I’m open to changing it, but ye it’s suppose to be there
also the road seems a little empty, maybe some decorations
what is down from here
My airport. This is my entrance
Maybe a fountain, or a complete dinosaur with rope fence around it
I’ll try something like that. Thank you
I’ve been through real airports with a dinosaur promoting the museum, maybe add a simple panel with an info script beside it
Nothing says welcome like a T. rex
@tidal dagger this is the start of the entrance if that helps. I think I’ll change the bridge and maybe change the pattern I used for the ground
I think I’m gonna try putting lady liberty in the middle bc I think a Dino might be too big
If you do go “dinosaur” you could replace a couple of those bushes with single square fossils or single square fish on display stands
Decided to redo my market area a bit! These Gyroids were originally in the foreground, but they were incredibly hard to see. So I moved them around a bit! Oh, and I made a path that leads directly into my museum. But you can't see that one lol. Now I need to find out where to actually put my shops... Also, this area is still nowhere near finished. There's a lot of stuff that I need to add like Bistro Tables and Clothes displays for the Ables. Oh, and more Gyroid shops
This is super cute
love all the water. I would put a wagon in the middle maybe?? Or off to one side. And some scattered papers
It kinda reminds me of the house from the movie Up you just need more balloons 🥲😂
Oooh I like the idea of a wagon! Ty!
Ty for all the suggestions btw !
I visited another island and I’m desperate to master this asthetic. 🥺
i made an ice skating rink ⛸️ ❄️
i really don't know whether i want to put a brick or the plain brown zen bridge. usually i don't go for brick but idk..
i'm gonna go with brick and post the results
zen seems better 4 me
I have an empty entrance and I don’t know what to do
what is your theme?
Um kinda dark with hints of blue pink and purple
dark as in scary or gothic?
Goth
wow yeah
Well everything else is empty as well, what do you plan to do on that giant square? Usually the best thing is to build the entrance first, as the pros say
lol i started in a corner
That's good too, even more if you have an idea of what you're doing, unlike me ahah
i just build trial and error til i like it
I think that you can maybe do something similar to what it's shown in the picture, but you make the water being left and right, keeping a middle road that goes into the plaza
Idk why but i can't really do that without a base idea, it makes me scared I screw things up
Thanks guys I’ll try that ☺️
im always a big fan of trees and bushes, u could decorate with some of that, flowers and some fences in your theme
and then some object also corresponding to your theme to tie it together
Looking for an ruined entrance for museum with vines and stuff, anyone got any inspiration? 😩
How people have so much talent 😭 please share with the people in need 😰
my islands trash compared to yalls
i need to step up my game and fill everything in
Has anyone an island that is a farm. With the villagers as lifestock?
I know it sounds dark but it is possible, right?
Do any of you have cliffs near beaches? let me see!! i need ideas pls ❤️❤️
I give you my Cinnamoroll boba tea cafe and my ice cream/cotton candy diner.
This should help. From @Zozecrossing on Twitter
Ooo thankssssss
anyone got any cute ideas for little spaces, my theme is a rustic-medieval thingy
the area is in front of path so anything but something that obstructs the view to the path
Anyone have any ideas for putting villagers houses in certain spaces. I'm losing my mind over here. 😤
@woven drift hedge maze?
Or cliff maze if the hedge isn't tall enough to hide what you want to hide.
Is there anyone that can help design a farm including terraforming
my entrance whaha
This is what I completed just now. Now, I need to figure out what kind of furniture to use. This is going to mainly be a outside bakery/restaurant area. I kind of want to stick with 2.0 furniture and stuff. I don’t know.
Anyone know what type of pathway this is and what it’s called and how to get it
#custom-design-help🎨 might be the best place to get help
Can you show me your museum areas ? I'm lost
Anyone with entrances incorporating a monster statue?
My campsite area! I'm not finished yet but I really like it so far! Though, it's a shame that I have to block it off so people don't steal my glowing moss though. But oh well! Does anybody know if there's enough room to incorporate a real palm tree into it?
Personally i think everyone should make a place on their island to sacrifice sea bass
Day 2 of Sea Bass Sacrificing!….
When you redo your island from scratch, what is your typical order of operations? Terraform first then pathways then buildings then furniture/decor? Trying to do this in the most efficient way possible. Any help is very much appreciated because this is the first time I’m redoing my island from the beginning
Terraforming it's definitely the priority
Bc otherwise you'll do the same job two times if you wanted a cliff after you put all the stuff you want in place
I guess the buildings cone second, but you cam naybe move the main ones (expecially the museum since people often like to do a grand entrance) and decore that space before moving anything else
Thank you so much!
This is what my bakery looks like at the moment. What items should go on that back row? I feel like there’s too many wide items, so it’s lacking variety (I guess). I like all those items, but I want it make sense.
- Very cute design!
- How did you record your switch??
Honestly I find it easier to set your paths first then terraform then decorations/plants. It depends on what your theme is going to be but setting a path first makes it easier because it makes it a lot easier to see how much space you’ll need/want and where you want to put things. And you can terraform over paths so if you change your mind on where you might want a mountain or something it’s pretty easy to fix.
You record keeping the picture button pressed for the duration of the video
Thanks and you hold down the button under the left control pad. It records 30 prior to you holding it down.
Like, I walked around and then pressed the button.
Any ideas of something I could put around here? I’m kinda bad at entrances. I’m thinking of placing a valiant statue and two beautiful statues on the center thing but I’m not sure about what to put around it. (Flowers? Cedar trees? Something else?) I don’t really have a specific theme, it’s more like a mash of everything since I’m planning on doing spooky areas, theme parks, stores, country, etc. (P.s are the party lights ugly? lmao)
You could make your entrance spooky. Like, use those Halloween diy items and stuff. For flowers, orange or purple ones would look nice.
hi guys! i’m looking for city-themed islands (preferable with lots of lightning and neon signs) for inspiration, I’m starting to build something like this but I’m kinda low on ideas. if you have any images, screenshots or DA codes to share I’d really appreciate. thanks!
Hey does anyone wanna come and help@me design my forest area of my island
Pls give feedback on this entrance
aa, sorry for posting over, i'm just excited that i managed to start my entrance
how does it look?
any feedback? anything i should add?
I like it
it's not finished yet obviously skskdkdkd
my island doesn't have a specific theme i'm just going with the flow
I want my island entry to be more cooler looking i dont have a type of island i want this is my entrence give me edvice
You could terraform around your resident services and have it lead to other areas. You could also just terraform in front and make the pathing to where you would have to go around.
If you go on YouTube you could find inspiration. Someone has even made videos to help people who have close resident services.
Yeah, people often put bridges to the side and terraform to the right of the bridge with a close resident services
Red, yellow or a combination of the 2?
yellow kinda fits but do whatever you want :)
ok ty
What I like to do with entrances close to the airport is put a set of stairs and terraform around it, maybe add some waterfalls to the entrance while you're at it or statues
Alright, which option do you guys think looks better?
The second one fits in more
Thank you
Pics of my island so far including a little Pokemon reference :)
I finally finished my rock garden
How do you do that
I think there’s a guide for that
Alright
WIP still need some crates but here’s how my shrek island is going 💀
cool
Bro that’s amazing
Thank you!!!!
