How does my orchard look so far? Most of my concerns are around my paths, since I’m pretty confident with the tree and house placement. The number of trees I'm gonna have in my orchard is about 20, so that's 4 apple, 4 pear, 4 cherry, 4 peach and 4 orange trees. Not exactly a lot, but I'm sure it'll turn out okay since I've also scattered a few native fruit trees around my island

Howdy fellas! Since the game came out in march I've been working on a spooky Halloween but with hints of traditional japan island. I'm almost done with it after weeks of planning n months of gathering supplies to decorate it, but there's one specific area around the dock where I have no idea what to do with. @cerulean harness it depends on what you want. For the new update, it'd be fun to go sorta gothic, creepy-cute, or harvest-y. Some general themes that I think would work that I don't see as often would be an island-wide beach theme (it is an island after all!). I've also seen people fill their islands with large sections of "rivers" to make bayside areas. You should really just look for enviornments, color schemes, and motifs that you find pleasant. Sort of an "imagine your happy place". I've also seen specific themes, like recreating towns from real life or from other games.

@still kernel it was a part of the last update. It allows you to lay in a bed in your house and dream others’ islands with the use of a code or “dream address”. It allows you to visit an island without actually having the person online nor needing their gates open/flying ! Same goes if you sleep and set one up with Luna, it allows the island time, and setup you have at that moment to be set to allow people to visit. So for instance if you do a specific time in the day (6pm), people who visit your island through dream address will also be visiting your island at 6pm if that makes sense!

@barren mesa I store only the hybrid flowers I may use in the future on the beach, for the basic ones, just store their seeds in your house just in case.
If you have a field of many flowers you want to clear out, it is faster to place and use a bin next to the field (like the garbage bin), which are furnitures that enable you to toss items. Flowers cost almost nothing, so you don't need to go back and forth to Nook's.

@manic eagle I think the decor around ables looks great! It only looks a bit bare bc you don't have much pathing/custom designs on the ground so you could consider adding it for a fuller look. Otherwise a few leaf piles work fine for a more messy/cluttered vibe and they don't obstruct paths for walking~

@iron coral well for me, my island is kinda in different sections split up by small areas. And some villagers I did group together also based on area. So for instance I put Raymond and Diana together between my art display area and my library and gave them both a little shop. Or even Merengue and Marshal I put together and gave merengue a bakery and marshal a cafe and they’re separated by a cliff and a small walkway! So sometimes splitting them into groups to go together flows well

She has her villagers separated but also kind of grouped and it flows well and her island in general is STUNNING. And May’s is themed orange but includes a lot of trees and a very natural vibe! Might help better with inspo!

I need some inspiration for an orchard and pumpkin patch. I have a big space on my island that’s literally just full of flowers and trees, it’s begging to have something done with it but I’m just not sure how to incorporate them! I'd suggest reducing the amount of flowers used and spreading the remaining more sporadically, maybe stick to only white and pink. Mixing (white/pink/red) mums with (white) cosmos and (white/pink) hyacinths might work better than mums and roses. The pink shell lamp is very pigmented compared to the other pink items so maybe customize the pink shell into either pearl or white; it's easier to transition white into pastel pink compared to white into hard pink (imo).
That's all I can think of currently tho.. Hopefully that'll work out? @lethal flame

Mine is just a simple three tiered with 3 villagers on each side( one villager on the bottom floor and the other on the right etc)
Ive seen people make it bigger by having 2 villagers on each side, but that doesnt leave rooms for unique yards

I don't know if you can have a bridge next to the inclines, but I'm positive you can't have it that close to the shops.
You may need to demolish the inclines and extend the cliffs by one to get your desired result, though.
