@north knoll it looks great. a few ideas come to mind for me. first, making one of those natural baths to put somewhere, as you have a fair amount of empty space. second, making use of leaf piles, as well as various garden rocks and putting flowers around them. third (and this one is more involved), using stalls and panels to make some kind of small temple nearby. you can put a terra cotta design on them and use the panels for a door. i did a similar thing to make a barn, i will show you a screenshot.

@north knoll this has changed somewhat since i took this screnshot, but here's the idea for how you would make the structure. in your case, you could have a black terra cotta design (which i think exists somewhere via code) and use the latticed simple panel default design for the doors.

But, since the inspiration has taken so long to hit me, I've started working on my villagers. I'm def not paying 100s of nmt for characters (someone wanted that for Lucky & also Gengi too) unless I begin to aquire a build up of NM and no longer need them... takes too long to hit 100 nook miles alone, so 200 nm for 100 nmt is ridiculous. If i get a big character to end up in my campsite, I'm gifting them to someone lol.

@twin birch I would suggest only working in a small area until you get used to it (like your entrance) and slowly work your way through your island. Don't flatten everything at once since it will take time to get used to terraforming and making the flow work for you. also not flattening makes the rivers easier since they will be more natural.

@limpid aspen i agree with swapping the brick well in for the stone one, and maybe replace the wash tub with a water pump. also a lot of your issues could be solved with little "natural" items and custom designs. little pebbles on the ground, garden rocks, leaf piles, shrubs, wooden stakes.

@vapid ether I shared mine, it is more of a gothic forest but you can easily change the flowers, trees and paths up to make it look brighter. My RS is pretty close too and 1 space off center so was a challenge figuring out something i liked.
