to GeForces pc simulation run the GTX 1080ti is better for 3D analytic games
The 1080 ti is also more expensive. I was going to upgrade it that or a 2080 later
ive got a non-working 970 g1
Just get Radeon VII it’s cheaper than 2080 and if you overclock it’s better too
The prices of 1080 ti is inflating
And 2080 should’ve been the price of 1080 ti when it first launched
But we got skadoodled into buying amd cards cuz the prices keep going up
👁👄👁
Guys i am gonna buy RX570 but i dont know which custom card has best performance
what is your budget for a gpu
$135
alright
get the powercolor red devil rx 570 4gb
its def one of the best rx 570 out there for that price
and also because i would recommend it since it's in my list
it has 3 fans so more cooling
sorry, thats a good one, though you can get a bigger case for the same price
if you're willing for some extra frames to get a bigger case
if you really dont care about the frames, get the powercolor red dragon rx 570 instead, its like the little brother of the red devil
a little bit less performance, but very small, but for me, its worth the extra teeny ten dollars
Bro u r increasing my budget
i said you could get the powercolor red dragon
its 10 dollars cheaper
if you really want an itx build go ahead
How about sapphire pulse & Asrock?
those are good choices too
most of them are, just the prices and base clocks are a lil different
whatever is in your budget, go ahead.
Thank you
you're welcome
But the prices are same of sapphire, asrock and red dragon
If i google it then what is the purpose of this app?
sigh***
i mean you can compare those models
it isnt hard
discord servers arent the only way of getting information and help for your stuff
google exists for a reason also, you gotta do research, if you cant find anything, then you ask us
It is hard and confusion cause many website give me different results
nvm
ill do it for you to help you out
you need help
what cards are you looking at right now
the sapphire?
list em
ill compare em on google
Sapphire pulse, power color red dragon, Asrock, xfx
alright
Im waiting bro
waits one minute...I'm waiting bro
oh i already dmed him yesterday lol
I need some help picking the right card.
I need a new card for rendering using b3d's eevee , which is a rasterizer so it'll really see a huge improvement from gpu then cpu.
My computer is a Dell T5500
Processor: 2 × x5650 6 cores 12 threads 2.65 ghz
12 cores 24 theads all together
Currant Graphics card : trash
Ram: 36 gb ecc 9 × micron 4gb
Psu: dell 875w 80+ silver
At first I was thinking for my price range a gtx 1070 , but I've heard a few things about the 1660 that made feel conflicted.
I'm also considering a gtx 980 .
budget wise I might be able to get a 1070 ti.
i heard the RTX card are a beast for rendering
Rtx are great, but out of my price range, I can go maybe $330 usd
Also cycles is a path tracer , eevee works more like a game engine, but it's still in beta so I can't find relevant benchmarks for it.
then you can prob get an rtx with 330
Whoa , they are a lot cheaper then I thought
The 1070 ti on user benchmark prefomes 6% better and with the extra 2 gigs I think the 1070 ti will best for me .
Right after I posted I got a bit more cash, so that changed things a bit haha
Still thanks , it's always good to look into other options
So if anyone can offer some help, I slapped my 980 ti back in to see if I could maybe have some luck and it might just randomly work again. It shows up in device manager now but here are 2 screenshots that have me confused
still locked to 800x600 and whenever I uninstall and reinstall the drivers for it, it just reverts back to 800x600
yeah i have one there good
check your pockets.
oh wait, where is the last place you had them?
never