I honestly think that putting a cliff and stairs are the coolest and surround it with trees, bushes and flowers.
Idk what i did but yeah it's kind cool..
OOOO SO COOL
Little space behind my entrance. Thought it looked cute
Cute
Thank you so much!!!
I haven't been in my house in over 3 weeks, and in no way am I ashamed of that. The updates have been amazing, I live here now lol
I just got the terraforming took a few days ago and I am struggling with trying to come out with a layout idea for my island (cliffs , rivers, waterfalls ect) can anyone help me come up with a layout ?
I blew 3mill renovating my entire island, hate it, and already have plans to change the entire thing again
Big oof
Does anyone have any inspiration for cottage core or hobbit stuff?
Rough design for a new island, thoughts anyone? Don't know how happy I am with villager house placements
Keep in mind with the designer tools, you have less space than you think. The moat around Resident services is real fun. I would maybe suggest some elevation in the back of RS so you can give it a nice backdrop but still have the river. I tend to like to make a slight pattern with my houses like a diagonal or pair them off loosely. So for house placement with your river, I would try maybe a neighborhood with various levels behind RS or ignore house placement for now. So instead when you are designing a part, you can block in a house size if you feel like you need a good transition or a good spot for it. Helps create a more organic design imo
I like the idea for elevation behind RS, would you go directly behind it or across the moat where the orchard is?
hmmm depending on how you do the orchard I think it would depend. Personally if it was me, I would make it a kinda of bean shape diagonaled to the left a bit so it would have the river on level 2 and then wrapped a bit behind nooks (just cus I like elevation behind my shops/houses). Then I might consider a cut through (that I could hop across) to the right of nooks. So I have the option of going left or right. Let me draw on your pic one sec
As far as house placement goes, my first island design had a very tight knit neighborhood. I like the look of it but I don't want things to get cramped
Okay so the red is the elevation I might consider, black is the cut through. Blue is maybe a house suggestion with your current placement and river in mind (obviously don't need to follow this, I just added it for fun)
so the top of the moat would be a level 2 river?
I do like those house placements around the bottom of the crescent, would be nice if I could get them completely symmetrical but that specific placement doesnt bother me so much
Yeah you could always tweak the bridge placement if you want to, I just didn't. Yeah if you want to keep the full circle shape. Since elevating without including the river may be hard to do since you may not be able to round off cliff edges and stuff
I could always extend both the moat and the land around RS a bit
might see how the RS moat and crescent island moats look when connected
Oh yeah 100% if you want to do that you totally could. Or have just enough of a gap for a bridge to connect them before they touch if another thought
really not a lot of space around the bottom of the island for that though
Mine empty but needing supplys then I will so when it's done and complete :)
This is probably very specific but does anyone have islands with multiple biomes on them? I had the idea to have multiple biomes as an island theme but want some ideas if it is even possible
ooo i may do one inspired by genshin for this newer island i recently started but idk lol
hi :) so i sent this yesterday but i want to know if it looks good so far, i wanna know if there's anything i should add or remove when i get home and play
WOAH that looks so cute, niceee
i could never lol- im not good at designing, still learning the ropes haha
thank you! i actually added some flowers on the cliffs after i took that picture but i don't have a picture of that
OH trust me i'm really new to it as well
lol nice
i want to add benches somewhere but there isn't enough space around the fountain
i plan on putting both of my shops along the paths that are going left and right, and then after i'm finished with my entrance i'll work on a residential area
the stairs in the back going to that upper area i don't really know what to do with but the path up there is gonna lead to the right side of resident services
Can someone come to my island to give me tips about the design?
I just started terraforming and i could use some
omg ure an icon
Does anyone have any ideas/inspiration for rainbow/pride themed decorations or just super colorful? I’m thinking of doing half of my island just an explosion of colors and the other side spooky, but I have no idea what kinds of things I could build that could incorporate the colorful-ness.
These are not linned up well but ye get the point. I want some ideas what to put here pls.
Yeah its a tiny bit shorter than it looks like those two rocks are the same one
What's your island theme?
Black i guess
Goth kinda
For example when i find what i wanna put there ill change the stuff to their black version
Or grey if black not option
Im not a goth lol i just like the colour black
Cant go wrong with black 🤷♂️
Do you have an idea?
What are some of the things you already have on your island?
Speeding of what to put places, what should I put here? I'm goin for a mix of forest core and small bits of other themes bit mainly forest
would be a cute spot for a picnic area with a little painting corner.
Since I don't really wanna spam pictures of my island, here's a reply to my other ones lol
Should I put some kinda custom design path under this? Or just leave it as is, and see how it looks in the snow?
Hmm..
I allready have a spot picked out for a playground
Thats it
I think I wanna do some kinda version of The Path like uhhh
Maybe a circle under the Christmas tree?
This image I took from #path-codes
Like a libary lounge
How about an art class/pottery studio?
I might wanna do that maybe…
I wish there was snow already man :( my decorations don’t really pop in this lame orange
Nah it doesnt really fit the idea
This is just inspiration
A wood workshop. Toolboxes, crafting benches, axes, trees, fencing and other wooden DIY furniture
But if you look long enough theres cool ideas to do
Nah but now that im thinking of it i xpuld make it part of a library
And a staircase going up extending it
That could work
Need lots of bookshelfs but it would work
@alpine geyser you helped my come up with an idea lol thanks
😂
:0 i realized what I wanna put up there
Maybe a mini zen garden
I could probably put dobies house up there
Oooo not a bad idea
I found this imagine what it would looo like in animal crossing
And this
Looking for tips on shrubs lol. Basically, if you have them, do you plant them each season, based on which one will flower, or do you just have them all scattered about?
I have them all scattered about but I am also lazy so...
What do y'all think of this cliff shape?
Was thinking of making little landbridge thingy
Entrance to Zucker’s yard, Zucker’s food prep area and food trucks, Zucker’s Japanese restaurant, the fisherman’s wharf by the dock, Zucker’s yard and other entrance to Zucker’s.
Ima just reply to this so it can be seen*
I like it.
anyone have any good farm ideas??? i have a cottagecore island and want to have a pretty big farm
Changed my entrance a bit. Going for a more simple, natural theme :) Open to ideas for improvement!
I like!
Can I use this for inspo?
Go ahead! It's just a shape I carved out :) was gonna put in incline at the bottom where the ladder is for now.
Was wondering what to put here near the right side of my entrance my theme is city and cottagecore, so I’m open to any ideas that you guys have in mind on here etc. I’m open to any suggestions 🙂
I like to have different types of shrubs that bloom during different seasons around my island for diversity, it’s nice to see a select few blooming and totally not because im lazy and dont want to waste my time/energy/shovel durability/storage space
How should I fill out my empty spots here at my shop area? ❤️
Some fencing, rope partitions would be great around the holiday stuff like a more get in line to sit with santa feel. Plus it would help break up the space. Also consider, glowing moss for snow piles, snack stands, salvation army donation box near the shop, things you typically see in the season
The light arch that you can get for nmt in the ABD would also be great if you don't want fencing. Festival garland is also great
oml so many great ideas!! Thanks so much @stiff thunder ❤️
I need some opinions on my island and on how to fill empty space!
