@limber ginkgo Im more of a fan of the same level bamboo exhibit personally. Though, if you added more waterfalls to the lifted one, it might look better
Also, I like it how its stone arch then 2 then 3 terracotta soldiers better. It gives them a bit more visibiliy

Some tips I have are: layering short to tall items gives a lot of depth, rounded corners on cliffs looks real rad, broken up rivers and waterfalls also looks rad, and check out island tours on YouTube or here for inspo!!! Here’s one of my newest areas for an example

@molten dust it looks like a combination of path circles and individual squares. when it comes to that type of thing, my recommendation is to mix and match the in-game paths and just experiment until you come up with something you like. and try to remember that just because it looks good on the map, it might not in-game (and vice versa)

The best thing on my island is probably something that o my I know about. All I did was I put a dang SQUID FIGURE behind a cliff on top of an ink puddle to make it an inkling

@abstract kelp for me personally, I designed my island as a whole from the entrance and worked my way out. But I also thought of ideas I wanted. So for instance Judy is getting a star gazing area. And Marshal got a cafe. Diana and Raymond are apart of my library area. And as I slowly worked through my island I built those areas with their house as well!

@waxen wind depends on what kind of "tokyo/kyoto" style you are after, the period, and how serious you are about the 'source material' vs. just 'inspirations'
there's a lot from castles, gardens, temples, slum streets, fish markets/ shops, countryside etc, for layouts and actual theme of zones.
