@covert summit I would place whatever villager farm you're looking to do on first level land and inland with maybe potential access to lake/pond. Most farmland is are floods plains so low flat land near rivers.

Hey guys! I’m wondering if anyone has any advice for me. I’m struggling with how to transition from area to area. Not only do I not know what to put in the area to the left of my graveyard, I also don’t know how to smoothly transition from place to place

@lament monolith I think a lot of in between areas I have either have cliffs terraformed with trees and such, or a seating area. So for instance this is a pic of the area between my shops and my RS (below my character is a small lavender field)

@lament monolith sometimes it helps to build up small decorative cliffs to separate two areas if they're super different from each other! You can also have a stream running down the middle with a bridge. Otherwise, with what you have going on in the video you can also try to make a dense forest around the cemetary with cedar trees to make the cemetery more secluded and spooky (if that's a vibe you wanna go for)

@versed star the thing that helped me figure out how i like to do my island is just know that nothing is permanent, its totally ok to do and undo and try something and have to change it! the more you try out the better!! whats also helped me is just taking it 1 area at a time instead of trying to map out the whole thing, i instead pick an area and think about what i want it to be and put some work and care in that part! the parts i care about most always wind up being my favorite:D

Did I want a cramped and cluttered island or did I want open space? Do I want a dark or bright and colorful island? Natural or maybe more city like? And you should definitely check out some #dream-addresses🌜 and if you want I can dm you a link for tips and tricks for terraforming that might help. And def check out the pinned section of each channel! They have some good info you can use in each!

@woven drift I found that working on smaller sections and let the ideas come to you as you go works best and is less stressful because creativity comes sporadically for me! Things can and will change even if you have your entire map planned out because it might not fit, doesn't turn out, etc. So it's ok to take it slow and go with the flow ~

@woven drift it’s a custom design. You can either add it through the Ables and use the Nookphone to “place on ground” or wait until you get 3 star and get a terraforming app from Nook which will allow you to place the paths by using the app!

@fallen sinew (not my pic) fall season works the best to capture the dryness and warm tones of a savannah! Make an open space with lots of weeds and a long cliff in the horizon; planting trees that are planted sparsely and each spaced apart and adding some mush stools and garden rocks (like the tall one) would look great

I want to make kind of a country theme? I’m trying to figure out placement. I changed my island around a little while back but now I want to change it around completely again lol.

I just want a lot of trees and not so much like a city, more on the natural side but figuring out a layout and the placement seems more difficult than I expected