🤣
My flamingo island 🦩 🌴
redoing my museum area a bit
Any ideas on what I can add here?
idk why the first part feels empty, i still cant think what to put
maybe some cedar trees?
Do you think I should move the ice Arch and put something different there?@tidal dagger
Maybe that's right seems so empty
not really maybe put some pathing under it
Designing my villagers houses :3
Ok thanks
the bottom picture is absolutely gorgeous, I love the shape of the bridge on the cliff. I'm a big fan of clutter tho, so I'd recommend putting maybe a couple things beside the stairs and in the corners? Maybe change the cliffside a little so it's not just a giant square?
So here's how it turned out :p
I dunno why but whenever I think of zen garden I just think "bamboo"
Like the changing the cliff idea thank you
nice who's house is that?
yeah
That looks AMAZING! Could you send me the codes that you use? And maybe some pics of you’re island (I’m so jealous it looks amazing).
Sure! I just got a new path code today and can send you that. I'll try to get some other good screenshots of my island. I'm reworking a lot of it right now lol.
This is what I have so far. I think it’s cute. The wood partition seems out of place, but I think it fits considering I’m going for the mix matched look for the storefronts and stuff. What items should I put in that small space (before going over the bridge)? I was thinking about a small sitting area but I’m not sure. I don’t know if a small pond would look nice. I just need some ideas.
Maybe a sitting area with some store bags or boxes And a water drinking fountainm
Whats the code for the flooring you have there
I've just posted it over in #path-codes
Little backyard area I was working on today. It’s still a wip . Ignore the shrubs in the back. I keep them there for when I need em. Island is still in the works.
cute
Before and after pictures 🙂
oooo i really like that one.. i love those dirt paths
i wanna see some simplistic/not as crazy looking islands. i really like the more simple stuff
ty my farms are big cause this is how i make bells. I dont have an online membership so i cant trade 😦
turnips are to risky
yeaa i getchu. i have online but i mostly do my own bell making and farming I'd a real fun way of doing it
Currently my favorite spot in my island 😭
I really like this. I use vegetables to earn bells too. It’s like stardew almost
What should I do for this corner?
agreed wait till u see my pumpkins
i have like 15 of the green, yellow and white. And orange is like 50
hm idk
What kind of vibe do you want? You could have a signpost and bench maybe? With a lamp in the corner?
I would really like some help spicing up this area! There are gonna be plants on the dark dirt. I like cozy design and i like things to not look too sleek
I'm not sure about the fence either so if you have suggestions lmk
the fence seems repetitive, maybe use a fence shrub pattern
I am not sure what you mean
Ohh that looks cool ty!
or use actual shrubs! always looks super good and adds balance
so youve got the flat fence and round shrubbery
Yeah I use hibiscus in most of mine
please excuse the lack of shrubs … cant find any orange tea olives anywhere, but theyre definitely going around the flowers. other than that, any criticism or advice? maybe suggestions ^^
hm maybe you can alternate the fence like blue-yellow-blue-yellow. Haven't tried it but might work
yeah, i did try ! ^^ it didnt connect though, and its already very colorful compared to the rest of my island LOL
You could use one of the custom designs with that skipping game. Idk the english word but this
oh, hopscotch?
yeah
Yeah hopscotch
i have some chalk stuff around the outer path ^^
cool :D
maybe some custom design water puddles?
maybe ..
Ty
This is rly beautiful😍
Thank you! ☺️☺️
Im thinking of restarting cuz my island is messy. I'm not THAT far in the game... Any suggestions for theme?
@tidal dagger @copper matrix
Which do you think is better
what bush is that?
Hedges on the right and yellow hiscibus on the left
left/bushes
Farm
nice
You can edit cliff shaped?! How?!
Can someone please tell me how to edit my island..like move the houses and such…thank you!
To move houses, bridges and inclines, speak to Tom Nook in resident services. Terraforming (editing cliffs and water/rivers) is unlocked later in the game and will be accessible through your nook phone
Ah-so im not able to yet, as in still “early” in the game
It will introduce itself later :)
Great, thank you!
you could plant a shrub and use some hedge fencing?
this is a small knitpick but its a little bit too symmetrical? You could move some of the items around so its a bit less X formation-y a more like, organic(?). a very small knitpick though, it looks pretty good so far
I wanted to use partitions because they take up less room than fences
oh I thought there was room between the partitions for hedge fencing and a shrub mb
hm.. yeah i can see it ^^ but idk how to make it look good while making it organic
Yeaa true, it looks pretty good so far!
My Japanese onsen with waterfalls. A mini mall with standees and arcade.
The first area looks really cute! Perhaps to add more “stuff” and fill out the space, you could move the benches so their backs touch the fountain, then line the cliff walls with little market stalls & shrubs?
How did people decorate kappins dock??
I have a bench, some fish crates, and a light on mine. I can take a screenshot if you'd like! Tried to keep it relatively simple so I could still get to Kappn lol.
Yes please id love to see it!
Here you go! I tried to play with items of different heights to give it a little more dimension.
Custom designs? There’s a specific channel for that.
no not custom designs
Omg thats fabulous I’m gonna do something similar ty!
the island is so big idk what i want to do with the space 😭
no island designing
You could make like.. a multi themed island
Oh then yes.
thats good cause i have a lot of themes i want to use
You're welcome!
Any designs like this?
thats so pretty
I’m looking for designs similar to it
Here’s what I have so far, should I continue? Idk I kinda lost motivation and I still don’t know what I want my island to be
what did you have to do to get terraforming
Get to 3 stars
how do i see my rating
Talk to Isabelle at Resident Services.
sorry idk what im doing but i like your island
Anyone have some simplistic designs?
If you want to get your rating high just put as much furniture as you can outside. And put all of the fencing Tom nook gives you outside as well because it gives you a decent amount of points. It doesn’t have to be arranged nicely either.
Thank you for the help!
wondering which color bookcase looks best in my cafe/bookstore?
Hm definitely the brown
they’re both brown 🤣 i decided on the darker tho
how about chairs? matching or black?
Villagers would be able to actually it in the black ones... but there are other arm-less options to pick from as well
maybe the iron chair but in white? that way it sort of matches the table and villagers would still be able to sit on them
omg do u have the path code thats so cute
before vs after of my coffee shop/bookstore !! turned out super cute imo
What part of the island should I do. The circled parts are the ones I have already done
And I also need ideas because mines more of a cottage core island
I’m taking out all of my flowers and replacing them some of the flowers with glowing Moss and trees of the type that’s around it
If any of you have ideas on how to help me get to a five star I can open up my island
Been designing one of the beaches by the airport. A little fossil pond and a camp site.
Anyone got any ideas how to make the fossil pond a little less flat?
Could place a couple shovels, maybe use a wooden shop sign with a cute fossil custom design, some of the smaller fossils you have placed already could be placed on top of something else like a stool or a barrel, maybe add a stall along the back with related items on it. Could also plant a few weeds and flowers strategically in the sand to fill in the open areas.
Those are good ideas! Thank you!
