I noticed that quite a decent amount of people put their residental area on the east of their island. The thing is i reserved that spot for the orchard, and i've also made a decent entrance to my current residental area..

Those are both really good ideas... I think I need to rethink the layout of my island honestly, like water and hills and stuff. I came up with something a while back and did it in-game, but I'm not really feeling it anymore

@woven drift usual advice I've seen is to not flatten entirely, but to work in segments. It can be pretty overwhelming and demoralizing to work with a totally flat island.

@indigo oak Steal/Copy ideas from pinterest is the easiest tip I can give you ☺ There's so many ideas there its a goldmine.

Also another big tip is to draw out a vague idea of what and where you want to place things on your island. You dont need to be an artist to do this, it's just circles and lines of areas you want to put things in. Or just use the virtual map maker pinned to this channel. If you got any specific questions let us know 😉

@indigo oak I would try drawing out your island roughly/taking a screenshot of your map and drawing over it before you terraform! saves you a lot of time. Starting on a blank paper and planning is a lot easier than tearing your island down+paying nook to move things.
