Mid 2012 Macbook Pro - failed after time machine restore

I have successfully loaded monterrey and created a new user. I then went into migration assistant and loaded my time machine backup (Mojave). Then it fails to boot up after. Tried it the first time and checked all the settings and failed. Did the process again and unchecked system but checked network and everything else and still failed. Trying again with only user and apps selected.

This is all done from a clean install. Any tips or ideas.

Try manually copying your user profile from the Time Machine backup to the /Users folder, and then create a new user with the same name to import it
