Hi, just did a full install of Monterey 12.6 with OCLP on my cMP 5,1 with an AQC107 10gbe adapter card. As you can read in the inet Apple cancelled support for this chip with some Monterey 12.3(?) version. No driver anymore, at least for non Ivy Bridge systems which the cMP 5,1 is.
Now, my Mac shows some PCIe card, but does not load any drivers for it. So, currently no 10gbe ethernet with my system. With Mojave no issue here.
I couldn't find any hints on how to enable such a system with 10gbe with any 10gbe adapter with or without OCLP 😫
Is there anyone out there with concrete hints?

Yes, already saw this. But, it's in a 2013 Ivy Bridge Mac Pro 6,1 context. I'm absolutely not sure if it's the same procedure with a cMP 5,1. And there's no feedback on success...

The drivers are going to be the same, I'm sure. Also I saw mention of the AQC107S still being supported elsewhere

Yes, also read that about AQC107S. Though, in a different article they say ALL AQC chips are affected. Another one states Intel chips should work. And all this mixed with Monterey < 12.3, 12.3+ and different cMP models. So, in the end, I simply don't know how to draw a clear conclusion for my specific configuration 🤣
And I still hope for a clear statement for OCLP 🙏
BTW, is this a/the channel OCLP developers may look into?

I managed to get the potentially affected kext file IONetworkingFamily.kext from Monterey 12.2. It's said to be the last version working on a cMP 5,1. It consists of several ethernet drivers, including those for the AQS family.
Now, I thought it would be a rather easy task to exchange exactly this kext file. But, I couldn't manage to do so. Recovery mode, disabling SIP, unloading kext and the like, no chance to make changes to the kext's folder /System/Library/Extensions since it's constantly read-only.
I guess circumventing this is called "injecting kext files" in Opencore/OCLP.
Any idea how to make this step?
