I've had times in my life when I've been one of those Holiday-of-the-Month-style teachers. πŸ˜€πŸ“… January is, in my determination, the month of contemplation and of quietness. Nature forces you to slow down and sit. Perhaps take the time to write a haiku.

So coming through December into January, I knew this next build with Blender, hosted in Hubs, would be themed as a quiet space in a winter forest. It would be a nice place to sit and think, a place to visit regardless of the actual weather.

I am happy to open it for visitation upon request.

In the meantime, I wrote a blog post about building it with Blender! https://heatheredodds.blogspot.com/2026/01/my-birch-winter-forest-contemplation.html

β€’ Started with "Distribute Objects on Plane" idea. Ditched it. You might want to know why. βž•
β€’ Made my first (nearly all inclusive) UV Texture Atlas 🎨
β€’ Added my first layered sound file πŸ”‰ 🐦 🌲

I really like the writer for this. Is there a video demo where we can listen to the audio and see the visuals?
