||for me those comments read like "having Verg interfere in Canto 6 overshadowed all"||

The difference is, that there's a lot more cases than just that one verg part in canto 6

||theres: sinclair with all the stuff connected to his future, the greg reveal, moses's gang properly appearing, vespa as a colour, hohenheims gang generally being really peak(he's teal, daaamn).....and the writing is also different, in canto 6 the whole sinner group was together so the attention was never really taken away from heath too much. In canto 9 you had the shifting pov's with completely seperate groups, so the focus was taken from ryo multiple times...so these moments just stand out more as their own subplots instead of working towards ryo....so a lot of sinners couldn't even react to the fight against each other's nursefather cause they had their own battles to deal with...as a result the sinners couldn't really interact with ryo most of the time||

||as a result, I can certainly see the argument of it coming off as unfocused compared to earlier cantos||

||For me it's more like people want to see it, but when they see it, they start to say it's bad, but if you don't show them, it's also bad. If you show too much it's bad, if you don't show enough it's bad again. We had the same thing since Canto 7 "main sinner" wasn't in focus as much, Hong Lu barely did anything, sure it's in character, for Ryoshu she had enough time on screen, actually doing her own thing. Everything else was just an addition to this. Oh right, how can I forget the mandatory "it felt rushed" comments for every Canto. I understand that there is no perfect thing, but it's like people expected it to be only about Ryoshu, in my opinion it would be bad. Structuring whole part 3 as LCB ONLY going to retrieve Golden Boughs would be stupid with all the powerhouses we had at our disposal and silly from writing perspective. Regarding Greg and Sinclair, we always had those reminders about their potential, the only thing I can understand is the second smoke war, that is a big drop.||

||also regarding LCD fanservice, not that many people even read DD, so they might as well be new characters for a lot of people, so fans of DD saying that this overshadowed everything too||

||Also, that's essentially a level 80+ enemy boss with 4-5k HP and at most -20 defense level, Don had like -45 and you didn't have to get him to 0, Lei had permanent Morositas and also closed the fight at about 1k||

Rien has 4.3k HP, 88 defense level, conditional up to -20 defense level, and ends the fight at 100 or less hp||
