@warm pond maybe have the tricera head facing forward instead of to the side so the sense of symmetry is maintained (sorta), and if you want a light source for that night time aesthetic have lanters where the bushes are and put the bushes beside that, besides that the floor lights look really cool at night but maybe have one infront of the tricera face for that sweet face illumination and maybe white streetlamps in the place the floor lamps originally are, hopefully that'll work out? uwu

@gray wolf what helped me was to look at some actual rivers on maps to get an idea of how they twist and turn, how they're narrower in some areas and wider in others. in general, if you can avoid long stretches of straight sides, your rivers will instantly look more natural

@fallen citrus my villagers used to be together but when i made that area, i didnt give them enough yard. so i wanted to change it but i couldnt because there was no way i could redesign it without destroying the entire island. and i realized that i already have themes set up around the island, so i decided to move their houses into the themed areas that match. if they didnt match, i gave them a theme like sprinkles ice cream parlor and marshals cafe. while the other 2 that dont have a spot are in my water bungalow resort area.

@civic lark because of the mechanics of how trees grow, (if you're starting from saplings) there can't be more than 12 trees in a 9x9 area centered on a tree or that tree will not grow.
This layout I've found wokrs well for creating a good looking orchard, that you can see what you're doing, but also allows trees to grow:

if you repeat this pattern all of your trees will be able to grow, and will be set up for easy harvesting

this probably is generic advice, but try to use the camera angle (the camera always faces forward) to your advantage. When you make cliffs or trees, try to not over crowd the paths, (unless that's your intention) @vernal trellis

i personally think the flowers look adorable! maybe add a few mixed in and some weeds for a more natural look if that's what you're going for, but other than that it looks amazing!

@wispy jay i want to do a naturall looking island. i completely destroyed my island because before i don‘t liked it. i terraformed first the hole island and now i decorate every single area. so i think it took so long because i‘m a little bit perfectionist and i need to trade the items i don‘t have

@wispy jay unfortunately i don‘t have a pic from my island map at the moment but the main theme should be forrest/natural looking so for example i have now the orchard, at the moment i‘m working on a bamboo forrest, than i have the villager areas so i mean i have some little and some bigger areas but they are cutted with cliffs. some areas i have finished in my mind and others i plan spontaneously. i hope u understand what i mean