My island
town hall WIP ^^
Can you share the sign design code plz?🥰
slowly but surely , again !!
Not the best but I’m working on a run down kind of small town apocalyptic island rather than a run down city that I have been seeing a lot of others do. Any tips are appreciated
It looks better at evening night tho
POV you visit the apothecary (who absolutely is not a witch) to pick up some herbs
I made a beach bar only to find gulliver passed out there the next day
I wanted to do a FLCL reference but i don't got the right color guitar ;-; and I wanted to use the pro camera thingy
So I moved my campsite to the other side of the island, and made it like a private camping resort with a private bath. Probably tomorrow or whenever I feel better (currently got a cold), I'll build a big waterfall from a tutorial that I found on YouTube. But till then, this is what I have so far.
I need help figuring out a space for a 2nd pound, currently I only have one.. red areas are already filled up: near the camp I have a forest-like area.. to the left of it I have my fruit trees.. and on the bottom a small picnic park/area
Work in progress of my rainforest area!
my island’s aerial view!
i finally managed to make a decent star lake/river after having no motivation aaa 😩 🤌
What that’s so cute, I love it! ✨
anyone have any ideas where i could put a neighbourhood and a farm? i feel i need to change the rivers bc they take up a good bit of space
the entrance is kind of driving me insane too because its so small
my finished campsite area! wanted to make it an organized mess and im really happy with how it turned out
So cute! Did you make the flower footpath? I’d love the code
suddenly i am sleeping now
ty! and the code for them is MA-9315-2465-0508
Tysm!
i changed some pathings uptop & traveled back to December. i rlly like how it looks in the snow
does anyone have any island ideas, i've flattened my island for the new update since i didn't like my old one anyway but i need like a theme or aesthetic
Some popular themes are cottagecore, fairycore, springcore, and kidcore. You could also do like a dystopian kind of island. If you want something more “original”, you could design your island based off a game or movie or show. You could also combine themes to create something new.
Thankss :>
Some nighttime pictures 🌸✨
so pretty
Love your island design! It's so gorgeous!
Campsite thing it’s not 100% finished
I have almost this same island! I ended up bringing the river behind Resident Serivces forward on the right side and making that corner my neighborhood. Still trying to figure out my entrance too
I’m doing a stardew valley theme island and how cute would it be to build the hat stand?!
I'm SO sorry for the late reply! Here is the design code 😊
My flower shop and entrance to onsen.
by forward do u mean further inwards?
small entrances are so hard, i think im gonna need to terraform
i also have double south river mouths. i wish it would’ve worked so i could connect them but i found it much easier to just let them be small bodies of water. that way there’s a lot of space in the back to build
oooo i like the look of this so much
do you have any pictures of your entrance? and island in general
yeah i can take some!!
so this is my entrance. i have more space so it’s a little grand but you can definitely scale it back!
@verbal zodiac this is my left river mouth. it’s a part of my campsite and the tent is right behind the cliff’s pond!
@verbal zodiac and this is the right river mouth. i just basically brought it up onto the second level and put a bridge leading to able’s!
hope it helps!
don’t know why the quality is so poor 🤨
so I don’t really change my island seasonally esp since I’m still working on this one and I was thinking I’d probably have to wait for spring/summer for my island to look like it’s supposed to again, but honestly I kinda love the green and white?? now the paths kinda look like places where people have trampled the snow back down to grass again
its lovely tysm!!!
That’s so pretty run with this theme
I don’t think I’ve ever seen like an island in the transition of seasons
Like a snowy island that’s beginning to melt/getting trampled
yeah I genuinely might just stick with this, I’m v happy with it
Not only is the idea new and fresh but it’s so aesthetically appealing
And the contrast with the orangey bridge
What does this say about society
I don't know what to do for this little pathway to resident services? Any ideas? I'm not using custom paths as I don't like how pixely they look and I always accidentally wipe them away
What do you mean do for the pathway? Do you mean like how to make it more interesting or the entrance in general?
I want a pathway leading up to resident services
But I don't know what I should do for it
It's one of either two or three ways to enter the plaza
Okay so more of entrance to connect to RS. hmm in that case you can consider fun shapes to make with the in game path for the main entrance. I'm personally a fan of this kinda shape for like a plaza (obviously roughly drawn haha)
Lemme show you the entrance area I made
To the island, I mean
Or what it is so far
Very nice
oh cute! hmm so a plaza may be a bit redundant (but great for seasonal decor!) At that point I would lean more on decoration around the path than the path itself. Consider items, how much of RS do you want to clearly show when you walk up to it. Do you want any elevation or like a pond near there. Stuff like that
It looks like there's an incline to the north?
Yes, there is! I added stairs.
I guess it is a little awkward trying to connect the airport directly to rs from that distance
Yeah, that's why I made an emerging path on the left.
I'd think to either make the airport less important by attaching this intersection to rs instead, or not have rs connected to this specific intersection?
Like it's a lovely area, but I think there's ample room to make it a bit of a stroll to rs?
I'm unsure if I want to reverse all this progress
WHAT ARE THOSE WALLS CALLED OOOOO
Totally understand
Do you want rs to be approached head on like that?
Or maybe something more winding, or cliffs in the way, maybe a bridge?
A bridge would be really cool actually! :0
I think you might be able to have a diagonal bridge branching off from your intersection?
With like a little forest path?
What does the area north of the fountain look like
I think you could keep the stairs, just ditch the long ponds
And maybe have like, one pond for the bridge to cross?
It's not much, it's just cliffs with stairs leading up to it
Like, maybe there's space for something like that?
Might have to play with the cliffs in the north
Maybe? I dunno
I have a bridge going off diagonal to the rs plaza
Looks like there might be enough space where you could fit something like that and still be able to walk up into the rs plaza?
Maybe? Honestly not sure how I'd implement that
fountain
I think, having a pond where the orange windflower is right now? You would lose some of the symmetry of course
But it might not fit anyway with where the staircase starts right now 🤔
bear with me with the floor plans (ik it sucks lol) but what should i do for that big empty space (the one thats labeled empty)? I was thinking of doing a residential/main st area with the rest of the villager homes, my resident reps home, and the tailors and nooks
my nooks area is finally coming together. gonna decorate a little more but I love it already
So I got this medium-sized unused space, i was thinking about putting some parking lots, but im not too convinced, any other ideas? Thanks :))
What if you did a couple of the evergreen ash items with a phone booth, a few bikes, and a little sitting area with table and chairs? Could fill it in with some street lights, a trash can, leaf piles, some some fencing.
Damn that's actually a really nice idea
I'm in the process of something kind of similar with an awkward sized space I have no other use for lol.
nook’s wrapping station!
you could nix the evergreen ash and use a pergola or gazebo or something too.
Just finished my museum entrance!!
Filling out the campsite/tourist beach
Pool? Some chairs
medieval building sides !
what should i put here?
Probably a bad picture, but I really love this little hangout area I built in front of resident services. Any suggestions on how to improve it further?
[Freddie Mercury memorial] I spent time on this to make it look just right.
