My island is filled with transparent custom design paths (to prevent weeds and flowers from spreading) so I would only want ALL the transparent paths not to show

My map on my old island looked absolutely horrible, because I was putting custom street paths on dirt, and then I noticed that the dirt didn't have an effect on the street paths, and rather than removing the dirt I had already put down, I just stopped doing it from then on
So half of my island map looked horrible and covered in dirt that was never actually visible to the player

@warped umbra Your shops don't have to be up high, the best way to fix that is probably to get rid of the natural 2nd and 3rd tier of the island, and completely flatten anything you haven't already flattened
Because sometimes, the issue is that your island is still in it's natural shape, that can get in the way of doing what you want to do

Because sometimes, the issue is that your island is still in it's natural shape, that can get in the way of doing what you want to do
@rustic rover Actually I've flattened ever thing and built the shape from the ground up. my issues the shape blends in with the second layer, and that's extremely critical for my island design. I'm guessing it's part of the game limitations or something, but like you said I think I'm going to need a lot of simple panels or rives to break that up. thanks!

@prime harbor It feels a little unnatural, nature bends in all types of curves and such. never will you find anything in a straight line or at a 90 degree angle in nature, keep this in mind while decorating. Even with paths you can break those up a bit

Because when she's doing fireworks i like her, she's super nice. Also getting sick of her telling me about her socks and how her family are doing great, i no longer care, it was that last week. And I know that she isn't doing it, but the ratings are never actually bad, they're always good, and she takes something bad out of them. You could let it be up to us what we do rather than telling me what I need on the island based off of an algorithm, or even better (pitching an idea here) we could have people rate our islands.

I have terraforming thats basically the same as when I started the game, but Ive built around it at this point, any ideas to help redesign it? Im not sure how I would do it because theres a big part of just walking area with no scenery really to it because of how narrow it is
And on top of this, the water ive put in place of certain areas is really hard to get rid of because I put it there to put bridges over and such, so the water is completely different than when I first started, but terraforming is similar

I think starting at the entrance is a good plan! You can do it in sections and work on connecting them later on- that's kind of what I did.

My advice would be to make them big and widespread, it helps to make the buildings and areas more set into the cliffs. As for general cliff shape: avoid any right angles in the cliffs and boxy shaped cliffs. It really helped me to constantly walk the paths of my island and try to shape the cliffs to either guide along or to cut off areas, overall just making sure they flowed and transitioned well @brittle isle

I need y’all advice. So I finally got my neighborhoods all set up and they all look like this as far as fencing, spacing, etc. I’m going to make each yard themed to the specific villager but I want something to tie them all together and make them cohesive. I’m planning on putting a tree in the upper corner of each plot. So, these are the options; A) All the trees are orange trees which are the native fruit. B) All are fruit trees but all the different fruits. C) All are money trees. What do you guys think? Or do you have a better suggestion?

I did a little farm near a wetlands I have, pumpkin 🎃. doesn’t have to be massive adding in grave stones by it and fencing as I go, but this is day one. Just play around have fun with it. So far I’ve been able to make it work on my island and it’s based off a state park near where I live.
