When you place your path down make sure the corner is already rounded, then place your design on top it it

Where do you get the construction tool to terraform your island?

@hasty stag you get the terraforming app once you reach 3 stars and K.K. Slider has performed on your island. The terraforming tools are unlocked from the ABD machine under Redeem Nook Miles they are permits one is for the waterscaping permit and the other is for cliff construction permit both are 6,000 nook miles each. The path options are 2,000 nook miles each but the custom design path option is 2,300 nook miles.

I wouldn’t add more trees yet. Unless you know you want them. If you’re putting water, cliffs, or buildings in there you’ll want those first and more trees just means more digging them up and bringing them back....

well it depends. if you really enjoy the layout i'd recommend adding asymmetrical patterns to move the focus of the asymmetry of the res services to scenery. or if you're going to end up terraforming a bunch anyways, you could always reset until a symmetrical island pops up. either way, it should look pretty good :)

you're going to want to add evergreen and regular hardwood, because it makes it seem like a better variety. weeds will help however i recommend rocks and such. for the spooky vibe, add sign posts and other custom designs that are the same vibe u want. add some tree stumps as well, and add fossils onto the stumps as well. makes it look nice :) @bold mirage

Looking at other peoples layouts does help decide what you want for yours, you add something for the ones I posted and another idea you seen somewhere and mash it up, just play with the terraform and test out cliff shapes and size till they feel right to you @supple zephyr I always tell this to people when it comes to terraform

@livid condor so you mean that there will be two levels of terraforming, and then on each level there will be bridges connecting each little house yard (4) to another, and then inclines to the upper levels and bridges connecting the little yards (4) to one another on the upper levels (and the yards have the houses too)? And also 2 houses on the bottom level with 2 player houses
