@viscid dock It won’t work. You’ll either have to adjust path to 2 or 4 if you want the stairs in the middle. Everything places in 1x1 squares. I usually dig holes to figure out spacing

@woven drift I’m not crazy about your residential area. But if you like it, that’s great! Overall you could probably use more dimensions throughout your island. I don’t see many tiers throughout it. Here’s my map. The hotel is two levels starting on the second level. My residential area is 3 levels.

@celest acorn Mmm I don't know if this is what you're looking for exactly, but I split my islanders up into little neighborhoods. Lionel and Claudia have a very ostentatious/fancy flower garden, for example. All my peppy villagers went to the beach with a lot of activity areas around them, etc etc. Spreading them out around the island might give you room to show scenery change between areas.

If you mean fossils then I think it's just preference. Not sure the names of all of them but a lot of people seem to have the one that looks like a giant deer in front of their museum, or a t rex
