@woven drift idk how large is your available space, but i think a well-spaced orchard/garden can fill up a big area!! or if it fits your island, tourist spots? things that take up space on my island be my garden, fishing area, stargazing area, marriage area. i also ended up using fat rivers to make each area their own little island

@lunar oyster i think cramming too much in there makes it too crowded. i would choose one or two pieces and work with those. for example, having the bench alone and surrounding it with flowers could be really cute, no need to force the other pieces in too

@solid hedge since the area there is narrow, the custom path shouldnt be too complex. id recommend a custom rock path there since they work great in tight spaces and would compliment the area quite nicely

i think maybe trying to get a transparent design that uses the green of the ACNH grass w/ the textures would be nice??? but otherwise i think just using the path patterns from PKMN would be cool, and it already looks so cool!

@frank linden I think maybe it's a little weird to have lanterns which usually mount into the ground on top of a blanket? Also for me I love having picnic areas asymmetrical so they look more lived in. When you sit down for a picnic, your first thought is never to set everything out "just so"

@frank linden the updated picnic area looks amazing! I think maybe recolor those stools to a darker brown, and change the pattern on the cushions so they don't blend in quite so much? I really like the pink/teal/white diagonal lines from Able's. The teal or pink thick/thin lines also look really nice with that blanket.

@surreal urchin that's adorable! I'd suggest adding a handcart for some added 'clutter' and flowers bordering the swinging bench like you have between the rocking chairs. I'm not a huge fan of the white really crisp stones under your fire pit considering how rustic the path looks. A dirt pit with that same stone border around the trees might look more realistic.

Sure! I posted a link to a spreadsheet a few minutes ago with their likes @low egret. That might help. If that left house is Tia's, maybe give her a white iron garden table and chairs for a little tea area. Not sure who that other house belongs to. I usually try to put out items that match their personality/house.

I need some help on what to putting in these two places.

@gentle flower I think the mismatching colors is throwing me off. It looks like there's 6 different types of paths alone there, plus all the different patterns. and colors

I'd probably start by making the brick area wood like your paths on the outside. You can always add fencing to separate the area from other parts. Is that a music shop, or a place for concerts? If it's a shop, maybe a little table with a fax machine or sideways/backwards typewriter to make it look as though things are for sale would help.

I think maybe lose the dirt paths and opt for some custom "tile" looking paths instead, because the grass in between isn't really doing you any favors. I'd also probably dump the wheels for either more stalls or a seating area if those are food stalls. You could add some stove/oven type items to make part of the area look like they're selling food. Hedges or flowers to decorate, maybe?

The stalls are unfortunately not super good at showing up like clutter when they're pointed straight on like that, so maybe move the displays to the sides and turn them sideways then put stuff in front of them to add to the scene? You could move the music area to the back center instead.

I absolutely love the camping area you posted! The pathing and item placement is so nice. It looks rustic and remote, but still lived in.

The checkerboard pathing in the big bamboo forest once again throws me off here. I'd really love to see the dirt pathing you used in your campsite area instead. Do you have the rock reflecting pool looking DIY? it would fit so well here, with some stone stools or bamboo stools/benches @gentle flower. I love the placement of the bamboo itself. It feels like a forest!