I miss Freddie ❤️
I love that, truly a legend
maybe a little market or cafe if you dont have one already
Overgrown fishing area. Only part of the west beach I’m decorating
Maybe try making an ice-rink? It's pretty perfectly sized and it feels like it goes with your colour scheme~
or a cafe/restaurant
hi guys! i’m looking for city-themed islands (preferable with lots of lightning and neon signs) for inspiration, I’m starting to build something like this but I’m kinda low on ideas. if you have any images, screenshots or DA codes to share I’d really appreciate. thanks!
I need some opinions on this area. Does it look okay? The space is a continuation of what I have above on the cliff.
my island entrance!
any ideas of what to put in this area to keep these two areas separated?
what a cute idea 😊
I think it would look good as a Main Street/shopping district with nooks and the tailors but also with a little outdoor cafe or restaurant across the street from them as they don’t take up much room
Haven’t tried it yet. But just thought to share
hmm.
It mainly started with me wanting that tree island
And then the rest was just....throwing up cliffs and then chipping away as I liked it
I reccomend smaller raises around-maybe a big mountian with a valley in the middle?
How so?
Haven't put any detail in cuz current plan is to terraform everything first, then go back and decorate and tweak
Figured that would go faster lol
Any inspo for graveyards/ apocalyptic things? I’m trying to make a hidden path to a grave yard but I have no idea how to set it up
I want to redo my junk yard ,Any good idea ? Something easy but looks good ,Here my set before ,Just clear it today ^^ Maybe a theme ? My set up is so boring and want it to be cool junk yard
Maybe terraform different levels so it looks like it’s stacked high with junk and use permanent ladders to access them, I’d also add some damaged mini cars and maybe a bulldozer nearby?
you should use the app it rlly helped me
Island entrance
is it snowy for yall yet
Yes
ooh that seems cool! do you think a few villager homes would fit there too or no?
Love the snow, also choo choo
Debating whether I should change all my street lamps to the round ones 🥴 any suggestions??
Hey does anyone have any before and after pictures of areas look for some inspo
same
My Japanese zen garden. My island is complete. The da is up, but I won’t announce the dream address until January because, I’m still actively promoting my Christmas Island for this month.
so pretty
Do you have a dream code?
they said they arent sharing it
The person literally said "The da is up, but I won’t announce the dream address until January"
Wip on nook. I think I might make an intersection by here and add some bikes on the side! What I’m not sure of is I want to add a crosswalk on the right but I’m not sure how to end the fencing (on either side really) any ideas on what to put next to the hedges?
The turkey day stand is nice, I'm concerned that it will take away from the stuff behind it though. I thought about just extending the hedges but it didn't look right to me. I guess I could consider something lower to the ground?
At least for the left
Maybe a sale sign on the right?
I just saw your post as I was posting mine, @stiff thunder! But yeah, the turkey day stand could work next to the hedges, and the bunny...thing 😅 An ABD machine is always handy too (or a mailbox) and would fit with what you're going for. You could also consider a trash can or drinking fountain?
Oh the drinking fountain might be nice. my ABD is behind the tree 😄 I wanted to be sneaky haha
Thanks for the feedback!
Sneaky, sneaky 🤭
Idk if I’m supposed to ask this here but... does anyone have a nice design for a residents services near the airport like
can anybody help me figure out how big I should build the cliff area if I want my museum entrance to look like this? https://www.instagram.com/p/CCQ1n_BJeGI/
The museum itself is 7x4, so maybe start with a 13x9 area and terraform it to how you want it. It’s kind of hard to tell from the photo.
that works perfectly since my cliff's already 9 spaces exactly, tysm!
the first two i did for a 3x3 challenge and then the last one is just my island
love that waiting area! super cozy, and a cute use of the mario item
I'm still new to this but trying to make an island entrance. I tried basically sketching it out elsewhere before doing it (since I think I'd need to move several buildings to make the space for it)—the resident services is pretty far out from the airport. I wanted the statue of David (and his rear) to be part of the entrance, so I was thinking of having it so from airport you enter into a mini-plaza that guides you north onto what would be a straight path to the resident services. Then I'd decorate with peach trees, white lillies, columns, and other classical art. Trying to go for a "classical-punk" or "urban-classical" theme on the island overall.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/486280326025576449/919305086650437693/image0.jpg
I ran out of space in this sketch though, so like...this but bigger/more spacious?
Also unsure what else I would do with the cliffs beyond using them for the waterfall/entance—they might just be an obstacle that obscures view of what is beyond it. Any thoughts/tips/advice appreciated!
Oh sweet, do you have a DA? I’ve been looking for southern river mouths inspo
Anybody else a Freddie Stan? ❤️
Hi I have this small area surrounded by trees with lots of glowing moss ( I love them) and I don't know if I should just put a bench in here and fill everything with moss or if I should do anything else like a bonfire or something
fountain?
I already have a fountain and since it's in a small forest I don't think it would fit in here
I really like to just run around the moss but I'm afraid that just filling the space with moss will look empty
My airport is right below the fountain area here. Dock connects to the brick path on the left
what else should i add?
(i wish there was a snow pile item like the leaves and petals...)
You can use white yoga balls to look like a big snowball
Ice sculpture
good ideas!! ty!
You can also use that big moss glob and customize it white @junior ore
Progress so far on my kidcore island!
Mysterious camping site out in the middle of nowhere
Kid's tent
Maybe add some of those tall mushroom furniture to make it more fairytale-like
I believe I saw on reddit someone making that one, if you can find them you can probably draw a lot or inspiration
Buf other then that, good luck on your stardew island
kinda looks like froggycrossings kidcore islad
anyone wanna come give me some design advice i’m lost 😔
By the looks of it some paths Froggycrossing used, but what Jada made is definitely still unique,
maybe an overgrown playground?
My newly finished area
i made a hotel 💖 all the designs are from MA-5037-1104-8762
Any ideas of what to put in this open space to the right? I don’t really have a theme, but I want it to look somewhat modern.
That’s really nice and detailed I’m more of a forestry Japanese themed island guy but wow I like that
A few of my favorite spots in Rainbeaux, I can only include a few photos which was hard 😂
I still have more to decorate and little things to touch up in most areas but I’m super happy with how it’s all coming together
That might work
Idk will a playground make sense in a forest ?
hlysht

Do you still have the mosaic flooring code from the first picture?
Anyone able to take a look at my island and give me feedback? I'd really appreciate it, spend the whole day working on it. It's still in a blueprint kind of stage—need to actually move the buildings, but laying out the groundwork to plan the infrastructure and could use some advice as I'm still new to this, but also getting a little brain-fried from doing it all day. Help greatly appreciated if someone can take a look!
some shots i like from my island
oh yeah, it’s all coming together (ft. only four of the six rocks cause I thought the other two looked better elsewhere)
or I guess only 3 so far lol
I know that this is basically a completely subjective question, but what's a good size lawn/area to plan around a villager's house? How big is too big? How small is too small? etc.
Stardew Valley LOL
Yeah.. stardew valley is #2 in my book
nice
Nice
my island is ugly I would like someone to help me decorate
My plaza is 9 steps away from the beach. What can I put in its place?
Any ideas how to make a rural-city island look more festive?
