Hi there, I seem to be getting a loop for my post-install root patches.

I run the patcher, and it runs just fine and requests that I reboot my computer. I do so, and OCLP opens up again, states that I dont have the post-install patches installed and requesting that I install the same patches (Haswell + Kepler) again. At some point I saw the extensions were being caught in the privacy and security settings in System Preferences. Once I approved these, my resolution came back to normal and I was able to control brightness again, but it seems my gfx acceleration is non-functional and the tool continues to prompt me to install the post-install patches again. Would appreciate any assistance!

I found that the automatic graphics switching was toggled off in the battery control panel. I tried toggling this back and uninstalling the root patch and subsequently re-installing it. I am now receiving an error at the end of the install.

(Seems I'm having trouble uploading pictures) - the error is right at the end where it says unable to build new kernel cache. Reason for patch failure: 31

No variant specified, falling back to release.

Error Domain=KMErrorDomain Code = 31 " Error occured while building a collection: 1) one or more binaries has an error which prevented linking. 2) could not use 'com.nvidia.web.GeForCeWeb' because: cannot find symbol for metaclass pointed to by _______ etc etc

Happy to report I've solved the issue after some googling! To fix it I did the following:

  1. Removed all kernel extensions in /Library/Extensions except for: EnergyDriver.kext HighPointIOP.kext HighPointRR.kext SoftRAID.kext
  2. rebooted the computer
  3. re-ran the root patcher. This time, OCLP correctly prompted me to ignore the system prompts to approve the extensions in system preferences.
