Yasuo is very skillful and rewarding if mastered
yas's active ult is not meant to deal monstrous damage
it's his ult passive
you get 30% armor pen everytime you crit
Well, assuming yasuo mid, you have a general game plan you really need to get in the habit of especially against ranged characters and control mages.
A:farm comes first always
B: if you deny a major form of CC and you have wards to know you arnt getting ganked, you need to try to deal dmg. For example if you windwall Lux light binding, dash through minions, take a short Dash/auto/stab/auto > dash away trade and go back to defensive farming.
C: yasuo is a finisher, not an engager. He excels at taking advantage of cooldowns mid fight. Ideally you’ll have someone else who will engage for you, but if you manage to bait cooldowns and deny them with windwall, or notice the enemy has blown all there major forms of CC, it’s your time to dash in there and get dmg.
D: if your ult isn’t going to hit more than one or 2 people in a team fight, don’t take it unless your team has a player advantage, or it’s a pick on the teams enemy Carry.
Remember, yasuo is an opportunist champion he’s considered a fighter, but really plays more like an assassin in team fights. Look for ult opportunities provided by major knock ups from teammates, think malphite Wu Kong etc. remember you can ult of small displacements like thresh flay. Lee sin kick, Tristana ult etc. you are looking to take advantage of gaps in a fight where the enemy has blown its CC on other champions or missed them, take short trades and then back up as they get cooldowns back, and position at a distance you can re engage after they blow more abilities on someone else.
Also in team fights don’t spam your dash. You are looking to manually control who your dashing through, champions or minions, so you can position at the edge or your ranges, or get through the frontline and to the enemy Carrys in the back.
In a team fight, If your hitting tanks after you have your knock up primed, you’re doing it wrong.