Maybe trade out some of the things on the stalls for the smaller festive series items or toys
Pop a gift pile somewhere, or a festive tree
i feel like only the mushroom lamp will work but i'll try that
i think i'll put a log bench in the middle of it and that's all
idk
i just got the ability to terraform any tips for first step?
That would be a cool campsite
if my island was fully themed like that yeah, but because it's only one small area i feel like putting the campsite here wouldnt be that great
also the campsite have a direct view on this little forest and i like how it feel
Café so far! :D
My Christmas area 🥰
nice
👽🛸
Soooo cute!
My house and entrance leading up to my house. Shino at my arcade.
The Rainbeaux Arcade, Diner, and Movie Theater ❤️🌈
LOVE your use of the pergolas! It's such a nice vibe!
hey, how did you build walls?
If you mean what Kelsey did, then those are simple panels.
Simple panels my beloved
That path at the back 🥰🥰🥰🥰 can I get the I’d
where do you get simple panels
I got mine via Nookazon, when you get one you can buy more through the store and customize them with a DIY bench or at Harv’s
I’m building a rock garden but I’m not sure where I want to put it … the first picture is my secret beach I could expand it and put my rock garden down there and the second picture is at the top of the incline coming up from my secret beach
Sometimes they can be found at the store
I’ll let you come catalog a simple panel if you’d like
1st picture is the top and 2nd is my secret beach opposes
how to get panels?
You can get them from Nooks Cranny. People also sell them on Nookazon. I personally get mine from treasure islands.
Secret beach I'd suggest, it'd really fill up the space nicely
diy?
No. It’s not a diy.
Who else has been going castle crazy since the update?
does anyone else have tasha? how did you decorate her yard? pic from reddit just to show her exterior
SO cute
The pink bistro tables look fantastic
Thank you 🥺
How do you get the items for walls
ok thx
So, this is my island layout. Everything's getting revamped for a sort of witchcore theme with stars and whatnot from thing Celeste can give you (For example: the Moon chairs, Moon, and anything else that's cute and glows). So, I'm asking for any ideas I could try around my Resident services? The second image is for just how close my airport is to it. I'm willing to do waterfall and cliff ideas too!
I found them on nookazon, castle walls/gates/towers
I need somebody's opinion. I really like using a whole bunch of colourful flowers throughout my island. But, now that it has snowed, I feel like they look hella out of place. So part of my REALLY wants to remove them all and replace them only with red and white flowers. But the other part of me knows that is so much work, only to undo it in three months. What should I do 😧
You could do a garden here, with veggies/flowers
Where? Where I'm standing?
Yeah between the airport and resident services
Fair, yeah. Though I do have a pumpkin farm on the other side of the airport
Gotcha
Well, just a farm I suppose. It's a big area full of Fruit trees and pumpkins lmao
This is my area in front of resident services
Hella pretty
Very colorful
I think I want cliffs and waterfalls. Part of me wants to utilize a second height island so I can try out some sunken waterfalls too mmm
@hasty finch
That looks really good! And yeah, wow I haven't seen resident services that mis-aligned to airport before but I think you made it work!
Thank you weep. I'm in the idea process of revamping my entire island though. I want witchcore with stars but I have no clue what custom design paths I wanna use and all. Idk where to even look for any 😔
Yeah, I'm not sure either—I'm doing like a greco-roman and generally classical/ancient "historical" theme.
Ooooo, sounds hella good. I hope you can figure out what you're looking for. I had to get out of the Custom design channels cause I felt myself about to get stuck in there for h o u r s lmao
Can I see anyone's campsite, want to make mine better but I have no ideas
I'm looking for someone to help me design my map if anyone's up for it :) I'm going for a city theme. DM me please
@warm snow sorry my island is more rural but i can give ideas
That would be great ty!!
Ill send it in a bit my phone is being slow
Does anyone have any diagonal paths that are somewhat long? I needed to do that from my entrance to my resident services but I don’t know how to decorate around the path
Sorry it looks bad i couldnt download the pic @warm snow
I also need ideas for here
any ideas for this small empty space ?
re vamping my campsite, still got loads of flowers to plant
How do I fix this?
Time for winter on my island :)
What fence is that?
Log fenxe
Log fence, I believe it is in the 2.0 update
Fence*
Can I get some suggestions on what to put in these spaces Infront of my city hall. My island is medieval/gothic inspired.
we have like the exact same map! i just did a lot of terraforming. no designs in particular
Not mine. Just sharing cause I thought it was pretty. By @acnhwithbrooke on Twitter. DA 6831-4809-9871
Do you have some pics you can send me of your layout? Rn I have like a cool farm and some stuff near the dock for people
@twilit moss i haven’t finished the back half yet but this is what i have so far
Looks awesome!
thanks!
How did you get your town hall lined up so well?
i just kept resetting until it did
Ahhh dang
is yours just one off?
Yea it stinks
i would just terraform it so that you have to go left or right from the airport then lead into rs
I kinda just positioned some trading stands as the entrance
Part of me wants to reset but that would be a lot
After nearly a year from restarting and nearly 6 months without playing
Moop has reached 4 stars :D
It's not really a "good design" still trying to learn bits and redesigning the entire island but thought i'd share this cute moment of a sandwich being eaten and apollo singing
i'm struggling a lot deciding what biomes and themes i want on my island, what do you think of this idea? half desert, a mountain range + fjord cutting the island in half, a plateau forest above a rainforest, a more developed city entrance off the airport...
Pretty
I think “moon garden” would be a nice name for this area

Lol
Entrance under snow. Leads to a still-blank trading area
me too
I really need help with map planning
i also want to make a n entrance from my airport to my resident services but 😭 my resident services is to the side of the airport
So far what I’ve done with my island, I’m very happy with it, thoughts?
Honestly this is a really cool idea are u gonna go with it
nice
Super cool :0
How did you design it like the first picture? Is it a software?
Looking super quaint xunt
wheat field such a god tier multipurpose item
Hi guys! Im currently doing -cute/kid core? Ish? Not too colorful though, mainly red/pink/and white, my main theme around my island is illuminated ice creams, mush lamps, and flowers!! i need ideas for the front of my museum!! Please ping or dm me 💕
Thats cute!!
Does anyone wanna show me their island? I just started playing and was hoping to see someone else’s island :, )
i can! dm me for a dodo code
A little building behind my Resident services
Can we have the DA?
Let’s go shopping!
what do you guys think looks better? balloons or hedge?
Balloons
definitely balloons
Omg beautiful!!!
Balloons 100%
i hate how i made this : ' )
Is this swampcore? My first ever attempt at this theme. This is my entrance
OMG YES I LOVE IT ITS BEUTIFUL AND IT IS SWAMPCOREEEE
so many good decoraters and mine SuCkS
F a u n a
What is the vine and big flower thing called?
