@fallen oyster use buildings to your advantage to get some perspective. i also would advise getting a neon sign (i heard a rumor those were removed from the game but i don't know if that's accurate). make sure to utilize street and sidewalk patterns for paths. @woven drift my tip would be to use as many mushroom DIYs as possible (and some star DIYs within reason)

What I'd say is start with your entrance, add some cliffs, and stop looking at pinterest, people say it's the best idea
It's not, it makes you hate your island because they're better XD
Get some flowers that follow a colour scheme, and pay someone to make mush stuff if you don't have it already.
It makes things come together!

ngl might be controversial but i think if ur having trouble with ur island u should definitely stick with a theme. restrictions help u be more creative its the same with art. with too many random ideas ppl get overwhelmed and dont do anything rather than doing little by little. thats just my opinion.

@lean light I would suggest just picking up any dropped items. Also make a plan. My island is also a mess and what I do it work on a little bit of my island until I like it a lot. That way I don’t go crazy trying to do everything in one day lol. Just take breaks and you will eventually be satisfied with your island! ☺️

@jade knoll I havent done that before, but I'd say its similar with bridges, you have to be standing right to place a path there. When I say bridges, if you say the brick bridge for example, the short pillar is a bit trick to spread a path there but eventually you'll get it by standing the right place.

I would recommend looking at island tours on YouTube and just try and plan out different areas you want and draw it out whether it’s mentally or on paper. Personally there’s a lot a regret with the lack of terraforming in some parts of my island I wish I had done @bronze tangle

Instead of restarting, if you have enough money, you can move all your buildings on the beaches and then just terraform the whole island flat
