@paper bramble people often get demotivated when they flatten everything and see how much you have to do. Unless you have a solid plan for the overall theme and everything you want, I wouldn't recommend it

to me, it's like Dominic said, work on certain areas and that will keep you motivated to move onto the next area until you're done

@slim moon if it’s ur firsts Animal crossing game it’ll be really tough and it’s best to enjoy the game and make your island as fabulous as you can!! Other people have played the past games and have very deep understanding of the games mechanics and how it works, in addition to being apart of large AC support groups from past games. Don’t feel like your behind or not doing good, the way your playing is the most thrilling and exciting because you could play for years and not get bored and always see new things

@zinc iris what i did when i made these was i saved a picture of my map and edited it in paint to give me a base for creating the rivers. once i had that done, i used the path tool to outline where i wanted the water to go. this was the MOST helpful part for me. the path tool shows up on the map and is waaay easier to use than the water tool, so i could lay some paths, check the map, and adjust to match my plan better. once the paths were laid i just went to town with the water tool on top of the paths

Okay so, for advice I would recommend a number of things to think about when decorating outside a villager's house. Firstly, think about how their house looks and the colour scheme that would go well with it. If it's a light coloured house then white/birch stuff will likely look okay. You can also think about materials the house is made of, so some houses that are made out of light sticks look good on the beach. Next, think about the villager's interests. If my villager is a jock then a gym area is a good fit, or if they read then a small library might be a good idea. Finally, think about surroundings and how they connect to other houses. Most people do gridded houses but sometimes, like me, you have houses spread out and have to do something interesting with how you group them. For instance, my mathilda and Apollo have similar dark themes so they fit well and I put them next door to each other then themed them around that @worn sedge

@red prairie I would suggest having space in between for the villager house. Like measure it so it's evenly spaced. Also put them all in one area so that they're easier to find( if you prefer)
