also i see you like to have major landmarks on cliffs after an incline. one thing that looks really nice on island is when you have that incline leading up to the let's say..museum, then you keep walking, see more, and then go back down to the second level if that makes sense.

hey so honestly i would just do a general idea of where you want specific things. you totally don't have to go as hardcore as i did, but i would work on one section at a time. for example, i knew i wanted glamping by the beach and also wanted it on the bottom right because more space, so i just started on the bottom right corner and expanded from there

That way when you get terraforming you'll be able to teraform freely without moving the homes around first.

It costs bells to move homes around and you will want to build a village probably - somewhere on the Land.
If you put everything on the beach at the beginning you'll have to pay just once when you want to move homes back on land post terraforming
Right now you don't have access to all of your land - later you'll be able to build inclines and bridges to connect things.