Giant Vine and Titan arum
Ty
Need some more ideas for stuff for in my farm… anyone got good ones?
maybe make a design that looks like a haybale or look for one
lmao its cute
haha thank you : D
Good idea thank you!!
yw i got another idea but u might have it already
Well I’m happy to hear any suggestions!! 😊
maybe make a design that looks like a tomato and put it on the ground like it fell (if u have a tomato patch)
Thats si good omg😧👏🏾
How do you guys stuff look so amazing wowowow
Hi guys! I'm Newer to ACNH and I'm starting to work on my home design and terraforming. any tips and tricks are appreciated and I hope I can make some new friends on here! (:
never give up keep working if you do give up just atleast try to go back into doing it
How are you planning to get all that sand? Is this a mod or something 🤔
i assumed they mean the sand flooring option using construction app
Terraforming and waterscaping can be draining for someone who hasn’t done either. I suggest starting with something simple then work towards doing more complex things.
my carnival 💚💕
So this is my Lil market place, what should I put in each booth to be sold?
something related to food or plants
You could put a pot with a flower next to it in one stall.
Updating my entrance with some of the new items. Airport is at the bottom right of the pic. open to suggestions 🙂
I love that, not too cluttered
maybe couple more flowers if you feel like it needs that 🤔
aw thanks! haha im happy you noticed cause i actually took a bunch of stuff out to make it more spacious/natural. I'll try playing with some more flowers!
no i drew it :)
Well u did use drawing software
Yo pass your dream code! Would love to visit there :0
i think they meant like a map designer
not a drawing software
but either way i used procreate
hey all I love seeing everyone’s islands im curious tho how do you plan it out? Like how do you know what items to use n stuff? im currently building my own and the tips would be helpful
^^
honestly being familiar with the items helps, that way you just know what exists and can imagine it. there's times where i just gone through every item on nookazon for inspiration
working on my island for the first time since the beginning of 2.0 (: i started playing breath of the wild shortly after the update so i’m heavily inspired off of that. working on my desert next !!
how did you do that?
Hey y’all, I’m very new to terraforming and am trying to transform my island into something similar to this layout where there’s a very “enclosed” feeling and little nooks. I’m feeling really overwhelmed though bc I’m not really sure where to start or if I’m supposed to plan how things will be laid out vs just going with the flow. For people who terraformed their whole island similarly, do you have any tips? Did you plan out everything first or just do one section at a time? If you planned, how much did you plan?
Heyo, if you have the determination I usually like to flatten everything and just start section by section rather than doing everything all at once. It is normal to feel overwhelmed while trying to create the island of your dreams, remember to take it easy on yourself and trust the process. I usually start with the shops such as nook and the clothing shop where I would like it in the map and then start on individual villager's houses
how do you flatten your island?
im super noob to all this
2 years late to the game LOL literally.
When you receive 3 stars island rating and KK slider has performed at your island. Tom nook will give you a terraforming option on your nook phone when you visit him at resident service.
bro i am trying to plan my island but no matter how much I do it i can’t make it look goooood
oooooh okok so it is pretty important to get KK to come and perform .. lol
ive totally been slacking on getting him here to play
what were your “planning” process like?
depends how you play the game but yeah it gives you more creative freedom with your island 🙂
its kind of annoying my residents services is so close to the airport
I’ve seen many people use a cliff/river to section them off from one another
I like looking at other people’s builds and see how they use items. I just make areas to my liking using items that I know I like and want to use.
When your resident service is closed to the airport, can be annoying and limited in creativity but I found it does give some character and so centralized. One of my island is super close to airport and I section it off with a small lake like a lobby before going to airport/resident service
sort out priority of things want to archive on island (i.e. xx themed xx place, a seaside xx) → estimate size, rough shape, location each zone would need → zoning your island → build off each revolving around an inspiration (icl. IRL) / wanting to highlight height difference/forced perspective / items you really want to put to use / imagine taking a scroll through it, just to name a few
(each step does not to be complete it’s fine to leave sections off until later)
Do y’all decorate cliffs that are just used to outline a building? I have a two tile wide cliff area that goes around my museum to give it that sunken look. I decorated the areas that can be seen. I’m debating on if I should decorate behind the roof of my museum or just leave it. I kind of don’t want to since you won’t be able to tell that there’s nothing there unless you look at a certain angle.
I do! I like having details that I catch when walking around at random angles, and sometimes things can be seen better than you think and add that little extra ambiance. In the past on the tiles cliff right behind my museum I've used alternating blue and white flowers to match, then moved to the whole space being taken by a dino skeleton, which I can see parts of from over the museum roof.
Is there a list of commonly used items used when designing your island? Something like the simple panels, etc. Or maybe theme specific commonly used items?
I plan on designing my island for the first time and I plan on drawing inspiration from the citycore theme.
Trying to see if there's any consolidated documentation
I need some ideas for sort of like what @gaunt depot put earlier
thanks haha i think i’ll try it out
amazing! what did you use for the roof?
The answer is to just do it
I think they used the gazebo
It just takes time
@surreal terrace @flat abyss it's made with two different levels of storefronts and behind the top layer is that gazebo that starts with a p i can't remember what it's called I just woke up
For those of you who like maps, feast your eyes on this eyesore
I lost my 700+ hour island the other day… so here’s part of my new festive/winter island to be completed by Christmas Day hopefully
Wow-
THAT IS SO CUTE
i love that
what arch would look best right at the entrance to resident services?
Flattening first is a good idea/makes sense, thank you!
@gaunt depot can you dm me some pics of the 2021 thing
no worries, good luck! I can't wait to see the images coming out from your island
omg i love that
Hello ! i'm thinking of making some sort of banquet in front of the samurai suit what do you guys think of this idea ? also is there any carpet that i could use or am i restricted to low tables ?
Needing building help
Hello! im hoping someone here can help me. Im having trouble building with castle items (walls/towers/gates). The gates are bigger than the walls/towers (WHY nintendo???!?), and that makes stuff not match up one end of my castle. So im trying to figure out how to fix it without it looking crappy. And whats worse if I need two gates for the castle im making lol...
I really am not sure how to fix this. IDK why in the hell nintendo wouldn't make the seizes match >.<
May need to either lose the side door or have a third on the other side somewhere to balance out wall lengths
If you really don’t want the third one to be usable it could be blocked off somehow
I've been trying to come up with an entrance I like for like... a week now. but I'm just not happy with anything. Maybe it's because I don't have a real theme in mind but I figured if i could at least design an entrance I like, the rest of my island would fall into place. Also I can hardly find any inspiration for parallel services/airports so I just dunno anymore. It's frustrating me pretty hardcore.
That's my island theme. 'hardcore'. lmfao. the aesthetic of being overwhelmed.
That is so sad BUT THAT IS SO NICE
Do you have a DA? Your map is awesome!
Just finished my convenience store 🥰
what would you call islands that give off this vibe? although not necessarily set in autumn 🤨
I think those all evoke a towny feeling… like Stardew Valley vibes 🙂
It’s got some orchard-ey-ness too
Nan's snowy witch house, and Kiki's Witch house from the Fall.
Hello, do people use 3D island planner ?
Some people do. I’ve mostly seen people use a 2D one.
Haha okay :)
But I would have liked to know how we can put the map on the game :)
Because the file is in .island
it’s a planner - a blueprint.
the tool isn’t to skip terraforming but that you can preview how the area will look like in 3D without the hassle of terraforming trail n error. it’s awesome
With what software can we modify the map (except NHSE)
I created a map for nothing.
Another view of my swampy entrance
Grasshopper on log a nice touch
thats so cool
Working on my Santa visiting area.
wow
Super Mario Sunshine reference?
