Other than upgrading your house and upgrading the shops I think that’s about it in wild world and city folk right? Also if you donate bells in the town hall you unlock more buildings and apparently you get special items

You can unlock emotes if you visit the city in city folk and you will find shrunk walking around your town in wild world
