Insomnia (working title)

Hey there! For the past few months (since October, to be exact), I have been creating my very own game, Insomnia! Originally, this was a solo game jam idea, but I decided that I wanted to work on it more and try to finish it.

And then it dawned on me that I never actually created a dev log on this project yet! So I will be periodically uploading the progress I have made so far. There will be a lot of updates to this game, as I plan on releasing this game at some point. I appreciate any sort of feedback, and would love to hear your thoughts as I upload!

I wanted to create a child-like horror atmosphere for this game, and I hope you enjoy it when it releases! Okay, that's it for this introduction! Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for future dev log updates, because there will be a lot!

This was the very first concept of the bedroom. A "prototype room" you could say. Its pretty empty at the moment, but it gets the job done.

I made this area just to quickly visualize how I wanted the game to look and perform. I created a very simple flashlight that the player can toggle on and off, and other than being able to look around, that's pretty much all the player can do at the moment.

This was when I was first working on the mechanics for the player. I created a simple script that allowed the player to go under the bed, as well as the ability to get out of the bed!

neat concept tho the name will def need work there are like 4 games with that title some of which are AAA games just as a heads up
