@woven drift I’m about to reform my island for a 3rd time (because I’m indecisive lol) but I think it’s most helpful to flatten everything then terraform. Blank canvas can be daunting but I know I feel I’ve been getting better at terraforming every time.

I personally think flattening an island wouldn’t really help me. I enjoyed working around what my island already offered and played around that way. Working in smaller areas at a time is probably the best way to go imo

I flattened out my island and it helped a lot. I felt the cliffs took up way too much space and I wanted to work on adding them where I wanted them. I’m slowly working on one section at a time and I feel way less stressed and overwhelmed.

@wheat shore Hi! I would suggest you checking the animal crossing island visit/tour videos on YouTube first before terraforming your island. The most important thing is to know what your theme is. For example, do you want to create an island that looks like a modern city? A forestry island full of trees? A cottage core or fairy core themed island? It will be so much easier once you know what you are after. There are island design tools that will allow you to design your island on a computer, you just need to google it.

@wheat shore and do not flatten your island unless you are creative and know what you are doing. It will be a nightmare if you do that without having a good plan in place.

@gray mural before you restart, try terraforming some cliffs and waterfalls (3 maybe) around your enterance from the airport...the height gives it the illusion that your island has some extra space before your plaza and you can make them waterfalls in an L-shape so you can create a more wind-y path towards the plaza

@onyx thunder Cute space! if you're not looking for symmetry i think a fountain would be nice on one patch and some seating space on the other patch? but if you would like symmetry, a coffee-stop? some seating and a cafe menu? or maybe some cute custom stalls with items your visitors can grab if you have extras? if you have your shops nearby there are custom design codes to make the stalls match

@woven drift Hardwood will give you 17 items daily (fruit trees don’t count, only cedar and plain hardwood) you get 10 trees with bells, 5 with wasps and 2 with furniture so you should always have at LEAST 17 hardwood or cedar trees on your island. (I have exactly 17)

@swift pier The same thing happened to me! Apparently there's only so many rocks that can spawn in a certain square so try expanding the area and spread the spaces out more:)

I had to play around with it for like two hours, it was so annoying 😢

There is no rocks per acre limit; you can have all six in the same acre square. They just need clear 3x3 around them

@swift pier the same happened to me, there's a glitch or something where the rock isn't able to spawn, so I had to remove all the mannequins I put down and then the next day it spawned somewhere
