Okay so I have a question about home and resident plot sizes. I am looking at that image that gives their plot sized but I’m super confused and keep fudging up my placement. For the plots is that invisible space in front that you cannot dig through the outlined spaces on the bottom of the grid? And wouldn’t that technically mean theres another extra line on top since you can dig on those tiles? I keep messing up the placement and just want to avoid that going forward.

I put a bridge outside of my airport, after my entrance (be careful about getting stuck) and then I put flower beds on either sides that are gated at the front, and my paths follow naturally from there.

@vernal trellis play the game for a while until you get the terraforming and paths feature. after you have this work on little parts at a time. while you are waiting to get the terraforming and path feature get as much furniture that suits your aesthetic, so when you start you already have stuff. hope this helps!

I did that at first and I ended up wanting bigger yards sooo now I'm moving everything which does suck xD But it depends on the overall feel of your island/what you personally enjoy, natural yards work for some people!

@woven drift idk how large is your available space, but i think a well-spaced orchard/garden can fill up a big area!! or if it fits your island, tourist spots? things that take up space on my island be my garden, fishing area, stargazing area, marriage area. i also ended up using fat rivers to make each area their own little island