Thank you so much 🥺
I guess it was needed to push me to try something new 😊
Redd’s beach, to be connected to the Cranny directly to the left
Hello! does anyone know if there is a new way of stunting trees? I have seen ppl plant multiple small trees without saplings near them……?🤔
those are actually holly shrubs, not trees
dont think you can stunt those, they might just be waiting for them to grow
Sadly, I don’t have online
nice
Only way to do that is to plant your tree somewhere that he can't grow and he will stay a little tree (a sprout basicly)
Are bookcases the tallest item in the game? I need something to represent the shelves
For my Amazon themed island
jail bars would make sense for an amazon warehouse..
oop
No worries, thanks anyway!
LMAO
Making my island stardew valley themed. Here’s Clint’s workshop. Still need to edit a couple things but I think it’s coming along nicely
This is looking perfect so far! Don't forget the shovel near the door. Keep up the good work 😊
It removed my shovel when I moved the house. It’s back there (:
Lmaoo
omg… where did you get the fish display this is so cute
The Carp Banner was obtained from Nook Shopping from April 28 to May 5 as a celebration of Children's Day. You could probably find someone to trade for it in #furniture-trade 😄
Me me me
My island do be looking a little chaotic today
thats chaotic?what is mine then lmao
If that’s chaotic then Idk what’s peaceful, that’s an amazing section
they are enjoying their doritos
nah that's my mom lol
where would yall recommend I put my nook shop? Like, where should I plcae it in relation to everything?
also wondering
I tend to put my nooks to the right near my RS since I visit it a lot.
You should put it around ur museum und tailors
Near RS, near my normal running around route lol
I like to do mine in some sort of plaza area
thats what I was thinking! but, I want to make sure I can move things later as we rogress
yeah i moved all the houses to the beach and now im setting up where theyre all going
anyone have any coal mine inspo?
Thx
Molly's reading area! 🦆
castle town!!!
balls
Ables are finally in the Christmas Spirit
@raven pine oh my, your ables is so cute
Thank you so much 😊
Yw <3
what do you guys think of it ?i'm planing to put a meal if front on every zen cushion
i was thinking of having different colors for the cushion but i feel like having all of them with the same color will look better
Maybe some low tables?
i tried but i like the idea of the food being on the floor more
@dawn oasis omg beutifull
Rodeo's wizard cottage.
I hust begin It's a small world and Splash Mountain
not sure if this is the right place to put this question but my resident services is really close to the beach i’m i’m not sure how to make an entrance fit, if anyone has and inspo pictures or ideas i would love to hear it, thank you!
Hm... My airport is decently far from my RS. 1 trick u can use is to curve away from RS and make the path seems quite long even if RS is near.
RS means Resident services
So, I redid my Able Sister’s area. I like it more than what it originally looked like.
great idea tysm!
np
The "zen low table" is the lowest table in the game. Give it a try! Many of the other "low" tables are actually super high, like they go up to your character's chin. Zen low table is my fav cuz it's actually low.
Nice interior! Very cool!
I need to obtain more than just the castle wall, so many people are making castles and i want in
ok i'll try them if i ever get to have one
Finally got around to updating some of the seasonal paths on my island to their winter version! I just need to replace the bushes with holly bushes and maybe plant red/white flowers? (1st pic is just a long straight path I habe on my island, 2nd is a sort of "neighborhood" area for my villagers)
The next thing i need to do is get some kind of street lamp to add in between the bushes, and start sprucing up the area around my house...
(Ill take more pics tomorrow once its daytime haha)
This is ugly😫 👍
I know this is kind of low-end compared to a lot of stuff on here, but I made this fossil-shaped pond outside of my museum!!!!
@timber geyser than is so cute?
@lucid stratus Thank you so much!
@timber geyser yw!!
This is not low-end. Share what u want
its quite nice
@tidal dagger Thanks! 😄
I made the harry potter theme my town tune
I made “At Last I See the Light”
Cute!
Im kinda dumb how do ppl add videos on here?
Nvm
I didnt have my volume upp-
#town-tunes would be a better place to put this kind of stuff
I have this sitting area that I’ve been working on for Butch and Daisy that I love but I’m so conflicted on what to put behind the couches, any ideas? It feels empty without anything but the space is awkward
something ilke that ? also with zen low table i have less space to put some seats / cushion
because i can't put food on 2 table a the same time :/
like i have 3 seats on each side instead of 4
not a big difference
@oblique vine splash mountain looks awesome so far!
finally got my rock garden placed for my museum’s entrance! can’t wait to finish decorating
not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i could really use some inspo for how to make the transition area between grassy land and beach look better. its always so jarring to me, i just want it to flow a little more organically
WIP of library/study area leading up to the museum and a lake area
very nice^^
I like the effect of sandy pathing in the grass and plants in the sand a lot. Helps to blur the edges. Maybe also some dirt or green pathing in sand? Haven’t tried that
love this !!
how bout fountain for day and moss pond for night? 🙂
fountain looks better imo
love the idea of the pond, would be better if there were other similar glowing/moss items in the area
Tbh I like both but if it’s for the museum, fountain
fountain in my ipinion
Moss pond, it fits the natural aesthetic in the screenshot
i thought the same
Looking for some help and inspiration, please! I’ve built this diagonal bridge to connect my airport to the resident services’ plaza and, as you can see, there’s a straight line between the bridge and the plaza but I didn’t want a straight looking path leading up to it so I used two different paths together to try and make it look more natural and give it a nice flow but it’s clearly not working! I know I need decorations, flowers and trees along the path but I still feel like I’m missing something or I’m doing something wrong! I’ve been staring at it for days now and nothing’s changed LOL I’d appreciate your input, thanks! ☺️
Small garden right beside my house
wow
Maybe curve the path a little bit and put a picnic area or something in that space? Some trees, bushes and flowers that fit the colour scheme should also fit in!
That’s a great idea, I’ll definitely try that! Thank you 🙂
I made a crop field of sorts with 15 in each column
Thats cool, its kinda like pokemon or other old school rpg housing, i bet you could probably remake a town from pokemon or something
Only 15. I have 25
i did sorry i forgot lol
Hello, I’m resetting layout to find one lined up to the airport, wasn’t sure if bottom left is one, or keep resetting?
With the low right you could do sum cool with it
if you reset does everything you had reset
and your progress?
Oh, you can do with terraforming magic later on. It’s the Resident Services that cannot be moved.
Oh then I would choose top left
Not my first rodeo, got new OLED and wanted to start from scratch. Had over 200 hours in my original Switch before I sold it.
Yes, if you reset, everything you have is reset. All DIYs, catalogued items, everything is set back to 0
by reste you mean the whoel new island thing right
Yes
Yeah, I’m ok with that. Used to time travel in my old save hehe
I know. I was just responding to Ida’s question 👍🏻 I know some people thrive off building new islands and dream addresses, so kudos to you! I can’t do that 😂
I like being able to not have to recollect seasonal DIYS because they took FOREVER to collect. That way I can just spend the season decorating rather than hunting balloons again lol
Scary lol
New entrance!! with a Julian photobomb 🥰
